Satanael's last stand
With Augusta now gone, Satanael was staring down the barrel of many enemies. Akira, Azazel, Vali, Diehauser, and that was only to name a few of them. He could see that his forces were being wiped out, having already seen a good deal of his forces being taken down when Akira entered Balance Breaker, and that he was going to have to do something pretty drastic, or he was going to end up deceased.
He could see that Akira, and Diehauser were gunning for him.
Vali looked like she could have killed him with a look.
Then there was Azazel, who was watching on, his blade of light at the ready.
He also saw that Kokabiel was looking on, not even bothering to fight others, yet he wasn't getting involved in the conflict between Satanael, and the others. To him, it seemed like Kokabiel was observing and readying himself for a chance to do what he did best, and cause havoc with those that were around.
Satanael then turned his eyes towards Akira, seeing that he was prepared to slash him out of existence.
With this many people on him, he did feel fear creeping into his heart.
"Damn you boy...using your Balance Breaker in such a manner...you are truly a cruel twist of fate, aren't you?"
Akira shook his head.
"No more than you, Satanael. Face it, now it is over."
Satanael couldn't accept it, he didn't want to accept that he was going to die.
He thought about trying to escape, but with so many people focused in on him, he didn't think that it would be possible for him to accomplish such actions by himself.
"Lavinia, Vali, and Akira. All three of you have been a constant thorn in my side. Being able to be gifted with such lovely powers, and yet...you humans, disgust me so much. I detest that Azazel wanted to simply study you, he should have done the right thing, and built off of you, even if you died, it would be fine, others would have come eventually with your powers."
Spitting out the vileness that he felt for those around him, Satanael held contempt in his eyes for each person present.
Diehauser however didn't appreciate the tone and the look that he was giving Akira, so he began speaking up in a voice that showcased his annoyance.
"You can hate all you want, it isn't going to save you in the end. Though targeting my nephew, you have no idea how much of a wrong move that was. Though it seems my nephew is also ready to throw down with you, so maybe it should be a team effort between us."
Diehauser spat out, with Akira nodding, and turning his, and his dogs blade towards Satanael.
Satanael felt the panic grow within him.
When seeing Azazel looking at him with anger, he also felt angered by such a thing.
To the point that he could feel his own anger clouding his mind all the more.
"...That Longinus, should have been mine." Satanael looked towards Akira, and gave harsh eyes. "That's right, your power should belong to me. So should Lavinia's and then Vali's as well. I would have even gotten to get that damn Valerie's as well. God should have smiled on his Angels, not the humans below them."
Vali rolled her eyes.
"Well, too bad, you didn't get what you want, so stop with the speech, and accept that you can't get out of this."
To Akira and the others shock, Satanael began to laugh.
Like he wasn't even in this situation in the first place.
"Have you gone mad?"
Azazel asks, but was met with a seething look from Satanael.
"Not at all, I haven't gone anything. I am merely expressing my excitement over what is about to happen. Azazel, you and I are more alike than you think. You have plans, but so do I." As he said it, he raised his hands, and from that, magical circles appeared all the way around them. "This, is my last surprise for you. The power of the students that I have with me, I have been able to use their powers. So, I combined them together, to create something new, something bold, something immensely powerful!"
When he said it, from the magical circles, auras flew out of them. Like almost souls, but not quite. It felt like many people were there, but not there at the same time. Akira, and the others noticed that the auras clung together, and from that, a giant magic circle was being formed.
It was summoning some kind of creature. It looked like it was a chimera of sorts. It had the head of a Dragon, the body of a lion, claws and fangs, a snake like tail, and strange markings all over its being. This wasn't an ordinary thing that was being created.
"Uncle...this thing here...it holds great power..."
Akira could feel it with his body, this creature was something that was an amalgamation of several different strong people. It was something that almost felt like the accumulation of several people and their powers being set off and combined together to create a creature of mass destruction.
Azazel looked on, and turned his head towards Satanael.
"What have you done?"
Azazel barely could get the words out.
He felt horrified, disgusted, with what was being shown to him.
"I helped my students achieve their potential. Isn't that what a Sensei does? They help and make their students become the best version of themselves that they possibly could be."
He said it in a way that Azazel didn't like.
As if he was superior and that Azazel was inferior right now.
Azazel didn't care about that.
No, what he cared for was what he saw before him, and that was pain and fear wrapped up into a single being that looked like it shouldn't even exist for anything in the world.
"This is...I don't know what you have done, but this isn't natural at all. I can hear, the cries of screaming people, the fears manifesting through the body of your chimera creation. What did you do?"
"As I said, I helped my students achieve their potential. It can't be helped if they have to suffer to have their powers known to the world."
"You have defied the laws of the humans and turned them into your slaves for battle, and destruction. You have truly crossed the line Satanael...no, you crossed that long ago. This is simply disgusting."
Satanael showed a dark smile on his face.
Showing more emotion than he ever was beforehand.
"Maybe that's true, but that's how it is, Azazel. To create new things, sometimes you have to have to work out the issues of the old. These students followed me willingly. They desired power, like I did. I gifted it to them, what else can you say about that?"
"You're finished."
Azazel growled as the chimera raised its head, and released a giant flame that covered the entire area.
Lavinia gasped, as Vali stood before her.
Using her power, she destroyed the flames coming for her, as did Akira and his dog. Diehauser did the same thing, and unleashed his power, creating an area where it was completely safe thanks to his Worthless ability.
"Those flames, are so strong...it could easily kill a High Class Devil and wound an Ultimate Class..." Diehauser murmured, turning to Akira to see that he was standing to fight. "Akira, you can't fight this one. It is simply something that I have to deal with."
Akira listened to his Uncle, and knew that if he was saying it, then he understood what he was needing to do.
"I understand Uncle. I'll leave it to you."
Azazel looked on, and saw that Diehauser was going to fight it.
Satanael laughed to himself.
"Can Diehauser take it by himself? He has been fighting and has used up some energy. But, if you assist him Azazel, what will I do? Huh? What a mortal dilemma, isn't it? Though when you become strong like me, you don't have to think of these things."
