When their eyes clashed, Hermione somehow managed to morphed those doe eyes to those pair of a particularly mocking one on her memories.

Her heart grew cold in an instant.

Uncle Charlie who noticed her after a while gave a wave at her, shouting excitedly, "Mya!"

Hermione took a small intake of breath to compose herself before letting out a charming smile, showing them her now perfectly even white pearly teeth.

"Uncle Charlie!" She matched his enthusiasm before giving him a hug which he responded with a gleeful smile. In the corner of her eyes, she could see the heated glare that Bella sends her way. Somehow she had a hunch that Uncle Charlie isn't as welcoming as when meeting his very own daughter before, unlike now, with his most favorite niece.

Hah, take that Bella Swan.

"Well, I miss you both guys you know. Especially my dear beloved cousin. Bells, how're you?" Hermione greeted sweetly in her heavily accented British accent. Her smile only grew wider as she notice the ugly expression on her face before masking it with shy and timid look.

"H-hello couz. I'm, uh, alright."

"Hm? Glad to know then." She paused and shifted her gaze back to Uncle Charlie. "And Uncle Charlie, Mum and Dad sends their love and regards by the way. They do too apologize for not coming with me here right now. Their newly established dental clinic in Australia seems to be getting more and more loaded this days so they might be here late ahead from the scheduled date."

Truthfully speaking, Hermione's parents– Mr. and Mrs. Granger isn't definitely thrilled after knowing everything that happened, to her ultimate role on the war, and mainly on what she did to them. Obliviating them that is.

To be honest she and her parents isn't as close as others deemed them to be– what with her unusual intelligence and all those odd things happening around her. They feared her and somehow deep inside them viewed her as some kind of monster.

She bet that after McGonagall had had personally visited their house when she's eleven years old and gave them a briefing about her magical affinity, and later informing them regarding her acceptance letter to study in their magical school (Hogwarts) they feel that a huge amount of burden was lifted on their shoulders.

Hermione's a little bit saddened by the thought but after all they were still her parents – flesh, blood and all – and so Hermione still felt the obligation to protect and keep them safe.

Only that after resorting to this that not only did she got even a small grateful smile but somehow it even manage to infuriates them even more and blames her and her freakiness to them being partially involved in such things when they only ever wanted is to live a peaceful and a very normal life.

You know the typical rant that if only she's born normal kid and all is getting really old. Really, seems that the farce that happened just made their already distant relationship ties severed to another whole level than it already is. They still blame her and Hermione has no choice but to take all the blow of it.

"No problem, no problem. Tell them it's alright and if they needed any help with anything remember to just give me a call and I'll do my best to lend them a hand." Uncle Charlie smiled kindly and Hermione once again wondered why in the name of Godric Bella didn't inherit her father's good-natured – albeit a little awkward sometimes – personality.

Must be that Renee-bitch's trait then.

Before she could reply, a sudden cough interrupted her. Looking up, that's when she realized that there is also another – albeit unfamiliar – person accompanying Bella and Uncle Charlie. Even without looking Hermione could already feel Uncle Charlie's mood dampening in an instant. She wonder why though.

Looking at the said person– young man, Hermione has to suppressed the sharp intake of breath that threatens to partook when she for the very first time in her life laid her eyes to the most beautiful person she's ever seen– and she has seen a real Veela for that matter which is known to be the most beautiful creature among mankind.

He's tall, lean with broad shoulders, an insanely godly appearance, pale alabaster white skin, unnatural bronze hair, and pair of glinting butterscotch eyes that's currently staring at her deeply.

To put it bluntly, he looks simply ethereal and... completely inhumane.

Hermione's eyes twitched lightly. Something's wrong. Definitely wrong. Even her magic is sending her a tantamount alarm. And her magic rarely fluctuates mind you– only from time to time especially when it's sensing an upcoming danger. Just like now. But what is it exactly?

Nevermind. Mankind fears the unknown but Hermione Granger only felt a buzzing thrill rushes through her veins. The feeling of enabling to conquer the unknown, solve the missing puzzle, and unfold a hidden mystery brings a bubble of excitement to her.

Hermione is always a wondering soul with a big insatiable curious mind. She wouldn't be part of the Golden Trio and join the infamous Harry Potter's golden escapades if she's not.

"Edward." Hermione blinks her dark honey brown eyes twice after hearing his silky and slightly husky voice that could probably send any woman swooning in their feet. She could already felt her knees weakening, to be honest.

Her gaze dropped to his offered hand, to his long and pianist-like fingers, and damn, Hermione hates to admit it but she couldn't help fantasizing how it would definitely feel if those perfectly sculptured pianist hands started roaming around her whole body. Groping, kneading, thrusting...

Just thinking of it an excited shiver quickly runs down her spine.

Hermione suppressed herself from letting out a moan as she subtly rubbed her thighs. Merlin, she could already feel the dripping wetness between her valley.

"Hermione Granger. Pleased to meet you, Edward." She grasped his offered hand only to gasp slightly at the coldness of it.

She tried yanking back her hand but instead of letting go, for some unknown reasons, Edward seems to tighten his hold more. She look at him confusedly only to meet his darkening amber eyes with unknown emotions raging inside them.

"Pleasure... Miss Granger, " Damn, even his voice sounds more huskier than before and dare she say it, maybe sounding a little bit more seductive. She felt her knickers dampening even more giving a sticky feeling that makes her a little bit uncomfortable. His eyes became darker.

Before the atmosphere could turn even weirder than it already is, Bella finally spoke breaking the tension, openly glaring daggers at her. "Yes, dear cousin, his name's Edward Cullen. My. Boyfriend." She looks smug as hell as she introduced him to her and for a fleeting moment– Hermione swore she saw the a flash of annoyance on the said beau's eyes before it disappears within a blink of an eye.

Boyfriend? Hmm, interesting.

"Oh," Instead of getting annoyed Hermione only let out a little tinkling chuckle.

She gave a reassuring smile at her baby cousin– who only glares at her even more before shifting her gaze back to Edward– giving him a subtle sultry look, licked her ruby lips before gently biting it. His eyes darkened even more before fluttering them close. He sucked a deep – unnecessary – breath before unconsciously parting his lips, then mildly licking it. Merlin, does he have any idea how erotic that action was?

As if sensing her gaze, Edward opened his eyes and then turned back at her with the same heated eyes she knew she now currently possess.

Bloody hell, seems like her core is now even wetter than before!
