Wealth, Fame, and Power! W. D. Gaster, The King of The Pirates, had all those and the rest of what the world had to offer! Through many battles and trials, he had reached the pinnacle of the world's virtues and had nothing left but an illness that plagued him.

He brought himself in and was held at a worldwide public execution. Before he was executed, a man from the crowd asked:

"Where did you hide all your treasure?!"

To which the King of Pirates smiled and said:

"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left the most important treasure in the world on an island! Go and find it! 'For the next pirate that finds the UnderPiece, will be claimed the new King of The Pirates!"

Those were his final words before he was executed. He smiled to his death.

With those words, the world was flipped upside down as he created The Golden Pirate Era! People and already existing pirates from around the works started to sail the seas in search of the treasure that W. D. Gaster claimed to be-

The UnderPiece!

It had been Twenty Years since, and people have yet to find the treasure he was talking about. Except for one girl, who is now going to change the world by storm for the sake of her people.

This is the story of Muffet D. Baker and her way to becoming Queen of the Pirates!

There was a knock at the window. The sound of pebbles being thrown, the soft but piercing crackling was the only thing able to be picked up by ear.

A little girl wakes up in her bed at 3:32 in the morning due to the noise. This girl is no older than 13. She hears the crackling of pebbles against her window and goes to check it out.

She was a decently tall girl for her age so she only had to get on her toes to grab the grey hatches of her baize-colored window frame and open them.

This girl was unique. Her hair was white. And so was her skin, a pure and clean white, like paper. Her eyes were round and buldgent with no pupils. They were blue eyes, light blue. She had mechanical configurations on her arms, and waist down. Seeming to have tanks of water in her thighs, calves, shoulder, and forearms. These tanks were bolted down into her body around where her ball joints were.

Her hands were round but clawed at the same time. Like a smooth plastic, but, it seemed to be more than that. Something entirely new. Something about her being was, aesthetic.

Her forearms and elbows were connected via an accordion-like pump that seemed to be a compressor of water. That was prominent in both her arms and most importantly, her main feature, her scorpion tail. The base length of the tail was primarily that same compressor. Her stinger was made up of the same material as her short but sharp mandibles that poked out the side of her head in different directional curves.

When she looked outside, she got to see the cool night sky and the nice late autumn breeze. It was raining the evening before so all she could smell outside was her favorite scent.

Petrichor.

What she didn't expect to see, was that the cause of the sound on the window, was the result of this spider girl, digging in the yard outside her house. Causing chunks of gravel and pebbles to hit her window from the intensity of her digging.

"Uh, hello?" The girl said.

The spider girl turned around. She had a black tank top and purple swimming trunks. That was it.

She was muddy and rough up and looked at her with a confused looked. The little girl can feel that this spider girl had been tired and sweaty. She must've been working on this hole for quite some time.

"What are you doing?" The little girl persisted.

The spider girl wiped the sweat off her forehead.

"Oh dearie~ sorry about this, I've done this to almost every house in this village." She said with a tone of reassurance although all that did was raise more concern.

"Oh! Well uh, why?"

"Why?"

"Yeah, I mean, why are you...digging holes?" The little girl said.

The spider girl gave a tired laugh. A very tired laugh.

"Well, to also be fair, I've been digging holes for the past couple of days now, starting from the forest down south over there." She pointed in the direction of the forest.

"Oh my God, why?" She said with concern.

"Because...my brothers left me, alone, and now the most I can do is try and dig for treasure and hope it exists so that I can pay for my own ship and sail after them." The spider girl said slowly turning around to continue her digging.

That answer intrigued her. She leaned against the windowsill.

"Why go through the trouble? It hasn't worked the past times, so why even try and go for it the thousandth time?" The girl said bluntly.

The spider girl stopped digging. She then took a deep breath and sighed.

"Miracles reward those who try. That's what a guy really important to me once said. It doesn't matter if anything seems hopeless, I'm willing to put in the work, that's why I'll be Queen of the Pirates!" Said the spider girl.

The little girl looked at her and laughed.

"You? King is the Pirates? I can't imagine it."

The spider girl turned around with balled fist.

"Why?! Is it because im a girl? A spider? A kid?"

"Nope. It's because you're stupid!" The little girl said sticking out her tongue.

For some reason, that made the spider girl lose all malice and just laugh to herself. She sat down, legs crossed, and looked up at her.

"Hey! What's your name? You seem too cool to have been here all this time." The spider girl said.

The little girl peered over the edge of the windowsill and giggled.

"Petrichor! You?"

"Why dearie~ That's a beautiful name! Name's Muffet!" Muffet said with a wide grinned smile.

"Thank you, it's honestly good to see another arachnid around these parts. I can tell by your face that you'd really like to become really huge in the pirate category."

Muffet just nodded her head aggressively.

"Lulululu~ You're hopeless! Look at you, you're scrawny, barely have money, doesn't have a crew, and I bet you don't even have the slightest clue as to where the other islands even are."

"Oi! So?!" Muffet said angrily.

"Well, I guess I'll lend you my help you hopeless lug. Lulululu~" Petrichor said teasing her.

However, she saw that Muffet's face was filled with wonder.

"As my...first mate?"

Petrichor started to sweat profusely. She didn't know what to say.

So instead, she slammed the window essentially in her face. She turned around and slid her back down her wall and covered her face.

She screamed in it.

She planned to just call her dumb for causing a hole in her lawn. But ever since she told her why she was digging and what drives her, she was filled with something.

She couldn't quite put her finger on it. It wasn't pity, nor a positive emotion towards her.

She was filled with...

.

It was the morning after. Petrichor had gotten out of bed and was immediately greeted by her butler telling her that her father was waiting for her downstairs to talk.

Petrichor was indeed, from a rich family, her dad worked a job that earned him quite the lot. Although she never really knew what exactly he did, he kept hiding that from her.

For as long as she could remember.

When she got downstairs, get father was waiting for her. He was, a regular human. A man with unkempt and unruly brown hair due to stress. He dawned a black lab coat with a certain emblem embroidered on his shoulders that she also didn't know what that meant.

Underneath he wore a white shirt and white khakis with black ballroom shoes. Although he always looked stressed, you can tell that he loved what he was doing.

His legs were crossed on the table with the energy of 'my house my rules' when they locked eyes.

He immediately put his legs down.

"Hey sweetie, did you sleep well?" He said with a soft tone.

"Yeah, like always, sir."

Visible annoyance and concern were displayed on his face.

"You can call me dad, there's no need to call me sir...anymore."

"Yeah, sure. Anyways...there was this spider girl outside the house last night. Did the guards get her?" Petrichor said still staying at the bottom of the staircase while talking to him.

He raised a brow.

"Yeah, that's actually what I wanted to talk to you about." He said as he stood up and walked towards the windows.

She followed him, the smell of petrichor wafting through the room as she did. It comforted him.

He opened the curtains, when he did, she covered her mouth with one of her light blue hands.

On the yard, the guards that her father hired for the house, eight burly and capable men, were sprawled out on the yard groveling in pain. Unable to move for a while.

"Apparently my men couldn't handle the power of a little girl...sound familiar?" Her dad said giving a slight secretive eye to Petrichor in his last statement.

"Yes sir."

"Dad."

"Yes, dad."

"So, here's a proposition. The Spider Clan was extinct quite some time ago, but, here there is, a remaining survivor with some supernatural abilities present. The only explanation is to find the scientific genius responsible for constructing a life-like being." Her dad said with piqued interest.

"What if she isn't a machine, sir?"

"Dad! And, she has to be. Her being here at all is anomalous on its own. There should be no way a Spider Clan member should make it this far across the world...she has to be artificial. Which is why I shall go out and search for this girl myself, and well, you can have yourself a permanent playdate."