"Satanael, you have grown a bit more cocky. Underestimating the opponents you have, and seeing that you have the advantage despite the situation calling otherwise. You might have your sword, but you also have to remember the power of these young ones, as well as the Champion of the Rating Games."
"No, I have grown to understand the limits of my powers, and the enemies I have come across. I have several scenarios for you, and each of them end with either your little friends getting killed, and you assisting Diehauser. Or, you leaving it to Diehauser and you fighting me. But, that could also lead to Diehauser getting killed."
"If you think that Diehauser is that weak then you haven't ever seen the Rating Games."
Azazel spat out, but Satanael shook his head.
"I do not believe he is weak, I know he is stronger than I am, and so are you. That's why, I have some little friends for Diehauser to contend with as well."
As he said it, he snapped his fingers, and the magical circles from before activated, summoning smaller versions of the chimera, but they felt very strong, at least Middle Class level of power. While on their own it wouldn't be too much, the fact that they had so many numbers caused annoyance to Azazel.
Satanael then faced Azazel.
"Your choice. Does Diehauser go, or do the kids go?"
Azazel grit his teeth, as Diehauser yelled "Azazel, do not let Akira and the others die!" Azazel looked stunned.
No, rather, he understood why Diehauser said it, but he also was aware of the gravity the situation brought to them.
Akira and the others looked on, before nodding.
"Aki-kun, Va-chan...we have to also fight. With the others with us engaged still with the rest of the enemies, we have to fight down Satanael. Even though...he is strong and we all have been weakened with our fights..."
Akira nods, and takes aim for Satanael.
"You are right Lavinia-san. We have to stand up and be counted as well. What we do here matters, we have to show the enemy that we are a force that he cannot mess with." Akira steps forward, and turns his blade towards Satanael. "You want our Longinus'? Then come and get them you bastard!"
Satanael wore surprise on his face, as did Diehauser.
"Akira-"
"Uncle, don't worry about me. I have survived for so long now, and I wont die to this guy. Besides, I've got people beside me...I have friends with me now." Akira looked to Vali and Lavinia, who nod. "We wont die to this evil Fallen Angel. We are a team...we are going to be kicking this guys ass! Azazel, help my Uncle, we've got that bastard right there!"
Azazel looked between the three of them.
Even though they were tired, and they had fought a good deal…
They wanted to go on.
They wanted to fight, and defeat Satanael for what he had done to them all.
"...Alright, you kids...you crazy kids! Haha, show me what you have got within you! Do your Longinus' proud, and kick Satanael's ass!"
[Yeah!]
Replying together like that, Akira, Vali and Lavinia got ready to fight Satanael, while Azazel flew off to assist Diehauser.
Akira, Vali, Lavinia, and the black dog stood together, readying their weapons or fists or magic towards him. Satanael looked between the three of them, before he scoffed.
"Children, fighting me. Hah, what is Azazel even thinking of right now?"
"Question is, can you handle us all at the same time?"
Akira asked, and pointed his blade towards Satanael.
Seeing three Longinus' together, Satanael felt his blood running cold with worry and anticipation at the same time.
"Is this something that I have to fight to get what I want? Show me the power that you used against Augusta. Maybe, just maybe I shall spare you when I take your Longinus?"
"No thanks, I wont need you to do me any favours!"
Readying Arondight, Satanael didn't waste time, and shot forward towards Akira, who in turn clashed blades with him. The shockwave between them caused the area to become distorted, and the pair of them grit their teeth.
"The power of a Longinus, shall soon be mine!"
He yelled, and pushed Akira back, only for Vali to unleash a good number of shots with demonic power.
But the legendary sword, was able to cleave through her power, as Vali crossed the distance, and got before the enemy. Raising her fist, she shot it forward but Satanael dodges out of the way, and aims his hand forward, creating a mass of light to fire out.
"Worthless."
As the light shot for Vali, swords erupted out of the shadows, and cut through the power, causing it to disappear.
"Little dog trying to fight me...!"
The dog then came out of the shadows, and tried to clash with Satanael, only for the man to use his sword to block the attack, pushing the dog back, while Akira launches a mass of demonic and darkness power mixed together, firing it like a machine gun for the man.
Satanael looked, and knew that he would have Worthless added to the attacks, so any light attacks he tried to combat it with wouldn't allow Satanael to get through, so he opted to dodge out of the way, flying high into the air, and came down towards Akira.
Spinning his sword, Akira went to combat the attack...when he faked Satanael out, and moved left, with Vali shooting out of the shadow thanks to the dogs assistance, and came at Satanael with her Longinus ready to half his power.
Inches away, Vali's fist went to slam into him, when Satanael swung his blade forward, releasing a destructive aura that pushed Vali back, only for Akira to come in from the left, and the dog to come in from the right hand side, their blades swinging out to clash violently against the enemy that was before them.
"You tricky bastard!"
Satanael pushed more power into his attacks, and fired off multiple waves of power from the blade.
Akira responded by also violently clashing together, and used his darkness to stun his power into the air, and crush it with Worthless at the same time, allowing the darkness infused demonic power to try and fight off Satanael, only for him to masterfully dodge out of the way again and again.
"You kids aren't half bad, I guess this is why Azazel, and others see the high potential. But, that is all it is, and I shall kill that potential here today!"
Using that chance, Satanael closed the distance, and clashed violently with his sword against his own, pushing against Akira, and began swinging for him, causing him to have to fight off the sword slashes, with the dog coming to assist him, blocking and striking him.
At the same time, Satanael also summoned some allies to attack Vali, who in turn turned her demonic power onto the enemies, and began shooting them, while also dividing their powers, adding them to her own to become even stronger than ever before.
Lavinia, seeing the two of them busy and also needed assistance from her, raised her hand.
"I will also..."
"Lavinia, you're still..."
When Vali tried to argue, Lavinia shook her head.
"No, I wont leave it to just you and Aki-kun, Va-chan. I shall also fight with you."
Vali knew there was little point trying to stop her.
She was just as determined as them.
