My maid at school!
Izuku Midoriya was getting ready for school. He was nervous for one reason, and it involved the maid he hired yesterday.
"W-Why am I panicking? I-It's just going to be another regular school day right?" But the more he thought about it the more the butterflies in his stomach swirled around. "Y-Yaoyorozu is just a classmate... and also my maid." But the part that gave Izuku the most anxiety was when she said he would always be a priority to her. "Does it count at school as well?" Although he knew he shouldn't think that, Yaoyorozu wanted to keep it secret so he knew he shouldn't expect anything maid-like during school. "Ah, why do I even care? Y-Yaoyorozu is my friend, n-nothing more!" And he ran out of his home trying to escape his own thoughts.
"I hope it's not as noticeable as I feel it is. Midoriya didn't seem to notice." Momo was in front of her vanity mirror as she applied her makeup. She was specifically doing her best to hide the purple bags under her eyes. She sighed after she thought she hid it well enough. She hadn't been able to catch up on her beauty sleep ever since...
'Well, no matter.'
She shook away her tiredness after getting a sudden surge of energy as she thought about yesterday. "I finally have a steady client of my own and it's Midoriya. I don't have to worry about him being a pervert." Not only that but she actually felt comfortable around him and didn't mind acting like a neko-maid, in fact, she kind of enjoyed teasing him with it.
"But now we are just going to be classmates. Should I still take care of him? I mean I should if I want to keep him as a loyal client, right? But he's also my friend and I can't act like that in front of everyone else... But still, I meant what I said. Midoriya is always taking care of everyone, so this time he will be the one that's taken care of! Oh, I know, I'll make him a lunchbox." And she went to go prepare one for him with a giddy giggle.
Izuku took a deep breath before he walked through the door of their classroom. He instinctively turned his eyes to the corner of the classroom next to the window where she usually sat and felt a sudden relief when he saw her sitting there like she always does. Yaoyorozu felt eyes on her and met them, seeing Izuku at the front of the class. She grew a small smile and twinkled her fingers at him before fixing her loose strand of hair and turning back to the window so he wouldn't see the pink tint growing over her cheeks.
'Now that I actually packed him a lunch, h-how do I go about giving it to him?!' Although she looked prim and proper as usual, internally she was an insecure mess. The student Yaoyorozu and the neko-maid Momo were mentally clashing against each other and she didn't know how to handle it.
As Izuku went to go sit by his desk, which was two seats in front of Momo's, the person who sat behind Izuku tapped him on the shoulder after he was seated.
"Huh, Mineta, what's up?" Izuku turned around to talk to the grape-perv, while also sneaking glances at Momo, while she pretended not to be eavesdropping, while also stealing glances at Izuku through the reflection in the window.
"So Midoriya did you end up using the Wild Wild Pussycats' Maid Service? Who did you get? Was it Pixie-Bob? Or perhaps Ragdoll? I know you would hate it if it was Mandalay, you see her as your aunt, right? Right?! Ah, why can't I have an aunty neko-maid! Damn they had my phone and address blacklisted before I even had the chance to request them!" At this point, Mineta was salivating at the idea of having them serve under him.
"O-Oi, Mineta you're freaking me out! Calm down, calm down!" Izuku was shaking the poor perverted bastard. But then Izuku stopped when he felt an enormous dark presence behind Mineta. His eyes shifted from Mineta to Momo... A threatening aura was leaking out of her and her eyes were shadowed!
'Hiee! I'm screwed!' Izuku let go of Mineta, "Of course, I didn't order the maid service! And even if I did it wouldn't be for perverse reasons like you!" Izuku tried to clear up before facing forward again, and hiding his face on his desk with his arms over his head.
Momo's anger diminished and was soon replaced with insecurity. Her lips parted as her eyes winced, staring at Midoriya's cowering back. 'O-Of course Midoriya, isn't like that, but still...' She felt her trust being violated. 'Why did I even bother to make him a lunchbox?'
And it was time for lunch. The morning classes went by awkwardly enough for both of them, they simply avoided each other. As everyone was making their way out of the class, Iida and Uraraka asked Deku at his desk, if he wanted to have lunch with them. He was about to say sure like usual but spotted Yaoyorozu leaving the classroom by herself and figured it would be his best chance to clear things up. He excused himself and apologized, telling Uraraka and Iida that he had something to do, as he went to go follow after her.
"H-Hey Yaoyorozu, w-wait up." He called after her as he caught up alongside her as they walked through the halls.
"Yes, what can I help you with Midoriya."
Izuku was taken back a bit from her formal voice although he did expect it. He cleared his throat. "I just wanted to clear things up, about what Mineta said."'
"Why would I care about that?" Pretending she wasn't a maid at all.
"It's just I don't want you to get the wrong idea, okay yes he did give me the flier but I just really needed the help." Izuku scratched his cheek, glancing around to make sure none of their classmates were around. "And to be more honest, the only reason I was able to hire your maid service is because the Wild Wild Pussycats are kinda like family to us right? I mean Mineta had a point, Kota is like a little brother to me, and Mandalay kinda does act like an aunt. Hehe, she was actually the one I talked to on the phone, I was so embarrassed but she completely understood, even though it sounded like she enjoyed my discomfort. Also, she said she would send someone over who was in a similar situation as me. I would have never thought it would be you, Yaoyorozu, I wonder what she meant by-,"
But he was interrupted by her giggling. Momo had her hand over her mouth as she tried to keep her laughter muffled before shaking her head with a smile, shifting her eyes to him. "Midoriya, you're rambling."
"Eh? Oh, I am, aren't I?" Izuku let out a pathetic chuckle at one of his social flaws. "Sorry, this isn't a really good apology, is it?"
Momo let out a sigh as she placed her hand over her bosom, "It's more than sufficient. I know you're not like Mineta, and I can tell you need the help. I just wish you could have been honest with me, I would have understood."
"Y-Yeah, you're right. I was just really embarrassed when it was you that showed up."
"You were embarrassed? Imagine how I felt showing up at your place in a maid outfit."
They both laughed at the embarrassing situation they had the day before, as well as getting over the awkward moment they had this morning.
"Um, Yaoyorozu, do you want to eat lunch together?"
"Sure, Midoriya that sounds lovely."
"Great, I think we can still catch up with everyone else."
Momo tucked her loose strand of hair behind her ear, but as always it came undone just as quickly, fluttering along. "Actually, do you mind if we eat on the roof?"
"Huh? Sure, but I still have to buy lunch."
Momo clasped her schoolbag with both hands as she inhaled and exhaled, her shoulders raised and lowered. And then she tilted her head with a closed-eye smile. "Don't worry about that, I prepared a bento for you, Master!"