Petrichor looked at her metal limb enhancers and solemnly glided her fingers across them. Wishing that she didn't have to be here.

.

Muffet went back to her little home in the forest.

She was accepted into the town a while ago, but she chose to live in the rainforest still. Only going into town if she really had to. Not that she didn't love the people, she loved the people, but she just was used to the wildness of the forest.

She ended up reconstructing the treehouse home that she and her two brothers built once. This time, with better intentions and planning involved.

She was muddy but happy with her haul. Muffet puffed her chest and gave a tired exhale as she began to stare at the gold pieces she found on the ground.

Her eyes loved to see the treasure, money more specifically. So much so, that she adopted the talent of glancing at any sum of money and immediately being able to know the amount there. No matter the quantity of distance.

"Today was a good day! I'm almost there to my quota! One or two more days of this and I think I'll be able to afford that ship!"

Just then, she heard the sound of the unusual crunching of twigs and leaves outside. Muffet knew that it wasn't the sound of any wild animal, but no human was ever ballsy enough to go to the rainforest.

Except-

Muffet peered her head out of the bottom latch of the treehouse to see her purple-eyed idol.

"FRISK!" She said before she focused her eyes.

It wasn't him. It was indeed the man with the same black lab coat and white shirt and khakis.

"Oh well, I'm flattered you would compare me to that ruffian. Was he the one that made you by any chance? I know the Emporers are partaking in making androids now for whatever reason." Petrichor's father said while having his hands comfortably behind his back.

Muffet was not pleased with the face she saw. She had wanted that person to be Frisk.

"Listen, bozo, I was not 'made'. I've been living here since I was a baby."

"Oh? So your master has either abandoned you or died...don't worry, I'll adopt you into my household. That's the least you owe me for roughing up my men."

Muffet smirked.

"Listen, man, I'm not interested in being taken in. And if you mean by last night, you need to hire better protection. You could've gotten killed if I was any other kind of killer person out here."

When she finished saying that, the man laughed a very cocky laugh.

"What's so funny?"

"Silly girl, I have guards not for them to protect me from you."

When he finished saying that, he vanished. She widened her eyes and blinked hard. She was confused.

Just then, a shadow was being cast on her.

"They were protecting you from me." He said as he gave her a flying right hook from behind and down towards the floor.

However, because of Muffet's abilities, her head stretched down the direction he hit her too. She twisted her head, and by extension, her neck, to look at him and his shocked but amused face.

"You idiot! I'm a rubber person! Gum Gum Spider Screw!" Muffet said as she shot her head using elastic force while stunning to create a drilling effect with her impact.

However, the attack seemed to miss. The man stood there, shook.

He turned around to where she directed her attack at. The entire roof was blasted off the well-boarded reaches of the walls.

"If that attack were to have hit me, even when I let my guard down just now, it would've killed me." The man thought.

She retracted her neck and was immediately face to face in the man who was just bent on, staring at her with eyes that seemed to be examining her in wonder.

"A creation that is a Devil Fruit! Marvelous! I'll take you in right away!" He said standing straight.

"Says who?!"

The man then reached his hand out to her, and when he did, a glowing outline seemed to be apparent around her. When he gripped it, he tried to pull it out of her.

But it didn't work.

"Wow! You aren't scared of me, aren't you? Not even a little..is that because you think you can actually send me flying?"

"I don't know what you mean, but yes, I will send you flying," Muffet said jumping out her treehouse from the roof of the building.

She had been training in combat in short tangents with her brothers, however, she quickly lost the motivation after they left her.

She was rusty, she knew that. What didn't was the fact that the man wasn't giving any clear vibes or intentions? He was seemingly ominous.

Just then, he jumped out treehouse with her at a faster speed than she did.

This man was strong.

"I'll make you fear me, construct!"

Muffet growled.

"I'm NOT A ROBOT-!" she said as the man delivered the same punch as before.

However, this time, since they were in the air, she hit the ground. Both impacts made a total of zero damage, however, she couldn't control where she'd bounce after the impact she made on the floor.

She seemed to bounce towards the sea that was next to the treehouse. The same body of water where the first incident took place.

Her eyes widened in fear as she saw that. Memories flashed through her head, none of them pleasant.

She was, scared. Physically paralyzed in fear.

The man grinned.

"Gotcha!"

Before Muffet can fall into the water, he grabbed her by her shirt over the edge of the coast.

Her outline appeared again, and then he gripped it. He then tore out of her, what seemed to be, her soul.

Her soul was petrified. He then took it out of her and placed it into the under part of his lab coat. Because of so, her physical body seemed to pass out. Being devoid of life.

He smirked and picked her up and propped her over his shoulder.

"So, she isn't afraid of me, or fighting, but she is afraid of water...That'll delve into more research on my end."

.
.

Muffet woke up. She seemed to be in a pure white cell. The floor was made out of a hard material unbeknownst to Muffet. However, one thing was clear.

She couldn't use her Devil Fruit.

There was a glass panel on one of the walls where there seemed to be a silhouette of a man.

The intercom speakers in the corners of the room turned on.

"Subject: 1-14-1-19-9 has awoken. Test...one. The subject has been reinforced in a 15 meter by 15 meters by 15 meters airtight Sea Prism cube. The subject will begin the test once Subject: Integ has made contact."

Muffet was confused as to what these words meant. She didn't know where on the island she was in or if anyone knew where this was. Her Devil Fruit was not working, and most of all, she was rusty.

Once she heard what the man on the intercom had to say, a door slide open to her left.

A little girl eagerly walked through the slide-open door.

Muffet squinted her eyes, she was trying to make out who this little girl was. And then she did.

It was Petrichor.

"Subject Integ, enact the experimentation procedure." The intercom blared again.

Muffet looked down and she was in white clothes. Her previous clothes seemed to be stripped from her long ago.

She hated this.

Petrichor approached her with her hands behind her back.

"You are that girl from last night...is this your home dearie~?" Muffet asked politely.

Without hesitation, Petrichor sicked on her, her scorpion tail compressing in on itself using the hydraulics in her body. Like a spring, her tail continues to get tighter and smaller, building up in potential energy.

Muffet jumped her feet, she was still able to launch herself quite a good amount in the air without her Devil Fruit.

The man took note of that.

The instant she jumped, Petrichor released the potential energy in her tail and stung the ground. Created a giant crater with ever-increasing cracks in formation on the ground.

She retracted her tail and gave Muffet a confident smirk.

"Yeah. What about it?"

Muffet was so out of the loop. Her 11-year-old brain couldn't comprehend this mess.

"Subject seems to have incredible base strength when not using Devil Fruit...seems that her lineage is genuine after all. Future analysis is required." The man on the intercom said.

Petrichor gave her a sly eye.

"You know...these walls are soundproof. Man can hear a word besides his own." She said uncharacteristically in battle.

"What do you mean? Why are you telling me this?"

"Because stupid, this man only wants combat results, but I have no intention of killing you. So just lie down and pretend I knocked you unconscious so this test run can be over."

Muffet tried to piece together the situation she was in, and with the help of Petrichor, she finally did.

She was being tested because of the race most likely. The man was most likely a scientist that wanted DNA samples and data.

However, Muffet smiled back.

She got into a stance.

"Oh dearie trust me~ let me ask you a question instead..."

Petrichor raised a brow.

"Do you want to have a bad time?" Muffet said with a soft death glare.

Suddenly the room filled the room with intense bloodlust and deathly energy. Her fangs peer out from her upper lip, ready to snap. Her eyes were intense but her face seemed to relax. Her hair slowly jostling and raising due to her newly rising bloodlusted energy.

Petrichor felt this and almost gave away at her knees. She could barely stand.

This would be the first time Muffet unknowingly activated her Conquerors Haki.

Muffet was only this intense because she finally got a fair fight. After all, she had been through within the past year, she needed something to punch.

