Wealth, Fame, and Power! W. D. Gaster, The King of The Pirates, had all those and the rest of what the world had to offer! Through many battles and trials, he had reached the pinnacle of the world's virtues and had nothing left but an illness that plagued him.
He brought himself in and was held at a worldwide public execution. Before he was executed, a man from the crowd asked:
"Where did you hide all your treasure?!"
To which the King of Pirates smiled and said:
"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left the most important treasure in the world on an island! Go and find it! 'For the next pirate that finds the UnderPiece, will be claimed the new King of The Pirates!"
Those were his final words before he was executed. He smiled to his death.
With those words, the world was flipped upside down as he created The Golden Pirate Era! People and already existing pirates from around the works started to sail the seas in search of the treasure that W. D. Gaster claimed to be-
The UnderPiece!
It had been Twenty Years since, and people have yet to find the treasure he was talking about. Except for one girl, who is now going to change the world by storm for the sake of her people.
This is the story of Muffet D. Baker and her way to becoming Queen of the Pirates!
Christie started to glow a tint of dark blue underneath her skin, like how Muffet would glow a tint of purple after using Second Gear.
Light blue smoke was escaping from her pores as her body was heating up from the inside.
Hydra Gordons, a man of unwavering conviction and strength to back it up, didn't hesitate to put up his guard.
If this girl was anything like the last one, he shouldn't give you any openings. Regeneration aside, he knew he had his limit.
"This girl can't possibly hit as hard as the Spider-Girl-!" He thought, "She had that strength because her spider proportional muscles allowed her to be superhuman, add that to the training she must've done, and of course, she'd be monstrous! But this is just some navy girl. This shouldn't take long-!"
Christie's eyes had long gone stopped glowing yellow and had glew a light blue, to show that her Devil Fruit Awakening was more prominent than her Justice.
She was skipping in place with glee.
"You know, there's a reason I specifically wanted to be a marine. Sure, my best friend was in it, but I could've just as easily become a pirate." Christie said while speaking a tone to him that felt dishonestly friendly, like banter.
He was always up for that.
"And why is that? Seems to me that you would've made it quite far." He said getting into a pose.
Christie got into one as well, she gave him serious eyes while keeping a relaxed grin.
"So that I can live out my dream of Queen of the World, without haven't to feel bad that I got there!" Christie said as she sprang her legs at sound speed and kicked off at a faster speed.
In his hybrid form, he was able to keep up with her. Both of them were casually fighting at over sound speed.
She condensed her first into her arm using a spring and shot it out with immediate reacting elastic force. The blow caused a deafening meaty pound of sound that slammed into his giant palm.
She gripped her hand and tossed her over his shoulder, assuming she would slam into a tree.
But instead, he watched as the tree turned into spring and she used that momentum to bounce back.
Hydra flinched.
"What did I tell you, moron?! I can turn ANYTHING into a spring!" Christie said as she charged up a right hook using the same spring punch technique.
The hit connects and she immediately redirected the punch, once landed, to the ground so that he bounced off the floor at mach.
It chipped his tooth and made him spurt blood from his mouth.
He bounced and looked up to see that she was gone, a ring of smoke where she used to be.
Then suddenly, behind him.
"SPRING SPRING CHARIOT!"
She used two spring punches to deliver a hearty shove to his back. Causing him to be sent tumbling through the forest quite a couple of meters.
She turned her legs into springs and bounced off the dirt to try and get to him.
"Alright...THAT'S ENOUGH!" Hydra said as he caught her, seemingly effortlessly by the mouth. Gripping her left and right cheek with his enormous left hand.
She tried to pry herself off of his grip. But it was then that she knew, that he was stronger than her.
He wiped the blood from his mouth.
"Grillby sent you...didn't he?"
Christie can only muffle into his hand.
"That's what I assumed. I would kill you, but that would bring up a bunch of Government issues and I don't want a buster call here too soon. So, I'll spare you, now you run along and tell your little fireman that he doesn't have to worry about what I'm doing here."
He let go of his grip on her. She landed but was immediately taken aback by the suddenness of the situation. She reverted to her base form.
"Pssh, and what happens if I still choose to attack you?" Christie said defiantly.
He smirked. Still deciding to stay in his hybrid form.
"Then you'd be able to get on the path to becoming the Queen of the World! Now tell me, which is more important to you? Your entitlement to the Navy, or your dreams. Choose wisely."
Christie thought about it.
There was only really one answer. So she sucked her teeth...
And turned around...
Meanwhile, With Undyne and Muffet...
"Hey! Dumbass! Wake up!" Undyne said, slapping Muffet awake.
