Chapter 5
"cutting it a little close, aren't we?" April scolded
"yeah, we um" Arizona smiled "sorry" looking down
"sorry, we over slept" Callie smiled "where should I"
"Nick" April said nodding to their bags, he came over taking them and went onto the bus
"do we really have to ride in that?" Arizona rolled her eyes
"yes, let's go, we are already behind schedule" April scolded again, pushing them towards the bus.
"wow, it's pretty cozy in here" Callie commented looking around
"yeah, this is just a rental, the other one was much better" Arizona said sitting on the couch "well make yourself comfortable, we got a long ride" she nodded to the spot next to her.
"you're not going to show me around?"
"what's there to show? Living room area where they will sleep" she nodded towards the band "bathroom is that door right there, just be careful tends to get a little smelly, with the guys" she laughed
"where do you sleep?" Callie asked looking around
"oh" Arizona laughed standing up reaching down to pick up their bags that Nick had put on the floor "back here" she went to the closed door "normally I'm in here with April, but since you're with she'll sleep out there" Arizona smiled. Callie took a look around, there was a queen size bed, tv, stereo, and everything Arizona could possibly need "it's like home away from home"
"cept it's not home" Arizona placed the bags down on the bed. "don't worry about unpacking or anything, we won't be on here for more than a couple days, at most. The driver will most likely get us to Denver by tonight"
"ok" Callie sat down on the bed "pretty comfy"
"it'll be even better with you wrapped in my arms" Arizona smiled, she'd never had a chance to have sex on the bus, Mark was always too busy to join her on tours. She sat down next to Callie "I never asked how the interview went"
"it went" Callie rolled her eyes
"think you got it?"
"I'm sure I did, your dad was all over it"
"well" Arizona stood "I'll be right back" Callie watched as she left the room coming back a minute later with a bottle of champagne "cause for celebration" she held up the bottle with two plastic cups "sorry these are the best I can do"
"you're so classy" Callie reached for the bottle popping the top open and pouring it.
"better hurry, once they smell alcohol they'll be in here" Arizona laughed as if on cue "do I smell? Oh champagne" Bruce smiled
"grab a cup" Arizona said reaching for the bottle then nodding for Callie to follow her out to the group
"to what are we celebrating?" Bruce asked not that he cared, as long as he got some
"Callie got a new job" Arizona smiled
"oh" Bruce smiled looking at Callie "congrats" he looked closer "are you sure that's what we are celebrating" he asked setting his cup down reaching for Callie's left hand "what do we have here?" Arizona could have sworn Callie turned 50 shades of red, which she had never saw before, she looked on with a smile, hearing Callie studder over her words. She leaned in whispering "get used to it baby, that's how they are" she kissed her cheek.
"I'm so excited you're engaged, I never thought this would happen" Bruce said in his girly voice "I always knew Arizona was gay, it just took the right girl to make it come out" he held Callie's hand up "you could have gone with something a little more girly though"
"I think it's perfect" Callie smiled "something I would have picked out for myself" Arizona smiled "ok stop gushing over her"
"I'm just so happy for you" Bruce squealed
"Bruce" Arizona said taking Callie's hand out of his.
"ok, ok" he smiled "congratulations"
"thank you" Callie smiled, Arizona wrapped her arms around her kissing her cheek
"here's to Arizona and Callie" Chad the base player held up his cup
"to Arizona and Callie" the others chimed in all raising their cups
"ok guys settle in, it's going to be a long ride to Denver" April said setting her cup down on the table "sorry this bus doesn't have all the amenities the other one did, but with Arizona not touring anymore"
"boo" the guys all hollered
"yeah, yeah chill out" Arizona said waving her hand in the air to brush them off
"as I was saying" April laughed "make yourself comfortable"
"I intend to" Arizona smiled pulling Callie back into the bedroom, slamming the door shut
"we aren't going to hang out with them?"
"you want to?" Arizona asked giving her a confused look
"sure, why not, they are your band, and best friend" Callie smiled
"I had other things in mind though" Arizona frowned
"let's go hang with them for a bit then" Callie leaned over kissing Arizona "we'll do your ideas" she pulled away smiling, opening the door.

