"Welcome to the family" that was the last thing Thomas had said to her when she ran back to give a hug. Thomas laughed a bit at the unexpected gesture. Laura knew that he wouldn't be 'hugging' kind of man, but she decided that she wanted to hug at least one Shelby before she got married to one.

The car was stopping, making it feel a little real what was happening.

"alright dear, you ready?" her father said getting ready to help with her wedding dress from out the car.

Before she could answer the driver had already opened the passenger door open for them. In that moment she felt like a deer in headlights. Right when the driver opened the door that was when she saw everyone.. and they saw her too, even though she had her veil covering her face still. She was hoping that one of her brothers or her father would've been the one to open the door, just so that the first person she saw was someone she knew even if it was for the one second. Right one the driver moved to the side a bit she had made some eye contact with some people but quickly looked back down to her dress. She took a deep breath and smiled up to the driver who gave her a helping hand out of the car.

"hi" Laura smiled and mouthed a silent welcome to her mother once she came to her side. Laura didn't know why she was quiet even though everyone else was talking..

Her mother quickly helping straighten out her dress. She looked behind her while her father handed her mother the end of her dress to her. Now taking a few steps forward for the rest of her dress to come out of the car, Laura tried to keep her attention on her dress. Watching her mother kneel fixing the end of her dress.

"We'll look at you, don't you look beautiful"

Laura looked up and smiled widely. She was never so relieved in seeing someone she had met only last night..

Thomas and her father shook hands, and remembering they were old friends.

"Alright, you ready?" her father smiled ready to walk with her to meet her future husband.

"Oh. Thomas? if it's no trouble. Will you walk with me to him?"

Laura knew that was unexpected from her, but oddly enough would feel more confident if she walked with Thomas to his brother.. she didn't want to scare him off if her father was there. She wanted her groom to be as possibly at ease when they meet.. hoping at least one of them would be at ease.

"We'll if that's alright with you?" Thomas asked her father. Her father smiled and slowly nodded in approval.

Thomas extended his arm out for her to take. She quickly turned her head and quietly said an 'i love you' for her father before she walked off.

Laura looked at the side of dress that she was holding, having now to hold her dress on her own while she walked.

"Do you need help with the dress sweetheart?"

Laura looked up to Thomas and smiled while shaking her head. Thomas Shelby was a tall man.. well she was making it seem like he was uncommonly tall. But to her everyone was.. she was a twenty year old girl who wasn't even five feet..most people thought she was, but we're surprised when she told them that she was four foot ten. Walking side by side with Thomas she was only just barley up to his shoulder.. but just barley. Thanks to her heels that is.

"Thomas?" he looked down, still probably feeling unexpected that she was wanting to rely on him so much.

"I will never forget that you were the one responsible for this happiness and peace." she whispered

Thomas looked down and smiled "We couldn't have done it without you" he whispered back and patted her arm in reassurance.

Her smile slowly faded once she was met with another Shelby..

"oh shoot.." she thought. Another Shelby.. but not just another Shelby.. the one where she would get her new last name from.

If only she remembered his first name!

She couldn't believe herself, she said his name his name all the time back at home. But it was it was not coming to her for the life of her.

Here she the thought she was going to be nervous about them actually seeing each other for the first time but now she's just worried that she won't hurt the boys feelings when she won't know what to call him.

Standing only a mere two feet from him.

"This.. this is him" laura thought while she looked at him. Now really looking at him.

Then it just came to her.

"Finn"

His expressionless face changed to a smile once she said his name. She couldn't help but smile and laugh a bit too.. maybe hoping that one day this will be a cute story to tell him.

"So? will he do?" Thomas teased

Laura immediately laughed a little too loud and quickly covered her mouth smiling. She looked back at Thomas and nodded her head earning a round of cheers and claps.

She slowly walked closer to Finn. She gently opened her arms for a hug. She didn't know where this bravery in deciding to hug him came from..

But once he had his arms around her that came with a kiss to her head.. she decided that wherever her bravery came from in that moment.. she was glad it came.

Finn held her hand while walking to the side of the church. They met with the priest while everyone made there way inside. The priest softly smiled towards them.

"They are certainly many people here in Birmingham"

Laura just smiled and nodded.

"I've never seen the church with people from around the world, and I believe that you came from Spain?"

"Just barely made it here" the priest smiled at her little joke.

The priest then went on how once everyone took there seats that her and Finn will enter.

".. then once before you take your vows that's when you'll take her veil up. Don't worry i'll let you when to"

Laura looked up at Finn and smiled at how he was already looking at her.

"Alright. we're beginning, follow me"

Taking her by surprise when Finn took her hand again while they walked behind the priest inside. Finn walked ahead of her and helped her up the small steps up the alter.

"The grace of our lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the holy spirit be with you" there was a brief pause of silence before he spoke on.

"In the presence of the father,son and the holy spirit. We have come together to witness the marriage of Finn Shelby and Laura Gallardo to pray for gods blessings on them. To share their joy and to celebrate their union."

With his powerful words, she realized that there was a change.. the priest said 'to celebrate their union..' it was suppose to be to celebrate their love..

"Finn and Laura, the vows you are about to take are to be made in the presence of God. Who is judge of all and knows off all the secrets of our hearts" he then motioned Finn to turn and to pull her veil from her face.

They both turned to each other and Finn pulled up her veil.

"Hi" laura mouthed and gently smiled once her veil was out of her face.

Finn smiled back

"Finn. Will you take Laura to be your wife? Will you love her, comfort her , honor and protect her? and forsaking all other, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live"

"I will"

Laura almost lost her breath when he said those two words.

"I will" she said breathlessly when it was her turn

"Finn and Laura I know invite you to join hands and make your vows in the presence of god and his people"

Finn then took both of her hands in his and repeated there vows. Laura felt like it was a dream after every sentence he repeated from the priest. When it was her turn to speak she had to take a quiet deep breath to sound confident when she repeated her vows too.

"You may now kiss the bride"

Laura noticed how big Finns eyes got a little big when it was that part. She smiled and nodded in approval. Still holding both of her hands he bent down and kissed her.