Muffet awoke from her comatose being greeted with an unfamiliar room, but a familiar face. Besides Undyne, she saw a giant man in a blue suit behind her.
She got to thinking, and she vaguely remembered him. He was on StarDrop island.
Then it clicked.
She pointed at him.
"IT'S YOU, CORBAN!"
The man angrily replied.
"IT'S COBALT!"
Undyne sighed and hugged her captain.
Muffet hugged back and they just stood there hugging each other for an elongated amount of time.
Muffet eventually pulled back to see Undyne's open socket and bandaged up her leg and arms. She just kept staring into the socket. She sensed every negative emotion gushing from that socket.
"What happened...?" Muffet said with genuine concern.
Undyne looked down and started rubbing her left arm shyly.
Cobalt pulled up a seat for the both of them.
Muffet was still confused about this room they were in. It was all purple and black, it seemed to have no end but were defined corners and edges. Like an illusion.
She really tried to get a sense of where she was. The room felt like she was in a different dimension.
Also, she spotted that there was household furniture scattered through this seemingly limited but spacious room. Like someone lives here.
She sat down.
Cobalt was the first to speak.
"Ms. Undying told me everything about the events that happened at StarDrop. And I've come to terms with the fate of my friends. I live on in their name and hope to make amends with what I've been a part of for so long. I also aim to help Ms. Undying for giving me this chance at a new life."
Undyne only nodded her head quietly.
"Uh, okay! But where's Hera?! Ralsei?! Susie?!" Muffet said with vigor and aggression.
Undyne gulped.
"Ralsei...last time I saw her, both her legs were blown off by some chick with multiple guns. Susie was holding her off but, that gun chick caught me off guard...and Hera...is presumed dead-"
At the speed of sound, releasing onto her left cheek was a thunderous and very vicious right hook using all three of Muffet's right hands.
She bounced off the floor and onto the elliptical wall. As soon as her back laid flat against the wall, Muffet was there and held her up by her bloodied tank top and pinned her there.
Undyne was never struck by her Captain out of hatred. For once, she was legitimately scared of her Captain.
"I GAVE YOU ONE FUCKING JOB! HOW DO YOU EASILY SAY THAT HERA IS DEAD AND RALSEI AT THE MERCIFUL WHIM OF THE ENEMY!"
Muffet then shoulder tosses Undyne over her shoulder and onto the ground of weird this room.
Undyne didn't fight back.
"U-uh ladies- I-" Murmured Cobalt as Muffet got on top of Undyne's core and sat on it while using her left arms to grip her tank top while her right arms struck her yet again out of sheer anger.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU PROTECT THEM?! HERA WAS ONLY A CHILD-! AND RALSEI AND FUHU- OUR FAMILY!" Muffet struck her again. Undyne didn't fight back, she only cried.
Undyne bit her already bleeding bottom lip and covered her eyes with her left arm as she started to cry. She couldn't look her Captain in her eyes. This made Muffet tear up too.
Her blows were lessened in ferocity.
"I-I'm sorry! It's my fault-" muttered Undyne before Muffet interrupted her.
"WILL SORRY FIX THIS?! NO! WE LOST 3 CREWMATES AND MAYBE SUSIE BECAUSE OF SOMETHING MY RIGHT-HAND COULDN'T HANDLE?!" Her punches were lessened as when she was about to strike, flashes of Undyne when they first met started to blink into her mind.
The thought of Undyne crying beneath her, wanting death by the person she trusted the most.
She knew the same emotion was being displayed here.
She got off her. And paced back to the wall and covered her head over her hat. And she remained there. Quietly.
Undyne, still was in that position, only softly murmuring how sorry she was through heavy sobs and an unclear throat.
Cobalt watched all this transpire and cleared his throat.
"Well, I can at least confirm the fate of one of your friends...my Devil Fruit, the Portal Portal No Mi, allows me to create portals to places I have seen before. I've walked a very specific but generic path along Constricta. I can say, that from observation, I can bring one of your other crewmates in here."
Undyne was still in her position while Muffet flicked open her hat.
"Who."
Cobalt gulped.
"The dinosaur lady, she seems to be acquainted by some people, and a Princess!"
"Really?! Bring her in!" Muffet said eagerly as Cobalt made a portal with his hand and effortlessly pulled out Susie and a woman with a similar-looking hat to Muffet's.
Susie came out of the portal, with a cowgirl, and two navy marines. One was heavily injured, the other was in good condition but looked exhausted from battle. So did the cowgirl.
Undyne uncovered her eyes and glared daggers at the cowgirl.
This cowgirl was indeed.
Cassidy.
