"Darn it"
A feminine voice broke through the surrounding flames as she ran towards a burning clocktower.
"I should have never left him to fight by himself"
She continued to run before arriving at a clearing of destroyed buildings.
"Subaru, I led the crowd away. Reinhard and the others should be here real so-"
The words caught in her throat as she stared at the center of the destruction.
The Archbishop from earlier, Subaru called her Sirius, was swinging her golden chains at another women.
Said woman had long white hair that flowed down her back and golden eyes. She wore a white and gold skirt that went up to her belly and split up towards the bottom, under that a blue sweater along with white and gold arm sleeves. She wore white stockings and a pair of white low heels. Finally, she wore a white and gold coat that had a black and gold, high neck collar along with a blue teardrop shaped necklace on her left ear. Overall it looked like ordinary noble clothes and something you would definitely forget about.
There was also another woman who had short golden hair with a rose attached at the end of her long ponytail. She was wearing revealing clothes, hot pants, leggings, and a bikini. She also has a yaeba that was visible as she had a vicious smile on her face. Lastly, just above her waist, two larger circular appendages can be seen sprouting out of her body. She was standing far enough to not be affected by the two other women's cat fight. She seems to be staring at someone laying behind the white haired woman but couldn't make out who it was from the smoke.
Speaking of the white haired women, she seemed to be unaffected by the chains or even the smoke, as they seemed to bounce off before they even touched her, but she did have a noticeable scowl on her face as they argued with each other. Sirius also seemed to be bleeding from a large gash on her shoulder.
" How dare you! How dare you get in the way of my love! How dare you get in the way of my love with my Betelgeuse! And you dare hurt me while I try to shower my Betelgeuse in my love!"
Sirius screamed as she continued to swing around her chains, scattering more fire around.
" Your love? What nonsense are you spewing with the worthless thing you call a mouth? Can't you see that you are using up my valuable time for your annoying temper tantrum? Why that is a violation of my rights! I am only here to find my husband that I have so rightfully deserve and what do I find? I find a miserable woman attacking him and then all of a sudden you start spouting out nonsense about how you love them and that you want to shower them in your love. You dare say you love him when you were just trying to kill hi-"
The woman was cut off from their rant as the chains continued to swing her chains.
" I would have never tried to if I knew that he was my Betelgeuse! If I knew he possessed Betelgeuse's Authority then I would have never harmed him!" Sirius screamed in anger.
The white haired woman's scowl deepened as she started to raise her hand.
" You dare interrupt me? You dare stomp on my freedom of speech?! That is a violation of rights! You dare violate mine when I have so generously respected yours! I have sat here listening to your rambling, only for you to interrupt me as I generously explained to you that you were in the wrong from the beginning! That is stupid! Absurd! Foolish! Ridiculous! Ludicrous! Farcical! Unbelievable! Senseless! Unreasonable! You deserve to die where you stand!"
The woman finished her rant by swiping her hand diagonally at Sirius. To Emilia's shock instead of nothing happening, Sirius was sent flying into the clock tower making it collapse on top of her.
The woman then turned to the blonde hair girl.
"And you! What gives you the right to give your disgusting, sickening, foul, repulsive blood to my husband! Not only is that against my rights but also his! How dare you! You also have the nerve to do it while I was in the middle of having a talk with that other vile woman!" The woman shouted as she glared at the blonde woman who looked unbothered.
" You think I care, dumbass? And besides this was just a simple experiment to see if this so-called hero can handle my blood. With so many feats under his belt this should be a simple problem for him. If not, then I guess he was just an awful, hideous bag of meat." The woman said as she continued to smirk at the white haired woman.
" That still does not excuse your actions! Who gave you the right to trample on mine! You hideous, unsavory, malodorous, horrendous, skanky woman!" The white woman spat as she raised her hand.
Uncaring, the blonde continued to speak.
" As if your insults have any meaning towards me shithead. And beside-"
The woman cut herself off as she and the white haired woman both reached behind and pulled out a back book, opening and reading the words that had appeared in it.
"Hmm, it seems we have new orders. How fortunate, I was starting to get bored playing with you filthy maggots. I hope you keep that boy safe or sound, or I might steal him for myself." The blonde spoke as she winked and smiled seductively as she stared at the person behind the white haired woman before turning into a bird and flying away.
The woman sighed as she started to calm down.
"Now then, where was I? Ah yes."
The woman turned around, completely ignoring Emilia, as she looked down towards the ground. Only now has Emilia realized who was behind the woman. On the ground, passed out and bleeding, was Subaru and not too far from him was Beatrice passed out as well.
