Disclaimer: I do not own the Harry Potter novels, the MCU or any of the characters therein. Nor, sadly, do I make any money from the posting of this story.
Hey, just a head's up for some minor spoilers. I kept the story to where I heard the MCU was going. As for what does or doesn't happen in WandaVision, I didn't want to give away all the secrets, but at the same time…well, you know. It was Agatha all along.
Hello! Long time, no post. Thanks to all who have been reviewing my stories. I'm sorry I haven't been replying to them. I'll be trying to keep up with the reviews here. This is just a small one-shot to help pass the time. Enjoy.

A Conversation
Hermione stepped into the black and white world of Wanda Maximoff's making with a feeling of unease. Her clothes changed to that of the early 1960's and her hair, unruly and overall a mess, went into an impossible updo that would have never worked for her in real life.
"Where are you, Aggie?" she muttered to herself, as she looked around the small very neat neighborhood.
After a moment or two of looking about, Hermione really had to wonder how no one could tell this whole place wasn't real. She seriously doubted there was a single real plant there. Absently she looked down at the hedge she was standing next to and could see that the leaves were plastic.
"What are you doing here?" came from behind her.
The British witch turned to face Agatha Harkness, who was glaring at her.
"Really, Aggie?" she drawled. "You know I'm not here to stop any plan you have going, but did you really think I wouldn't be asking you what you were about?"
Agatha rolled her eyes, muttering, "Must you call me that?"
"Very well, I won't do so again," Hermione agreed. "Now do be a dear and at least offer me a coffee so we can have a sit down and you can tell me what's going on?"
Looping her arm around Hermione's, she smiled as she said, "Okay, I'll tell you! I've been dying to tell someone what was going on. And it might as well be you."
"I can't tell you just how thrilled I am at that prospect," Hermione said so dryly that it had Agatha laughing.
…
Hermione's jaw could have hit the linoleum tile with what Agatha had just told her. Setting her coffee cup down, she leaned back in her chair and just stared at the witch in front of her.
"Merlin, what are you thinking?" Hermione breathed, as she felt the dismay over what she was told sicken her.
"She needs to learn!" Agatha snapped.
"But to play with her grief in such a way is wrong! You know it is. So don't give me that look!"
Agatha's eyes narrowed, as power built within her.
"And heaven help you if you try anything," Hermione said coolly. "I may be neutral, but that in no way means I cannot and will not protect myself."
Cursing to herself, Agatha let the power dispel. "Very well, I'll play nice with you."
"Oh lucky me," she stated, but then frowned and inquired, "How is it that you're able to get away with what you're doing? Wanda isn't a fool."
"No, but she isn't exactly sane either," the American witch replied.
"Let me get this correct," Hermione muttered, "You did all this…" She waved about the kitchen and the television world at large. "…to a woman deep in grief with mental issues on top of all that so that you can have her learning how to access and use her powers to your liking?" She looked to the older witch saying, "Something tells me that she isn't the only individual with mental issues here." Getting to her feet, she straightened out her dress. "I truly don't know what to say without sounding like a fool or just sanctimonious. I'll just do my best in saying what I must." She leaned down and looked into Agatha's hard eyes, "I don't think you're doing the right thing. There has to be a better way to get to her powers. As for training, you know there are schools. And she would be more than welcomed into any of them, I might add."
"Not everyone needs or wants that," Agatha hissed at her.
"I'm very well aware of that," she answered, standing up straight. "But I can't help but to think this plan of yours is going to bite you on your bum." Stepping back from Agatha, she went on to say, "I'm not going to wish you well, but I'll at least hope that it's not going to turn out as badly as I think it will."
Hermione turned to leave when Agatha, called out, "Why?"
She stopped at looked over to the other woman, as if to inquire what she meant.
"Why are you hoping that it's not going to turn out as badly as you think?"
Swallowing thickly, she replied, "Because if she's as powerful as indicated back at the DoM, her power spike at the time of release alone could destroy a good part of the planet." Agatha blanched at those words. "Or did you not think of that before you started this mad cap scheme?"
"It's worth it," she breathed.
"Says who?" Hermione demanded. "You, who wants to feed off of her newly released power or you, who actually wants something good to come of it?" Crossing her arms over her chest, the American witch didn't say anything. But it was clear that she was thinking over her words. "Let me leave you with a very important fact." She looked up and waited, "The multiverse is on the verge of crashing. I can feel it. So can many others around the universe. For the love of all that's important, don't push it past the breaking point!"
"I haven't the power to make it collapse in such a fashion, Hermione. You know I don't!"
"That's just it, Agatha. Right now, just about anything can cause it. That's why I came here. To warn you to stop if you can." There was a ripple in the building they were in. "Merlin, there's going to be a change here soon. I best be off. Stay safe and do think over what you're about with this notion of yours."
Hermione was gone, leaving Agatha thinking over her plan. True, she was staying the course, but it didn't stop her from thinking it over once more.
The End!

And there you go! I hoped that you liked it. There are no other plans for Hermione to be joining WandaVision. This one-shot just popped into my head and wouldn't go away until I wrote it up. Thanks for reading and I hope you all are staying awesome!
