Thank you to everyone who commented, especially some of you who made me rethink some things.

I now realise that my answer for why the Pros and teachers did nothing was weak. I wasn't 100% thinking when I came up with that answer. As such, I may be doing some revisions on the previous chapter in the future.

Also, to clarify some things. When I say things are going to get Angsty and Dark, I am particularly referring to the next arc. Of course I am not going to make the entire story pure angst, that would get tiring. Hope I haven't turned too many of you off of a story you enjoy.

"What truly happened?" Izuku blinked as he looked into his Sire's eyes, "What do you mean?"

"I'm asking why you began to fall to the Darkness. What triggered the change?" the man asked, Izuku blinking as he recalled the screen showing Katsuki's fight with Ochako.

"He hurt her," the teen muttered, his eyes going dark as he clenched his fists, "He hurt her when he had no reason to. I was…I was so angry."

"I see," Sire sighed, "Yes, seeing another harm a Bride is particularly distressing. But you cannot allow that to overwhelm you."

"R-right, sorry Sire," Izuku muttered.

"You have nothing to apologise for," the man shook his head, "You are a child, and are still adjusting to your powers. It is understandable that you would slip up, even with guidance."

"But-," Izuku tried to say, Sire holding up his hand for silence.

"I believe that was the last of your allotted supply of blood?" he asked instead, pointing to the now empty cooler box, the teen nodding, "Then we must keep you as calm as possible until your next match. We cannot risk you falling again."

"Oh," Izuku nodded, "Who…who am I fighting?"

"Most probably the blonde boy," Sire muttered, looking away, "He is strong, so it is almost certain. But that is not for you to worry about now. First, let us do some meditation."

Katsuki scowled as he scratched at the bandages around his head. The fact that the old hag that was the school nurse had insisted he wore them when her quirk meant the damage was already healed pissed him off. He scratched at them again, watching the timer on the screen counting down to the final match.

Still five minutes, he could manage five minutes. That fucking Deku was probably pissing himself in fear right now. The thought almost made Katsuki smile as he scratched at the bandages some more. He glanced over as his phone vibrated, the caller ID saying it was his mom, the blonde just hanging up. He didn't have time to be distracted now, not when he was going to finally put that shitnerd in his place.

"You're the one who seems obsessed."

Frog's words suddenly echoed through his head, making the teen blink. Why the fuck was he thinking about that now? He had already beat her, she was just another pebble he'd knocked away. It didn't matter that she had made him try. Not as hard as round-face. She'd actually forced him into a corner, but he'd managed to blast his way out, just as he always did. It didn't matter that the final match had to be delayed an extra twenty minutes because he'd reopened the injury she'd given him when he had fought against shitty hair.

"Will the competitors please make their way to the stage."

The electronic voice caught Katsuki off guard, not realising just how lost in his own thoughts he was. Shaking his head as he pulled off the bandages, he stood up and kicked the door open, stalking out onto the field, ignoring the cheering of the crowd as he stomped onto the stage. Opposite him, Deku walked up the stairs, looking down as Midnight explained the rules for the last time.

She lifted her whip, Katsuki lifting his hands in preparation, unleashing a powerful blast that threw him forwards. Izuku looked up.

Katsuki froze.

"Hey, Kacchan," the green-haired teen said softly, the words somehow cutting through the cheers and screams of the crowd as the blonde skidded to a halt, "How are you doing?"

"What the fuck?" the blonde spat, staring at the kind and slightly shaky smile, a smile he'd seen hundreds of times over his life, "What the fuck are you planning, Deku?"

"Planning?" the boy said, "Sorry, I don't have any plans this time."

"DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME!" Katsuki roared, "I know you! You always have a plan! You're always coming up with some bullshit to fuck with me!"

"No, I'm not," the boy shook his head, "I just…I don't want to hurt you, Kacchan."

"Hurt me?" Katsuki snarled, "HURT ME?! Fuck you! I'll kill you! I'll beat you into a pulp just like I did to your stupid fucking girlfriends, you worthless fucking Deku!"

Katsuki shivered. He watched as the smile melted off the other boy's face, replaced by a look of hurt and betrayal, quickly morphing into something else. Something familiar.

"Why?" the whisper sounded like a shout, silencing the stadium as the green-haired boy shuddered, "Why did you have to say that? Why do you have to be this way? Why do you have to make me feel like this?"

"What?" Katsuki blinked, a shiver running through his own body, "What the fuck are you talking about, Deku?!"

"Why do you have to make me hate you?"

The word was said with such venom that Katsuki actually stepped back.

"Hate me?" the blonde blinked, before feeling his rage return, "Make you hate me? FUCK YOU! I'm the one who hates you! Just shut up and die like the useless Deku you are!"

Silence echoed through the stadium as the green-haired teen looked up once again.

