Chapter 11
"ugh" Addie says plopping down on the big armchair
"what's up?" Arizona asks looking up from the pile of papers in her hands, she and April had decided to work from the house today. Addie just let out another groan shaking her head "interview not go good?" Arizona asks
"no" Addie shook her head "apparently the laws are different here then they are in Colorado and I have to take the nursing test again"
"hmm" Arizona says looking at April who shrugged her shoulders "you didn't know that?"
"no" Addie let's out a giggle "I actually thought I could just apply and get it"
"so take the test again" Arizona says
"I honestly don't want to, it was hell the first time, and I had just finished the classes for it" she sighs
"so what are you going to do?"
"ugh, I don't know, but I need to find something, my savings is down to almost nothing and I can't expect Teddy to carry my ass"
"she would"
"oh I know she would, but I don't want her to" Addie sighs
"you know" April says "Arizona and I could use an assistant"
"we could?" Arizona asks looking at her friend
"I've been meaning to talk to Brad about that, it would make our lives easier" April says
"guess it would" Arizona looks at Addie
"what does that have to do with me?" Addie asks "I know nothing about the music business"
"you don't need to know anything about it, you'd just be there to get coffee for Arizona and I" April smiles
"so I'd essentially be your bitch" Addie laughs
"and getting paid for it" April says
"guess it's something" Addie shrugs
"great, I'll call Brad" she says groaning as she stood up from the floor "old ladies shouldn't sit on the floor like that"
"I don't think it's the floor that's making you hurt like that" Arizona laughs
"shut it" April laughs picking up her phone and walking into the other room. Hearing the door open and close Arizona turns to Addie "you're my bitch"
"not yet" Addie laughs
"hey what do you think about me putting in a recording room downstairs"
"I think, you do what you want it's your house"
"no it's OUR house, we did this together" Arizona says
"no, Zo, you're the one who put up the money, shit I don't even got a job right now, so do what you want" they hadn't told Callie or Teddy but Arizona was the one who paid for the house. "and honestly it kind of shocked me that you took the basement"
"it's what Callie wanted" Arizona shrugged
"I think she just did that because no one was speaking up" Addie says
"probably" Arizona smiled "but hey she's getting exactly what she wants out of it so all's good" Addie nodded, taking a deep breath, the door opens and April comes in, this time taking a seat on the couch, not saying anything "is everything alright?" Arizona asks
"oh yeah" April smiles "you start tomorrow"
"tomorrow?" Addie asks
"is that too soon?" April asks looking between the two
"no, no tomorrow is great" she smiles "thank you"
"no problem" April gave her a half smile
"um, something wrong?" Arizona asks seeing the look on her friend's face
"well, he um, first I got chewed out because neither one of us were there, when I explained we were working from here, he let that go, then he started going off about" she stops "never mind you don't want to hear it"
"now you have to tell me" Arizona says
"when was the last time you recorded anything?" she asks
"um" Arizona thinks about it "my last album came out over a year ago" she says "shit" her shoulders slump, then she looked up and into April's eyes "I'm not going on tour"
"no, no tour" April says "he agreed you were done with that, but he does want you to put on a concert around here, and another album, and then there's rock fest"
"rock fest? What's that?" Addie asked
"it's a weekend long concert, where a lot of different artist and groups come together" Arizona says "people usually camp, and drink"
"and have orgy's" April says causing everyone to laugh "what it's true"
"I believe you" Arizona laughs
"anyway he wants to put you on the roster for next year"
"that's do able" Arizona says "it's not far from home and by then maybe Callie will be able to take the time off"
"when is it?" Addie asks
"um, it's usually like the end of May or something" April says "maybe the beginning of June, I'd have to look"
"that's pretty close to the wedding" Addie says
"we'll figure it out" April says, noting the time "I'm going to head out, Jackie is getting off work soon, and I want to"
"have lots of sex" Arizona laughs
"yeah that" April says shaking her head
"I'm happy that's working out for you"
"I am too, she's great" April smiles, Arizona could see the glazed overlook in her eyes "April, are you falling for her?"
"I" she starts to say "yes" she smiles
"good" Arizona smiles "why don't you come back for dinner, Callie and Teddy will be home by 5"
"you're cooking?" April asks
"no, I was going to" she looks at Addie, and smiles showing her dimples "I'll cook" Addie smiles
"ok" April says packing away her papers and laptop "so I'll be back at what time"
"whenever" Addie smiles
"alright" April nods then swings her bag over her shoulder making her way to the door
"oh and bring wine" Addie calls after her, Arizona laughs "what? We're out" Arizona shook her head "so what am I making?"
