A cold set in amongst Fairy Tail. Everyone knew what that meant, everyone but the new member, Lucy.

"Brr… why is it so cold all of a sudden" Lucy asked Natsu, who was busy eating a flame?

Natsu grinned, he hadn't seen Jack in a while and was ready to challenge him to a fight. "You'll see… he's back"

The doors opened to reveal Jack Frost, he walked in with a smile plastered on his face. He pulled out a hand and waved. "Yo!"

'OMG! OMG! Its Jack Frost! Ranked Number One in Mages you want to be your boyfriend' Lucy fangirled as he walked towards her.

"A new member? What's your name?" He asked her, which made her nervous.

'He's speaking to me! OMFG!' she thought as she shook with excitement. Out of a fit of joy and nervousness she bowed. "I'm Lucy! Nice to meet you!"

Jack smiled and patted her head. "Nice to meet you Lucy, I'm Jack Frost"

"JACK FIGHT ME!" Natsu shouted, attempting to jump and punch the taller man. He failed as he found himself glued to the floor by several layers of ice.

"Maybe another time Natsu" he said, patting the dragon slayer's head as well.

"Took you a while to show up you brat!" Makarov said from his usual spot at the bar.

"Yeah, go to your party you old geezer… I'll look after the kids" Jack said, shooing the old man away.

"Don't you mean Erza will watch us while you two do gooey eyes with each other?" Romeo, the son of Macao asked as Makarov hopped down from his seat.

Jack smiled as he walked past his guild master, taking a seat at the bar as Makarov left the building. "Hey! I do not make gooey eyes at Erza thank you very much! I make flirty eyes!"

Romeo looked at Jack with disgust. "Ew… girls are gross"

That earnt him a slap from a girl his age. "Idiot! Jack is handsome and love is awesome! AND GIRLS ARE NOT GROSS!"

Jack chuckled at the antics of Wakaba's kid. She was a recent addition to the guildhall, having brown hair like her father and an obsession with Jack. "Maaa, Maki… you don't need to go slapping Romeo every time he says something you don't like"

"O-okay. I'll apologise if you teach me more Ice Magic"

Jack smiled. "Sure"

"SHE'S BACK!" Loke yelled in fear as he ran away from the door. Almost everyone shuddered in fear.

"Everyone! Act natural!" someone shouted as the guild went deadly silent. Lucy looked at everyone, confused as to why people were shaking in their boots.

"You guys make such a deal about Erza, she's not that bad" Jack complained taking a sip out of his cup.

Natsu was about to shout at Jack but he heard her footsteps, he bit his tongue. Her shadow loomed in the hall, accompanied by what seemed to be a massive horn?

She entered the guild and placed down said horn, making the guild shudder.

"Erza… what is that massive thing?"

"Does it disturb you?" She asked, she was really proud of this trophy and was thinking of hanging this up somewhere.

"Not at all"

"I heard some rumours during my absence, that Fairy Tail has been causing more trouble! Master may not care you but I will do!" Erza said as everyone gulped.

She pointed to Cana. "Cana how dare you drink dressed like that"

"Vieeter… Dance Outiside"

"Wakaba… I see cigarette buts on the floor"

"Nab… Pick a job"

"Macao… Honestly you cause so much trouble. I'll be kind and say nothing for today"

Erza turned around to see her little brother figures. "Natsu and Gray!"

"H-hi Erza. We're good buddies as usual!" Gray said, sweating bullets while shaking hands with Natsu.

"Aye"

Erza smiled looking at them being best buddies. "I see, its natural for good friends to fight sometimes too. That said I like seeing you two getting along like this"

"Hey honey, how was work?" Jack asked sipping on his drink.

"And you!" Erza said pointing at Jack, sending him a glare. "You froze an entire town!"

"Hey it's not my fault I sneezed okay" Jack said, trying to justify what happened.

Erza bonked him on the head. "Its okay to be sick and have a day or two off… don't work yourself too much"

Jack nodded; it was true that his sneeze froze an entire town. He was surprised when Erza held out a handkerchief in front of him with her face looking elsewhere. Jack could faintly see the blush on her cheeks. "T-take this dummy, I don't want to see you sick"

Jack smiled as he grabbed the handkerchief. "Thanks dear"

"I-Idiot!" Erza cursed turning around and punching Jack in the face, sending him crashing into the bar. "People will get the wrong idea!"

Jack groaned, he forgot that Erza could somehow punch him and bypass his elemental body in situations like these.

"Jack… I'm taking Natsu and Gray for a mission" Erza stated before walking away.

"A-Aye"

Many days later, the news of Aizenwald and Lullaby attacking the Guild Master's conference spread like wildfire, subsequently all those involved where mentioned and hailed as heroes. Which would draw attention to the council and their lack of control over dark guilds. Which caused this situation, interrupting the fight between Erza and Natsu.

Jack sighed. Erza had just been arrested, usually he could use his authority as a wizard saint to nullify any accusations, but this was different. If a frog messenger came, he had no authority to stop it.

"C'mon Red, lets go to the magic council" Jack grunted out as he watched the frog slap some cuffs onto Erza.

"Saint Frost! W-with all due respect" the frog person said with a shaky voice.

Jack held out his hand, silently gesturing for the keys. "I'll take her there… it would be safer"

"Of course" the frog person said sighing in defeat, handing over the key to the Wizard Saint. While he couldn't nullify the arrest, he could personally escort her to the court.

Jack grinned as he walked over to Erza and proceeded to throw her over his shoulder.

"J-Jack!" Erza shouted with a blush.

"See ya!" Jack said with a grin and a slight blush. He and Erza then vanished into thin air.

Jack placed Erza down, noticing the blush that spread across her cheeks.

"D-don't ever do something like that in front of people again!" she commanded, which lost all its affect when directed at Jack.