Akira also was worried for the outcome of the fight.
Not for them, but for Lavinia, he didn't want her to push herself so hard.
"No objections?" Akira and Vali shook their heads. "Alright then, Absolute Demise. Lets freeze him to the core."
Summoning her doll of ice, she caused spires of ice to erupt from below Satanael, who took to the sky, and cut through them as they tried to surround his form.
"The Ice Queen has shown herself. Even if it is three against me, it doesn't make a difference at all! I shall kill you all and obtain your powers! I can even harvest your Gears from your corpses before they enter the system to pass onto someone else!"
Swiftly moving through the air, his blade cut through so many ice attacks that Lavinia looked annoyed.
However, one came from behind Satanael, and that cast a shadow, a shadow that Akira entered from together with his dog.
Noticing at the last moment, Satanael stopped Akira with his sword, but couldn't react to the dog in time and summoned his light in a barrier to block said attack, but Worthless soon took care of them, and the dogs attacks kept going for him.
"Mangy mutt!" Satanael scowled, and released a spear of light in the air for him, only for Vali to blast through it after Lavinia had frozen those that tried to attack Vali, giving the dog time to attack. "Aaaaah!"
Satanael received a slash across his right hand side, before his wings turned sharp like blades, and shot for Akira. Because of the closeness of the attack, Akira couldn't dodge or stop them in time, so the feathers that were like steel stabbed into the armour.
But even then, the darkness armour managed to stop all attacks, where he pushed Satanael back, and then summoned darkness to the blade.
"Have this!"
Akira released a crescent blade of darkness, and had it curve to go towards Satanael, but the Fallen Angel held out Arondight and blocked the attack all together, but Akira's Worthless power kicked in, and rendered the swords power useless, so though it did block, Satanael did feel some of the power land against his flesh, and caused his hands some numbing pain.
Satanael looked at his hand, and felt it shaking ever so slightly.
The blood coming off of him felt like he wished to kill them all for making him feel this pain.
"Great, you work well together, better than I imagined. I'm shocked."
"That's right, seems like you aren't doing so well."
Vali said with a fist tightened, showing that she was pissed at this man before her.
Satanael snickered.
"A mild set back, I assure you. I have been fighting Azazel as well, so he took a good deal out of me. Still, I refuse to lose to three children, there is no way on this earth that you three can defeat me. So, you shall suffer the consequences."
"Like Augusta did?" Akira spoke up, to the anger of Satanael. "She died to my sword, and you shall not be an exception. You kidnapped, and tried to use Lavinia-san for your own gains, and I heard what Azazel-san said as well. Using people, your own students, like lab rats, you have something wrong with you if you think you can do that!"
Satanael was taken aback briefly by what was being said.
But then, Satanael smirked, and raised his hands to the sky. Many lights summoned in the air, and turned down towards them all. It looked like a shower of lights, and they didn't stop for even a moment as they came down.
Lavinia tightened her eyes, feeling the effects of her body weighing her down. The burns, and the magic she had drained out of her, she knew that she wouldn't be capable of lasting like this for a good long time, she had to at least support those that she cared for.
But in her current condition, she didn't know what to do.
"Ooh Lavinia, look at you, covered in wounds. Here's some more."
As he said it, the lights came rather fast and heavy for the three of them.
As it did, Satanael used this chance to rush towards Akira, and began engaging him in a sword fight. Their blades clashed violently, and while Satanael technically was a Cadre level Fallen Angel that held a lot of strength, his swordsmanship wasn't to the level of Akira's own, Akira was an expert that had many tricks and movements that Satanael didn't seem to really have, beyond raw power he didn't have the skills with a sword that Akira had honed for years of his life.
So Akira did better than expected against the slashing Satanael, who couldn't get through Akira and his defensive maneuverers.
But, because he was fighting, he couldn't stop the lights coming down for him, as was Vali, who supported Akira by constantly raining demonic energy onto the Fallen Angel, pushing him so hard that Akira was getting through, giving him multiple cuts and drawing more blood out of the Fallen Angel, so Lavinia made her voice heard.
"Absolute Demise, freeze them all!"
Using her powers, Lavinia had her doll of ice raise her hand, and create a blanket of frozen energy. The lights rained down fast, but when hitting the freezing like energy that hung within the air, they turned to ice immediately, then shattered upon impact with the ground, or even simply a gust of wind was strong enough to completely destroy the frozen light spears.
Satanael expected this to happen, so he used his intellect to have a device that released a strong bright light. When it did, the three of them felt their bodies being stunned. It wasn't like a time freeze, nor did it feel like how Akira had managed to use his darkness to stop someone's body or power from moving, it felt like their bodies had been caught and wrapped around with some strange energy.
"Like that? It has some sealing magics as well as light based powers, even you Akira Belial will have to take a few seconds to have the knowledge to use your Worthless. In the meantime, I'm taking one of you out!"
He turned his blade around, and went towards Vali who was the closest.
Vali tried to use the divide power, and it did indeed activate.
But the spell was still strong, it seemed that Satanael had harvested a good deal of energy to make this possible.
Using his speed, he crossed the distance and raised his sword towards Vali.
Akira quickly went through several thoughts in his mind and tried to deduce the power, while also releasing his power from his Balance Breaker, which even was being suppressed.
"I see...so this is pretty smart, the power he has inside of that device, must have taken a while to gather. He is a smart guy like Azazel, but he also gave away a fatal flaw when he did this to me..."
Akira, using his powers, managed to break out of the trap, and saw the blade inches from Vali's chest.
Quickly vanishing into the darkness, he reappeared before Vali, with the blade appearing to go through Akira's chest.
"Aki..."
"Aki-kun..."
Vali's eyes widen when she sees that, as does Lavinia's own, seeing Akira take that for Vali…
"It wasn't the one I was going for...but that will do."
Satanael showed his evil smile as he stared down towards Akira, who in turn looked up towards him, blood dripping out of his mouth.
As that was going on, Azazel joined up with Diehauser, who was busy handling the chimera before them. Though he felt like Diehauser could beat the chimera pretty much on his own, Azazel also saw the mini chimeras getting in the way.