This was the perfect excuse.

Petrichor cycled through her rain-collected tanks that were visibly stored within her arms, forearms, calves, and thighs. She jumped in place, switching placements in her feet, getting into different boxing positions.

What Muffet didn't know was that...

She was looking for a reason too.

Scorpian vs Spider.

"I'll be having a fun time spider girl. I tried to do things the least painful way. But it seems you want to end up like all the other children of the orphanage."

Muffet's bloodlust seemed to waiver for a second when she heard her say that. What did she mean by that last part?

Regardless, Muffet ran at her at a slightly above human speed. Her six fist clenched, she went for a diving punch using six.

Petrichor dodged all of them by quickly using her hydraulics to give energy to a piston on her left ankle to make her have enough force for a quick backstep. With her right ankle, she did the same thing, but to dash back to her with enough force to immediately get face to face with her.

Petrichor angled her body and gave a ferocious spartan kick to Muffet's stomach. However, the foot stood there without pushing her back.

Muffet looked at her with hungry eyes.

"I'm not just some random girl from the streets!" Muffet said grabbing Petrichor's leg and shoving her away from her. Petrichor was indeed heavier than she imagined.

Way heavier. She barely even pushed her.

"I'm Muffet D. Baker!" She said as she jumped at her enemy.

She clenched her fist and balled it. She was going for the same attack. So, Petrichor tried to attempt the same backstep, unbeknownst to the web she had on her right leg.

Muffet yanked her towards herself mid lunge. Making it so that she was on top of her in a scary position. Face-to-face fangs bared.

Then, she tried to take a bite out of her neck.

Petrichor instinctively used her tail quickly to swipe away Muffet. The blunt side of the tail came with enough weight and force to slam Muffet off her.

Muffet rolled off her a couple of yards before standing up again instantly.

Petrichor got up and got into another stance.

The man turned on the intercom and clapped.

"Beautiful work girls! I'm proud of both of you! Show father what talents you possess!" That was all he was able to say before they continued their fight.

They were both still in good shape.

.
.

It was four hours now. Their fight had been going nowhere. No clear winner.

They were both pretty beat up, but they couldn't finish each other off. Each punch did very little, the both of them couldn't tell whether it was because they were weak, or equally too strong for each other.

The man kept taking notes the entire time, his research was being fueled by their fight.

Their fist crashed and both of them got sent back a couple of yards in the opposite direction.

They were hyperventilating.

"You...*pant* aren't that bad...*pant* spider girl..." Petrichor said wiping both tired drool and her light blue blood off the bottom of her lip.

Muffet was doing the same while relocating her top right shoulder joint into the right position.

"You... *pant* are not that bad yourself dearie~ *pant*."

Both of them had lost their bloodlust. For a while, they had just been fighting out of sheer awe of each other's capabilities.

Petrichor had never seen anyone from the spider clan before. She was told they were extinct.

And Muffet hasn't seen a cyborg before, more or less a Scorpian person who uses water to fight.

The whole room smelled like petrichor. Damp and sullen rain.

They had also admired each other's strength, Muffet had loved her technique and discipline that she had. Although there were much bigger picture things happening currently, the only thing she cared about in this whole thing was her.

Petrichor had grown somewhat of respect towards Muffet within the past four hours. The events of the night prior when she had first met her seem like an entirely different person.

This spider girl was actually capable of doing things much greater. The scarier part was, she didn't have a Devil Fruit. This was Sea Prism Stone, which meant that it negated any Devil Fruit power. This entire fight was based on the premise that she didn't have one to fight her with.

According to her 'dad', she did indeed have one. But she wasn't sure what it was, her father didn't elaborate any further.

They were both fighting each other blindly. However, they liked what they had shown each other.

Muffet looked at her and smiled a sweet smile. She laid her arms to her side, and then fell straight on her back, unconscious.

Petrichor looked confused, she raised her brow and watched as this girl that was once filled with energy, lose it all.

Did she win?

Just then the intercom blared, the man spoke again.

"Subject Integ, daughter, congrats on retrieving good cross-testing results from this bout. Alas though, this Spider-Girl seemed to have bit you along the two-hour and fifteen-minute mark."

Petrichor immediately remembered slightly of that happening and looked down at her shoulders. There were fang marks.

Muffet was still limp on the floor.

"According to previous records of the Spider Clan, there seems to be information regarding said scenario. The venom acts as a paralyzer to some, and a form of Devil Fruit negator. However, everyone that has been bitten hasn't lived to tell the tale, so we have no idea if there comes a virus or disease with that. It will kick in sometime within 12 hours."

Petrichor kept trembling, she didn't know if she was going to die from this seemingly harmless bite or not.

"I can't retrieve the anti-venom for you, so I apologize if my theory is correct. I can't risk myself dying, I'm too valuable. So, I shall leave you in there for 12 hours. If come back and you're alive, great. If not, well, sucks I guess." The man said as the blast doors on the screens where he was observing from started to come down.

Petrichor started hyperventilating. She didn't want to die. But most importantly. Why didn't he care about her well-being?

She was his best creation. He should care, but he didn't. Why was she disposable?

There's no way here life lead up to this just for her to die to a spider bite, right?

The blast doors closed. All communication both verbally and visually was cut off. The lights started to dim down, it was nearing pitch darkness. She started to shake uncontrollably.

This wasn't part of the plan. None of this was part of the plan. She wasn't told of hypothetical uncurable venom. How could she have known?

Just then, Muffet laughed. It was a soft laugh.

There was a pause of silence. Petrichor stopped shaking.

After a few seconds, Muffet laughed again, harder.

It then turned into her sitting upright with one knee propped and her left set of arms resting on top of them. Her head cocked back and delivered an open-mouth burst of laughter.

"Huehuehuehue~! Dearie~! I didn't inject any of my venoms into you! Huehuehuehue~!" Muffet said beginning to tear up from her laughter.

Petrichor's face was flushed with embarrassment and rage.

"W-what do you mean?!" Petrichor said getting into a stance.

"Calm down dearie~ sit down with me. You wanted me to take the fall right? Well, I had to make it believable first, and I thought this way we can have a more personal one-on-one." Muffet said patting the ground next to her.

Petrichor reluctantly looked around. Saw that the cameras and screens were off. No one was listening in for at least the next 12 hours.

She also felt a little mad that Muffet had been this smart this entire time but always seemed like she wasn't that bright.

She looked at the spider bite on her shoulder and sighed. She rubbed it and slowly sat down next to her, her tail aimed at Muffet's neck the entire time.

Muffet didn't care. She only had a smile on her face.

"So dearie~ I bought us 12 hours. Now, I have a few questions and in return, I'll answer a few of yours...It'll be like truth or dare." Muffet said with child-like wonder.

"Why would I want to play such a childish game with someone in such squalor?" Petrichor said with a revolted face.

"What's a squalor?" Muffet said innocently.

"Well, uh, when someone is in squalor, it means they're poor. You know, like they're homeless."

"So...if you are homeless, you are poor?"

"Well, yeah."

"Me and my two brothers were without a home for a while but we were quite wealthy."

"Then why didn't you buy yourself a house?!"

"Because we don't really pride ourselves with riches. We were saving those for a ship so that we can kickstart our pirate crew...but, now I have to raise money all over again...which is why you saw me..." Muffet said looking to the ceiling slowly and gazing off.

Petrichor only felt more and more self-conscious around this spider girl. How was she able to find herself to be so fine with where she was in life?

"Yeah...you told me yesterday...how were you planning on raising money? You know...besides digging treasure?" Petrichor said looking up at the ceiling too.

"Well first, I want to know...where are we right now?"

Petrichor just slowly nodded. And sighed.