Susie after accessing her new surrounding, first seeing Muffet, and a patched-up Undyne. Looked at the man in front of her.
"CLOSE THE PORTAL!" As one of Hydra's arms poked through the portal.
Undyne flinched and kicked back.
"What is that?!"
Cobalt quickly tore down the portal, severing the arm from Hydra. Cassidy immediately disintegrated it with a magma blast. Making sure it couldn't regenerate into anything.
As soon as that problem was accessed. Susie started to glow yellow. She used her Gravity Gravity no Mi Devil Fruit and only applied it on the cowgirl and both the Navy workers.
Susie smirked.
"You are now on trial."
Cassidy, Christie, and Ronaldo couldn't move.
Undyne yelled.
"CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING?! WHO ARE YOU, PEOPLE?! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!"
Muffet simply raised her hand, and Undyne was quiet. Everyone else was bickering amongst themselves.
Muffet sighed, and then widened her eyes out of frustration.
This caused a wave of Conqueror's Haki to be activated. Everyone in the room felt it but was able to stay planted.
However, to everyone's surprise, Christie looked back at her and did the same thing. Both were thick levels of Haki conflicting.
This continued for a while until they stopped. Muffet then spoke up now that everyone was quiet.
"Now, I'm not that smart, nor do I necessarily consider myself good at taking notes. However, I'm willing to try, to make sure I have a good sense as to what the hell has happened so far. So, let's introduce ourselves first."
Cassidy tried to free herself from Susie's gravity pressure attack but to no avail. She was still on the wall with Christie and Ronaldo. She glared at Muffet.
"Why the hell should we do that-!" Said Cassidy as Muffet gut-punched her while on the wall.
"Sorry, dearie~ I'm afraid I'm having a bad day today. So don't."
Cassidy coughed up her saliva fluids and complied.
"Now...I'm Muffet D. Baker," she said both annoyed and politely, "and I came here under the assumption that I was elected new Warlord and sailed here to have the official meeting. That's why I'm here. As to more specifically who I am, I'm a Pirate, a girl from the Spider Tribe. I am a Devil Fruit user like literally everyone else here, and my reason for being is to become Queen of the Pirates."
She inhaled deeply through her nose and rubbed the middle of her two sets of eyes using her top left and right hands.
"And as to what happened to me that has led me to now, I had a run-in with this eel man, after slowly losing sight of all my crewmates and fighting him. He sent me flying into a portal that was actually made by Cobalt- say "hi" Cobalt."
Cobalt anxiously waved. Susie too anxiously waved back. The other three didn't have the option to.
"And now I'm here with my first mate, Undyne, and my archeologist Susie. Our musician and doctor and pet are of unknown whereabouts." Muffet finally finished.
The room was quiet but somehow it eased up the tension more.
Christie and Ronaldo looked at Undyne.
Cassidy kept looking down. The more Muffet spoke about the crew, the more the gravity increased on her.
"Wait? You're Morial's daughter?" Both Christie and Ronaldo said in unison.
Undyne only nodded, they grimaced at the open eye socket.
"Before we get through any formalities, let's start with the rest of my crew...Undyne?"
Undyne nodded again. She knew she had to keep her shit together if she didn't want to see her Captain disappointed again.
"I'm Undyne Marie Undying, and my story lines up with my Captain, same goes for Susie. But I became a pirate unlike my mom because the World Government decided to be the ones to kill her," She said looking at the two Navy officers present in the room. She knew damn well why they were more interested in her and felt she gave them a good enough answer. An answer that, puzzled them as they looked at her with wide eyes. They weren't expecting to hear that answer, but seeing as how Undyne was and how the case about her mother was, they knew she was telling the truth. They didn't know the story, because the true story was kept a secret to those that weren't present. They included. This made them think for a while.
"As for the rest of my story here, I was with Hera on the ship, fending off against people trying to attack the ship...we fought them off but got caught off guard by..."
Susie and Undyne looked at Cassidy.
Muffet looked at her crewmates and pieced two and two together.
Muffet's eyes widened as the gravity of the room took on a feeling that was stranger to everyone but Undyne and Susie.
The same bloodlust she had when Hera was being witch-hunted on the beach.
Cobalt also felt this feeling before, but not from Muffet specifically. He had a good enough sense to figure out what happens next.
"Ms. Baker, I don't wish for us to fight here. This room is a dimension that is only held by the stableness and focus of my well-being. If there were to be a fight, we would all be vacuumed out of this room and into the belly of the beast."
Muffet tried her best to listen, but she had all her fist clench, bitter her lower lip so hard blood dripped down her chin, and her eyes were only fixated on Cassidy.
"You," Muffet said which gave everyone but Undyne, Susie, and Cobalt a chill.