"Well, who would have thought that a Devil and a Fallen Angel would be working together?"
"Seems that we have been changing the times with our union together."
Diehauser replied, and placed his hand out, charging his demonic power all the more. Then with a burst, he released it out, and crushed those before him, besides the giant chimera that healed from the damage pretty quickly, then released a sea of flames for him.
"The regeneration ability seems to stem from the united power of those that Satanael has been using. Also, it seems that he has unnaturally enhanced those students of his, so they could create something like this that could even fight against beings such as ourselves. Powerful indeed, but if it keeps going, they will die."
"Knowing that, it should be easy enough for me to render it Worthless, and yes, to use those students of his, and sign away their lives to prolong his own, he is a monster. Azazel, your former comrade Satanael..."
"Do not worry about the feelings that I possess, I understand where he has come to now. He is an enemy that we have to deal with. Though, it seems that your nephew, and the others are going to be able to deal with it. In time, I'm sure any of the three of them would be able to defeat Satanael on their own. But that's for the future. If they teamed up now, with the amount of power Satanael has left, I am sure that they can handle it."
"Yes...my nephew, Akira...he has been through a lot, I don't see him losing the fight now. Azazel cover me, I shall deal with this chimera swiftly."
Azazel summons an immense amount of light and forms them into spears in the air.
Then with a movement of his hands, he directed them towards the smaller chimera. Weaker in comparison, and have no ability to regenerate, Azazel would be enough to keep them away as Diehauser dealt with the big enemy before their eyes.
Enemies attempted to fire flames towards him, but Azazel was quick, and used barriers to defend against the wild attacks, before creating a spear of light, flying forward, and began chopping through the enemies more and more, giving Diehauser the chance to concentrate on the enemy that was before them.
Diehauser then faced down the giant before him.
The chimera let out a howl, as Diehauser showed his aggressive look towards the chimera.
"This ends now."
The chimera raises its hands, and gathers a strong aura. Diehauser could tell what the aura was with a glance, determining it to be a magical aura that was enhanced thanks to those that would support Satanael.
Concentrating it further, the creature unleashes the attack in the form of a whirlwind. The destructive energies carved through the floor, and obliterated the ceiling at the same time.
"Good power, but it wont be enough."
Diehauser tightened his hand, and fired off a number of bullets of demonic power, enhanced with Worthless, and destroyed the whirlwind at the same time as the bullets continued on for the giant itself.
But the giant avoided the attacks, and rushed from the right hand side.
"This wont be enough for me."
Diehauser thrusted a fist for the chimera giant, who used its arms to block the attacks, having some kind of thick scales across its flesh which seemingly had enhanced the defence of the giant for a good deal, and it was natural, so Diehauser knew Worthless wouldn't be capable breaking through the scales, so he had to rely on his own natural power himself.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"
The fist of Diehauser's embed into the scales of the creature before them. The giants body shook as Diehauser released his demonic power. Spreading further and further into the body of the giant, but it began regenerating as the damage was being dealt.
Then the giant released flames for Diehauser who leapt back, seeing the flames burn deeply into the ground around them.
"Damn, not bad, this is a good challenge..."
Diehauser smiled, as a large blast of flame erupted from the giants mouth, but then vanished into thin air, as if it was being teleported away.
Diehauser looked for it swiftly, before turning right, and saw the flames coming for him increasingly rapidly.
He barely had a moments to spare, releasing his Worthless and erased the blast.
However, in the moment that he tried to attack, the giant armoiured up, and blocked the attack. Though Diehauser did do a good deal of damage, the regeneration was more than enough to completely stop him from being beaten. Though Diehauser, when in contact, managed to use Worthless, and the regeneration did stop for a time, but the chimera leapt away, and began healing once more.
"Well, that regeneration is a problem. I need to get a full hit out on him. Using Worthless seems to be working. Alright, so what I have to do is to slay the beast while I am in contact...or even from a distance. I just need to muster up enough energy. Well, if Akira can deal with his enemies today, then I can't show a bad side to me now."
Seeing that, Diehauser took to the sky so he could attack from above, and see if he could find any weakspots.
In the time that he did fly into the air, he saw that the creature was summoning flames not only from him, but they were vanishing and appearing all around Diehauser. It seemed like a multi attack from all sides to try and crush Diehauser in a single blow.
Azazel also saw that as he dealt with the small chimeras, and chortled.
"Well, how are you doing Champion?"
Diehauser glanced at Azazel, who gave a small smirk.
So he gave one right back, acknowledging that the enemies attacks approached him.
"I have some tricks up my sleeve just yet."
"Is that so? I can't wait to see the Champion at work."
"Then watch closely, and I'll show you the power of the Champion."
Azazel was glad to hear that, and watched with anticipation, as he also dealt with his enemies.
Diehauser changed his fists with his powers, and began moving so quickly that even Azazel was surprised.
"Hah! Hah! Hah!"
Diehauser enhanced his strikes with Worthless, adjusting and accounting for everything that the chimera could throw at him, and erased the attacks again and again, but the chimera used this chance to appear from behind, shooting out like lightning, the speed of the chimera being something surprising for the two seasoned fighters.
The chimera got behind Diehauser, and swung both fists down towards him, a strong aura surrounding each fist.
"You are fast. But this has to end now, I have a nephew that needs me...no, rather, I have to witness my nephew kicking some major ass."
Diehauser glanced back, before he raised his hand, and caught the fists, erasing the aura within moments, and shot off a huge sphere of power for the chimera to erase it with his Worthless added to it.
The chimera tried to avoid it, but Diehauser stuck out his hand.
"You did well, but it seems that there's still some stuff that needs to be worked out. I have to make sure that you're finished now."
With those words, and his next actions, Diehauser proved why he was the Number One of the Rating Games.
Diehauser unleashed a beam of energy. The demonic power enhanced attack ripped right through the chimera, causing his power to become something that stopped him in place. The power spread through his body and using Worthless, invalidated the connection between the chimera, and the others that were controlling it.