"Welcome to Cloud N.I.N.E...A research facility under the waters near WaterOak...this island is seemingly ordinary with nothing too special going on with it...but, this is a facility known for the kidnapping and experimentation to abandoned children."

Muffet's eyes focused on her and widened in disbelief the more she went on. She was too tired to be angry.

"Why...hasn't any on this island known about this?" Muffet said with concern.

"It's because this is funded by the CP9, a secret Government Organization that specializes in creating perfect soldiers. At least, that's what that guy keeps telling me." Petrichor said pointing to the screen indicating the man that was on the intercom.

Muffet tried to process what she just said but she couldn't register it fully.

"And I'm guessing you're..."

Petrichor sighed.

"His strongest experiment. His proudest creation. These mechanical limbs are a testament to that statement. I collect rainwater and use it to add more strength and mechanical boost to my physical attacks. My race is actually a more spiritually anomalous race on the top of the Grandline. Which is why he values me so much..." Petrichor said rubbing her arms solemnly.

Muffet put her right hand on Petrichor's shoulder.

"You don't believe that...don't you?"

Petrichor looked up at her slowly and confused and watched as Muffet slowly scooted herself closer to her.

"...What do you mean?"

"You don't believe he values you the way you imagine it. He values you because you're worth a lot. But he doesn't know your...worth. You get what I mean?"

Petrichor looked at her. And then she started to laugh.

"Look at Ms. Penny Pincher telling me what's valuable. You have moments where you're either stupid or really unintelligible."

Muffet began to laugh too.

"Hey, come on, that's not fair...well, you get to ask now," Muffet said gesturing her hand towards her.

"Well...why do you keep fighting?"

Muffet straightened her body at that question.

"You have to be more specific dearie~"

"I mean, your race is nigh extinct, your brothers left you, you're broke, you're in a society that doesn't value you either...so why do you live every day with a smile on your face, and fight twice as hard with each battle with confidence. I...it's hard for me to even just wake up, knowing that I'm forced to be a subject to something I want no part of..."

Muffet placed one of her hands on Petrichor's other hand. She then grabbed both her hands and held them softly, directing her gaze so that they both looked eye to eye.

"I fight because no matter what happens to me, my dream is still not complete. You have to expect ups and downs during your journey, even when there are more downs and ups. And that's because the end result is worth it. That's why they're called dreams, they're meant to be proven reality...So tell me Petrichor...what's yours?"

Petrichor looked at this spider girl, a girl of riches holding the hands and relating to a girl of rags. This spider girl that she had been profiling this girl but not seeing what lies within a social class. Everyone is the same person inside.

And inside. Inside Petrichor.

She was filled with...

.

!

Petrichor's eyes glew an even brighter blue.

"I wanted to be a chef! A cook! My deal with him was that he heal me and become part of his research, in exchange that I get to learn how to cook from the best chefs in the East Blue...but, what's the point if I cant even cook for other people..." Petrichor said looking away from her.

Muffet started laughing at her.

"Dearie~ believe it or not, I'm a decent pastry chef. And, I was planning on having a shop on my ship where I would sell my pastries for money...I know how it feels. But hey, if we can break out of here, I can make you the cook of my crew and we can accomplish each other's dream!"

Petrichor punched her on the top of the head.

"You idiot! You can't leave here...no one can. The man in charge is the strongest man I've seen in my days. Even I can't beat him...and I'm the strongest creation he has made." Petrichor said looking down.

"Yeah, you have a point...well, we'll just have to get stronger without him noticing!" Muffet said punching her fist together.

"Why are you always so optimistic?"

"Because I have no reason to be pessimistic!"

"Well. Can't argue with that!"

Muffet started to stretch and get her body to feel relaxed again.

"And how do you suppose we accomplish that, he knows everything we do."

Muffet turned around with her trademark smile.

"He doesn't know about me! How about we keep making the excuse that I'm ejecting venomous venom! He'll keep giving quarantine hours and within those hours, we can train! However long that may take."

Petrichor wanted to tell her that her plan was stupid, but, it wasn't. It was viable.

She looked at Muffet, and suddenly, her being captain wasn't unbelievable.

"Seeing as how we are evenly matched. Training might actually go pretty well...and uh, the last question. What was your Devil Fruit ability?"

Muffet turned around to her.

"Well, I'm a Rubber Person! I ate the Gomu Gomu Fruit and have the ability to stretch my body with elastic energy. It makes it so my body is immune to blunt damage! However...because of so, my base strength lacks durability as I am not used to taking true physical damage. And I rely on my elasticity to do most of the lifting...so maybe, you can help me refine my craft a bit."

Petrichor smiled.

"Sounds wicked. The rubber spider...kinda catchy! Well, in return, I shall share with you that the leader of this secret base has the ability to take souls from living things and implant them into non-living things or other people. However, it requires you to be afraid of something for it to work."

Muffet remembered how that fight they had worked. Her fear of the ocean was the only way he was able to take her soul for a second to make her unconscious.

"Well! Maybe the key to mastering myself and my fruit is something like how your tail works...You see, I have power, but not precision. Maybe you can teach me that part too."

Petrichor and Muffet looked at each other. They smiled and nodded at each other before sitting back down back to back, thinking about what to do for their long training regiment.

"Hey..." Petrichor said.

"What?"

"Truth or dare?"

.
.

"Subject Integ, begin experiment number 183! This time, try and not let the spider girl bite you again, this time, we shall see what kind of optic nerves she has, so try your best to extract some." Said the man behind the intercom.

Petrichor brushed aside her newly long and even more luscious and plentiful hair and got in a stance. Her body seemingly matured and honed for battle. Only have been that toned from their many battles.

Her limbs got a few upgrades including her tail. They now fitted her proportions and harnessed a special power beneath the metal.

Muffet stretched to get ready. Her body is now more mature and honed as well. What was once a skinny and fragile girl, was now a taller, and more muscular woman.

Their height difference was alarming. Petrichor and Muffet now had to deal with a two-foot height difference.

Now they will begin their 183rd match.

It had been six years of constant draws and biting and late-night training. The other people working in this underwater lab fed both Petrichor and Muffet.

Somewhere along the first few months, Muffet requested they be given the cooking materials and that they'd cook for themselves. After constant harassment, they complied.

Muffet did this so that Petrichor can practice cooking within these years together and be able to harness her ability.

In terms of ability, they were equals. They stood before each other today, no longer just friends or business partners.

But Rivals!

However, today was the day.

Petrichor was 19, Muffet was 16, the year mark that Muffet told her brothers she wanted to leave on the sea by.

"Oi, You think you can finally beat me this time dipshit?" Playfully said Petrichor.

"Huehuehue~ don't be silly dearie! I would've never expected this much vulgarity from someone this classy."

"Does that bother you?" She said rolling her eyes and grinning.

"Of course not!"

Muffet said jumping off from the floor at an alarming speed and in front of Petrichor, winding up three punches using her right set of arms.

Petrichor pumped her stinger using her rainwater reserves and pumped it into Muffet's chest.

A purple splatter covered the viewing screen immediately. The man behind the screen flinched and his eyes widened at the gruesome spectacle.

He was expecting another draw like the past six years, but this time, Petrichor had done it. She won.

Since he couldn't see through the glass because of the remains, that was Muffet, blocking the window. He turned on his two-way intercom so that he can hear her and she can speak to him.

There was a thud on the glass. He flinched again.

"Did you...finish the job? Daughter?" He said with a gulp.

"Yes, father. Come collect your sample." Petrichor said.

The man slowly smiled, a little amusement was riddled on his face. This was the first time she had ever willingly called him her father.

He opened the door to his viewing room. Walked downstairs and opened the door. It was remote activated with a device only he had.

The man opened the door to the actual chamber and saw Petrichor waiting for him. She was even taller than he was, normally he would be afraid, but now was time for him to show his daughter how happy he was about her sudden change.

