Chapter 4
The first week of their stay in Forks has been relatively peaceful until sadly, the day that Fleur's scheduled departure to go back in France has came.
The past few days the female Veela just couldn't stop yammering on and on about missing her baby daughter so much. At first, Hermione and Draco greatly felt sympathetic to her– especially Hermione for that matter because she's the appointed godmother of the said child. I mean who wouldn't in Hermione's opinion Victoire's just the sweetest little thing of all. Her cute babbles and sweet smiles just reminded her about the remaining innocence of the world.
But after being forced to endure listening to Fleur's heartbreaking weepings at night Draco and Hermione finally decided to tell her to pack her things already and return to France to go and take care of her little daughter. And besides Gabrielle's shrieking howlers of fast and fluent French curses almost every single day bombarding the relatively peaceful atmosphere of the house just started to peeved the two younger Veelas who at this time around due to their early stage of awakening– has an overly sensitive senses.
Gabrielle is a kind-hearted sweet loving little sister sure but the repeated unending nagging for Fleur to come home already is, to put it bluntly for Draco and Hermione, just simply a torture to the ears. Fleur though, seems to be already used by this.
At first, when she expressed her hesitation in accord of the decision the two unabashedly convinced her instantly that she doesn't need to supervise them anymore. She wasn't oblige to in the first place and besides they're already adults. Though to reassure her furthermore and prevent risks from happening they started concocting bunch of suppressant potions that'll probably last them for months.
So after a hasty goodbyes and a promise that she'll come back around Hermione's birthday together with her daughter and younger sister, Fleur finally went off. Leaving the relatively huge and spacious white villa to Hermione and Draco alone.
At this moment, the duo had just finished dressing up because today is gonna be their first day of school. Hermione's nerves are currently in a buzz. Feeling thrilled at having to go to school and study again and extremely nervous at the same time. It's been years since she had went to a muggle school and she wasn't sure if her current witchy honed ethics at the moment can be considered somehow adaptable in this completely foreign place.
Draco, on the other hand, wasn't much better though. He felt far worst seeing that he had spent almost all his life being a pureblooded bigot and only possessing the educational knowledge about magic. Truthfully, he doesn't have any idea about muggle education and such. Hermione had had given him snippets of those probable subjects tackled in muggle high schools sure but it wasn't still satisfactory and appeasing as having to experience and learning them first hand.
Though his heart is practically hammering on his chest he wasn't one to lose his cool. His beautiful as ever face remained the expression of idle nonchalance. Coupled with that sexy dazzling smirk of his no one will probably guessed about his real thoughts and emotions at the moment. Even Hermione, the ever so observant Hermione, couldn't.
"Relax, Granger. In all of your tumultuous fidgeting someone would've think that something's stuck on your arse." Draco remarked snidely, chuckling amusedly at her expense.
Hermione glared at him before rolling her eyes. "Just my scholarly nerves is all. It'll pass later on."
"Figures. Hermione – ever the great swot – Granger has an scholarly nerves. I never even heard about that term, whatever that means. In my opinion it kinda sounds like it's some kind of studious hormones? Merlin. You're really something, Granger."
"Oh, bugger off already, Malfoy!" With that said Hermione instantly speeded off the La Ferrari, faintly hearing the loud guffaws of a one highly amused Draco Malfoy behind as she skidded the car with such speed that any normal human being wouldn't ever dream of surviving.
The trick is, of course, courtesy to a certain blonde haired prick.
Forks High School is currently in a buzz of another sizzling gossip. They heard that today two new students will be transferring on their school. No one knew when the two transferees actually arrived at Forks, only that they were the current owners of the infamous white villa located in the western suburbs of the town.
They're all completely shocked to say the least. Who doesn't know about the infamous white villa in town that is practically dubbed as the most majestic mansion they'd ever seen?
The villa is said to be never had been inhabitated for who knows how many years already and yet the lustre and elegance of it remained unchanged even though it has long been untouched. To put it bluntly, the white villa is as mysterious and elegant as the Cullen mansion. If not more.
At first, people speculated that the house is haunted because, honestly, who wouldn't want to live at such beautiful place? Why would they leave the place if it not being hunted by lost perished souls– or ghosts for that matter? Yet as absurd as it sounds majority of the townspeople still believes the story.
So, imagine their surprise when last Sunday someone say that he saw the lights on the villa turned on on the middle of the night. This shookt the people in Forks and immediately their curiousity rose.
The next day they began subtly observing the villa for some strange occurrences. That's when they learned that three people was currently residing the house and though no one has actually seen their faces they already gave them a faint impression. Firstly, the owners are no doubt, absolutely filthy rich. Because no, say, ordinary person could just afford to own such castle-like villa, right?
However, when they heard that there's gonna be two people – no doubt the ones currently residing on the white villa – transferring on their school they all felt extremely thrilled to say the least. The budding anticipation in their hearts reached its peak to the extent that was almost comparable if not more when they found out about the Cullen family's arrival a year or so ago.
And extremely least so in comparison to the arrival of Chief Swan's daughter only months ago.