"um" Arizona started to laugh "I don't know"
"well come on let's find something"
Xxxxxxxxx
"Lucy I'm home" Callie called out once the front door was shut
"kitchen" Arizona called back, Callie placed her keys on the side table and made her way into the kitchen "something smells good, so I know Addie is cooking"
"hey" Arizona said giving her fiancée a pout, Callie laughed, making her way to Arizona placing a kiss on her lips "hi"
"hmm, hi" Arizona hummed
"smells amazing" Callie said closing her eyes as her stomach growled "but why so much?"
"April and Jackie are coming for dinner" Addie said as she flipped a piece of chicken in the pan
"oh" Callie said looking at her soon to be wife
"mmhmm" Arizona hummed and nodded, Callie leaned in giving Arizona another kiss, "how was working from home today?"
"good" Arizona smiled "Addie got a job today"
"oh yeah?" Callie turned to look at the other woman who was busy trying to get a piece of chicken unstuck from the pan "for as much as we paid for these pans you would have thought they'd be nonstick"
"did you use any spray?" Callie asked,
"no, but I used an ass ton of butter" Addie said finally getting the piece unstuck "finally, and I didn't even wreck it"
"score one for you master chef" Arizona laughs
"chicken always gets stuck for me no matter what" Callie says, watching Addie place a lid over the pan and turn down the heat "so what hospital did you get a job at?"
"no hospital, I'm done nursing" Addie says reaching for a towel
"she's going to be my bitch" Arizona smiled
"I thought I was your bitch" Callie asked, faking a pout
"you're my bitch at home, she's my bitch at the office" Arizona smiled
"who is your bitch?" Teddy asked coming into the room
"Addie's going to be my bitch" Arizona laughed at how many times they used the word.
"Callie's yours" Teddy said leaning in giving Addie a kiss
"we just went through this" Callie laughed
"I got a job as Arizona and April's assistant" Addie says
"ah now I understand" Teddy smiles "why so much food?" she asked looking at the stove.
"April and Jackie are coming for dinner" Callie says she was now sitting on a stool next to Arizona.
"oh cool" Teddy smiles looking around the room "when will they be here?"
"soon I think" Arizona shrugged as the doorbell rang, and the door opened.
"I brought wine" April calls out "lots of wine" she makes her way into the kitchen placing a bag on the table. With what looked like 10 or so bottles of wine, and Arizona noted it wasn't the cheap stuff. "someone's getting drunk tonight" Callie laughs
"that's the plan" April laughs "no you guys said you were out so I just figured" she reaches into the bag and starts pulling out bottles "house warming present" Addie wipes off her hands and picks up a bottle "April this stuff wasn't cheap"
"no, no it wasn't, but you guys deserve the best" she smiles
"thanks" Arizona smiled, looking at her other guest "hi Jackie, come on in and make yourself at home, you remember my sister Teddy and Addie?" Arizona reached for Callie's hand and Callie"
"I do" Jackie smiled
"dinner still has a bit, I still have to put it in the oven, why don't you all go into the living room" Addie says as she busies herself with the food.
"she just wants us out of her hair" Teddy laughs "I'm gonna go change to something a little more comfortable" she kisses Addie on the cheek and leaves, Callie wasn't far behind her.
Xxxxxxxxx
"so just come in with Arizona tomorrow, and we'll get you all situated" April says sitting back in her chair.
"ok" Addie smiles "um, what should I wear"
"business casual" Arizona says
"I'm going to have to go shopping" Addie giggles "all I mostly own are scrubs"
"why" Jackie giggles
"I'm a nurse"
"then why are you going to be working with them?" Jackie asked confused
"because of stupid laws and stupid tests" Teddy looks at her confused, she takes a deep breath "apparently every state is different, and for me to be a nurse here, in Wisconsin, I'd have to take the nursing test again"
"why don't you" Teddy asked a little confused, Addie loved being a nurse "because I barely passed that test 10 years ago, there's no way I'd pass it now"
"hmm, well ok" Teddy smiles "whatever makes you happy baby" she leans in kissing her
"you're what makes me happy" Addie smiles
"that's so cute" Jackie giggles "thank you guys for inviting me"
"anytime" Arizona smiles looking at Callie, who reached for her hand bringing it up to her mouth and kissing the back of it. As blue eyes locked on brown, Arizona could see all the love Callie had for her. She hoped her eyes said the same, when Callie smiled that smile that Arizona knew to be only for her, she felt the butterflies in her stomach start to flutter. "Addie you can just go through my closet, I'm sure you'll find something" Arizona says. Someone's phone pings with a notification.
"we should probably get going" April says looking at the time on her phone "thank you for dinner, it was" she pauses "amazing"
"anytime" Addie smiles, as Arizona stood to walk April and Jackie to their car.
"you cooked I'll do the dishes" Teddy says standing up taking what dishes were still on the table to the kitchen
"I'll help" Callie says following her.
"oh, ok" Addie shrugged, reaching for her wine glass.