He chuckled and leant next to her ear. "What's this about not doing it in front of people hmm?"

Erza jumped back and turned around. "l-lets just get this trial over with"

"Haha! Let's" Jack said as he felt a magical presence attempt to sneak up on them. He requiped his katana and pointed the blade where the person was forming,

"To think that you would sense my presence before I manifested, I find that impressive Jack Frost" the thought projection of Segrigan said with a smile which made Jack slightly uncomfortable and Erza take a step back defensively.

"I feel like your presence here is unnecessary Saint Segrigan, unless you wanted to inform us of something… which given you history with Erza would probably point towards you setting up this trial" Jack summarized as he walked though the though projection.

"My, now I am beyond impressed Saint Frost!" the blue haired man mocked as Jack put a hand on his shoulder. Closing the distance between them in an instant.

"I will allow you to talk to Erza, but remember I can always dispel you" Jack stated, allowing Jellal to walk past him.

"I came to see you before the trial for but one reason…" He watched as the blue haired man grabbed Erza's chin and leant in to tell her something without Jack hearing, the way he grabbed her irked Jack, it was like he was touching something that wasn't his.

'Shit… I really am possessive' Jack thought as he listened in to the conversation.

"Don't tell the geezers about you know what… for both of our sakes"

Jack watched on with a glare as he walked away from her.

"Well I'll be waiting for you beyond the door" he said as the thought projection vanished.

Erza looked relieved.

Jack walked over and brought her head into his chest. Silence ensued for a second before Erza sighed. She looked up at Jack and put on a smile that he knew was fake. "I really need to sort out myself."

"So do I" Jack replied as an image of Laxus flashed through his head. He broke their embrace, turned around and opened the doors for to the trial room and watched as Erza walked in.

Jack watched as 'Erza' AKA Natsu dressed up as Erza, destroyed his way into the trail chamber.

"Natsu… you idiot" He sighed, freezing the wizard in place.

"I'M NOT NATSU! IM ERZA!" Natsu yelled into the ground.

Jack looked up at the wizard council members and yawned. "My apologies"

The grand wizard, or that's what Jack thought he was called sighed. "Take them to the cells"

"Of course" Jack said with a sigh as he hurled Natsu over his shoulder.

"C'mon Red, lets get this over with"

Jack groaned as he looked at the magical letter that Makarov had sent him. "Who the fuck is Kageyama and why do I have to play bodyguard?"

"I-I'm Kageyama" a voice stated from behind bars, prompting Jack to walk over to the cell which only held him.

"Hi Kageyama! I'm Jack Frost! Your new bodyguard!" He greeted while unlocking the cell door.

He placed the letter inside the cell while clicking, turning Kageyama's restraints into bubbles. "You got the attention of Master, which is a good thing for you! As a lesser sentence, you are serving parole under me as a member of Fairy Tail until such time that we decide you can become a member of society again"

He watched the raven haired recruit nod as he got up from his cross legged sitting position.

"Erza, Natsu! I'm going back to the guild! Take care!" Jack shouted as he placed a hand on the shoulder of Kageyama.

"I'm sleepy" Makarov said with a yawn as everyone else started to feel the same. Well mostly everyone else. Jack just blinked, blissfully unaware of anything as everyone save from Makarov fell into a deep sleep.

"Mystogan, can't you just use and illusion spell to make yourself invisible to others?" Jack asked as he started to play with a large snowflake he had made seconds before.

The ninja mage appeared without saying a word. Walking over to grab a job from the board. Mystogan then stopped in front of him and reached into his bag, pulling out some ingots.

Out of the corner of his eye, Jack noticed that Natsu and Grey where only kneeling, and that Erza was slowly moving her head up to look at the masked figure.

"I can't allow anyone to see my face, you know this Jack" Mystogan said in a distorted voice as he left the guild hall, releasing his sleep magic.

Jack smiled as he watched Erza stand up, she managed to stay awake during this whole ordeal. Which showed her growth into a powerful mage hadn't stopped.

"Who was that?" Lucy asked as everyone else started to wake up.

"That was Mystogan… nobody but our master knows what he looks like" Gray stated.

Laxus came from the back of the upstairs bar and leant on the balcony overlooking the main bar. "No. I do"

"Laxus!"

"This is rare!"

Gray looked up at Laxus and narrowed his eyes slightly. "Another candidate for strongest member"

"Mystogan is shy, Don't pry" Laxus advised.

Natsu woke up and was ready to pick a fight. "Laxus? FIGHT ME!"

The blonde scoffed. "You don't stand a chance against me if you can't beat mere Erza"

Aura exploded from Erza, causing those closest to sweat. "What does that mean?"

"I mean I am the strongest" Laxus said with pride, causing Jack to sigh.

"What about Master? Or Guildarts? Have you even caught up to me?" Jack asked turning around to look up at Laxus.

"What of them? One is an old man? Another is on a quest that takes 100 years!" Laxus stated, a grin warping onto his face "Soon, I will prove that I am the strongest… brother"

Jack smiled, at least he could call him brother again, even if it was in a warped way. "Just don't do anything reckless yeah?"

Laxus walked away from the balcony, smiling.

Jack started to walk out of the building, he was in a good mood, and a job with the new recruit would best be done in a good mood. "I need some fresh air, Kageyama! Pick a job, let's do it"

The shadow mage nodded, picking a random quest from the board, and running out after Jack.

Lucy looked away from where Jack and Kageyama had just been, then to Gray. "Where does Jack sit in all of this?"

Gray hummed for a second and was about to answer but was cut off by Erza. "He's the strongest mage we have on call right now"

"What? Really?" Lucy asked causing Makarov to nod.

"There's a reason why he's the higher-ranking Wizard Saint"
