One Piece: Sunshine Island - Ch. 4 The Chase and the Surprise Revelation

Back on the beach, Robin, wearing a black two bikini was laying on her stomach on her beach towel, reading the middle section of her latest book.

Shielded underneath the shade from the beach umbrella she'd set up with, Zoro sat next to her, rubbing sunblock on her back, moaning contentedly, feeling the swordsman's strong delicate hand gently massaging her back.

"Thanks, Zoro," she said soothingly. "That feels so good."

Zoro blushed slightly by the archeologist's relaxing tone, but gave a smiling smirk.

"Yeah, no problem, cherry blossom."

Usopp in the meantime was working on the greatest sandcastle he'd ever built. While Sanji was grilling up the meats, and vegetables. Chopper on the other hand was collecting some seashells, placing them in a beach pail bucket. Franky was making some tweaks and adjustments on his 'Franky-Jet-Surf Board' before he stop to take a nice cola break.

Brook was only sitting by the shore, practicing his new inspirational song as he writes them down on a pad of paper.

It seems so peaceful for them...but it is not complete without the rest half of the crew.

Truth be told in fact that it had been well over several hours since Luffy, Nami, Blizzard, Aika, and Kumi left into the island's jungle, and was almost noontime...they've haven't arrived back. Where were they?

"Do you think they're okay out there, Robin," Chopper asked. "I'm starting to get worried about them."

Robin gives the little reindeer a reassuring smile, petting his little head.

"Don't you worry about that, Chopper. I'm pretty sure they're doing just fine, out there.

"Yeah, Robin's right," Usopp added. "And knowing, Luffy and Aika, I'm certain they'll come racing down for Sanji's barbeque. I mean it's not like they're in danger or anything, eh guys?"

Everyone turns their gazes at the sniper.

"What?" Asked Usopp.

Oh, boy was Usopp ever so right about that fact, Luffy and Nami, riding horseback on the wolf-dog along with Aika and Kumi as they've managed to rescued Aika and Kumi from the horde of tribal coconut men as they're cornered, trapping them near rock wall and before they get the jump on them, the straw hat boy stretches his arms to grab and yank them both in.

Nami held both wolf-girl and her Akita pup close into her arms, shielding them, while Blizzard dashes through the jungle forest, jumping over logs and brushing through the foliage. The raging tribal coconuts throw spears and other sources of makeshift weapons at them, which the white wolf-dog avoided from stabbing them.

"KYAAAHHH!" Nami shrieked when ducked her head down from an incoming spear thrown at her.

"Can somebody please tell me what in Whitebeard's ghost have you two gotten yourselves into?!" Blizzard shouted.

"Yeah," Nami added. "What are these things?! I thought this whole island wasn't habited by anything!"

"Whatever they are, they're sure a bunch of fast, angry coconuts," Luffy said.

"Blizzard, can't you go any faster?!"

"I'm going as fast as I can, Nami!" Blizzard said in his thoughts. "Cut me so slack back there, will ya?!"

"Well, move faster!" Kumi cried with a comical fright expression on her face.

"They're gaining on us, and I don't want to become puppy chow!"

"Just why the hell are they Aika and Kumi?" The navigator asked.

"Because they want the gem flower you've given me, Big Sis," Aika said. "They've been trying to steal it from me."

"Like hell if going to let them take my boyfriend's present to be taken by a bunch of stupid coconuts!" Nami protested. "Well, I've got something for them!"

Taking out her Sorcery Clima-Tact and aims its tip at them.

"Milky Ball!" She shouted as she shot out some clouds, blocking their path. "And that care of that!"

"Yay," Aika and Kumi cheered. "We're in the clear!"

"Wouldn't say we're in the clear, guys." Blizzard quoted with dread.

"Why," Nami asked which of course she should've, as they're about to run right to a steep hill. "Oh, god! B-Blizzard! STOP! HEEL!"

Blizzard immediately braked to a stop, barely going over the edge of a dead hollow tree, leaning over the ledge.

"Phew," Nami sighed. "That was close."

Before she can finish her sentence, a loud 'CRACK!' erupted.

The wood from the old tree started to splinter and snap in half due to the canine's weight, along with Luffy, Herself, Aika, and Kumi's. "Eep!... Oh, boy...!" Nami whimpered.

Kumi's eyes grew wider as saucers, clenching her teeth. "Mommy!"

Luffy on the other hand wasn't fazed by this at all, as his grin grow ever much wider.

