One day, Makoto Seiko takes refuge from the rain in a Go salon. Before she can leave, she plays a game with none other than the Meijin using her old nickname Zhen Hui. At the end of the game, she flees before she can put down the last stone, the one that will secure her win. Just what is she so scared of? And what does Ya Shu, the Chinese Go prodigy, have to do with her?

Ya Shu was considered a Go genius. Her rise to fame was quick, and she easily attracted respect, power, fame... and enemies. When it got to be too much, she fled from China to her grandparents in Japan, changing her name to Makoto Seiko and swearing to never again play Go. Two years after Shindou Hikaru disappeared from the world's view for reasons unknown to most, he expected a visit from a dear friend. What he did not expect was the appearance of a long lost friend, and subsequently being dragged back into the world he ran away from.

Hikaru doesn't know what the consequences are, but if it's to bring Sai back, then he is willing to pay any price.

Five years later, Touya takes his hand.

The pain that came with being sick when he was younger was enough to scare Kiyoharu into a healthy lifestyle. So, when he starts feeling particularly sick, he has to reschedule all his tournaments and matches. Ko isn't one to show any affection besides lust, but he isn't exactly totally heartless either.

When Waya fools around with Shindou, he figures it's no big deal. He's well aware of Shindou's interest in Touya Akira. If Touya ever figured out his feelings for Shindou, no harm, no foul. When Shindou ups the ante, suddenly, all bets are off. Despite Isumi's concerned advice, Waya wants more. Unfortunately, he's not the only one after Shindou Hikaru, and Touya has the advantage.