After what seemed like an agonizing 12 plus hour ride they pulled up outside the hotel "wow" Callie smiled looking out the window "it's"
"amazing" Arizona smiled looking at her
"you're looking at me again"
"I know" Arizona kissed her cheek, reaching for their bags she met April coming out of the hotel handing her a key card "third floor room 307" Arizona nodded making her way inside the hotel, Callie not far behind.
"Teddy know we are here yet?"
"no, I figured I wait to text her until we got to the room" she smiled sliding the card. "but it's getting late, and I'm tired" she set the bags down on the bed.
"tired huh" Callie frowned "ok, I guess you don't want to" she went in to kiss Arizona's neck, softly, tickling it "oh I'm not too tired for that" Arizona reached around grabbing Callie by the waist and pushed her on the bed, climbing on top of her, she hovered just above her mouth "thank you for coming with me"
"you don't have to thank me" Callie smiled pulling Arizona down, into a slow passionate kiss they heard Arizona's phone go off. Callie groaned "every damn time"
"it's Teddy" Arizona laughed, knowing the ringtone, she reached into her pocket pulling out her phone "hello" she leaned down giving Callie another kiss, then sat back up to talk to her sister "are you here yet?"
"we just got to the hotel"
"good, I'm picking Addie up from work, do you want to have dinner?" Arizona looked at the clock, it was 8, then looking at Callie she smiled "have to"
"give her the phone" Teddy said
"guess she wants to talk to you" Arizona handed the phone to Callie, who smiled "hi Teddy"
"don't hi me, I'll be there to pick you guys up in 15 minutes be downstairs waiting"
"um, ok"
"I'll see you soon" Teddy said hanging up the phone, Callie brought the phone from her ear and stared at it "what did she say?"
"we're supposed to be downstairs in 15 minutes" Arizona smiled shaking her head, taking her phone from Callie "then we should go downstairs"
"ok" Callie smiled

"hey um, you should give me the ring or put it in your pocket" Arizona whispered
"why?"
"I don't want Teddy to know I already proposed"
"isn't she going to want to see the ring?"
"yes, but I was thinking" she smiled "we'd still do what she and I had planned, so I'll need the ring to do that"
"my god you two are complicated" Callie rolled her eyes,
"you knew what you were getting into" Arizona smiled kissing her cheek
"I'll just put it in my pocket for now" Callie said taking off the ring, putting it in the pocket of her jeans "don't want to lose it" Arizona smiled as Callie reached for her hand.

"she's not here yet, I'm going to have a smoke" Arizona said letting go of Callie's hand to reach for her smokes. She was getting tired of carrying a purse, so she started shoving everything she needed in the pockets of her jeans. Struggling to get the lighter out Callie laughed "maybe you should go back to carrying the suitcase"
"no, no, I got this" she smiled finally getting the lighter free "see" Callie shook her head, reaching for a cigarette. They no more than got the first drag off them, Teddy pulled up honking. "come on you can finish those in here" she called through the passenger side window. Arizona moved towards the car, opening the door for Callie, then she climbed in "I'm so glad you're here" Teddy said bouncing up and down in her seat
"yeah" Arizona rolled her eyes "so where are we going?"
"you'll love it" Addie turned around smiling "I took Teddy there on our first date"
"ok" Arizona smiled reaching for Callie's hand

"I figured we'd head to the mountains Saturday morning, if that works" Teddy said
"works for me" Callie smiled looking at Arizona
"I'm game as long as I don't have to drive" Arizona smiled taking a sip off her beer
"no worries there" Teddy smiled "I'm so glad you're here"
"yeah" Arizona looked up at her sister, she could tell she meant it, all the sudden it hit her she smiled "I am too" she reached across the table for Teddy's hand "believe it or not I miss you"
"I believe it" Teddy smiled
"where's the bathroom I have to pee" Callie asked looking around
"it's back there" Addie said pointing "oh I'll just show you, because now I have to go" she smiled as she stood, leaning down kissing Teddy on the cheek. Arizona smiled, she loved that her sister was happy, and they complemented each other well.
"alright now that they are gone, here's what I have planned" Teddy said leaning in so she didn't have to talk as loud, Arizona smiled as Teddy went into detail "did you decide if you're going to propose or not?"
"I did" Arizona smiled, that smile that told Teddy she didn't have to ask the next question.
"I can't wait to see the ring you picked"
"it's back at the hotel"
"I noticed you weren't carrying your suitcase, what happened finally forget it somewhere?" Teddy laughed
"no, I just got tired of carrying it" Arizona smiled, as Callie and Addie returned.