Cassidy knew this portion of the conversation was coming. She wasn't sorry, but she wasn't going to die in this room to a spider either.
"Listen! Your friends are alive!" Cassidy said desperately.
Muffet flicked her head at Susie who was calmly just pinned those three against the wall using her gravity fruit. She had neither a smile nor a frown, but just a neutral face of displeasement. Her eyes fixated on Cassidy but then looked at Muffet and met her bloodshot purple eyes.
"I can't confirm nor deny her statement, but from what I've seen, there isn't any evidence that proves she didn't kill them. Ask Undyne."
Muffet didn't hesitate to meet Undyne's eye once more.
Cobalt tried his best not to anger her further by not speaking. He knew better than to mess with her crew. Cassidy too, more so she was scared of Susie.
Christie and Ronaldo, we're still looking down at the ground trying to process the truth of what happened at The Battle of Mt. Ebott.
Undyne almost flinched when Muffet looked at her. If she had told her at that point that she was not a part of her crew anymore, she would accept it without question and leave. Good thing she didn't.
"Ralsei, seeing the state she was in and knowing her capabilities. I believe she is okay. Hera too, she is strong after all, a bullet simply won't kill her."
Muffet gritted her teeth.
"You think?! Or you know?!"
Now, Undyne flinched. She stuttered in her words and even trembled a bit at her Captain's words.
There was silence. She didn't answer.
Muffet's eyes slowly got cloudy while she breathed more and more heavily.
Then someone spoke to her and gave her an answer.
Not Undyne, not Susie, not Cobalt, and not Cassidy, but Christie.
"I don't know about this "Hera" girl. But your goat friend, well, used to be goat friend is still alive."
Muffet's eyes widened but this time she did it in disbelief. She wanted to believe it, but how can she trust someone from the Navy?
"What do you mean 'used to be'?" She said trying to piece together the little information.
"I'll tell you more if your friend frees all of us," Christie said trying to pry herself from the increased gravity.
Susie looked at her captain, to which the captain looked back at her and reluctantly nodded.
They were released.
Ronaldo sank to the floor and started to take deep breaths.
Christie dusted off her damaged body and clothes. This made Muffet acknowledge herself and realize that she probably wasn't healthily the best too. That last attack she endured was of another caliber.
Christie fascinated Muffet, she was standing despite being heavily battle-scarred. On top of that, she also seemed to have Conquerors Haki at her disposal. Something only natural-born leaders should have. Because of this realization. She approached her acquaintance a little more friendly.
Christie, surprisingly, felt exactly the same way.
Undyne and Susie kept a watchful eye on Cassidy while Cobalt went over to go console, Ronaldo.
"So dearie~, what happened to Ralsei? Muffet said looking up to her because of the height difference. It was only by two inches.
"Well it turns out, either you're neglectful, she's neglectful, or she has been secretive. But, she is a goat Mink, not a goat person."
"WHAT?!" All three Soul Pirate members yelled.
"Yep, the last I saw her she was in her Sulong form wreaking havoc through the forest. She's safe, but I'm not sure for how long. And also, your friend has a special Sulong form requirement."
Cobalt scratched his head.
"What's a Mink?"
Christie turned to him.
"A Mink is a human-animal hybrid. However, under a full moon, they turn into what's called their "Sulong Forms" that grant them supernatural feats as they go on rampages. However, for your friend Ralsei, hers activates whenever she is exposed to Sunlight."
Muffet thought about it and it made sense. On every island, the major battle was either indoors or took place at night. For Stardrop, Marshall's tendrils were blocking out the sun. It also makes sense why she always wore a hat, so she wouldn't transform and hurt them.
Why did she feel the need to hide it?
Christie took out her hand.
"Name's Christie Callegard, I'm a Navy Vice-Admiral, and I'm gonna be the Queen of The World!"
Oddly enough, despite everything that has just been said before, everyone in the room smiled at that. More so Ronaldo, Undyne, and Susie.
Muffet shook her hand.
"And I'M gonna be The Queen of the Pirates!"
They shook on it and somehow, it lightened the mood a bit. Christie continued.
"We were ordered to come here by the order of our higher-ups to stop both parties, but I see now that Hydra is more important than you guys currently."
Muffet grinned.
"Oh? Are you saying we aren't strong enough? You wanna see how strong we really are?"
Christie smiled.
"We'll see who's stronger after we take care of the big guy first. I'd love to see the future Pirate Queen's strength."
There was another wave of silence.
Christie ruffled her hair and repositioned it.
