One Piece: Sunshine Island - Ch. 5 Nami Being Attack! The Conflict of the Kakamoras
It was 5 p.m., the sun was slowly setting over the horizon, while Luffy, and his others managed to head back to the Sunny safely while they've give Intels to the rest of the crew on what they've encountered. After explaining every detail to them, half of the Straw Hats were shocked to hear that their other pirates were being inhabited here on the Island.
Usopp's mouth gaped way down that it almost hit the ground.
"You're kidding me, right?!" He said in disbelief. "We're not the only pirates here on this island?!"
"It figures," Zoro said nonchalantly. "There's wasn't any doubt that we've been the only ones here." He takes a sip of his beer.
"Seems like the mayor from 'Angel Grove' didn't mention this island was for all pirates to settle in, mainly some rival ones," Sanji blow a puff of smoke out of his cigarette. "...But seriously, coconut pirates? Never thought in my life hear something that absurd."
Robin glanced over to the navigator, who held Aika close to her arms, stroking her head while the little wolf-girl rest for feeling exhausted after the long trip back to the beach.
"Nami," Robin queried. "Those strange little creatures you, Luffy, and others have encountered, you said they wearing coconuts for armor, right?"
"That's right, Robin," Nami nodded. "And what Blizzard had said, they're no doubt to be pirates. They almost tried to kill poor Aika and Kumi trying to get the gem flower Luffy gave me." She then lowered down on the young D. carrier, her head resting comfortably on her breasts like a pillow as she sneeze. "Poor little girls were nearly got skewered if it hasn't been Luffy, Blizzard and I haven't arrived in time to save them."
"Hmmm," the archaeologist hummed. "I could be wrong, but in my theory, I would think these coconut pirates were indeed Kakamoras." She sternly said while observing the hollow coconut armor they salvage back for evidence. "I've readied about them in one of my books. The origins of their race or where they're from are unknown to the world, but they are rare to come by. As you can see, they like to salvage and steal riches everywhere they go and sail through the Blue Sea. Never thought we'd be seeing them here on this island we're in." She then gave everyone an eerie expression on her face.
"Rumors has it that they've eaten the flesh of the victims they've killed~"
Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Kumi, and even Blizzard's faces turned pale (Or fur for Kumi's case, except for Blizzard whose fur is always white.)
"Just kidding, Fufufu~" Robin chuckled.
"NOT FUNNY, ROBIN!" Usopp, Nami, and Chopper comically yelled.
"Yeah, Blizzard barked. "For a moment there, I thought I'd be a roasted dog on a spit if that was true!"
"I mean seriously, Robin, were you trying to scare us?" Nami scolded.
"My deepest apology," Robin giggled in amusement. "Guess I'd gone too far on that."
Zoro couldn't help but chuckle.
"Good one, Robin, you've got them good."
"Why thanks, Zoro~" She smiled over her boyfriend's praise.
"Don't compliment her, Zoro!" Usopp shouted.
Aika moaned restlessly by the loud noises, which Nami soon decided to take the now asleep to bed.
"Oh dear, looks like our little pup is all tuckered out from the journey back here."
"Yeah," Luffy nodded as he stroked her head, brushing her raven-black hair. "I guess it's time for her nap."
"...B...But I'm not sleepy..." The young D. Carrier tiredly said which caused everyone to laugh.
"I'd think you are sweetie," Nami softly smiled. "Now come on, off to bed with you."
With that, Nami carries her adopted little sister towards the Sunny.
"I'll go tuck her in, Luffy. Be right back, okay?"
"Okay." He smiled as he gave the navigator blown a kiss which she chuckles doing the same back at him before she strolls forward to the ship with Kumi following them.

While escorts Aika to her bedroom, gently placing her down and pulling the bedsheets over her, Kumi hops in the foot of her bed, laying down as she curled up as she was fast asleep. The 6-year-old peacefully hugs her pillow as she let out a cute yawn which melts the navigator's heart.
"Sleep tight, sweetheart~" She cooed and peak her on the cheek, she then quietly tip-toed out the door, trying not to wake the little child and close the door behind her.
Once outside on the grassy deck of the ship, Nami looks up to the afternoon sky while leaning over the railing, sighing as her long orange hair flows through the wind.