"you guys are probably tired, I'll let you go rest, what's the plan for tomorrow?" Teddy asked
"I got sound check, not sure what time" Arizona smiled
"well when you find out let me know" Teddy said, reaching out to give Arizona a hug "I'm sorry if I seem clingy I just miss you"
"I miss you too sissy" Arizona squeezed, as Teddy kissed her cheek "I'll talk to you tomorrow"
"ok" Teddy whispered sadly.

"your sister is acting a little" Callie mentioned once they were inside the hotel room
"I know, it's almost as if she's home sick"
"maybe she is, and having you here is bringing it out"
"maybe" Arizona sighed, looking at the clock, it was already midnight and she was beat, she quickly changed her clothes
"while you're doing your sound check tomorrow maybe I should hang out with her"
"if that's what you want to do" Arizona pulled back the blankets and climbed in.
"I'll get a hold of her in the morning" Callie said making herself comfortable, as Arizona found her way to her chest, Callie kissed the top of her head "good night I love you"
"hmmm love you" Arizona mumbled into her chest.

"Zo, you should try this" April said tossing her the wireless mic "you just hook it on your ear and you can move around the stage without having to hold the mic"
"hmm" Arizona said as she examined it "I'll try it" she said putting it on "it feels a little weird"
"I've heard it does until you get used to it" April smiled "just think you'll be able to move around playing guitar"
"that would be nice" Arizona reached for her guitar "now can we get on with this, I have to meet Teddy and Addie for dinner"
"ok" April smiled

"where am I going?" Arizona asked into the phone
"you're done?" Teddy asked
"yeah, thank god it took forever" Arizona sighed, the one part she hated about her job was setting up.
"ok, we're on our way"
"just tell me where to meet you, I'll get a ride"
"ok" Teddy said as she rattled off the address of the restaurant they were having dinner at "we'll be there in a bit"
"ok, tell my girl I love her"
"I will" Arizona heard the smile in Teddy's voice. Arizona hit the end button on her phone, finding the driver of the car that was waiting for her she gave him the address, she climbed in. Taking a deep breath, laying her head back on the head rest, closing her eyes, she could feel the start of a headache coming on. Hoping she can keep it where it was at right now, but she didn't foresee that happening. As they were pulling up outside the restaurant she got a text from Callie

Smiling she looked up from her phone seeing them standing outside the door, she gave her thanks to the driver, with a smile and got out. It didn't take long before Callie was in her arms. This was what she needed, as she took a deep breath smelling Callie's shampoo and body spray. She had to hold back a moan. Callie pulled back, looking Arizona in the eye. "you have a headache don't you?" Arizona nodded, she didn't know rather to be weirded out by the fact that Callie knew what was going on before she told her, or to love it. "well, lucky for you I brought some of your pills with" she smiled digging through the bag she brought.
"now who's carrying a suitcase" Arizona laughed
"only because we are here, and it's not a suitcase, it's a backpack, well a mini backpack, you know in case I buy something" Callie smiled handing Arizona her pills
"well thanks baby" Arizona kissed her, taking them
"I made a reservation" Teddy smiled "well Addie did" Arizona couldn't help but smile as she watched Teddy take Addie's hand. She did the same, as they entered the restaurant
"hi, reservation for Addison Montgomery" Addie smiled at the cute hostess
"right this way" she smiled back, looking at the group she noticed Arizona and got star struck. Once at the table she stuttered at saying the waitress name who was going to be serving them. Arizona laughed as Callie pulled the chair back for her, watching Teddy do the same for Addie.
"I'm going to have to sign some autographs and most likely pose for pictures" Arizona smiled looking around, she saw everyone realizing who she was.
"what's wrong with that?" Addie asked with a smile
"nothing, I love interacting with the fans" Arizona smiled back, reaching for her water to take the pills Callie handed her earlier
"shall we get some wine?" Teddy asked reaching for the wine list
"no I can't, not with taking those pills" Arizona frowned "but you guys go ahead I'll just have a pop"
"you sure?" Teddy looked at her sister, Arizona nodded, she felt Callie's hand on her leg under the table, "I'll be good for this weekend though"
"what are we doing anyway?" Callie asked trying to play dumb, after the fight they had back home, and Arizona told her what the plans were she needed to ask the right questions so Teddy wouldn't know they were already engaged.
"um" Teddy smiled looking at Addie "it's a surprise"
"ok"

