A/N: As I discussed in my story Don't Call It Love, I was thinking about writing something along these lines. I'm taking a little break from that one as… Well, to be honest I don't like where things are going and maybe I need a little change of pace? That doesn't mean that I have abandoned it, I'm just waiting for inspiration to hit me and when it does, I'll update it!

I really hope you all like this one! As always please review, it helps me know if I should continue the path I have taken, forgotten details and well, I just love reading your feelings and what you think is going to happen next!

And here you are!

Chapter 1

I hate everything. I hate working, I hate walking, I hate that I have to leave my wife and family and go to freaking Bolivia.

About a month ago, we got to know that there is a baby over there with three legs. At first, I wanted nothing to do with that case. It seemed to be a simple open and shut case.

Amputate the extra leg, make sure bandages are changed regularly, give antibiotics, but within two weeks there are four babies there with the same problem and they needed a team of the best doctors to go and figure out what is causing this anomaly and what would be the safest option to proceed.

I still want nothing to do with it. My beautiful wife is eight months pregnant and on maternity leave and I would much rather spend the month that we have with her, pampering her until the baby comes.

"Calliope? Have you seen my Hopkins sweatshirt? The one I used to sleep in?" I called out to her as I put the remaining of my luggage together. My flight was tonight but the hospital wanted to get in for a quick interview before we left.

Our team consisted of Mark, Lexie, Meredith, Derek, Brian and Me. Ideally, it would have Calliope who would have come, but since she is pregnant Dr. Brain Chang would be our lead Orthopedic surgeon on the case. Between us, I would say we had a pretty solid team.

"I don't know babe, did you check the dryer? Maybe it's still there?" She called out from the kitchen.

Our six year old daughter Sofia usually didn't need much help with feeding herself, but usually my wife and I liked to be there to keep her company before she was off to school and make sure she didnt swallow her grapes too fast or finished all the veggies and didn't feed it to our little puppy Max.

The puppy was Sofia's birthday gift. Ever since she saw that movie with the golden retriever playing basketball, she wanted one of her own, which is when Max joined our family. It has been about two months and we have had a blast watching him trying to sneak treats or just place his face next to Calliope's belly as he felt the baby moving around or just chase Sofia around the house.

Max and I however, we are nap buddies. He doesn't like to nap with anyone but me. Sure he would nod off next to Calliope or even Sofia but Max loves to put his little head next to mine and cuddle against me.

I can't wait to have another baby running around the house!

Just then Calliope entered the bedroom and wrapped her arms around me from behind. I could feel her bump on my back. God, I loved it so much.

"Do I really have to go?" I whined.

"I know, I would much rather keep you here, but you know, it's just three days!"

I sighed. "Three long days without you and our family!"

"Baby, if you think too much about it, you're going to give yourself a headache."

"What if you go into labor and our baby girl is born?"

Calliope smiled at that. We didn't know the gender of our baby, but I was sure we were having a girl. I mean, I wouldn't care if we had a boy, but I was biased and well, a bit tired and old to sit and play tea party with Sofia.

"You know the chances of me going into labor is pretty low. All of my tests look good and my dues are four weeks away."

I rolled my eyes before glancing at the clock. "Shoot, I'm already late!" I quickly stuffed the rest of my clothes in my suitcase. "Screw it, I can't find the Hopkins hoodie, I guess I'll just take yours," I said as I grabbed her Seattle Grace zipper up.

Callie followed me to the door with Sofia in her arms. "Say bye bye Mama, see you soon," she said as she tilted Sofia towards me.

I hugged my family one last time before placing a kiss on Sofia's cheek "Bye Munchkin, don't grow up too much while I'm gone!" I turned my attention towards my wife's baby bump. "And you, you stay inside of Mommy all nice and cozy and don't give her much trouble. We love Mommy and it doesn't hurt to be nice for three days." I gently patted her belly before pulling her shirt up and kissing it. I smiled as I felt a gentle kick on my face letting me know 'I got this Mama, you go save those babies, I'll take care of Mommy.' I looked up at Callie and could see tears in the corner of her eyes.

Every time we had to leave each other for a couple of days, we couldn't help but get a bit emotional. That along with her being a literal hormone casserole right now, it was understandable. "Baby, it's just three days right?"

"That doesn't mean I won't miss you!"

I raised up to my tippy toes and leaned in to kiss my life. God, I was going to miss kissing her for the next few days. I felt her fingertips in my hair pulling me closer before we pulled apart as Sofia giggled.

"Soon enough we are going to have two children ruining every moment."

"Yup! Can't wait!"

"Alright, I'll see you soon babe!" I said before I headed out.

The interviews went by a breeze, there were a few questions asked to all of us on the approaches we would take and possible scenarios, but we have been working on this for a while now. We have practiced in labs and we were ready for all of their curveball questions.

Soon enough all of us were boarding the plane.

"Here, I got this Robbins," Mark said as he lifted my suitcase and put it in the overhead compartment.

"Thanks Mark!" I said as I took my seat across from him.

We were flying on the hospital's private jet so the plane was a bit more roomy and had space to move around.

"You seem nervous."

"My wife is pregnant and taking care of our six year old daughter and our four month old puppy, of course I'm thinking about them. Plus me and planes? Not a good combo."

"You don't like flying?"

"Humans are not meant to be a thousand feet off the ground, we are meant to be on land."

"Well humans are not meant to be cut open and fixed as if nothing happened."

I thought for a while. "Shut up! You know what I mean."

Mark reached into his back pocket and handed me a pill bottle.

"Here, Lexie hates takeoffs. It's a mild sedative, it should kick in about thirty minutes."

I looked at Lexie who was soundly sleeping on one of the seats. It does more good than harm, so I took two before downing them with my bottle of water.

"Thanks Mark!"

"We share a baby together! Of course I would help you if you ever needed it."

I smiled weekly as I started feeling the effects kicking in. I put the seat belt on and pulled the thin blanket over me and closed my eyes. In a couple of hours I'd be in Bolivia.

I felt shaking, I could hear that someone was screaming but I could quite make out what was going on. I felt so groggy as if I was not done sleeping. I fought to stay asleep but the pound got louder and louder.

"Arizona! You need to wake up!" Someone yelled in my ear. What was going on. I took every ounce of strength I had and opened my eyes.

What was in front of me shook me to my very core. The plane was lying in front of me in pieces as it kept on burning. Derek and Mark were helping Meredith out of the rubble, pulling her almost lifeless body out, but the way she seemed to cling onto them, told me that she was still alive.

I looked at my side and saw Lexie. Half of her face was covered in some form of ash while her arms seemed to have taken the impact and had a lot of cuts going through them.

"What's going on?" I managed to speak.

"The plane…" She tried to say it without crying but she failed. "We crash-crashed."

"What do you mean we crashed?"

"About halfway into our flight the plane-plane started rocking violently. The pilot told us that it was-was just some bad weather which was causing turbulence and told us to remain ca-calm, but this was not just some turbulence. Soon, the-the plane lost power so you went to go help Jerry."

"I went to the cockpit?"

"Yeah. You said that your dad taught you how to fly, you lead the plane out of the city and into the forest. You-You hit your head pretty hard and lost consciousness."

As if all of it was finally sinking in, I took in all the wreckage.

"We crashed?"

"Yeah."

"And no one knows where we are?"

Lexie nodded.

I was supposed to be back home cuddled up with my family, with my wife tucked into one arm and my daughter in the other while my pup was on my lap and now here I am trying to survive this carnage.

A/N: What do you think? Should I continue this one? Should I kill someone. I really don't want to give anyone any serious issues, but I'm open to suggestions.

Please review! It makes my day!