"Die?" he asked, his expression blank, but his eyes burning with barely controlled rage, "No, I don't think I will."

The blonde blinked as he was thrown back, the punch all but shattering his nose as he flipped backwards, barely keeping himself in the ring with a series of short blasts. He roared as he swung his hands up, unleashing an explosion straight into the green-haired teen's face, the other boy barely reacting as he grabbed Katsuki's wrist and flung him across the ring.

"DEKU!" Katsuki screamed as he scrambled to his feet, launching himself at the other teen, "I'LL KILL YOU!"

He was cut off as the blow struck him in the back, slamming him into the floor. He coughed as he looked up, seeing the thick tendrils of blood above him, barely managing to roll out of the way as they speared into the concrete.

"What's wrong, Kacchan?" the teen asked as he held out his arms, blood tendrils rising from his split skin, "I thought we were fighting?"

"FUCK YOU!" the blonde screamed, spitting blood as he launched himself forwards again, using his explosions to dodge around the snaking blood whips until he was right beside the green-haired teen, "DIE!"

The explosion engulfed half the stage in smoke and fire, throwing Katsuki back as he tried to right himself, gasping as the hand grabbed his ankle, slamming him back into the ground. He lifted his hands, blasting the other boy again and sending himself sliding along the floor, rolling over backwards and staggering to his feet.

"DIE!" Katsuki roared as he launched himself at his opponent, fist meeting flesh as he was thrown back, "JUST FUCKING DIE, DEKU!"

"Why?" the other teen asked as Katsuki threw himself forwards with another explosion, being batted away like a fly.

"Because I'm going to win!" the blonde roared, jumping forwards before getting thrown back by another punch.

The fight continued like this for several minutes, the crowd growing restless as they watched the brutality of the two teens.

"Is that enough for you, Kacchan?" the green-haired teen asked, stepping out of the smoke of the latest explosion, his jacket blasted apart, pale skin already stitching itself back together, "Don't you want to end this?"

"End this?" the blonde spat, ignoring the blood running down his face, "I'LL FUCKING END YOU, YOU FUCKING DEKU!"

"No, you won't," the boy said as he slammed a punch into the blonde's cheek, throwing him back.

"I'm going to win this!" Katsuki shouted, righting himself, "I'm going to win this whole fucking thing! And I'm going to kill you to do it!"

"Then prove it."

The words were cold. Final.

Katsuki snarled, pointing his hands down as he launched himself into the air, hovering for a moment as he stared down the other boy.

"HOWITZER!" he shouted as he began to spin, launching himself towards the other teen, who simply drew back his hand, "IMPACT!"

Smoke and debris covered the arena, the crowd staring in shock as they tried to see what was happening. The camera drones swooped in closer, trying to find the two figures amongst the smoke. Finally, the dust cleared.

Blood dripped off Izuku's knifed hand, long claws piercing through flesh and bone, a look of shock on Katsuki's face as he stared blankly ahead.

The man stood between them, back burned, chest pierced as he tightly gripped each of their arms.

"S-Sire?" Izuku whispered, a look of genuine terror on his face as he looked up into the dark hood of the cloak.

"That's enough, young one," the man said softly, gently pulling the teen's arm from his chest as he slumped forwards onto Izuku's shoulder, "It is time…to rest."

"SIRE!" the teen screamed as the man collapsed against him, the crowd silent as they watched the medic bots rush out, quickly gathering the man onto the stretcher as the boy ran beside them, leaving the field.

Silence hung in the air for moment longer before Midnight seemed to realise what had just happened.

"A-and Izuku Midoriya has left the ring! Katsuki Bakugo wins!" she shouted uncertainly into her mic, "P-please wait half an hour for the award ceremony!"

Chapped lips split as the twisted grin spread across the man's face, an evil cackle escaping his throat as he watched the screen in the corner of the bar.

"You seem happy, Tomura Shigaraki," Kurogiri hummed from behind the bar, polishing a glass.

"Oh, yes," the man said gleefully, looking away from the screen as it cut to a commercial break, "How will UA deal with this, I wonder? Will they deny it? Or will they try to protect that thing?"

"I would not know," Kurogiri hummed in reply, inspecting the glass, giving a satisfied nod before picking up another.

"Whatever they try to do, they cannot hide it, it was broadcast on national television," Tomura cackled again, "One of their precious Hero students killed a man!"

"I wouldn't count on that just yet, Tomura," the voice said, making the man fall silent as the screen changed, showing the words 'Sound only' as the person on the other end continued, "I believe that the one who was injured is a little more…shall we say, hardy, than you'd expect."

"Doesn't change the fact that the thing that killed the Nomu was going to kill that blonde kid," Tomura hummed, the pleased look not leaving his face.

"True, and we shall definitely use this to our advantage," the voice hummed, "But first, how goes your search for more companions?"