"Well, I'm a Devil Fruit user, the user of the Spring Spring no Mi! Which allows me to turn anything, even my body into springs. My story for when I got here, as we were staking out the business deal since before you guys got here. We got to see a lot happen, one of those being the assault on your goat friend, but most importantly, the fight between Cassidy and Susie, where we chose to intervene and try and take out two parties with one attack. However, we hatched out a deal once we saw Hydra fighting you. Susie and I went to go apprehend Hydra and try and help you while my friend Ronaldo stood back with Cassidy. When we came there, it was too late and I wanted to see if I could try and beat him. I was wrong. Susie went back and altered the others and sent out a dispatch team, as I tried to fight him once more. And then a portal was made and now I'm here."
The pieces of information were slowly getting pieced together like puzzle pieces in everyone's mind. The tension eased as everything became less hostile and more collaborative in trying to fit the missing pieces of narrative into others' minds.
Ronaldo stood up.
"Hello, I'm Ronaldo. I am the same rank and partners with Christie, we go way back. I have the Drain Drain No Mi, a Gencios Fruit. It allows me to drain the energy of everyone around me and use it as my own. My story pretty much lines up with Christie's, I have no more creative input."
Everyone nodded. Then everyone slowly looked to Cassidy who was already being watched and pressed by Undyne and Susie. Two monstrous capable and looking women. She gulped.
"What happens if I don't tell you assholes?"
She was immediately greeted by everyone in the room cracking their knuckles. Their eyes gleamed with hatred.
She was humbled.
"Ugh, fine! I work for Hydra, under the codename 'Artemis'. I'm a gunslinger and a sniper, these firearms were from...someone I used to care about. Look, I don't like the guy, I was only promised something after this ordeal, and let's say it's something really important to me. And I'm willing to risk all that I have to make sure that I get it my way!"
Everyone looked at her with bewilderment. She wasn't threatening them perse, but she wasn't being nice either. Muffet walked up to her.
Slowly.
She placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You. Are my friends, alive?" Muffet said with a cold tone and chilling vibe.
Cassidy felt the presence of someone who was looking for something to punch.
She had nothing left to lie about since she practically knew her deal with Hydra was slowly becoming more like a dream than anything that'll come to fruition. But she didn't want to be with these people either.
"Look, that girl you have, 'Hera', is alive. Not because I held back, but because there is some folk tale and legend on Constricta that suggest that no matter what we do, she'll be a pain in Hydra's ass."
Muffet let go of her and gave her a perplexed eye.
Everyone did.
"It is said that Hera, would be the one to unite the beasts and the humans together and to bring down the heavens and merge both Olympus and Earth. She would have to go on a quest with a wild beast at her aid and will go on a series of quests. It's was once a prophecy that was made into a children's book, but now that seems less like fiction. And hey, if I'm being real, I didn't kill anyone this far...besides the navy men that tried to sneak on this island earlier."
Susie and Muffet recalled when they arrived on the shore and there were skeletons and everyone was charred. It was because of her.
About what she had to say about Hera, they were honestly relieved knowing that their friends were somewhat okay. The tension eased by a good portion.
Cassidy sighed.
"Look, my name is Cassidy, I'm a logia user, a magma one. And seeing as how I'm pretty much screwed no matter what I do, I'll let you guys know this. Why Hydra is like this and what he is planning on doing. But first, what about you big man?" She said looking at Cobalt.
"Oh, well funny thing, I only brought you along because I thought you were a princess but...I guess I judged wrong."
Everyone gave him a brow.
Except for Ronaldo, he gave Cassidy a quick glance and began to think hard before snapping back to reality.
"Uhh, no. Listen, I don't know what any of our next moves are. Once we leave we are dead, we don't want to work with each other, and I honestly would rather die and go through any of the options prior, so if we want to get shit done, listen to me."
Susie chuckled.
"Okay tyke, tell us."
"I'm not a tyke!"
"You're the youngest one here, dumbass."
Cassidy wanted to say something to her but knew she would get destroyed by her.
"Okay look to start things remember, I'm only relaying this information because I feel like our next choice of path is dependent on where he comes from. Also, as weird as this might sound, I was his most trusted operative, but we both did some shady decisions when each other were not looking, but he trusted me enough to be his right hand and officer above the others. I know his motives, his reasonings, and when they might be acted out. So just remember when I start, that all Hydra Gordons wants..."
Everyone slowly gathered around her. They really didn't want her to be leading, but she had the most info. Also, they realized how different but alike each party was. In this specific situation, they were no different than each other.
They leaned in to hear what the evil man, the "Shadow King" of Constricta, the monster, the rouge Warlord wanted from the King and the residents of this Continent.
"All Hydra Gordons wants is...Equality!"