Xxxxxxx
"so" Callie says turning on the water
"so" Teddy repeats her words
"have you given any more thought to contacting your" she stops not sure how to reference the lady that crashed their party. She heard Teddy let out a deep sigh "yes and no"
"hmm" Callie hummed as she rinsed a plate placing it in the dishwasher.
"I mean I'd like to know the story, but at the same time I don't know if" she stops looking at Callie, who gave her a sad smile "I understand"
"I just, I don't know"
"well like Arizona said, you didn't have her before so"
"right" Teddy nods, nothing more was said as the two worked in silence filling the dishwasher, Callie placed the last dish in there and shut it, pressing the buttons to turn it on Teddy says "did you put the soap in there?"
"huh?" Callie looks at the blonde confused
"soap, it needs soap" Teddy smiled
"oh right" Callie laughed and went under the sink to grab a gel pack.
"and they say I'm the blonde"
"shut up" Callie laughs pushing the buttons again

Noting the time Arizona saw it wasn't even 9, when she heard Callie and Teddy come into the living room where she and Addie had ended up after April had left. "so" Teddy said plopping down on the couch next to Addie, Callie on Arizona's lap, in the big armchair. "Callie didn't know the dishwasher needed soap"
"I did too" Callie protests
"then why did you try to run it without the soap?"
"because I was thinking about something" Callie said trying to hide in the crook of Arizona's neck.
"oh?" Addie says looking at her "what were you thinking about?"
"nothing" Callie let out in a huff "my mind was else wear, and I forgot the damn soap"
"hmm yeah ok" Teddy laughs
"Addie do you have something to wear tomorrow?" Arizona asks
"yeah I'm good for tomorrow, I'll just go shopping after work"
"ok" Arizona smiles the foursome is quiet, Arizona rubbing circles on Callie's back. "so I think I'm going to get ahold of my aunt" Teddy blurts out, causing all of them to look at her
"are you sure baby?" Addie asks reaching for her hand
"yeah, I mean, what's the worst that can happen" Teddy shrugs, Addie gives her hand a reassuring squeeze "Zo will you come with me, if I set up a meeting?"
"I already told you I would" Arizona says meeting her sister's eyes, she could see the doubt in them, but didn't say anything, this was Teddy's decision to make not hers.
"I'll call her tomorrow" Teddy sighs laying her head back on the couch.
"babe you ready for bed" Callie asks
"yeah" Arizona replies
"we're headed there too" Addie says looking at Teddy, who nodded.
Xxxxxxxxxx
"so" Callie says climbing into bed "Addie's really going to be your assistant?"
"I guess so, April set it all up" Arizona shrugged
"won't that be weird?"
"I don't know, maybe" Arizona said
"Jackie is nice"
"hmm"
"think Teddy will call that lady?"
"who knows" Arizona shrugs, making herself comfortable.
"well goodnight" Callie says reaching over to turn off the lamp, it didn't take Arizona long before she was on Callie's chest, Callie reached up running a hand through Arizona's hair. "I love you" Arizona lifted up her head, with the dim light of the moon coming through the window Callie could barely see Arizona's eyes "I love you too" Arizona whispers, then leans in placing her lips on Callie's. Running her tongue over her bottom lip, like she always does, asking for entrance to Callie's mouth. When Callie grants it, and their tongues touch they both let out a moan. Not breaking the kiss Arizona moves so she was on top of Callie. Only breaking the kiss when their lungs needed air. Arizona took that opportunity to rip off her shirt, tossing it to the floor. Now straddling Callie, she saw Callie smile "you like"
"I more than like" Callie's hands reached up to cup each of Arizona's breasts. Her thumb running over an erect nipple. Arizona let out a moan, "that feels so good" Callie leaned up taking a nipple in her mouth hearing Arizona let out another moan, softly bit it, then ran her tongue to sooth the ache, kissing her way to the other breast she repeated her actions on it. She could feel her own arousal strengthen with every lick and suck. "I need you" Callie whispered
"you're wearing too many clothes" Arizona said moving off Callie so they could both remove the last of their clothing. When their bodies met again, both in the nude, it was Callie's turn to let out a moan. As Arizona pushed her down on the bed, and kissed her way down Callie's perfect body. "god you're gorgeous" Arizona whispered
"stop"
"no really, I don't think I tell you that enough" Arizona said she could see Callie's face turn red "will you stop talking and fuck me"
"you want me to fuck you?" Arizona asked raising a brow
"yes" Callie bucked, trying to get a little friction, Arizona let out a giggle, and reached for Callie's right leg, placing it on her shoulder. Callie's musky scent invading her nostrils as she took a deep breath, mouth watering at the thought of what she was about to taste. Up until being with Callie, Arizona hadn't ever thought she'd be doing this. When Teddy would come home after nights out with her dates, in Arizona's opinion she'd go into too many details as Teddy explained what it was like to go down on a woman. Arizona remembered thinking she'd never do that, but here she was, Callie's glorious center right in front of her, and she couldn't get enough. She took one long lick, hearing Callie's moan she smiled and focused on the sensitive nub. With the free hand she stuck two fingers inside, hearing Callie again "god yes, just like that" she pumped her hand, while switching between licking and sucking on Callie's clit. Feeling Callie's walls began to tighten she curled her fingers, just the way she knew Callie loved, and sucked hard on the throbbing member in her mouth. "oh god yes, ARIZONA!" Callie called out, as she fell back on to the bed. Arizona gently removed her fingers, then moved Callie's leg off her shoulder, then crawled up the now limp body, on the bed. They shared a kiss, as Arizona laid her head on Callie's chest "just give me a minute" Callie said breathing heavy.
