Cloud Strife- a novice cadet and an even worse warrior in his own mind. Despite standard SOLDIER training, Cloud feels he can't get any better at anything, increasingly weighed down by his own subconscious. Luckily, two experienced SOLDIERs step in.

"let's make a new promise. promise me that you'll always be there for aerith. no matter what happens." he gives her a nod, and then, "i promise." tifa smiles him and tells him to go on ahead. he does. he doesn't hear the hitch in her breath, or see the tears that slowly fall from her eyes.

Things are looking bright for our heroes, but when a figure returns from the past it sets a new wave of events in motion. Unanswered questions find their resolve and a new threat awaits on the horizon. And SOLDIER is getting revived. Wait WHAT?

Zack never survived the Nibel Reactor and therefore couldn't rescue Cloud from Hojo's clutches. From this single point of divergence, the story unfolds.

Sephiroth doesn't often get fanmail... or any mail. ShinRa screens more or less every aspect of his life, after all. So when he receives a package, he's understandably curious. He opens it to find... a video game, of all things. Final Fantasy VII? What a useless waste of time... that Hojo would highly disapprove of... Hmm. Perhaps just this once...

Aka. Or where CtS! Cloud isn't attacked for once in a blue moon. Inspired after binge reading the Cursed to Strife Series by AimeeLouWrites a few times. Her version of Cloud is considerably snarkier and more dead inside compared to Canon Cloud, and I had fun reading it. So basically I kidnapped him for a while.

The story of FF7 if Zack lived. Shortly after being ambushed outside of Midgar, Zack and Cloud were separated: Zack remained under Turk care, while Cloud - confused from mako poisoning - went missing somewhere on the streets of Midgar. Now Zack has to find Cloud before Shinra or Hojo can, and Cloud has to keep his promise to Tifa... no matter what it takes.

It's been three weeks since Meteor almost obliterated their whole world, and in the days that have passed, they've had to make do with what they can, living on the streets of a dilapidated city. It means that Tifa can't have Cloud the way she wants him, and she is burning from the inside out for him. But they finally have a moment alone, and Cloud makes every moment special. Vday F

In a last-ditch effort to save the planet, Cloud is hurled into another dimension. One where the link between him and god-complex Sephiroth will be broken. The only problem is, his cross-dimensional counterpart is the soulmate of the four strongest SOLDIERs in Midgar, that dimension's Sephiroth included. Their *dead* soulmate. And they'll stop at nothing to find him.

One day I imagined showrunning a Final Fantasy 7 tv series, so this is how I would tell the story. The entire compilation (minus Dirge Of Cerberus) literally saved my life at a crucial period, so writing this will absolutely be a labor of love. Some things are identical, some are fairly similar, and some are totally different. Hopefully you enjoy my take!
