My maid and lunch

The cherry blossom petals were scattering along with the delicate breeze.

There was a lily pad pond and a small garden on the roof. They were sitting on a bench next to each other as a few of the petals were able to flutter up to their view, meshing with the city skyline off in the distance, giving the scenery a blooming hue.

They were both blushing after what just happened before they headed up to the roof. Izuku had his hands scrunched over his lap as he trembled, waiting to receive the lunchbox she made. Momo's hands were fumbling through her school bag as she attempted to pull out the box but her fingers kept slipping as they jittered.

'Y-Yaoyorozu made me a lunchbox?! I-Isn't that something only reserved for boyfriends?! So why is she giving me one?!' Although he was going through a mental crisis, Izuku was also happy because he never thought Momo would do something maid-like during school, and yet she did something that could fall under that category, but it was also something that could fall under the girlfriend category. 'Ah! Stop stressing over this Izuku Midoriya! She's just being your maid, this is what you wanted right?' Except maybe he wanted more than that? 'Y-Yaoyorozu and I are just friends!'

'How could I even think about telling Izuku that I made him one?! Why did he have to go and apologize like that?! Doesn't he realize I was just caught up in the moment?!' Although she was going through an insecure situation, Momo was also relieved because she couldn't think of a way to give Izuku his lunch, and then Mineta's comments caused her to act rash, but then Midoriya reached out to her, simply to reassure her and it also created the opportunity for them to have lunch together. 'Get it together Momo! It shouldn't be this hard to hand over a lunchbox, you're supposed to be the faithful maid he can rely on, after all!' Although maybe there was another reason as to why she was struggling. 'Yes, I finally got it out!'

"H-Here you go, Midoriya."

"Th-Thanks, Yaoyorozu."

As she handed him the lunch box, his scarred, calloused hands accidentally clasped over her slender, porcelain fingers and it caused them to hesitate. Both of their hands pulled away bashfully, almost dropping the box, until he caught it along with her hands.

Their focus shifted away from the lunchbox, as they locked eye contact naturally. Both of their eyes grew because of the shy yet enamored expression on the other's face. A petal twinkled in between their faces. The gentle wind flowed, sweeping along the petal and her always loose strand of hair.

As the moment faded, Izuku had to gulp down his dry throat to recuperate while Momo held in a sigh before she exhaled through her nostrils, recomposing herself. He took the lunchbox from her and placed it on his lap.

"I hope it's to your liking."

"If it's anything close to your tea then it'll be great."

Momo giggled feeling the mood lighten up, "Don't be silly, tea is about how well it's prepared, while this also requires that, it also needs organization and culinary skill."

Izuku rolled his eyes with a chuckle, "Yeah, that just proves it's gonna be delicious."

"Eeip!" Momo almost held in that squeak. 'He did it again! He complimented me with such certainty before even trying my food. It was the same when he said I was a good maid before I even did anything. How is he always so sure?' And why was it so comforting to her?

Momo cleared her throat, hoping he didn't hear the sound she just made, as she pulled out her own lunchbox.

Izuku opened the lunchbox and a radiant light came forth!

'It's perfect!' Izuku didn't even know if he was drooling or crying as he stared at the carefully arrayed amount of food. 'I almost don't want to eat it because it looks like art. I bet she even made sure it had the right amount of varied nutrients.' Izuku finally decided to eat a piece. Shortly after, he had to rub his eyes as he said. "I am so thankful."

Momo had a sweat drop at his reaction because to her the food looked ordinary. "I hope you're not overreacting for my sake, well no matter, please enjoy," Yaoyorozu placed her lunchbox on her lap and it seemed as if she was about to join him but instead she reached into her schoolbag and pulled out her phone. "Midoriya, now that we have the time, do you want to come up with a schedule?"

"Huh?" Izuku raised his eyebrow at her. Why was she still in work mode? "Yaoyorozu, let's not worry about that."

"Pardon, but Midoriya organizing early on would be the most beneficial method."

"Yeah, but right now it's okay if we just sit here, too, right?"

Momo tilted her head as her eyelids grew heavy, "Just sit here, and do nothing?"

"Yeah."

She didn't know why but her eyelids were closing and they were getting harder to keep open with every blink. She couldn't remember the last time she simply did nothing. "Is... it... really... okay...?"

"Sure, why not? It's peaceful now, right?" But as he was finishing his sentence, a weight slumped against his shoulder, leaning on his arm. "Eh, Y-Yaoyorozu?" Izuku had completely stiffened because Momo had fallen asleep beside him. Her head was pressed against his shoulder and her hand had fallen limp on his lap. Her lunchbox and phone had fallen almost hitting the ground but he caught them with his quirk; blackwhip.

'What do I do? Yaoyorozu just fell asleep! Is this how it feels like when a cat sits on you and you just have to stay perfectly still as to not disturb them? If so, why doesn't it feel uncomfortable? This actually feels great! I'll just continue to use blackwhip to eat without bothering her.' Although Izuku was wondering what caused Momo to fall asleep.

And for the rest of lunch, Izuku enjoyed his meal, watching the cherry blossom scenery pass him by, remaining as still as possible, as to let his neko-maid sleep peacefully, despite not knowing how much she needed it.