"no rush" Arizona whispered, listening to the sound of Callie's heart beat slow down to normal. Callie reached up running her fingers through Arizona's hair, in a gesture so relaxing, both women fell asleep.
Xxxxxxxxxxxx
"good morning Susan" Arizona smiled as she and Addie made their way through the small lobby. "oh" she stopped "Susan this is Addison, she is mine and April's new assistant, Addie this is Susan the receptionist" she watched as the two women shook hands. They've met in passing before but nothing formal. Arizona led Addie down the hall, stopping at the shut door, digging in her bag for her keys. "this is obviously my office"
"I've been here before" Addie chuckles
"I know" Arizona giggled opening the door. "just set your bag over there, I don't know what April has planned for you just yet, so I guess" Arizona looked around, "hang out here"
"ok" Addie set her bag in the corner of the office and sat down in one of the chairs Arizona had for guests.
"ugh" Arizona groaned as she plopped down in her desk chair, reaching for her phone. "hey we're here" she said once the call connected
"great on my way" April says a little too chipper for the blonde, she hung up the phone, and looked at Addie "she'll be here in a minute" Addie nodded looking around.
Xxxxxxxxxx
"Callie Torres" Callie said into the phone, surprising herself when she answered it correctly
"hello Ms. Torres, this is Diane Willis, we talked a while back"
"oh right, the interview"
"sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, its been rather hectic around here lately. Is now a good time?" Callie looked around her little office area, noting the time she still had a half hour before she had to go on "as long as it doesn't take more than a half hour I have time" she laughed.
"when would be a good time?" she asked
"um, if you could call me back after 1, I should be free"
"alright I will call back then, thank you"
"thank you" Callie shook her head as she hung up the phone, looking around her desk, her eyes landed on a picture of her and a certain blonde, both smiling, in the background were the mountains, the picture was taken when they were in Colorado. Her mind wandering back to that trip, she was lost in memories when Barbara came up. "you ready to go dear"
"huh? What?" Callie could feel her face turn red
"it's time to go on" Barbara laughed
"oh right" Callie let out a giggle, pushed her chair back and stood, following her soon to be mother in law to the news desk. Taking her seat behind the news desk, Daniel did the countdown and they were live.

Arizona was walking through the lobby, and just happened to look up at the tv. A smile on her face at seeing the love of her life, standing in front of a map. Her heartwarming at hearing Callie's voice. "you can put the umbrella's away for the next few days as a high has taken up residence with us for the duration of this week. Temps look to be in the mid 80's with mild dew points, perfect for outdoor plans. Just make sure you have the sunscreen if you head to the lake"
"I'll make sure to have mine" a voice off camera says, Arizona smiled when the camera zoomed out and she saw her mother and fiancée in the same frame. "she sure is a beautiful woman" Arizona heard a females voice behind her
"what?" she asked, turning her head she saw a blonde woman, who looked to be around Arizona's age
"Callie Torres, she's hot as hell" the woman said again
"oh, I thought you were talking about my mom" Arizona giggled
"that woman is your mom?" the blonde looks at the screen again, then back at Arizona "oh I see it now" she laughed, then held out her hand "I'm Erica Hahn"
"Arizona Robbins" she said shaking her hand
"I thought I recognized you" Erica smiles
"well you are in my place of employment" Arizona says looking around, there were posters all over the lobby, of artist, and groups they've signed over the years.
"Arizona, I see you've met our newest manager" Brad says walking up to the two of them
"yeah she was just telling me how hot she thought the weather lady was" Arizona says looking at Brad
"I actually know her" the blonde smiled
"oh" Arizona turned her attention to Erica "how's that?"
"we dated for awhile back when we were teenagers, my dad got a job in Texas so we moved, I think we would have stayed together if we hadn't of moved"
"hmm" Arizona hums biting the inside of her mouth trying not to go off on this woman she had just met.
