Wealth, Fame, and Power! W. D. Gaster, The King of The Pirates, had all those and the rest of what the world had to offer! Through many battles and trials, he had reached the pinnacle of the world's virtues and had nothing left but an illness that plagued him.

He brought himself in and was held at a worldwide public execution. Before he was executed, a man from the crowd asked:

"Where did you hide all your treasure?!"

To which the King of Pirates smiled and said:

"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left the most important treasure in the world on an island! Go and find it! 'For the next pirate that finds the UnderPiece, will be claimed the new King of The Pirates!"

Those were his final words before he was executed. He smiled all the way to his death.

With those words, the world was flipped upside down as he created The Golden Pirate Era! People and already existing pirates from around the works started to sail the seas in search of the treasure that W. D. Gaster claimed to be-

The UnderPiece!

It had been Twenty Years since, and people have yet to find the treasure he was talking about. Except for one girl, who is now going to change the world by storm for the sake of her people.

This is the story of Muffet D. Baker and her way to becoming Queen of the Pirates!

Hera had a couple of days to think about her next course of action. She spent around six days thinking about it.

Tomorrow was the war.

She looked down at the transponder snail and took a deep sigh.

Hera looked around, she went up to the nearest blackened tree and tapped it, turning her body into the wood. She then started slicing up her skin into the paper before turning back to her regular form. She then took a trip to the sea.

All the while, thinking about her next move.

She was looking for a specific animal, so she dived into the depths. After what felt like half an hour, she found what she was looking for, a squid. She swam at it at such a speed fast enough to scare it away and to make it shoot out its ink.

Letting the ink hit her so that she could turn her body into ink, she swam back up to the surface and went back to the spot where she made paper. Using her ring finger, she wrote on the sheet of paper.

"Dear family, or to whoever finds this first,

After Aunt Muffet found me on Monzierre and adopted me into the crew to where I would meet my mom, I've always felt like I was going along with your guy's journey. But, as of late, I feel as if ever since then, you guys have been following mine and supporting me throughout the entire way. I know you're trying your best to make me a good person, trying to get me to not kill members of The Revolutionary Army, and trying to raise me right but, it seems that my programming had more to it than just that army. Now I have to go and change the fate of this Continent."

She sighed.

"...But, I don't think I want to do that. Yeah, I'm a Secret Weapon, I was made to be strong, but I'm underdeveloped and not entirely a fighter at heart. I heard that the two strongest forces we had weren't enough to take down Hydra at the time, let alone me who is weaker being in charge of having to fight both him and the King of Olympus. I just don't think I'm up for the task. I'm not ready. I don't want all this responsibility. Recently, I met someone, who, for whatever reason, gave me a choice on the matter and gave me a ticket out if I chose to leave this to you guys and leave instead of following this alleged prophecy I was predestined to fill. And, well-"

She sniffled, a singular tear dropped onto the bottom corner of the paper.

"I've chosen to opt-out of here. I just...it's too much for me to do. I'm still a kid, I want to live out my life normally, like a normal kid. And...the journeys with you guys will not allow me to do that. Everyone in the crew has been amazing, I love my mom, I love my aunts, I love everyone...but for me to have what I want, I can't keep going into adventures that will deprive me of my innocent youth. So...if Auntie Muffet...If you are reading this...take this as a form of resignation from the Soul Parlour Pirates!"

The paper was trembling in her hands. No, she was trembling.

Her eyes were blockaded by her tears and inner frustration.

Memories of her time on the ship, singing with Ralsei, playing with Susie's hair, bonding moments with Undyne, the life advice, and encouraging goofiness from Muffet. From Monzierre to now. All the fights she watched her family do, the words they shared.

She would miss them. But she comes first, separation is what she needs.

"Sincerely yours...Hera The Undying..." She wrote finishing her resignation paper.

A whistle was heard.

Hera tried to turn around, but before she could fully do it, a warm and smooth hand was placed on her shoulder.

"Difficult wasn't it?" Shyren said rubbing Hera's shoulder.

"Yeah...it was."

"Want me to um...put that on the ship for you?"

"If you can, then yeah," Hera said before Shyren started to hum a melody that magically was followed up by a current of wind that blew that paper out of her hands and guided it towards The Field of Hopes and Dreams.

"...Thank you, and thank you for supporting me through this."

Hera walked up to Shyren and held her hand.

Shyren looked down at her.

"Ready to go?

"Yeah."

Shyren said as they both walked away into the shore, they went into the sea and started swimming away from the Continent. After almost an entire day of swimming, they had successfully swum, thanks to their speed, to Marineford HQ.

It was about to hit dawn, today was the day of the war.

She sighed.