"this feels so good" Arizona said laying down on the bed
"well don't get too comfy, I want to go sit in the hot tub for a minute"
"ok a minute" Arizona laughed sitting up
"really Zona, it'll help your head"
"ugh" she plopped back down sighing "I suppose it would"
"and I need to have you nice and relaxed"
"I know what would make me relax" Arizona reached out for her
"Arizona no" Callie squealed trying and failing at moving out of arms reach, next thing she knew she was hovering over Arizona, getting lost in the blue orbs. "I really want to go sit in the hot tub" she said now in a whisper, she was finding it hard to breathe.
"I know" Arizona smiled reaching behind Callie's neck to pull her into a kiss, brushing her tongue on Callie's lower lip, asking for entrance. Getting locked in a dueling match, with their tongues, Callie pulled back when the need for oxygen over powered anything else. "ugh" she moaned, Arizona reached up putting her hair behind her ears "as much as I want to ravage you right now, I really want to go to the hot tub"
"I know" Arizona smiled "let's go"

The crowd was deafening, Arizona couldn't hear herself think let alone April who was going on about something. She really was ready to be done with this part of her life, after the accident she couldn't do it anymore. Taking a deep breath as she entered the stage, a smile on her face, she couldn't see anything or anyone, the lights were so bright. She said a few things to the crowd, then began singing. Finishing her set list, she finally found Callie in the crowd, right up front, alongside Teddy and Addie. Finally finishing her last song, she smiled, said her good night, and headed off the stage. "that was amazing" April smiled once she was back in the dressing room.
"If you say so" Arizona sighed plopping down in the chair
"I do"
"when's the next show?" Arizona asked
"Tuesday in Atlanta"
"great" Arizona laid her head back on the chair. Sighing deeply, she couldn't help but smile when she heard Teddy's voice "good you're done come on we got a trip to go on" Arizona smiled "April you remember Teddy, and this is her girl Addie"
"hello" April reached out her hand to shake Addie's
"hi" Addie smiled, Arizona stood up going over to Callie, taking her in her arms, Callie leaned in kissing her. "eww get a room" Teddy laughed
"we good here" Arizona said looking at April
"yeah go, I'll take care of cleaning up, but the next show it's all on you" April winked
"ok, thank you" Arizona smiled "I'll see you in Atlanta" Arizona leaned down picking up her bag and coat, reached for Callie's hand and headed towards the door
"be there by Monday for sound check" April called after her
"yes mom" Arizona called back

"alright we'll see you at 8" Teddy said pulling up outside the hotel
"ugh" Arizona sighed
"it's fine Teddy, we'll meet you out front at 8" Callie said
"alright have a good night"
"good night" Addie smiled from the driver's seat
"yeah" Arizona said slamming the door
"do you have to be so mean to your sister"
"she knows I don't mean it" Arizona leaned over kissing Callie's cheek "come on, I need to get out of these sweaty clothes" she reached for Callie's hand as they made their way through the hotel lobby.