"I was hoping to track her down, now that I'm back in town" Erica kept right on going "I went to her house, but no one answered"
"that's because she moved" Arizona said under her breath, Brad let out a chuckle "Arizona is there something you should be doing? I don't know, like work?"
"I was just" Arizona started to say but stopped, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath "heading back to my office" she said and headed towards the hallway, turning around giving this Erica one last look before she disappeared. Once in her office she sat down in her chair with a huff. "what's up your bum" Addie says looking up from the make shift desk they had set up in the corner of Arizona's office.
"Callie has an ex" Arizona growled
"don't we all?" Addie said taking her glasses off
"apparently, Callie's ex is now working here"
"and" Addie asked not understanding the problem
"and she has no idea about me"
"so tell her" Addie laughs
"I was walking through the lobby and the news was on, I stopped to watch it and she just came up telling me all about how she and Callie used to date when they were teenagers, they broke up because she moved, and now she's hoping to get back in touch with her"
"and you're worried?" Addie asked
"should I be?"
"no" Addie giggled "Callie is so in love with you Arizona, no one could take her away"
"let's hope you're right" Arizona sighed as she picked up her phone, she opened the message app, opening up the conversation with Callie 'hey babe, if you're done before 5 will you swing by the office?'~ A she sent the message and set her phone back down on her desk. To her surprise it went off 'sure, do you need anything? I should be done by 2~ C. Arizona smiled as she typed out her reply and set her phone down. "I don't know why I just did that" she groaned
"did what?" Addie asked, causing Arizona to jump, she forgot that Addie was there "I just asked Callie to come in"
"maybe she and said ex will run into each other"
"ugh" Arizona groaned putting her head in her hands
"hey, it's better to get it done with now" Addie said, Arizona looked up when she heard Addie's voice get closer "come on, let's go scope this chick out"
"I already got yelled at by Brad for not working"
"we'll say you're showing me around" Addie smiles "come on"
Xxxxxxxxxxxx
Callie sat at her desk, going over graphics for tomorrows show, when her desk phone rang "Callie Torres" she smiled giving herself a mental high five for answering it correctly "Ms. Torres, it's Diane Willis again"
"right" she clicked a few things on her computer saving what she was working on, once this call was done she was leaving for the day. "what can I do for you" she asked sitting back in her chair. As the questions started coming "you're engaged to Arizona Robbins?"
"I am yes" she smiled thinking about the blue eyed blonde
"how did you two meet?"
"well" Callie took a deep breath her eyes finding the picture of the two of them she had on her desk "as you know Arizona was in an accident"
"yes 2 years ago" Diane said
"yes, well, my dad and I were in the accident also, and when Arizona was told there was a car involved, she sent her sister Teddy, to come find me and make sure I was ok"
"that's sweet"
"yeah" Callie smiled "we got to know each other while we were both in the hospital, but once I was released, I didn't see her again, until she put on a concert here in Madison" Callie's smile grew as she told the story "she sent her manager out with a note wanting me to meet her back stage after the show, from there we went to dinner, and well"
"she was engaged before? To a man?" Diane asked Callie let out a groan, and sighed "yes she was"
"so essentially you broke up the engagement?" she knew this was coming taking a deep breath "no I didn't break up anything, by the time Arizona and I met again, at that concert, the relationship she was previously in was over" by this point Callie had had enough of those questions, rolling her eyes she tried to keep her tone professional knowing it was Arizona's career she would be messing with if she were to get rude with the lady. Finally after and agonizing half hour, she hung up the phone letting out a deep sigh. Making sure her computer was off and her desk half ways organized, she stood and made her way out of the studio.
Xxxxxxxx
"you think she always has that look on her face" Addie asked once they were back in Arizona's office
"what look?"
"like someone kicked her puppy" Addie laughed
"oh" Arizona chuckled "I don't know"
"I really don't think you have anything to worry about, let Callie see her and she can be the one to break it to her that the two of you are engaged"
"why do you think she never mentioned her before?"
"have you told her about all your ex's?" Addie asked
"there's only Mark, and she knows all about him" Arizona looked up meeting Addie's eyes, which were wide in surprised "what?"
"you've only been with Mark and Callie?"
"is that bad?"
"well" Addie shrugged "I don't know" she giggled
"Mark and I got together in high school" Arizona said shaking her head she didn't want to talk about him "hmm" Addie hummed as she sat back in her chair. It wasn't long before there was a knock on the door, Arizona looked up meeting the brown ones of the woman she couldn't get off her mind. "hi" she smiled
"hi" Callie said moving into the room "I brought you some coffee from the shop at the mall"
"oh I love coffee" Addie says, laughing when she saw Callie jump "sorry I thought you saw me"
"no" Callie giggled "but here" she said handing the redhead a cup
"thank you" Addie smiled reaching for the coffee, Callie sat in a chair that was now in the middle of the two desks "nice digs" she says looking at Addie's set up
"eh it works I guess, although I have no idea what I'm doing" she laughs
"April" Arizona says "she didn't know where else to put her, so now I get to share"
"what's wrong with sharing?" April's voice came from the door
"nothing" Arizona rolled her eyes
"Arizona have you met" she started to say but was cut off by Callie "Erica"
"hello Calliope" Erica smiled
"well I guess the two of you know each other" April laughed "Arizona have you met Erica Hahn?"