She hugged him and he hugged her back. A tight embrace they engaged in she spun him around like he was nothing, playfully.

He looked up at her.

"With these samples, I can finally find traces of that Arachnid Queen! Up in the RedLine! The World Government will be proud!"

Petrichor laughed.

"You say Arachnid Queen, but there's going to be two." She said with a new kind of smile. A devious one.

The man furrowed his brows and tilted his head to the side.

"What do you mean? There aren't any other spider women left-" The instant he said that his eyes widened.

Behind him, he heard the sounds of rubber being stretched. A familiar sound he knew that came from one source.

"Gum Gum Spider Rocket!" And from the back, came Muffet's infamous six-open-palmed attack.

It all connected onto his back and he faded out of consciousness. Petrichor tanked the shock and force from that attack to give the man no time to move or negate some damage or recovery time.

"You know Muffie, I didn't think he'd put up this little of a fight..."

Muffet cleared her white shirt that was stained with purple liquid and emptied out packets of grape juice and jam that she used for fake viscera.

"Yeah, I thought he would at least notice our plan but...huh..."

"Yeah I mean, we practiced your Devil Fruit power...testing to see if the glass was able to bring back your abilities since glass isn't Sea Prism..."

"Yeah, dearie~...I even practiced sticking onto the window while the liquid was on it for so long..."

They both just stared at this disappointing outcome.

Just then, the man started to groan. They instinctively panicked and quickly searched his pockets for the device he used to traverse the room. They found it inside his coat pocket.

They had found two remotes, one that had an array of buttons, and one that had a singular green button.

Muffet was the one to find it, and she pressed random buttons on the remote, and eventually the door he came from opened. The one that leads into the viewing room.

Petrichor and Muffet raced upstairs and Muffet closed the door behind them, to trap him in the room forever.

Petrichor looked at Muffet.

"Alright, what now?" Muffet said.

"Now...we look around this facility, and try and find the other children subjugated to this man's research. Come on!" Petrichor said running towards the nearest door, Muffet pressing the button to open it on her way out.

Just then, she turned around, Petrichor was already down the hall. She wanted one last look at the man.

From the viewing glass, she could barely see him through the jams and juice she splattered on the glass. He was awake.

"Hey dearie," she said pressing into the two-way intercom, "seems pretty fitting the way you ended up didn't it?"

She was proud of herself. But the man seemed to be even prouder.

"Bravo young spider! As quick-witted as ever! But hey, what about those explosive chips I have implanted into all your necks?"

Muffet's eyes widened.

"Oh! So you didn't account for that at all? If anyone goes outside the facility without my warranted permission, they blow up! The only thing that can stop them is my remote!"

Muffet grinned.

"Oh~ You mean this one!" Muffet said confidently pressing the singular green button on the second remote.

...

"Self destruct sequence In, 5 minutes...everyone please evacuate the area...!"

Muffet's hair got into a frizz at that news.

"WHAT?!"

All she can hear was the man laughing. Hysterically.

"You didn't really believe I didn't think of this?! I'm a fucking scientist working with sleeper agents. I always need a contingency plan." He said folding his arms behind his back.

Petrichor retraced her path and got back to the view room.

"What the fuck is happening?!" Petrichor said looking back and forth from the man beyond the glass and Muffet.

"Settle down," he said with an amused chuckle, "this means that the chip thing was a bluff, as all is by protocol, those other children are all being escorted onto the surface. The World Government deems them 'too cost effective' to have died."

He paced around the room slowly in circles.

"Which means that my head is on the block if any of them die...However! I was given special access to terminate any subject that has the possibility to deconstruct this project if need be. And I say, this is a fitting case, so how about it? From where we are, you can run all you'd like but never make it out in time. Or, you can hand me the remote, I'll turn this off, and we can go back to the scheduled program."

Petrichor looked behind her, knowing damn well that he was right. The room they were in was on the deepest floor and since it was underwater, going to the topmost floor was the only way to leave. The base itself was enormous, so even if they were really fast, they had no layout of this place nor directions. They would die to the explosion, if not, the water afterward.

Petrichor only knew the way in, but even then, she hadn't walked the path in six years.

Petrichor sighed.

"...Give him the remote..."

"What. No! We can just blitz our way I think? We got this dearie~!"

"No Muffie...he's right. The only person who'd survive this explosion would be you...but you'd die to the seawater afterward. We lose either way..."

Muffet glanced at her and then placed back at the man with rage and tired eyes. She calmed down.

She relaxed and open the doors that led back to the experimentation room.

Petrichor still was handling the panel in the view room. Hands in her frizzy hair. She sighed to herself as she felt defeated, body slumped.

Muffet walked downstairs the most disappointed in herself she has been. Embarrassed even.

She walked back into the room feeling weak as the sea Prism weakened her. She got right in his face.

"Here." She said dropping the remotes into his hand.

The man gripped the remotes in his hand, atomizing them immediately.

Muffet's eyes widened and so did Petrichor.

And before they could even process what he just did, he charged up a hefty right hook.

"HOW DARE YOU USE MY DAUGHTER AGAINST ME!" He yelled with a growl as he caught Muffet off guard and without her Devil Fruit abilities present.

She was flung across the room, and onto the glass panel. Then, it shattered and Muffet's body crashed into the view room that Petrichor was in.

Muffet stopped at the back most the wall next to the door. Feeling hurt but stronger since she was no longer on Sea Prism Stone.

Petrichor realized that assessment too.

By breaking the remotes after she opened all the doors. He allowed himself grounds to start this fight with a headstart and also all access into the rooms after he was done.

"Heads up Muffie, this man is both a scientific and fighting genius."

The man was already in the room. Both Muffet and Petrichor flinched. They didn't even see him get there.

"YOU THOUGHT I WOULDN'T THINK OF THIS?! THIS IS A DISRESPECT!" The man angrily growled as he clotheslines them through the back most wall of the room and into a long dark hallway connecting their previous room and the next.

Muffet was unharmed but Petrichor got some damage dealt on her.

"Self Destruct...4 minutes."

Petrichor and Muffet got up, they were on the opposite side of the dark hall from the man.

"Never...! In my life...! Have I wanted to resort to a commoner concept of 'training'...! But did you really think that I wasn't training all these years for this scenario?!" Said the man.

Both the girls flinched hearing that. They hadn't anticipated that outcome.

"I! Beisen Moor! Will not let the World Government's greatest experiment and the daughter of-" Before he could address Muffet, there was an explosion that shook everyone in the room to some degree except Muffet.

Rubber is heavily resistant to tremors.

The man for once looked confused.

"What? There shouldn't be any explosions happening yet unless...no..."

Petrichor was confused as well.

Muffet...grinned.

"Spider girl...what did you do?!"

Petrichor flicked her head back to look at Muffet.

"You know, your theories and research on me were pretty thorough...but I made sure to hide one thing from you that you would have no business ever knowing."

The room got quiet. There was another explosion that shook everyone but her.

"And what it is?!"

"I specifically can talk to other spiders via string connection. Every time a visitor came, I put a singular string on them, and my string is thin and strong enough to go under, around, and into the tiniest crevices with ease, giving me access eventually to talk to spider people...now tell me Beisen..."

Beisen gulped. His palms were clammy.

Petrichor smiled.

Muffet put on her spider hat and gave him a single-finger gun with her top left hand. The hat tilted to one side.

"How many of your experiments are arachnids! You entomologist!" She said with heft in her voice.

Petrichor thought about it too, the scientist was only interested in trying to replicate the spider race into soldiers. Which meant, that Muffet had been planning this breach with every other subject in the base for this day.

So now, somewhere else right now...

Those same subjects were causing constructive havoc.

The man, too angry to reason, rushed at them.

"IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THEY LEAVE! AS LONG AS YOU TWO GET CAUGHT UP IN THE BLAST, IT'LL BE WORTH IT! YOU TWO CAN NOT BE ALLOWED TO ROAM THE PLANET! THIS WORLD CANT HANDLE BOTH OF YOU FOR THE FUTURE HAVOC YOU'LL CREATE!"

Beisen came in with another clothesline. Petrichor ducked the attack while Muffet stood her ground.

The attack landed, but Muffet's head was knocked all the way across the room. Beisen remembered this instance the first time he fought her.

She would miss it.

Muffet grinned with her head still fairly stretched back.

Petrichor went up from behind Beisen and got him in a full-Nelson, he tried to squirm out of her grasp, but she coiled her tail around his waist to reduce his movement.

"Let go of me!"

"Gum Gum! Spider Gong!"

Her head made contact with Beisen's and caused visible damage. However, Petrichor took the force of some of that damage being directly behind him. His head rocked back into hers with most of the force that Muffet exerted.

So both of them ground their heels on the floor as to not fall back. Once they stopped their motion, Petrichor lost her grip on the throbbing head she got from that attack.

Beisen then fell forward to get into a tucked-in handstand and sprung his legs back out to connect both his heels onto her lower jaw. Knocking her straight into the ceiling of the room, knocking half her body through the ceiling and into the floor above.

Muffet rushed him the instant he got on his feet. Immediately after rolling onto his feet, he started with a firm kick to her chest.

The kick made contact and Muffet was set flying to the end part of the hallway. But since she was rubber, the kick did no damage, but the wall impact made her bounce to Beisen with twice the speed as before.

Beisen didn't know exactly how to combat that. She reached him and grabbed him by the arms and ejected herself upwards towards the floor above.

All three of them sprung into the floor above. Red lights and alarms were now audible and blaring as seawater was slowly dripping and pouring in through the crevices of the facility.

Footsteps of people and gunshots of guards were heard all around them. Fires burning, beast yelling, wall breaches.

It was chaos.

Two guards, one on each side of the hallway, saw the situation, and amongst the chaos, found it was most helpful to aid the owner of the facility. The one behind Muffet had a sword, and the one behind Petrichor had a war hammer.

They both ran in to aid their boss.

And with one sharp glance from both Muffet and Petrichor, they took a power step to each other and on opposite sides of Beisen. While he was disoriented from the attack Muffet just hit him with, they clocked him with Petrichor's left hook and Muffet's three-armed left hook.

After the punch, they halted their speed in front of the opposing guards.

With a right hook, Muffet shattered that man's Warhammer. And with a contest of sharpness, Petrichor cleaved the sword in half, vertically. Then they both dropped kicked the guard to launch them back into their original position to attempt another hit on Beisen.

However, fed up, Beisen got his senses back and tensed his muscles, firmed himself, and grabbed both of them by their necks as he tossed both of them down the northern end of the hall.

The end of the hall led to another corridor on this maze-like floor of the facility.

They caught their footing, Beisen made a hallway length long jump to them. Just then, when they were all ready to fight. The sound of beasts distracted them.

They looked to the western part of the hall and saw an army of 15 arachnid-based cyborgs of different shapes and sizes come rampaging down the hall. To the opposite side was a barricaded platoon of men with trained heavy-duty rifles and weapons aiming down that same hallway.

The three fighters pieced two and two together.

For a moment, time felt like it slowed down. Everything seemed to be phased out and drowned so heavily, that it almost seemed that the immediate circumstance and surroundings were just a blank foreground.

Petrichor, Muffet, and Beisen still didn't care about the danger present and focused 100% on the fight. Leaving the rest up to chance and instinct. As if the other variables didn't exist.

While perfectly evading bullets without care, Muffet combat rolled towards Beisen for a six-armed uppercut.

Beisen blocked it and, while evading bullets subconsciously, pushed her away. The instant he did, Petrichor, evading, all the same, came in with a dive kick.

He grabbed her leg mid-flight and gave her a jerk of his body and shoulder-tossed her to the incoming stampede.

Effortlessly, Petrichor banged her stinger on the floor, somersaulted over a few of the experiments, and stuck her stinger in the ceiling. She swung her body back and forth, and with a pump from her hydraulics, she rocketed herself back into the fray.

The experiments then made their way to and through Muffet and Beisen. Muffet shot web from her wrists and started swinging underneath the tallest experiment there to gain a height advantage.

Beisen however met her there, as if he found a faster means of getting that high up.

"Tempest Kick!"

He said as he delivered an abnormally strong and flashy swipe kick. The weird part is that it actually hurt her with...cutting damage.

Muffet was slashed across the chest, but it didn't deter her. She webbed onto him and grappled herself behind him.

In his confusion, she double kicked him into the incoming Petrichor rocket punch. It made a connection to his stomach which made him spit out blood and saliva fluids.

He was sent flying right in front of the army of men firing their weapons.

He got up rather smoothly as if the attack he just took didn't happen. He pointed at the incoming army of arachnid cyborgs.

"MEN! LEAVE NO SURVIVORS!"

While clinging onto the wall, Muffet looked at Petrichor, to which she looked back and nodded. Petrichor then swung her tail like a bat to Muffet and she was sent flying in front of the army that recognizes her as the person who planned the outbreak.

She too got up as if she was just launched. She pointed at the firing squad.

"GO MY FAMILIA! FIGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOM!"

The firing squad and the stampede both started yelling their warcries. Muffet backflipped onto the biggest arachnid cyborg there and rode on top with Petrichor. Using that experiment as a battling ram.

Beisen was furious with this entire circumstance. He started jumping off the air.

"SKY WALK!"

He said as he was seemingly flicking his feet so fast he was flying through the air to reach them.

Petrichor and Muffet leaped off the experiment and clashed with Beisen at the same time the firing squad and experiments made contact.

Men and experiments were getting wounded and dying bloodbaths were not only happening there but mostly everywhere else in the facility.

Beisen kept dashed through the air, while Muffet was web-swinging to avoid his air attack. Petrichor didn't have the means of getting airborne, so she quickly lost altitude as the fight dragged.

However, Muffet webbed Petrichor's core and used her right set of arms to swing her up to the roof.

As far as the fight was looking. Petrichor's head received heavy thrashings that were throwing off her reaction time and sight and vision.

Muffet also couldn't react as fast as her wound across her chest from that tempest kick was made. Also, that sucker punch he got her within the beginning where the wound was. So she was aching all over her chest and abs.

Beisen received pretty much the same treatment as Petrichor, but his back still hurt from Muffet's sneak attack with her spider missile. As strong as he was if she hits him with that move again, he knows he won't be able to handle it.

Beisen sees Muffet help Petrichor up, to which he holds finger guns up to them. One aimed at Petrichor and one aimed at Muffet.

"Hot Flick"

He said as his fingertips started burning up to one thousand degrees Fahrenheit and with a flick of his fingers, two piercing fire shots were shot through both Muffet and Petrichor's chest.

Both of them almost faded out from consciousness, but they held on. The pain they were feeling was a pain they weren't ready to face or even knew existed.

This wasn't his Devil Fruit ability, nor was his Sky Walk or Tempest Kick. This was something the World Government had taught to their most prestigious of men.

This was a lesson they wouldn't forget.

He Sky Walked towards them again, however, Muffet held onto her wits and gripped the ceiling of the hallway. She then rocked her body back and forth just like Petrichor did with her tail earlier.

When he got close enough, she hit him with a double kick towards the ceiling, which sent him into the floor above.

Muffet still had her web on Petrichor.

"You alright?!" The spider girl said in concern.

"I'm fine...let's go!" She said weakly.

Muffet nodded and underhand tossed Petrichor into the hole above them. Muffet quickly stretched herself up there.

