Going back to Hogwarts for her 8th year without her two best friends, was not something Hermione had anticipated nor wanted. She would make do, but when an encounter with Draco Malfoy had the scar Bellatrix had given her flaring up, it was clear her last year at Hogwarts was not going to be simple nor easy, especially when it meant they both had to work together to find a solution.

There were very few things in Harry Potter's life that he was certain of. There was one absolute certainty though; he'd felt it in his bones for as long as he could remember.