"sadly yes" Arizona replied
"Callie it's, it's so good to see you" Erica said pushing April out of the way so she could talk to Callie face to face.
"yeah, you too" Callie said still in shock
"what are you doing here?" Erica asked looking around Arizona's office, her eyes must have landed on one of many pictures Arizona had around her office of the two of them together, Arizona followed her eye line and smiled when she saw Erica was looking at a picture of the two of them kissing "I came to see my fiancée" Callie said
"fiancée?" Erica said as her eyes darted between Callie and Arizona
"yup" Callie smiled holding up her left hand
"that's nice" Erica said
"so" April cleared her throat "Erica is the newest manager, Erica this is mine and Arizona's assistant Addison Montgomery"
"soon to be Robbins" Addie smiles
"I thought" Erica started to say but was cut off by April "Addison is engaged to Arizona's sister"
"ok" Erica shook her head
"I just wanted to bring her by, we'll be off now" April says
"Callie, I was wondering if we could talk"
"um" Callie says looking at Arizona "sure, I work weekdays but am free this weekend?" she said her eyes not leaving Arizona's. Callie broke the contact and reached for a pen and one of Arizona's cards flipping it over she wrote her number on the back "just call and we'll set something up"
"ok" Erica smiled as April led her out of the room
"care to explain?" Arizona asked
"she's an old friend, moved to Texas when we were young, I haven't seen or heard from her in years"
"old friend huh?" Arizona says
"I'll just, um" Addie said sneaking past the couple and out the door
"from what she says you were more than friends"
"you got that from a 2 minute conversation with her?" Callie asked confused
"I ran into her in the lobby, when I stopped to watch you on tv" Arizona said "she came up to me saying how hot you were and then went on to tell me how you two used to date"
"did you tell her who you were?"
"no?" Arizona shook her head
"well then that's your problem"
"my problem?" Arizona asked "why didn't I know about her?"
"Arizona, we both have ex's, sometimes those ex's are going to show back up in our lives"
"one"
"what?"
"I have one ex, one ex that you know everything about"
"one ex who is a man" Callie said she was starting to get irritated
"we're going with this again?" Arizona sighed, closing her eyes she could feel the starting of a headache, she hadn't had many since she was done touring. Callie didn't say anything "why does it always come back to that? Just because I haven't' been with another woman doesn't mean I'm not in this"
"I know you're in this, I just wish you'd trust me" Callie said
"you just gave her your number"
"I did yes, I gave an old friend my number so we could get together and catch up, I haven't' seen her since, god, it's been over 10 years"
"fine whatever" Arizona said she was done with this, they had yet to have a big fight, and she wasn't about to do it now, she brought her hand up to the bridge of her nose holding it.
"you're head hurting?" Callie asked her tone concerned
"yes" Arizona growled
"you haven't had a headache in a while"
"that's because I haven't been stressed" Arizona snaps, causing Callie to shake her head "do you have any pills?"
"some ibuprofen in my bag" Callie stood and went to Arizona's bag pulling out the bottle and handing it to her "you know if it'll bother you that much I won't meet with her"
"no" Arizona let out a sigh "go meet her, if this relationship is going to work we need to trust each other" Callie watched as Arizona popped a couple pills in her mouth reaching for the coffee to drink it down "hot" she breathed out causing them both to laugh
"well" Callie shrugged, walking around the desk putting her arms around her fiancée placing a kiss on her lips "I love you"
"I love you too" Arizona smiled and kissed her back. "you can come back now" she called out for Addie
"good, I want to get done so we can go home" Addie says quickly walking to her area
"well pack up, cuz we're leaving"
"did you want me to stop and pick something up for dinner?" Callie asked
"pizza sounds good" Addie says
"pizza it is" Callie smiles giving Arizona one more kiss "oh Addie, will you drive home, she's got a headache"
"getting those again?" Addie asked looking at her soon to be sister-in-law
"yeah" Arizona nodded
"ok I'll see you two at home" Callie said kissing Arizona one more time and leaving.
"you ready?" Arizona asked reaching to turn off her monitor, her desk was a mess but she didn't care.
"yup" Addie smiles standing, reaching for her coffee "hot"
"I said the same" Arizona laughed reaching for her bag and following Addie out of the office, pausing to make sure it was locked.