"Goodbye."
Diehauser's sphere he launched before, slammed hard into the enemies body. With Worthless added to invalidate the healing aspect of the power the chimera had, the defence it had wasn't enough, and caused the body of the creature to become destroyed almost immediately.
Azazel was happy to see that Diehauser had his title for a reason. He finished off a creature that while lacked a true mind, it had immense power, yet he made it seem like almost nothing and caused the enemy to be stopped once and for all.
As that happened, Akira, with the blade through his body, Vali looked absolutely shocked, and appeared to be angry. Angrier than she had ever thought that she would be at a situation such as this.
"Aki...no, it can't be happening...Aki…!"
Vali felt the rage for seeing Akira with a sword through his chest, and felt something deep within her wishing to spring out. The power of the Dragon that was sleeping within her, she wished to unleash that onto Satanael.
Lavinia could only look in horror at Akira's situation.
"Foolish, trying to save comrades. Friends. They don't help anyway. All people are good for, are tools for your own growth." Satanael turned his eyes towards Vali, and laughed. "What's wrong? Are you going to release the power of your Longinus now?"
Vali's felt a swell in her aura, and she felt it beginning to erupt forward.
"You bastard...you did all of this, to Lavinia...to Aki...he saved me from getting stabbed by you!"
As she said it, Vali felt the pulsating from her power increasing all the more.
The wicked look on Satanael's face, the way his face was contorting at the same time to show truly how evil he was, and it caused Vali to have her aura growing more and more. Satanael tossed Akira to the side, who fell down to the ground, unmoving and bleeding profusely.
"Aki...Satanael, you...you….bastard!" Vali raised her aura and her Sacred Gears powers shined. A bright white aura overcame the young girl, shrouding her in the beautiful aura that even Lavinia wasn't expecting. "Vanishing Dragon Balance Breaker!"
Both Satanael and Lavinia were surprised to see that Vali had achieved it.
Awakening Balance Breaker at her age like Akira had done.
Donning the new armour that was a white colour and despite her height and age, still raised her power quite a bit. Jewels scattered around the armour, and shined just as bright as the aura that was leaking off of Vali's power.
Vali heard Albion talk to her.
[Vali, you wont be able to equip this for long given the circumstances.]
"Even ten seconds is enough for me! I'll kill him for doing this to Aki!"
Satanael pulled back, and summoned light in the form of spears that surrounded his being.
Using her wings of light, and with the armour surrounding her small body, Vali zipped through the area.
"Tch, it seems to be a Balance Breaker free for all! Alright then, vanish!"
With a movement of his hand, he rapidly fired off the spears of light towards Vali.
Because of her Balance Breaker, Vali the time to elegantly dodge through the air, avoiding each and every attack that was given to her, besides one which did pierce her arm, and sent holy power through her body.
She winced, but ripped the spear out, and continued, seeing more coming for her.
"As if."
Vali stuck out her hand, and released her demonic power, enhanced by her armour, and shot down the spears, clashing with them. Satanael was surprised that Vali matched his power, and presumed that it was because of his fight with Azazel weakening him beforehand.
"You might have the power, but you can't defeat me!"
Feeling the effects of the light in her, Vali didn't become deterred, and came at Satanael, who swung his sword for her. The sword was sharp, and could rip through the armour, so she dodged out of the way, then leapt back as a wave of light came for her body.
The new speed granted by Balance Breaker helped her avoid the attack, but Satanael moved away a good distance.
"Good effort Vali. You are going to become the strongest Hakuryuukou in history in the future. Its the same for Akira, I think he is going to become the strongest in history for his Canis Lykaon. Well, he would have been if he didn't get stabbed, and died."
As he said it, he mockingly looked towards Akira.
He was out of Balance Breaker, and laid on the ground.
In a pool of his own blood, Vali looked as if she felt fear and anger growing together into a single being.
"Don't you dare say anything about Aki! He isn't dead!"
"Not yet, but he will be soon."
Satanael continued mocking, Vali tightened her hand so tight that her knuckles turned white.
"No, he wont. You don't know him, he will bounce back from this!"
Satanael laughed, and opened up his arms.
"It seems that this is the age of the strongest wielders of the Longinus. Akira, you, and Lavinia, have shown immense potential already. But, Vali. You are young, you have the power to fight for sure. But, you can't hope to fight against me. I am above you. And with this blade Arondight, you shall be vanquished from this world, and your Longinus, is mine."
Vali looked on, and shook her head.
However, as she contemplated on her situation, Vali saw ice shooting up in huge spears.
"I wont...give up...either!"
Despite being tired and burned, Lavinia fired off immense spears to support Vali the best that she could do, so she gave Vali an opening when Satanael was using his blade to cleave through the spears of ice that rapidly came for him again and again.
She rapidly fired herself forward, Satanael noticed, and fired off his own spears of light towards the enemy.
"Hah!"
Vali managed to touch the attacks that had been sent for her.
[Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide!]
Using her special power of her Sacred Gear, she increased her power to insane degrees, and broke through Satanael's power, launching her strong attacks for Satanael, who looked on with slit eyes.
Then as the demonic energies of Vali reached Satanael, Satanael blocked them with a barrier. More than one, it seemed to be growing more and more as the moments passed them by. The power Vali had amassed was something that Satanael hadn't expected.
"Damn you…!"
Satanael went to move his sword to intercept the attack, when suddenly, he felt something behind him.
He froze in place for a moment, then turned his head, and saw Akira's blade going for him, his eyes widening when seeing that there was no wound on him at all.
He saw Akira, still in Balance Breaker, and ready to kill.
"W-What?! But I saw the sword go through you!"
"No, what you saw, was your blade go through the darkness. It's called an illusion you bastard, my puppy turned into me, and I hid my presence, waiting for the chance!"
Satanael looked down, and saw that Akira wasn't there.
He looked to Vali, and Lavinia, who both gave smirks.
"You were both in on this..."
"Yeah, its called acting."
Vali replied as Lavinia nods.
"You underestimated us, Satanael. Now, Aki-kun, show him our power!"