"you know" Arizona said sitting on the bed in just a towel "I'm gonna need the ring"
"oh my god the ring" Callie exclaimed putting her hand to her mouth, Arizona looked at her with a look of shock, "you didn't"
"you're the one who made me take it off"
"I know but you could have given it to me to keep in a safe place, you know how you lose shit all the time" Arizona started to go off on her, Callie walked over to the dresser, then to the bed, pushing Arizona back and climbing on top of her "relax baby, I was fucking with you" she showed Arizona the ring, slid it on her finger "it'll be safe there" Arizona reached up pulling Callie down into a kiss. Which once again prompted them into making love for most the night. Leaving Arizona tired and crabby the next morning. "what the hell is your problem" Teddy asked once Arizona and Callie had gotten into the car.
"she didn't get much sleep" Callie blushed
"well maybe if you'd leave each other alone you'd get more sleep" Teddy laughed as she pulled away from the hotel.
"whatever" Arizona grunted pulling down her sunglasses "how long until we're there?"
"about an hour" Addie smiled "you're going to love it, the view is fucking amazing" she sang the last part causing Callie to laugh
"whatever, I'm taking a nap, wake me up when we get there"
"shit you'd think she'd be in a better mood since she got some last night"
"shut it sissy" Arizona snarled
"just saying" Teddy said causing the car to erupt in a laugh. Callie leaned back in the seat, Arizona leaned over placing her head on Callie's shoulder, and nodded off. Callie moved her arm so she could wrap it around Arizona, noticing she forgot to take off the ring, she quickly slides it off, and slid it in her pocket. Hoping Teddy didn't notice she was wearing it.

"you can wake her up, we're almost there" Teddy said as they turned down a small dirt road that looked to Callie to lead to nowhere. She looked down at the sleeping form that was laying on her chest, "baby" she whispered leaning down kissing Arizona's forehead "baby, wake up" Arizona opened her eyes looking directly into Callie's. All the annoyance she had earlier was gone, as a smile crept across her face. "hi" Callie whispered "have a good nap"
"mmhmm" Arizona nodded and sat up in her seat
"alright here we are" Teddy said pulling into a drive way, both Callie and Arizona looked out the window, seeing a gigantic house, beautifully decorated, with flowers and trimmed hedges. "wow" Callie said
"one of the doctors I work with owns it" Addie smiled as she opened the door to climb out of the car. "there's some four wheelers in the garage, and a pool out back, with a hot tub. The kitchen should be fully stocked"
"Miss Montgomery so good to see you again" an older woman came out
"it's good to see you too, Mrs. Jones, this is Teddy's sister"
"Arizona Robbins, my granddaughter is a big fan" she smiled "and I have to say, although I shouldn't admit it I am too"
"this is my girlfriend Callie" Arizona smiled
"fiancé" Callie muttered under her breath causing Arizona to laugh
"well do come in" Mrs. Jones smiled, she saw Arizona head for the trunk to grab the bags "oh you can leave them dear, Collin, will grab them"
"wow" Arizona smiled heading towards the house.
"the bedrooms are upstairs, take whatever one you want" Addie smiled
"there's only 8 of them" Teddy laughed "but the big one is ours" she winked
"ok" Callie smiled reaching for Arizona's hand, following Addie and Teddy up the stairs, the view was amazing, Callie wondered what it would look like in the winter when the mountains were snow covered. Letting go of Arizona's hand so she could stare out the window. Lost in the beauty, of the scenery she didn't hear Arizona come up behind her, wrapping her arms around her, Arizona kissed her cheek, Callie leaned back into her. "it's so beautiful"
"it is" Arizona smiled "I picked our room"
"ok" Callie said finally turning away from the window
"I think you'll love it" Arizona pulled her down the hallway, to the first door on the right. The room was huge, with a king-sized bed, and fireplace, but what Callie loved most, was the picture window that showed the view she was just looking at. "good choice"
"thank you" Callie turned around kissing Arizona.
"excuse me Miss Robbins, Miss Torres, I'm Collin" they turned around seeing a man in his early 60's, at Callie's best guess "I'm just bringing your bags" he smiled
"thank you" Callie said moving to grab them
"Mrs. Jones wanted me to tell you that lunch will be ready in an hour"
"thank you" Callie smiled, he nodded and turned to leave "he was nice"
"I can't believe this place" Arizona looked around "baby, we've even got our own bathroom, this is better than any hotel I've stayed in"
"right" Callie laughed, sitting on the bed "damn"
"comfy?" Arizona turned to look
"mm" Callie leaned out to grab Arizona "why don't you come see for yourself" she pulled her down on the bed. Arizona had her head on Callie's chest "well the pillows are pretty cozy"
"dork" Callie smiled placing her hands-on Arizona's face "come here" she whispered pulling her in for a kiss. They were in the middle of a tongue battle when they heard Teddy clear her throat. Arizona pulled back, smiling she looked at her sister "hi"
"well I'm happy your mood has changed, I think lunch is almost ready, after I'd like to take a walk" Arizona looked at Callie, then climbed off her, reaching down to grab her hand to pull her up, Callie laughed and said "lead the way"