When they got there, they were in a computer room. The room was huge and seemed to have cams on all of the floors and hallways.

Beisen slowly got up, breathing hard.

Self Destruct Sequence...In T-minus 2 minutes

He laughed.

"You girls will never get out of here in time...just give up!"

Petrichor and Muffet, two bloodied women, looked at each other and then back at Beisen.

The facility shook again, as more parts were getting flooded and exploded. Outbreaks happening on each floor and room.

It was a riot.

Beisen gritted his teeth. He took off his lab coat and revealed that his body was more muscular than they imagined it was. However, he seemed to have sockets in main muscle groups all over his body.

He snapped his finger. Then four tubes flew all around the room. Seemed to be swirling with energy-driven rainbow colors.

Beisen slowly walked up to one of the tubes and started to caress them.

"You girls think you were the only special ones...I've been doing this for so long... every time I get too attached to that one special specimen, the World Government wants to take the kids away from me...the kids I raised and help grow throughout their lives...So what do I do...?"

Beisen said solemnly, caressing the tube of spiraling energy, rhetorically saying his last words.

Petrichor thought about it...then she realized. Soon, so did Muffet. They both started to look around the room, more specifically at the tubes...in horror.

"...Yeah...I kill them, so and then use my Devil Fruit to keep them in here, forever. I've never had a family...and you Petrichor...I thought you were the first one to actually claim me as a dad...as an android...I can't reproduce...but you two, are my favorite kids..."

The man took off the chamber of souls, all four, and gave Muffet and Petrichor one last look.

He shed a singular tear.

"So forgive me for what happens next..." Beisen said as he implanted the souls into the sockets in his body. His pupils faded out to a plain white sheet for eyes.

His body started to gain an incredible amount of muscle mass. After absorbing all the souls, he took the chambers out of his body and calmly put them on the floor.

"Oh fuck." Petrichor said.

"Yeah, dearie~ if you want we can go back into the experiment room- right now actually!"

They both laughed nervously and turned around.

"Yeah, we'll meet you downstairs-!" Petrichor said as both of them got clotheslined again into the wall and created a giant crater in the wall.

Petrichor and Muffet spat out blood when he did that. News to Muffet, the walls of this place were Sea Prism Stone.

Beisen picked them up by their heads. They were limply dangling from his grip.

Petrichor tried to pry his hand open.

"Is that move the only thing you know how to do?!" She said fidgeting around.

Muffet shot her elbows back and all six connected onto his abdomen. He flinched just enough to loosen his grip on them.

"So dearie~ how do we beat that?"

"I'm not sure! Didn't think we'd get this far."

"Me neither!"

Muffet jumped off the floor when they landed and stretched back her six arms.

"Gum Gum Spider Missile!"

She said as she re-attempted the same attack from earlier. This time, he block but was still sliding backward from the force of it.

Petrichor used her hydraulics on her tail to do a pressurized stinger attack.

She landed it on his arms and actually pierced his forearm. Although it was a good wound, since he was mostly robotic, this meant that she was lodged within his forearm.

Using this to his advantage, he swung his arm around. With her attached, she was rag-dolled into the air and then slammed back on the floor. She laid there lifeless as that attack was the last straw on her body.

Muffet saw this and rushed in to help her.

She stretched herself onto his shoulders. She went for a dive kick.

He blocked it with one of his forearms.

He went for a left jab. She evaded it using her web to swing under his legs and to be behind him.

She went for a six-arm hammer arm. He turned around and blocked it with his bare chest.

"IRON BODY!" He said as the attack did little damage to his physique.

He grabbed her with both hands. However, she bit him on his palm which scared him enough to let her go. As she fell, Petrichor was still out cold, her tail falling into the hole that they came through.

She got angry and stretched her body to the ceiling and used her spider qualities to stick to the ceiling using just her palms. She then tensed her leg muscles and pinned them together and started to stretch them back down at him aggressively. Like a spear.

"GUM GUM SPIDER JAVELIN!"

Muffet said as her feet came at him at remarkable speeds and power. It connected to him the first time, it actually caused him visible damage.

Angry at that, he started Sky Walking again. She got afraid and tried to dodge the attack but he managed to grab her by the legs and put her beneath him.

"RAPID TEMPEST KICK!"

Beisen said as he launched another flurry of blade-like kicks that seemed like green after-slashes coming out of his feet.

All of them connected onto Muffet all the way down to the ground. He landed back down next to Muffet, who was in a puddle of her own blood and seemed to be cut up in so many areas.

He reached out to her and grabbed her limp body by her torso. She looked at him, two out of her five eyes closed shut.

She was...shaking.

Beisen grinned.

"Don't be afraid little one, I'll quickly add you to my collection." He said as he reached his other hand out to her and gripped her soul using his Devil Fruit. As he began to take it out of her.

He heard a crack.

Petrichor was slowly getting up. The sounds of cracks in her body as she tried. She looked pale, blood slowly stream down her mouth.

"It's over Muffie...we can't beat him...his years of experience outrank ours...we never stood a chance."

Muffet sharply turned, her own blood gushing out like a sprinkler when she did. She didn't care.

"No Petrichor! Just run, I got him!"

"No, we don't Muffet! No, we don't!"

Beisen smiled and slowly let Muffet down. She couldn't stand on her own and immediately fell when he dropped her. He started walking towards Petrichor.

"Oh my daughter, have you finally come to your senses?" Beisen said with some for of fatherly care.

"...Yes father...I don't want to die...are we all going to die here?" She said as Beisen still approached her.

"No sweetie, there is a pod down the hall that we can take out of here safely. I was going to use it to escape shortly after disposing of you two...but I guess there is room for two." He said getting on one knee, offering her a hand.

Petrichor looked at his hand. She was trying to relive and softly remember everything that hand has done for her.

The facility was getting more and more unstable. More violent quakes and explosions were happening more and more frequently.

"No! Don't grab that hand Petrichor! We can still win this!"

Petrichor didn't listen to her.

"How can I be a renowned cook on the Grand Line, or you being The Queen of The Pirates if we die here! In a world where every dream is achievable and unique, it is fair to ditch everything in the way that prevents you from reaching it! Ain't that right father?" Petrichor said standing her ground.

She held his hand.

Muffet's heart sank.

She thought Petrichor was her ride or die. Muffet only slammed her fist on the ground angrily.

Beisen laughed stoically.

"Exactly daughter! Those who are weak and unworthy have no business deterring you from your goals and ambitions!"

He said directing his statement to Muffet.

Petrichor smiled deviously.

"Good. I'm glad we are on the same page then."

Beisen turned around. And before he could even react-

" SCARAB LANCE!"

Petrichor said as her tail dipped up from the hole they made, drenched in seawater and she ejected her pressurized tail into his chest. The attack pierced through his entire chest. But since he was an android, there would need to be a lot more to be done to kill him.

Regardless he was severely hurt.

Angry.

"What?! How?!" Beisen said.

Muffet never smiled harder.

Petrichor's eyes glew.

She was now filled with...

BRIMMING INTEGRITY!

"The floor below, while we were fighting, flooded with seawater. So I acted like I was passed out, but the whole time I was absorbing and collecting as much seawater for this attack."

"That being said pops when you have friends that want to see you do better...and strive with you to make you do better...that's where the real fun is! Not the end result, but the journey along the way! I rather die than live in a reality where we don't see each other complete our dreams! Because! MUFFET WILL BECOME QUEEN OF THE PIRATES!"

"ENOUGH!" Beisen said as he came down on her with a double hand slam that splintered the reinforced steel floors of this room.

Petrichor let out a ghastly scream of agonizing pain before falling silent. Blue blood splattering everywhere.

Muffet, her purple blood pour out her open wounds and cuts, saw this and fell silent as well.

Beisen took another deep breath. Slowly raising his hand again.