"Yeah, I will."
Understanding what was going on, Satanael felt enraged.
"You little shit, I'll kill you!"
Satanael growled, and tried to move his sword, when he saw the dog come in. Together with an icy aura from Lavinia and her own Sacred Gear, the blades clashed, and using Worthless, caused the power of the sword to vanish from sight, and then the aura of ice to travel up his sword, and up his body at the same time, freezing him more and more.
"Get him Aki-kun! Va-chan! Finish him off!"
Satanael looked on, seeing Vali shooting off her power, and Akira coming for him dangerously.
"Satanael, have this!"
Satanael tried to defend, but Akira released Worthless and darkness at the same time.
The darkness stopped his movements with the immense power, and the Worthless stopped his barriers from even forming. Together, combining the powers, he was capable of showcasing a truly shocking power that even Satanael was feeling worried.
"No, I wont be beaten like this! You can't defeat me kids!"
Satanael tried moving his hand, but it was frozen. The ice was growing more and more, with the blade still in contact with the dogs icy one thanks to Lavinia's power.
His powers weren't activating thanks to the darkness surrounding him being coated in Worthless.
And because he couldn't move due to the darkness, it was proving difficult to get out of it.
He looked between the three of them, seeing that they were tired themselves.
Even then, they were determined.
All three of them pushed past their limits.
Akira could feel that the time he could stay in Balance Breaker was close to becoming expired.
But even then, he knew he needed the power, so he did his best to maintain the form.
Panting and sweating profusely, Akira got close to Satanael, as Vali's power smashed deep within his body.
"Have that!"
"Gwaaaaaaah!"
Blood erupted out of his back, as Akira kept a dark look on him.
Vali got in close, and touched his body.
"Your power, is gone!"
[Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide!]
Vali stole as much power as she possibly could from Satanael, weakening him enough for Akira to deliver the final blow.
"You are strong Satanael, your fight with Azazel-san also slowed you down. But you also underestimated us. We might be young, but you came after people we care for. This...is the combination of three Longinus'. You might not have created one, but you get to die to three!"
Satanael felt panic growing within him.
If it was one…
If it was two…
He felt like that he could have handled it.
But in the end, he could see that wasn't going to happen anymore.
The three of them had impeccable teamwork.
And the powers combined, managed to reach him.
"Nooooooo!"
Satanael tried to move.
He tried to do everything he could to escape.
But in the end, he couldn't do anything.
The ice from Lavinia and the dog releasing darkness to keep wrapping around him caused his powers to be Worthless. So he couldn't move, nor could he summon his powers. He tried doing different techniques, such as light, and magic. But the dog, and Akira by extension, recognized them and rendered them ineffective, along with the ice slowing down the formation of the magics to give Akira and his dog enough time to understand the power, and cause it to disappear, showing the teamwork of Akira and Lavinia.
Then, thanks to Vali, Satanael was weakened, and his power had weakened to the point that he wouldn't be capable of escaping the ice either. So he was stuck because of the three of them working together.
"Die!"
With that final word, Akira crossed the distance, and swung his sword.
Inch by inch, Satanael saw the blade coming for his neck.
He couldn't do anything, as the cold steel sliced through his neck, and cleaved off his head, killing the corrupt Fallen Angel.
"Dead."
When Akira said that, all three of them released pants.
"Aki..."
Then, Akira's body fell to the floor, as did Vali.
Because of the usage of their Balance Breakers in such a fight, and also fighting someone as strong as Satanael, they couldn't maintain the forms, and the darkness disappeared from Akira, the same for Vali's armour.
The dog also became like a puppy, grabbing Arondight and went towards Akira, nuzzling against his face.
Vali fell unconscious right away, while Akira fought to stay conscious.
"Akira..."
Diehauser looked on with pride, having finished off the rest of the creatures together with Azazel.
"Seems like, you underestimated this generations, Longinus users...you couldn't hold it together...and you lost..."
Azazel mused to the corpse of Satanael that laid on the ground.
"Yes, he lost, to the three Longinus users." Diehauser began, his eyes never leaving Akira who smiled towards him. "Well done my boy, it seems that you have truly done a good job." As he said it, he noticed out of the corner of his eye, that a magic circle was appearing around Walburga. "Wait!"
Azazel looked, and saw Walburga vanish.
"Another one? But who could it be? They got through even my seals around...tricky."
Diehauser clicked his tongue.
"We captured his students as well, so who else could have been working with him?"
As Diehauser said that, Kokabiel looked on from a distance, and merely mentally noted "Good, now for the future...it seems that I have become secured. These Longinus users are monsters, I have to also become a monster to kill them." and though he didn't voice it, Kokabiel began thinking about what truly was happening.
For the moment, Diehauser went over to the tired Akira.
Seeing the young boy panting, and looking tired, he bent down and patted his head.
"That was amazing Akira, your Balance Breaker suits you very well. And that witch...she didn't see what hit her. Neither did Satanael."
"Uncle...I am tired...so tired...Balance Breaker...takes it out of you...huh..."
"Naturally...you've done a lot today, Akira. You can rest now."
Azazel nods, and moves closer.
"Because of your young age, it would take a good deal to maintain it, however I can see that the future for you and Vali it wont be such a big deal to maintain it. You have a good deal of stamina...but also willpower as well, both you and Vali, and Lavinia as well, despite being burned and drained, she fought with you all to the bitter end. Haha, what a fun generation this is going to be."
Akira smiled, looking down at Vali. Seeing her unconscious, but breathing normally, it was a very difficult fight. However...they came out alive, and that was all that mattered.
But then looked over to Lavinia, seeing that she had fallen unconscious. Because of her wounds and using her powers, she wasn't able to stay conscious anymore.
"Lavinia-san..."
"She'll have the finest treatment, don't worry Akira."
Akira hoped that was the case.
He then felt his own consciousness leaving him, and fell asleep in his Uncle's arms.
Time passed, and Lavinia had been healed, yet she hadn't woken up. Akira had his wounds treated, Vali did too. She had woken up, and saw Lavinia's condition, and vowed to stay awake until Lavinia was able to wake up.