The woman picked up Subaru in a princess carry as she stared at his sleeping face.
" Natsuki Subaru. You are just as handsome as THAT WOMAN described you. You most definitely must be him. The most perfect husband. The one who will finally satisfy me." The woman said softly as she moved a strand of hair out of his face and smiled.
Emilia's world stopped. Husband? That woman? Subaru being her husband? Her perfect husband? That couldn't be. Even though Emilia doesn't yet understand love, she still understood what it ment. It was something that two people who love each other with their whole being do to unite their lives together. So why does her heart hurt when thinking about Subaru being married to another woman? She couldn't help but feel hurt by how weird that sounded. After shaking her head she called out to the woman.
" Hey! What do you think you're doing with my knight?!"
The woman turned to her, and with an eyebrow raised responded.
" Your knight? What makes you think this is your knight? Where's the proof? The evidence? Who was there to witness it? Even if this was your knight, he is now mine. He is my most perfect husband for being as perfect as I am."
" But he IS my knight! And what makes you think that he would become your husband?! Subaru doesn't even love you!"
" It's because I have said so. He will love me. As I am the most perfect being in existence, he will fall for me. Even if he doesn't, he will learn to fall for me."
" He probably doesn't even know your name! And Subaru has already said that he loves me many times!"
The woman scowled at Emilia as she tightened her grip on Subaru but not enough to hurt him.
" Oh really? If he really does love you then I just have to get rid of you. He will love me and become my husband."
" That's just wrong! You shouldn't force someone to marry you! And you definitely shouldn't kill whoever they love! Who do you think you are?"
The woman continued to scowl at Emilia.
" Who am I? How dare you demand my name after you haven't even given yours? Such rudeness, such childishness, such impoliteness, such audacity, how could you have such a lack of manners! It's common sense to give your name before asking for someone else's!"
" My name is Emilia, just Emilia! I am a half-elf, candidate for the throne of Luginica! I ask of you to ple~ase return my knight to me"
The woman smirked at Emilia as she brought Subaru closer to her to where his face rested on her breasts; Which didn't go unnoticed by Emilia.
" My name is Regina Corneas, Sin-Archbishop of the Witch Cult, representing Greed. And for your violation against my rights, you must be punished."
After the now revealed Archbishop finished her sentence, Emilia who was shocked from the women's title was sent flying into rubble. Emilia trying to make sense of what happened didn't register the pain until she tried to get up. She looked down at her leg and gasped. Her leg up to her right side was covered in cuts and gashes. Once the pain started to register she was already losing consciousness. The last thing she saw was Subaru being carried away in the arms of Greed.
Emilia opened her eyes to a wooden ceiling. She turned her head to the left to see Beatrice soundly asleep.
"Bea-" She cut herself off to let out a dry cough. Her cough alerted those around which prompted them to call for someone. Not a moment later, Felix came rushing into the room along with the other camps.
" Emilia-sama! Someone get her some water!" Felix ordered.
Not a second later, Wilhelm handed Emilia a cup who proceeded to chug it down, letting out a sigh of relief that her throat ceased its scratching.
" T-Thank you, Wilhelm-san." Emilia thanked to which the butler nodded his head.
" Big sis, are you alright?" Felt asked worriedly for her big sister figure.
" I'm fine, Felt-chan. My throat was just a little dry." Emilia responded with a smile.
" Fine nya?! You are definitely not fine! If Reinhard didn't find you sooner you would have either died of blood loss or smoke inhalation!" Felix yelled.
" W-What do you mean?" Emilia asked.
" Emilia-sama, I found you trapped in rubble near the clocktower. You were gravely injured when I found you and the fire was quickly spreading. Thankfully I was able to put it out just in time." Reinhard replied from his spot next to Felt.
" Thank Od, but what happened to Sirius?" Emilia said.
" The Archbishop of Wraith, Sirius was killed. She was cut in half when I found her body and the clocktower collapsing must have ended her life. The only problem was that my Divine Protections couldn't sense the Authority from her body." Reinhard explained.
" Her Authority missing?" Emilia questioned.
" My theory is that her Authority must have either moved to someone else or it was destroyed along with her body." Julius further explained.
" I guess that's fine. Hopefully it was destroyed" Emilia said as she leaned back into her pillows.
" Anway Big Sis, can you tell us what happened to you?" Felt asked.
" I… don't really know. Not that much. I do remember leading the crowd away from the tower." Emilia said.
" Emilia-dono, can you try to remember harder? Maybe start from what happened after the crowd." Wilhelm asked.