"keys" Addie said reaching her hand out, Arizona shook her head "Callie said" Addie added with a stern look, rolling her eyes Arizona handed them to her.

Callie was in a daze, once she got to her truck and was alone. She hadn't heard or seen Erica in 10 years. They promised they'd keep in touch, but that never happened, back then before everyone had a cell phone in their hand. Shaking her head she started her truck, just as she was about to pull out of the parking space she saw Addie and Arizona exit the building, seeing Addie had the keys to Arizona's car "well at least she listen to me" she shook her head and drove off, in the direction of their favorite pizza place. Pulling up out front, she could have just called and had it delivered, they pay people to do that, but this gave her more time to contemplate the whole Erica situation. If Arizona wasn't comfortable with her having contact with Erica then she wouldn't, she wouldn't do anything to jeopardize what she and Arizona had. Erica was her first love, but Arizona was her present, and future. Realizing she had zoned out when the kid behind the counter said her name, she looked up and saw him holding two pizza's. She reached for the items and thanked him and made her way home. Thoughts still on her encounter with Erica. Pulling in the drive, she saw Arizona and Teddy sitting on the front porch. Climbing out of her truck, she reached for the pizzas, she slowly made her way to the front of the house, not wanting to disturb the two sisters that seem to be having a heart to heart. "hi" Arizona smiled seeing Callie
"hi" Callie smiled back, watching Arizona stand so she could get around, on her way by Arizona placed a kiss on her cheek saying "we'll be in in a few minutes"
"ok" Callie nodded, noticing an empty bottle of crown between Teddy's legs, she turned making her way into the house. Hearing noise in the kitchen, Callie made her way there, setting the pizzas on the counter, seeing Addie standing at the sink. "hi" she said softly
"oh hi" Addie turned around
"what's going on out there?"
"she called her aunt" Addie said
"did it not go good?" Callie asked confused
"no it did, from what I gathered, she wanted to talk to Arizona so" Addie shrugged, Callie nodded, neither Callie or Addie knew what it was like to have siblings. "so" Addie said opening the cupboard that housed the plates "tell me about Erica"
"what's there to tell?" Callie shrugged "we were together as teenagers, she was my first" Callie stopped letting out a sigh "everything"
"your first everything?" Addie asked looking at her
"yeah" Callie gave a half smile "at the time I thought she was, well you know"
"I get it" Addie smiled "but Teddy, she makes every other woman I've been with seem obsolete"
"yeah" Callie smiled thinking about Arizona "those Robbins girls are something else"
"yeah they are" Addie let out a chuckle flipping open a pizza box and plating some pizza, Callie did the same and they both headed in the direction of the front door. Knowing neither Teddy nor Arizona would move until Teddy was ready, they brought the food to them. Making sure Arizona made Teddy eat something with already having drunk a half bottle of crown, Callie and Addie made their way back inside the house. Taking up residence on the bar stools at the counter.

Arizona let out a deep breath "so you care to tell me why you're sitting on the front stoop with a bottle of crown in your hands?"
"I called Irene"
"and?"
"she wants to meet with me this weekend" Teddy said taking a long pull off the whiskey
"did you agree?"
"I did" Teddy said wiping her mouth with the back of her hand
"ok" Arizona said not knowing what else to say
"you probably think I'm overreacting" Teddy sniffled
"why would I think that?"
"I don't know" Teddy shrugged then sniffled again
"Teds, I can't imagine what is going through your head" Arizona said taking her hand "but know I'm here, and so is Addie and Callie, and mom and dad"
"I know" Teddy sniffled again, then turned to look at Arizona "you'll come with right?"
"of course" Arizona smiled a sad smile "whatever you need" she looked down at the bottle in Teddy's hand "did you drink that all?"
"no, it wasn't even half full when I grabbed it" Teddy said bringing the bottle to her lips taking a long pull. "I just needed something stronger than wine" Arizona nodded, watching Teddy take another pull emptying the bottle, then dropping it between her feet. "you know maybe it won't be that bad" Arizona said
"how so?"
"maybe she's rich, and you're the only living relative" Arizona laughed
"yeah doubt that" Teddy giggled, hearing Callie's truck pull up they both looked up, as Callie got out, "hi" Arizona said once she got closer
"hi" Callie said, Arizona stood so she could get past placing a kiss on her cheek as she went "we'll be in in a minute" Arizona whispered knowing they wouldn't be in until Teddy was ready. Callie nodded and went inside the house, Arizona let out a sigh and sat back down "what's going on there" Teddy asked
"nothing" Arizona let out another sigh
"that was clearly not nothing" Teddy said looking at her sister "you two are normally all over each other"
"I know" Arizona let out in a breath
"so" Teddy elbowed Arizona "tell me something that will get my mind off my long lost aunt"
"fine" Arizona let out a long sigh "I was walking through the lobby today, Susan always has the noon news on"
"had to check out your girl"
"something like that" Arizona rolled her eyes "while I was standing there a woman walks up telling me how beautiful Callie was, I made a joke saying she was talking about mom, but she said no she was talking about Callie, and that they know each other" Arizona paused "well more than know each other, turns out this chick is Callie's long lost ex, who moved away when they were teenagers"
"and now you're worried?"
