The door to the bar opens behind Kara and Nia. Al and some of his employees step outside. Al glances at end of the alley and says, "Jackson?! Kara, that's Jackson!"
Nia turns and says authoritatively, "Al! Please get your self and your people back inside, quickly!"
Al ushers them back into the bar expeditiously.
"What do you want with Brainy?", Kara asks emphatically.
"Brainy?!?", Brainiac repeats in an offended, sardonic tone. "How sickeningly obscene and belittling to our lineage. I am here to drag him back to Colu."
As Brainiac responds J'onn and Brainy drop out of the sky, landing on either side of Kara and Nia. Behind the four of them Andrea and Lena materialize out of the shadows.
Nia turns her head to look at her fiancée, "This guy says he's here to take you back to Colu. Says his name is Vril Dox."
Brainy looks at the figure before them and states, "That's highly improbable. Even in this time Vril Dox has been dead for generations."
"True," Brainiac replies stoically, "but not entirely accurate."
"Explain!", Brainy insists.
"Very well," Brainiac begins, "when the so-called 'Computer Tyrants' of Colu turned against me...".
"You mean when you attempted to overthrow Colu's ruling body," Brainy interjects.
"Perspective, Querl Dox," Brainiac retorts, "perspective. I was sentenced to death. Before my death sentence could be carried out I transferred my knowledge and consciousness into nanotechnology... my greatest achievement. I fled Colu, but our overlords hunted me across the universe finally capturing me when I attempted to shrink the Kryptonian city of Argo."
"Wait!", Kara reacts. "You're the madman of Kryptonian legend... the 'City Stealer'?! You shrank and stole the city of Kandor!"
"One of the prized pieces of my collection, but not relevant to our current conversation," Brainiac responds with a muted sense of pride before refocusing his attention on Brainy. "I was returned to Colu, imprisoned, and repurposed. As penance for my purported crimes I am forced to serve at the whim of our overlords. They have sent me back from the 31st century to retrieve you by any means necessary."
"Well," J'onn interjects, "we hate to disappoint you, but you won't be taking Brainy anywhere."
Brainiac fixes his gaze on J'onn and inquires threateningly, "Is that so, Martian Manhunter? How do you intend to stop me?"
As the green glow in Jackson's eyes begins to intensify three silver probes de-cloak around him. Two of them revert back to their nano-particulate form, begin wrapping themselves around Jackson, forming a belt around his waist and gauntlets on each hand. The third moves toward the Super Friends and begins firing plasma blasts at them.
Nia projects a dream energy shield between the team and the third probe, blocking the blasts while Kara takes flight and knocks the probe out of the air with her heat vision.
As Nia's shield dissipates, Braniac projects an energy beam towards Brainy, but Andrea grabs him by the arm and they disappear.
Kara lands beside Lena as Brainy and Andrea reappear out of the shadows behind Brainiac.
Lena begins to mutter an incantation as Kara, J'onn, and Brainy all move in to attack Brainiac. The glow in Brainiac's eyes intensifies more, the three of them suddenly freeze in mid-air, and are thrown back in the direction they came from.
Kara, realizing she's going to collide with Lena, uses all her strength to turn her body to grab hold of Lena and then rolls over to absorb the impact of crashing through one of the walls of the bar. Kara lands hard on the floor of the bar jarring Lena loose from her grip. Lena, knocked cold from the impact, rolls to Kara's left.
As Kara tries to shake off the impact of the crash she suddenly begins to feel dizzy, disconnected from the world around her. Her vision begins to blur as a portal opens just outside the hole she and Lena made in the wall, out of which Alex and Kelly appear. Kara fades out as Alex picks up the attack on Brainiac and Kelly rushes inside to check on her and Lena.
As the dust settles from the battle, Alex rushes into the bar, and drops down to her knees next to Kara.
"Kara!", Alex cries frantically, shaking her sister's body. "Kara, wake up! J'onn!"
J'onn steps through the hole in the wall and hurries over to Alex and Kara.
Alex looks at J'onn with a grave look on her face. "I can't wake her up, J'onn!"
J'onn's eyes begin to glow red as he reaches into Kara's mind. "She's in a psychic dream state, but I think I can bring her out."
As the glow in J'onn's eyes intensifies, Kara's body begins to twitch, she snaps into a seated position, her eyes suddenly pop open, and she cries, "Lenaaaa! Noooo!!"
Alex wraps her arms around her sister and says in a scared, but soothing tone, "Kara! She's okay... you both are."