"Oh, yeah! This going to be a bumpy ride!" Luffy giggles in pure excitement.

Aika, like her half-brother, was equally excited, but she held onto Nami tightly nonetheless.

"Luffy, one of these days you're going to be the death of mmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Blizzard screamed.

The tree goes crashing down, sliding downward with intense speed, as if they're riding on it like a sled, leaving trail dirt behind.

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Nami and Kumi screamed with comically tears in their eyes.

"WAAAAHHH-WHOOOOO!" Both Luffy and Aika cheered.

They careered downward, tearing through many trees and brushes as the log finally collided against a large rock, flinging them up in the air. If that wasn't bad enough, They were about to fall straight at deadly sharp rocks.

"LUFFFFFFYYYYYYYY!"

"BIG BROTHER!"

"We're dead! WE'RE SO DEAD!" Kumi hollered, placing both paws together, started praying.

Luffy instantly takes a deep breath.

"GUM-GUM BALLOON!"

The captain shouted, inflating his stomach, managing to block them, saving Nami, Aika, Blizzard, and Kumi in the process.

"Thanks, Luffy, that was a too-close of a call there." She said, hung her head down, sighed in relief.

"Yay," Aika giggled. "That was fun! Let's do that again!"

"I think one ride for a customer is enough, dear." Nami nervously chuckled.

"Agreed," Let's never do that again, like...EVER!" The white wolf-dog groan sickly, as he feels like he's about to barf his guts out.

They hop off Luffy's bloated belly before he deflated back to his normal size. The raven-haired boy approached his little sister and his girlfriend/navigator.

"Aika, Nami, are you two okay?" Luffy asked.

"Yeah." Both replied giving him a reassuring nod.

The sense of relief was cut short, the kakamoras manage to break through Nami's cloudy wall which they charges at them.

Aika gasped before she hid behind Nami, while Kumi followed suit. Luffy slowly treads towards the army of tribal coconut men.

"Blizzard, keep Aika, and Kumi safe," Luffy ordered to his loyal wolf-dog which he obligated to do so.

Luffy gives a death glare at the kakamoras, unleashing a burst of his Conqueror's Haki.

Though it did manage to knock out half of them, more were coming.

"Luffy, leave this half to me!" Nami cried out rushing past him, with her Sorcery Clima-Tact at the ready.

She then released a chain of Weather Balls with black clouds inside them.

"Black Ball...RAIUN ROD!" She shouted before she swung the chain at the kakamoras, electrocuting them.

"WOO-HOO!" Luffy cheered praising his beloved navigator. "Way to smoked those coconuts, Nami!

"Ah shucks, you're just flattering me!" Nami blushed.

Once that was done, Luffy turned to Aika hiding behind Blizzard along with Kumi.

"It's alright, you two!" Luffy called out to her.

"It's safe now," Nami reassured Aika, while she puts her Clima-Tact away. "You can come out."

"Is it over?" Aika whimpered, peering out a half.

"Yep," Luffy grinned. "Those stupid coconuts won't bother you, anymore."

"Still, it makes me wonder," Nami said looking over the coconut men, scattered around, all charred and simmered. "The old man back at Angel Grove said the island was uninhabited."

"Yeah, now that ya mention," Luffy added, tilting his head. "Maybe he'd lied?"

"I don't think they're residents from here, Luffy."

This information from the white wolf-dog caught their attention.

"What do you mean, Blizzard?" Nami asked. "Are you certain these strange creatures are not the inhabitants of this island?"

"I'm positive," the canine answered. "My scent can't tell a lie and if my suspicions are correct, I'm getting the feeling that they're pirates themselves."

Everyone's mouths gaped way down to this revelation.

"WHAT?!" They exclaimed. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"

"Uh, you know I'm a few feet away from you guys, no need to shout..." Blizzard said with a deadpan tone.

"This isn't good," Nami worriedly whispered. "If what Blizzard saying is true, then we're all in big trouble."

She then kneels to reach, Aika's level, gesturing her to hand the gem flower.

"And judging what Aika told, they won't stop attacking us until they get their hands on this."

"Don't worry," Luffy places his hand on her shoulder, putting on his usual smile. "They won't get their hands on it while I and our friends are around, right?"

With that, Nami eyes soften while giving him a sweet smile.

"Thanks, Luffy," She cooed. "You're always that optimistic."

"Shishishishishi!" He chuckled. "You know me well, babe."

"Still, we might have to head back to the Sunny and warn the others, I'm getting the feeling our vacation has gonna a bit of a snag."