"Again...I'm really glad you chose this option, I won't see you any differently for this choice of action."

"What do I do now?"

"Well, as promised, now you press the button on that Transponder Snail."

Hera took out the Transponder Snail and gave it one last thoughtful glance before pressing the button.

It rang for a bit before stopping. Then the snail spoke as if it was used as a vessel for someone else to speak through.

"Emergency Light Buster Call has been approved by Admiral Shyren, all troops will get to Constricta on the hour! We will make haste Ms. Shyren!" A navy man spoke from the opposite end before hanging up.

Hera sharply turned her head to Shyren to which she was looking back with solemn but knowing eyes.

"Shyren...what did he mean by 'Light Buster Call'?" Hera said with rising anger.

"A Light Buster Call ultimately leads to the destruction of a landmass dealt by a legion of Navy Warships and one Admiral...that being me..." Shyren said continuing to speak in a more determined voice.

A cold one.

"What?! But my family is one there, they are supposed to handle-"

"You...were supposed to handle it! Now that you are out of the picture from that mess like you wanted, I can go through with Morial's bucket list as she wanted it. She said that she wanted the downfall of Olympus, not done by her. But, well, I'm not here, so I have reign over what happens now." Shyren continued in her cold undertone.

Hera was furious.

"This was all a set up by you?! Wasn't it?!" Hera said with tears in her eyes.

"Maybe...do you get it now Hera? When something isn't done by you, when it should, it never comes out the way you want it. You know the saying...if you want something done right...do it yourself." Shyren said looking off into the water.

"Shut up!"

"Hey, be grateful that I haven't told anyone else about you being here, that's the trade-off. This is the choice you made."

"No...this can't be! I can still do something can't I?" Hera said balling up her fists at Shyren.

Both of them knew what the outcome of that fight would be.

"Goddamn it!" Hera said punching the ground, "I hate you! I hate you!"

Shyren frowned at that.

"But Hera..."

"No! Shut up! Second mother my ass! You'll never be a good successor to Morial, you'll never be remembered, I wish you had stayed dead when you died the first time!"

Now that, dealt some damage to her.

Shyren just looked away from her and didn't say a word.

Hera wanted to do something, but she was in enemy territory, Constricta was too far away. She couldn't think of anything besides her self-hatred.

"Your own family, betrayed and backhanded by your selfish thoughts and actions, now to potentially die regardless of who wins this war. All because you didn't want to receive responsibilities."

Hera did nothing but sob even more aggressively into her hands.

"Don't you think that they were bringing you on their ship and kept fighting was to inconvenience you?" Shyren said in a different tone of voice.

It was as subtlety aggressive, but it sounded warmer.

"...W-what...?" Hera said pulling herself out of her hands.

"Has it ever crossed your mind that they were fighting TO give you your dream? Has everything they did, not only been from the kindness of their hearts but to benefit you? You're too young to understand these adult concepts of self-sacrifice and common courtesy, which is why I told you to grow up. You didn't want to, so now you face the penalty."

Hera stopped sobbing but still had tears in her eyes. Something was different. There was something she wasn't getting about this situation.

"You bailed on them in their time of need, they are about to get in a War, and their only lifeline was you. When, maybe if you just faced your responsibilities, your youth can be lived out from there instead of living your youth in regret...I wish I made that option..." Shyren said verbally backing down from the internal argument.

"I...I see now...I was being selfish-"

"No. You weren't being selfish..." Shyren said before whistling. Her whistling made underwater currents lead out into the horizon.

"You are just naïve...you are a kid after all."

Hera looked at the direction of the currents, if she was correct, it should lead her...

"The only way they'll survive is if someone warns them pre-hand...or the war ends early...as advance as our ships are, because of the unpredictable anomalies of the Grand Line's sea and the creatures within it, it should take that fleet around ten hours to get there...It'll take me longer because...well I need to rest after that swim." Shyren said in a pretend cold voice looking away from the sea.

Hera looked at Shyren and the ocean again. She...smiled.

Shyren slowly slithered away.

Shyren was waiting for the sound of footsteps to trail behind her...but instead...

She heard a splash.

"...that's my girl," Shyren said humming a happy tune.

Right in front of her, Felicia came down from the top of the Marineford roof, in, yet again, not Navy-appropriate clothes.

"Sup Batistte! So, you came back from your vacation? Heard Grillby gave you one!" Felicia said pouting her chest out, her long and fluffy pink hair swaying in the wind.

"Oh, h-hi Felicia...It wasn't a vacation I was on..." Shyren said happily slithering past Felicia.

"It was a maternity leave...and I'm still not done...I'm just here to pick up something."

"Oh? Kids, eh? Well, what did you leave?"

"Well, Teehee...I lost my head."