"hey" Arizona said pulling Teddy back "are you?"
"no, not today, I have it all set for tomorrow, I do want to" Teddy stopped looking back to see if Addie was coming "I want to show you the ring" she nodded for Arizona to follow her upstairs. "did you decide what you are doing?" Arizona nodded with a smile, reached into her pocket and pulled the ring out "nice" Teddy said taking it "you've changed your mind so much I wasn't sure what the final verdict was"
"well" Arizona smiled "I decided" Teddy cut her off, "you already asked her didn't you?"
"well, um, it kind of just sort of happened, I had the ring on my dresser, which I forgot about, I went downstairs because I thought I heard mom come home, it ended up being Callie" Arizona sighed "we went out, and when we got back I forgot about it, she saw it and well"
"Arizona, sometimes you're so dumb" Teddy laughed "what did she say?"
"well she's here with me" Arizona shrugged
"but you have the ring"
"only because I didn't want you to be mad that it already happened" Arizona frowned thinking about the fight they had.
"what's with that face" Teddy asked
"there was a fight, Callie left, she said she wasn't ready to get married"
"but she's here now"
"yeah, it's probably going to be a long engagement" Arizona smiled
"either way, you love her, she loves you, blah blah blah" Teddy smiled "oh the reason we came up here in the first place" she reached for her bag, unzipping the secret compartment and pulled out the ring, which ironically looked pretty similar to the one Arizona had. "nice" Arizona smiled
"guess great minds think alike" Teddy laughed as she shoved it back into her bag "safe keeping until tomorrow"
"I hope she says yes" Arizona laughed
"why wouldn't she?" Teddy looked at her, the realization of Addie saying no finally popped into her mind
"I'm just fucking with you, she'll say yes, there's no doubt that woman loves you" Arizona said taking her sister in her arms.

"I think Teddy is planning on proposing" Addie said once Arizona and Teddy left the room
"what makes you think that?" Callie asked, she had to some how keep the fact that she knew what was going on out of the tone of her voice
"well" Addie looked back "she's been acting weird all week, and now"
"weird? Isn't that how Teddy acts all the time?"
"yes, but not like this" Addie laughed
"how do you feel about that?"
"about what?"
"Teddy proposing" Callie smiled taking a drink "like would you say yes"
"god yes" Addie smiled "the one thing I've always wanted is to find someone as amazing as Teddy, and now that I did, there's nothing in this world that would keep me from becoming her wife" Callie couldn't help but smile the Robbins girls were both amazing, yes Arizona was still getting used to the fact that she's a lesbian but in her circumstances who wouldn't. "what would you say if Arizona asked you"
"um" this was the part Callie was hard at, keeping the truth out of the conversation "well"
"she already did, didn't she?" Addie asked searching Callie's hand for a ring
"well, um, the answer should be no, but"
"oh my god" Addie sat up excitedly as she went on, about having a double wedding.

"you gonna give that back to her? You know since I know now" Teddy asked on their way down the stairs
"I don't know, was just going to hold on to it until tomorrow, I have a speech planned and" Arizona was stopped midsentence when they heard Addie's screech from the dining room.
"well looks like she knows now too" Teddy laughed knowing the sounds Addie made.
"yeah" Arizona laughed