" I remember… leading the crowd away from the clock tower and…" Emilia held her head as she tried to remember what happened.
At that moment, everything came back full force. The clocktower, the crowd, the fire, Sirius, Beatrice, Regina and…
" SUBARU!" Emilia screamed as she tried to get up before flinching in pain.
" Emilia-sama please don't try to move! You still have fully recovered!" Felix urged as he applied his water magic.
After Felix moved away, Emilia lifted her cover to find her right leg to her hip was bandaged up but was soaked in blood. She turned to the Otto who was sitting next to an angry looking Garfiel.
" W-Where's Subaru? Where is he?" Emilia asked as she looked around for any sign of the black haired knight.
" We were hoping you would know Emilia-sama." Otto responded as he held his hat to his chest.
" Yea' where's ma' cap'n?" Garfield asked from his seat.
" You weren't able to find Subaru?" Emilia asked.
" Unfortunately Emilia-sama, neither I nor my spirits were unable to locate Subaru. I was waiting for you to awake so we could ask you." Julius responded.
" They took him." Emilia stated as she gripped her cover. " That woman took him."
" They took him? I'm sorry Emilia-dono, I don't think we understand. Can you please explain to us what happened?" Crusch said.
" Those witch cultist's took him. I left Subaru to fight that Archbishop so I could lead the crowd away so we could take her down. When I got back, Subaru was out cold and was bleeding. He was near Sirius and two other Archbishops, they seem to be fighting over him. Sirius was thrown into the clocktower by that white haired cultists. She introduced herself as Regina Corneas, the Archbishop of Greed. She's the one that took Subaru." Emilia explained much to everyone's surprise.
" The Archbishop of Greed. The same one tha' destroyed Garkla and defead'ed Kurgan? What could she possibly wan' with Natsuki-kun?" Anastasia wondered as she rubbed her scarf.
" Isn't it obvious? The commoner has taken down one of their disgusting Archbishops and two of the Great Mabeasts. Why wouldn't they go for the half-devils knight?" The fiery Matriarch gave her response on the matter at hand.
" We didn't ask for your opinion, you dammit! Why the hell are you even here?!" Felt yelled, glaring daggers at the Bloody Bride who didn't seem affected by her words.
" I see you still don't know how to treat royalty, gutter rat. My vulnerable self is only here to make sure my servant receives the proper healing." Priscilla responded as she turned toward the sleeping pink haired boy laying in one of the many beds in the large room.
" That aside." Anastasia continued. " Jus' like miss Barielle said, I don' really find it surpirisn' tha' they would want to get rid of Natsuki-kun"
As everyone agreed silently with the merchant princesses statement, Beatrice finally was starting to wake up.
" Beatrice?" Emilia called out.
" Mmmh, W-What happened? Where's Subaru?!" Beatrice quickly jumped out her bed, looking frantically around for any sign of him.
" Beatrice, please I need you to calm down. We will find Subaru." Emilia tried to calm down the frantic spirit.
" Calm down?! How do you expect Betty to calm down if Betty doesn't even know where Subaru is?!" Beatrice shouted at Emilia.
" Beatrice-san, from what we know, Subaru-san was taken by the Witch Cult." Otto tried but failed to calm down the Great Spirit.
" Taken by the Witch Cult?! How is this supposed to calm down Betty, I suppose?!" Beatrice yelled at the flinching merchant.
" Beako please, I actually don't think Subaru is in danger right now" Emilia stated as all eyes turned to her.
" What do you mean 'not in danger'?! And stop calling Betty that, only Subaru may call me that, in fact!" Beatrice yelled as she pointed at the half-elf.
" Well um, I forgot to mention something" Emilia said as she looked away from everyone.
" Well? Spit it out already, I suppose." Beatrice said.
"The Archbishop of Greed, Regina Corneas, said that she would make Subaru into her 'Perfect Husband' before she attacked me." Emilia said.
No one said anything as they were shocked by the revelation. Even Priscilla couldn't help but widen her eyes with a shocked expression on her face which was hidden by her fan. The silence continued for a couple of moments.

Yo, so I had this idea in my head for like 4 months so I finally decided to write it.
The only trouble I had with this was accidentally deleting the entire story and I coudn't recover it. But thank Allah, google docs allows you to go back through the edits you've made so I was able to recover the story.
Also some of you may be asking why Sirius authority didn't kill Emilia, Subaru, or Beatrice when she died. It's mostly for plotconvenience but I would say she didn't have it activated when she was attacking Regina.
