This is a "missing scene" from the episode "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" (the one where the Enterprise goes back in time to the 20th century and an Air Force pilot investigates her as a UFO). In this little tale, Captain Christopher gives Dr. McCoy a new way to think about Vulcans. (This story is about the Spock-McCoy friendship, but there's no romance.)

Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, and Doctor McCoy take a trip back in time and get caught up in the weather. Written from the prompt: "Write a creative story that begins 'I awoke to the sound of rushing water.'" Short story. Completed as of 2010.

Captain James T. Kirk stared at the view screen. A hologram appeared in front of him. The alien's name is Min Song Kee Tra 712. Using hypnotic suggestion, he tricks Captain Kirk into sending down a search party consisting of Shieh, Welch, McCoy, Spock and Lieutenant Decker. McCoy, of course, objects to this but Kirk vetoes him. The crew beams down to the office of Kee Tra 712.

Spock learned that humans cry when he was very young from his mother. The same mother that he was now trying to save.

It's no holiday for Jamie Kirk when the Enterprise docks at Station T-12 for shore leave. Orion pirates have stolen the planet Cortina's national treasure. So the first section of this has been sitting in my WIP file for 2.5 years. I knew I wanted to explore Kirk and Chapel in a post STV environment, which is not my norm (post TMP is more my speed). Spock plays a significant role here for those who tire of K/Ch fics that don't include him as much. This has the things I like the most: insecure Kirk, damaged Chapel, & unlikely friends.

All he wants is to go home and make amends...and all she wants is him. The Enterprise is the answer to both. But it is another's desire that spells danger for their love and the crew of the Enterprise. Several OCs (and Kevin Riley is in this story, too). Please review! UPDATE: Finished!

It's been noted that I've never done a Scott/Chapel. There's a reason for that: I don't find the character attractive, although like McCoy he often steals the show with his wit. So it was a challenge to write something for them that didn't feel "false." To make this work, this also is a Spock/Chapel. Not my normal Chapel, although after so many stories, what does that even mean?