Akira's forming peerage had come to check on them. Even Valerie showed her immense concern despite knowing him the least out of everyone.
Vali looked over Akira, who in turn smiled towards her.
"For our fight, I can't wait to see how strong you are going to become Vali-chan. Balance Breaker, you and I have that now...haha, I'm happy."
Vali let out a small laugh.
"Yeah, I want to fight you at your best as well. We have Balance Breaker...well, it shows that we are equally determined."
Akira nods, and pulls closer.
"Vali-chan, I remember during everything, you became very distraught, for me. Even though it was an act..."
Vali huffs, turning her head to the right so she didn't have to admit it.
"...An act, yeah that's all it was."
Akira lightly laughed, patting her reddening cheek.
"You don't have to hide it with me. I feel...happy, to know you had such care for me. Even if it was an act, your feelings felt real Vali-chan. So real that even Satanael seemed to believe you when you were that angry."
Vali turned her head, with Akira understanding that even if an act, Vali really did care for him deeply, and he felt the same way.
"Yeah, well...it is what it is. Balance Breaker for us both."
Akira nods.
"Yes, your Balance Breaker is beautiful. So, gonna tell me how you unlocked it?"
Vali turned her head, and murmured "I don't want to say." but Akira tilted his head.
Vali gave a defiant stare, and simply laughed with Akira furrowing his brows.
"Well, you don't have to tell me, if it is something personal."
Vali shook her head, and looked over Akira.
"I guess you could say ambition, and what happened that day."
"That day?"
"With Vasco Strada. That was in my mind, how you wanted to fight even when you were nearly dead, to keep us safe...that strive, determination, played a role in my awakening of my Balance Breaker."
Akira lightly smiles.
"I see...then Vali-chan, here."
As he said it, Akira kissed her on the cheek.
That caught Vali off guard, who in turn watched as Akira smiled at her with her cheeks reddening by the moment, though she would deny such things.
"Thank you, Vali-chan. For everything that happened during that fight, if it wasn't for you as well, fighting so hard, Lavinia-san and I wouldn't have had chance to set up everything to keep him contained. It was a team effort, and we worked well together~"
"Yeah...we did."
Vali's eyes went towards Akira's own.
Seeing his smile, his lips…
She let out a laugh.
"You know, there's something that I've wanted to do for a good while now."
"You have? What is it?"
Akira replied curiously.
Vali nods.
"It's best if I show you, close your eyes."
Akira furrowed his brow, then shrugged, and did as she asked.
When his eyes closed, Vali leaned forward.
Placing a hand on his cheek, Akira waited with anticipation, until she fully pressed her lips against his own.
His eyes shot open, meeting her own as she kissed him lovingly, tenderly.
Showing the affection and love that they had for one another.
Something that until that point, hadn't been made vocal.
But now, it was something Vali wished to share with Akira.
The extent of her feelings, without expressing a single word.
Their lips stayed together for over half a minute.
But that was one of the best feelings Akira had ever had before.
Pulling back, Akira saw Vali adopting a small smile, so he did the same.
"Vali-chan, that was..."
Vali turned her head to the side.
"...I liked it, I want to do it again sometime."
"Sometime huh? Is now a good time?"
Vali's eyes turned back towards Akira, seeing his cheery smile.
She adopted what best smile she could, and then kissed his lips with her own.
Their lips came together, showing the love and affection they have for one another.
Though they were young, they understood enough to know what love they had for one another. What depths their feelings truly were for one another, and that was the best feeling that they could possibly have at this point in time.
A little while later, Akira kept waiting for Lavinia to wake up. Because she had exhausted herself, Vali ended up falling asleep. But Akira, thanks to his time of sleeping more than Vali, managed to stay awake.
When Lavinia finally did open up her eyes, she saw Akira's tired eyes looking into hers, making her smile softly.
"The cute boy, came to save me from the monsters."
"Lavinia-san, you're awake...I'm glad you're okay. I was worried about you."
"I was worried about me as well."
She lightly joked, as Akira looked towards Vali.
"Vali-chan was also immensely worried, I could see that she tremendously cared for you, and would have come regardless of what happened."
Lavinia smiled at the sleeping Vali.
"Va-chan is so adorable, she has this big heart, but she hides it so she appears as the tough girl. I think she's really sweet though."
Akira thought the same thing and knew Vali deep down was a very caring person.
But then a thought came to Akira, so he exhaled, remembering what happened with Augusta, and what she said.
"Lavinia-san...about Glenda-san you're looking for...do you think she's really dead?"
Akira had to wonder.
Augusta could have lied.
But she could have also killed Lavinia's mentor, Lavinia could have broken, and he could see that Augusta would have loved if she did.
Lavinia looked down towards the ground and exhaled sadly.
"...I honestly don't know, it would be like Augusta to have done such things, lying for her own advantage. But, I don't have much evidence to prove one way or the other. If she is gone...then...there's not much that I can do. But if she's alive...then maybe I could reunite with her. Though Augusta...you killed her, then we killed Satanael together. I'm glad, they all did such evil deeds."
"Though her Longinus escaped it seemed, and went to that other Witch...Wildburger."
Akira responded truthfully, Lavinia pulled closer, and gently embraced the young boy into her chest.
"Do you mean Walburga?"
Akira hummed, blushing madly from being pressed against her large chest, before shrugging.
"Yeah...right, yeah Walburga~"
"Even if she is gone, we will find her one day, and if she tries to have a fight with us, then we will have to show her our strengths. I wouldn't mind my ice fighting her flames. She is talented, that Walburga, and I am sure she will grow in strength in the future, so I have to do the same thing as well."
"Even then, I wish we could have gotten more info about Glenda-san..."
Lavinia affectionately strokes the back of his head.
That action alone made him blush.
"It's okay Aki-kun, I think you've got the most gentle heart that I've ever seen, so I think it is okay that this situation has happened, because I know in times of crisis, there is someone that I can rely on, someone that cares so much for me, that they would come for me." Lavinia lightly kisses his cheek. "Thank you, Aki-kun. Thank you for coming for me."