"no" Arizona looked up into her sisters glazed over eyes "well maybe a little" she took a deep breath "so I got Callie to come in when she was done with work"
"why?"
"I, I'm not entirely sure" Arizona shook her head "when April showed up with this Erica"
"Erica?" Teddy said, seeing Arizona nod "Callie has never mentioned an Erica"
"exactly" Arizona said "Callie ended up giving Erica her phone number"
"why was she there to begin with?"
"apparently she's the newest manager or something, I wasn't entirely paying attention" Arizona shrugged, they heard the door open, hearing two sets of footsteps, they set something down behind them, and went back inside. "you need to eat something" Arizona said reaching behind her grabbing a plate and handing it to Teddy, then reached for the other plate for herself. "we have some amazing women" Teddy said looking down at the plate
"yes we do" Arizona smiled
"for what it's worth, Zo, you don't have anything to worry about, Callie loves you"
"I know she does" Arizona gave her a sad smile "and you don't either, I'll be there holding your hand"
"I don't need you to hold my hand"
"yeah ok" Arizona laughed
"I don't, I'm a big girl" Teddy laughed
"hmm" Arizona giggled "eat your dinner big girl"

Walking into the house sometime later, Arizona and Teddy saw a sight that caused Teddy to pull out her phone and hit record. "why did you just throw that shell at me?"
"because I had it to throw" Callie said as she stuck her tongue out concentrating on maneuvering the small vehicle on the screen. "dammit"
"gotcha" Addie laughed as someone spun out on the screen, Addie's laugh was infectious.
"oh you're going down now red" Callie said Arizona had to bite her tongue from laughing
"you think so huh?" Addie said a look at the screen told Arizona Addie was on the bottom part of the screen and Callie the top. "yes, I win" Addie said tossing the wheel she was using onto the couch "in your face Torres"
"rematch" Callie said
"I kind of want to play" Teddy says looking at Arizona
"me too" Arizona smiled as they made their presence known
"hi baby" Callie smiled "you two want in?"
"yes" Teddy said walking over to the cubby where they kept the rest of the remotes, tossing a remote and a wheel to Arizona, and taking a seat on the armchair.
"which track you want?" Callie asked after she restarted the game to put it in 4 player mode.
"not rainbow road" Teddy groaned
"she couldn't even stay on it with the 64 version" Arizona laughed
"alright" Callie said picking a track at random.
"everyone know where they are?" Addie laughed "when Callie and I started I thought I was her"
"nice" Teddy smiled, as the count down came on the screen. The four took off Arizona spinning out from pushing the gas too quickly. "dammit" she cursed. All that was heard in the room was the sound of the women laughing and revving of the little carts from the game.
"well that's enough for me" Arizona said setting the controller on the coffee table
"what's wrong Zo, can't take being beat?" Teddy laughed
"you've always been better at that than me" Arizona shrugged "but I'm tired" she said moving her gaze to Callie. Who gave her a nod, they still needed to talk, and it was getting late. After a round of goodnights, the two headed to their room, laughing when they heard the game start up again. "Addie's bound and determined to beat her" Callie said, closing the bedroom door.
"good luck" Arizona laughed "Teddy used to play that thing all day everyday"
"hmm" Callie hummed sensing the tension in the room as she changed, then climbed into bed. To her surprise Arizona crawled over and put her head on her chest. Letting out a deep sigh "are you going to tell me about Erica" Arizona asked
"what's there to tell?"
"why didn't I know about her?" Arizona asked in a quiet voice
"I don't know" Callie reached her hand up running it through Arizona's hair "she's my past"
"hmm" Arizona hummed, Callie could feel her tense up a little
"just ask me what you want to know"
"how long were you together?"
"um" Callie thought for a minute "2 years? I think, I don't really remember"
"why'd you break up?"
"she moved"
"so if she wouldn't have moved you wouldn't have broken up?"
"I, I don't know" Callie shrugged
"did you love her?"
"at the time I thought I did" Callie said "we were young, we didn't know anything, seeing her today" she paused "I'll admit seeing her today brought back a lot of memories, but Arizona I have you now, and I love you"
"I love you too" Arizona lifted her head and placed her lips on Callie's, letting that be enough at least for now.
I hope this all made sense, I had a hard time with it. Hoping the next chapter comes easier. Thanks for reading.