"I can always start over...make another base, train new specimen. But first, I have to rid all evidence that this ever happened!"

Beisen went to go slam down for another punch. However, his arm seemed to be unable to go any further. As if his arm was frozen in time.

Seeing as how he couldn't move. He turned around to see if Muffet was causing this.

However, when he turned around, Muffet wasn't in that crater in the ground anymore. She disappeared.

Beisen looked back at his fist and saw that Muffet was there and tanked the punch with her head. The scary part was that she perfectly absorbed the shock of the punch, despite how strong it was.

Normally the punch wouldn't do damage but would send her flying. However, this time, she stood her ground.

She had now gotten used to the effects of her Fruit.

"You know what the girl told me..." Muffet said with the brim of her hat covering her eyes completely.

Before Beisen could speak, she continued.

"Her dream...her aspirations was to find her race...like me. Her race is only found on the higher ends of the Grand Line...All she wants is to be the greatest at cooking, so when she goes back to her people, she can make a feast for all of them..."

Beisen backed up a few steps. For some reason, she was speaking awfully calmly.

Muffet looked back at Petrichor. Then, back at Beisen.

"Do you know why I'm telling you this?"

"No! Why?!"

Muffet grit her teeth and stretched her arms back.

"Because. Now you know you have something to watch when you're viewing from hell! You monster!"

"FAT CHANCE!" Beisen said while pointing his finger guns again, this time swirling with soul energy.

His fingertips started to light ablaze again, Muffet started swinging her arms, flail-like, back and forth. The elastic force slingshotting to a single focus point faster than the last. All six arms, rapidly swing their way towards Beisen so fast it looks like an assault rifle spread shooting her arms. Making it look and feel like she was launching more than just her six arms at him.

"RAPID HOT FLICK!"

"GUM GUM SPIDER RAILGUN!"

They both yelled as their attacks kept clashing against each other in the middle. Some punches dispersed the scorching rounds. However, some clipped by or through her fist as she did.

Muffet let out many winces of pain. Despite the pain, she kept on going.

She then flashed back. The day she found her Devil Fruit, the day Frisk sacrificed an arm for her, the day her brothers left, and now recently, when she met Petrichor, their first fight, the bonding and conversations, and sister-like bond they have grown after 6 years of confinement together.

She wanted to believe all of this wasn't going to end here...she wanted to see it through!

She wanted to...

No!

She was newly FILLED with...

PERSEVERANCE!

Muffet's knuckles started glowing purple.

Beisen noticed that but didn't know what that meant.

"Self Destruct Sequence...T-Minus 30 seconds..."

Muffet roared as each Flick she destroyed, the faster and stronger her punches got. This kept happening until Beisen realized too late that she was destroying more than he could create.

Eventually, the fist got to him. He flinched.

"Iron Bod-"

Before he could get the technique off, the punches landed. Each punch caused an indent on his body. Muffet started to walk towards him while continuing the attack.

Petrichor regained consciousness, she couldn't fight, but she could see.

All she saw was Muffet, shredding through the entire room around her. Some of her punches were out of aim and being aimed at random panels and walls and boards and power boxes. All bouncing everywhere, destroying everything, and then reconvening back at Beisen's body. Each punch is more powerful than the last.

Each punch now was almost hole-puncturing him. Eventually, the whole room was dismantled. She then continued to walk forward and run through his body through more rooms consecutively. Each room getting destroyed faster than the last.

Beisen's body by that point was now torn to pulverized shreds as she just continued to cause as much damage to the floor as possible.

"MUFFET! STOP!" Petrichor said with tears and desperation.

Muffet continued to steamroll through the rooms one by one. Desperately trying to destroy each room until she can find the room that can shut off this self-destruct sequence.

"I CAN'T! RUN TO THE POD! I'LL FIND A WAY TO STOP THIS BOMB AND SAVE THE REST OF THE SUBJECTS HERE!"

She was fueled by rage and desperation. Hope even.

However, Muffet was quickly stopped by a tail around her waist that quickly but softly held her. Muffet froze the instant she did.

She stopped her attacks and rampage and looked around her. Everything was gone but, there were no more riots or alarms.

Petrichor hugged her from behind.

"It's okay dude, it's okay...the remote to turn it off was him itself...the sequence ended when he died..."

Muffet turned around and saw what was left of Beisen.

He was only an artificial arm holding onto a broken chamber of empty souls. The rest of him was a bit tricky to find.

Muffet was hyperventilating with adrenaline until Petrichor showed Muffet her own hands. Her six arms were bloodied and her knuckles were busted open and gushing.

She slowly calmed down and started crying.

Petrichor, knowing the stress she must have gone through. Hugged her closer and started patting her head.

"Easy Lil sis...we won...everything is going to be alright..."

They stood there hugging each other in this broken and crumbling facility for a few more minutes.

They were more damaged.

.
.

A few days later, the World Government eventually had to get involved. They searched the entire island looking for the escaped secret experiments.

Petrichor and Muffet had left by then and were hiding in Muffet's treehouse. Petrichor had just opened the hatch from below and snuck in with a barrel of pastries.

"You know Muffie, you do make some killer pastries."

Muffet giggled to herself. She still had bandage tape on her, both of them did. However, regardless, they had been living a fond life together.

The spider girl sighed after her laugh.

"Yeah...hey, do you really have to leave now?"

Petrichor looked off into the sea as she said that.

"Yeah...these specimens don't know how to function without orders, they require guidance and...well...according to the pecking order, I shall pick up the torch. I can't keep hiding them in different places, the World Government is checking this forest soon, so we have to evacuate to another island, a desolate one where we can all reside with just us. And after running a few cartography shops, I found just a spot! A desert! Fit for arachnids like us!"

Muffet giggled at that too.

"Well, you're right, I can't argue with that...it's just that...I...I..." Muffet tried to say before getting caught up in her tears.

This is the second time she has had to say an early potential forever goodbye to a sibling.

Petrichor wiped her tears with her tail.

"Don't worry sis, I'll be on the Grand Line most likely. Make your ship, get your crew, and when you're ready, I'll be ready too. And when you find me, well, make sure to have a slot open for a cook on your team!"

Muffet went from tears of sadness to tears of joy. She hugs tackled Petrichor to which Petrichor tried to pry her off her. However, she succumbed to the hug and gave in.

"I'll be heading out to sea in a year! Be sure to read the newspapers for me!" Muffet said with her trademark smile.

"For sure!" Petrichor said with the same smile and a thumbs up.

.
.

Tomorrow struck and Petrichor hitched a boat the specimens quickly assembled. They all were drifting off.

Petrichor stood on the mast.

"Alright, guys! The island is a long way away! But I know we can make it! This is to our future!" She yelled as her fellow shipmates raised their fists to freedom.

Just then, gunshots were heard. Petrichor looked to the shore and saw that the navy men had finally spotted them and started shooting from the coast. Three navy ships were sent after them.

One of the specimens went to Petrichor.

"What do we do now ma'am?!"

Petrichor just stood there and waited.

Just then. From a distance, she could hear a faint.

"GUM GUM! SPIDER WHIP!"

As an extended ax-kick cleaved the three Navy ships horizontally. Exploding them immediately.

The other arachnids looked at that spectacle with their jaws open. Petrichor, however, only waved. She then looked back at her shipmates.

"Don't worry guys...! We have the Pirate Queen's protection!" She said proudly as the dawn sun peered over the horizon onto Muffet standing on the treetops.

The navy men looked at her.

"W-what are you?!" One of the navy men said scared.

"First of all dearie~ No one is laying a hand on that ship...oh! And to answer your question..."

Muffet grinned and put on her hat. And jumped down towards the men, eager to fight them off for her friend's safety.

"My name is Muffet D. Baker! And I'm going to be Queen of the Pirates!"