"I-It's fine...anytime."
His cheeks heated up, as she stroked his face affectionately.
While doing so, the black dog came running up, and jumped into her lap, snuggling against her. So she moved her free hand and began stroking the dogs face as well which gave a happy bark up towards her.
"Ooh, I didn't forget you either Okami~"
"O-Okami?"
Akira asks, Lavinia nods.
"Yes, Okami-kun. Taking into account your Japanese heritage, I thought that this name, would fit this cute boy, don't you think it fits?"
Akira looks at the black dog, seeing him wagging his tail happily.
"Yeah, I think it fits perfectly. Okay, his name will be Okami~"
Lavinia smiled.
"I'm glad. So, what's next on the agenda for you Aki-kun?"
Akira thought about it.
"Eh...well, I've got my Evil Pieces now so I will be building out my peerage."
Lavinia raised a brow, before smiling.
"Big responsibility."
"Yeah...very big responsibility."
"But, I think you can handle it~ Besides, I'll be right there with you~"
"S-Sorry?"
Akira asked, being sure he understood her words correctly.
Lavinia gave a big grin.
"Well, I've got to stand beside the cutest boy ever, you know~ And my favourite little puppy too~ It's only right that I come towards you Aki-kun, and make sure that everything is good~ Don't you want to have me with you~?"
"Wait, are you saying…?"
Lavinia winked, and didn't say anymore.
Understanding what she was saying, Akira was very happy.
To have Lavinia join his group as well, it would be a dream come true.
Akira smiled softly, and looked on towards her as she gave a smile right back.
The fact that she was safe, Akira couldn't help but smile.
He was glad that she was able to return.
Though he knew that she'd still have some stuff to do, he wished to help her, whatever was going to happen now.
One month later, Akira stood in the town of Kuoh.
In the place that his parents had died, the worst night of his life.
Remembering everything that had happened, he hadn't been able to come back to this place since it happened.
It brought back too many memories.
But now, Akira had been able to finally do something he wished he could have done before.
He had saved someone from a fate of death.
Lavinia, Koneko, Kuroka, Elmenhilde, Vali, Valerie, and Akeno, among others.
Because of those people, those precious people, along with others he had met and made in to more precious people, such as Diehauser, Serafall, Rias and Ravel, among others.
And of course, his faithful Sacred Gear, that made it possible to save those people.
His human side giving him the chance to receive a Sacred Gear, and his Devil side Belial abilities blending together.
He stood in front of two graves that he had made for those he cares for.
For Cleria, and for Masaomi.
His Mother and Father.
"Mom...Dad...so many hectic things have been going on lately...being chased...being attacked...finding people...nearly losing them...so hectic. But you know...I am doing good. I remember everything that those people did to us...that's why, I'm going to find out who did it...and why they did. I wont stop until justice is brought...I miss you everyday..."
Akira laid down some flowers.
Looking over the graves as a gentle breeze swept through the area, at first, being in Kuoh, caused him pain.
But the more he thought about it, he didn't want this to be a place where it was only painful.
So he remembered the good times.
Remembering when he trained with his Father, cooked with his Mother, where they would read together, and play fun games together.
All of the good memories brought happy tears to his eyes.
Because it was such a good feeling, Akira allowed the tears to roll down his cheeks.
"Mom...Dad...I'll make you both proud, I promise. I'll become strong, to protect people...Mom Dad...thank you, for everything you did for me...though it still hurts...remembering everything...I will always remember the good times between us. Thank you. For everything Mom...Dad. I love you."
Akira bowed at his parents grave, as he turned.
When he did, he saw a cheerful waving Lavinia, a happy looking Valerie, Ravel who was smiling together with Elmenhilde, and finally Kuroka and Koneko who stood side by side, along with his dog who was together with Lavinia's ice Princess.
This was it, the peerage that he had built up so far.
Even Lavinia, who now had become his Queen.
"Aki-kun, lets go! We have a lot to do! As your Queen, I'll take care of you~"
"Ararara, I'm rather happy nyaaa~ Soon, it shall be time to make the children Aki-chan~"
Kuroka snickered, with Koneko shaking her head.
"...Honestly, Onee-sama."
Kuroka pulled out her tongue, as Elmenhilde shook her head.
"Well, it seems everyone is in high spirits Akira-kun~"
Elmenhilde cheered, as Valerie held up a cheerleading outfit.
"Ooh, I've also had a new idea for a cosplay, Akira-kun! What about this cheering outfit? I believe they are called cheerleaders. I have heard it is supposed to invigorate those around~"
Ravel looked between the girls, before lightly laughing to herself.
"Geez, it seems that I'll have to come up with a schedule for the future. But...I don't mind, leave it with me Akira-sama."
They cheerfully laughed, as Akira approached them.
Looking between them, Akira gave a bright smile.
"Lets go and have some fun, everyone."
[Yeah!]
With that, they took off together, enjoying their time together.
Though they had a lot of stuff still to do, they had begun their paths.
Akira, and his forming family right now, were enjoying every little time they had to simply relax.
Diehauser looked on from a good distance, seeing Akira happily being with his peerage, as his eyes went towards the graves Akira had made.
"Cleria...you would be proud of him...I know, that I am. And as he said...we will find out what happened to you...but don't worry about him...haha, I think he's going to be alright."
Diehauser smiled, as he walked off, leaving Akira and his peerage to have a good time together.
Finally, for the first time for a long time, they could have some peace together.

So this chapter had Akira, Vali, and Lavinia all teaming up together, and though each in their own way were exhausted, they didn't stop fighting and came for Satanael with everything they had, eventually finishing him off with their teamwork and skills coming together.
Diehauser, and Azazel also quickly finished off their opponents, along with Kokabiel doing something suspicious. We shall see what he's up to pretty soon~
Then Akira and Vali shared an intimate moment together. Lavinia also decided to stay beside Akira after everything that happened, and has happily become his Queen. It seems that everything had ended well for them, for now.
But next time, we're going to be going into a time skip, with Isane appearing among other things.