Thinking over about the whole scenario over the fact they've come across another group of rival pirates on the island they're vacationing on. What's worst is now they're trying to steal the gem flower.
Nami frustratingly wish that she, Luffy, and the others would just catch a break for once without dealing with any other pirates or marines.
Taking the gem flower out of her hair, she looked down on the shiny gem and let out a deep sigh.
'I would just throw this to the sea and save all the trouble,' Nami said in her thoughts.
'But Luffy worked so hard to give me this... I really can't allow any harm to come to my friends, even putting Aika's life at risk again.' She mentally thought to herself.
'Although, I do trust Luffy and our crew to protect us and I be willing to do the same, even if it will cost my life.'
She slip the flower back on her hair, just before she was inches to the gangplank's entrance, she failed to notice a group of Kakamoras was hiding behind the mast, holding ropes and net made out of vines, waiting and taking their time to strike.
Concurrently, the Straw Hat crew (Luffy especially) are just about ready to chow down their evening meal when all suddenly...
"KYAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" A blood curdling scream filled the entire air.
Luffy whipped his head around toward the direction of his girlfriend's screams as Blizzard's head stood up, ears perked high.
"Nami!" The captain whispered worriedly.
"G-Guys, did you all hear that just now?" Usopp asked.
"We did, Usopp," Blizzard sniffed in the air. "That sounded like Nami, And I smell those damn coconut men, again...she'd be in trouble!" The white wolf growled.
"Nami's in trouble?!" Sanji growled as his eyes set ablaze. "If anyone harms a single hair on her, they will be answering to my flaming foot!"
"Not when I'm around, Sanji," Luffy gritted his teeth. "Cause I'll be doing the same thing whenever my girl is in trouble!"
Luffy saddle up on Blizzard's back.
"Let's ride, boy!"
"Right!" He barked, trotted off while the others followed after him to the Sunny.
"Come on," Sanji dashes off in hot pursuit. "Let's go save Nami!"
"RIGHT!" They all shouted as they race towards the ship

Back on the ship, Nami was on the floor, enveloped from their net as she squirms about to get herself free. But this, however, proves to be futile become the little pests start to swarm on top of her, pinning her down despite how small they are, she felt like she's being pressed down in a place like cider blocks.
After that, the Kakamoras start to bound her up with their ropes.
'Ugh! C-Can't move!' She thought out loud. 'How can these things so small can be so heavy?! It's like they're made of stone or something!'
Nami desperately tries again to get herself free, but alas, her legs and arms are tied up.
To make matters worst, the Kakamoras began to do a thorough search from top to bottom on Nami's body, which flushes violently red on her face while they go underneath her shirt, crawling into her breasts. Nami moans uncomfortably, feeling her melon being harassed.
"N-N-NO! Stop it! GET THE HELL OUT MY SHIRT, YOU PERVS!" Nami shouted. SOMEBODY HELP ME!"
The poor navigator haplessly lays there, unable to do anything but prayed for Luffy and the others to come to save in time, until...
"HEY!" A voice shouted out to which Nami herself knows deeply well who it belongs to.
The Kakamoras stopped, turns over toward the captain and crewmates standing by the entrance of the gangplank, all glaring at them,
"Get your sticky little hands off my GIRLFRIEND, YOU COCONUT BASTARDS!"
"LUFFY!" Nami happily exclaimed. "Everyone!"
"The Kakamoras!" Robin gasped.
"So those are the little bastards that try to harm Nami and Aika?!" Sanji said with bitterness in his voice.
"I'll make sure to turn every one of those pint-sized punks into coconut cocktails!"
With that, his feet were set ablaze before he rushed head-on towards them with passion burning through his eyes.
"Hold on Nami-swan, we're coming!"
Sanji then used his signature attack of the 'Party Table Kick Course', knocking out the Kakamoras, sending them all flying off overboard of the ship.
Luffy and the others rushed over to help Nami out of the net, which the straw hat boy held his hand by her cheeks.
"Are you okay, dear?" Luffy asked with a concerned tone. "Are you hurt?"
"Yes, I'm alright, Luffy," She smiled with relief upon seeing her boyfriend/captain. "I'm just glad you and everyone are here."
She stood up only with Luffy holding her close to his arms, shielding her from any harm's way which made Nami shade a little pink on her cheeks.
"L-Luffy?"
"I'm sorry...I should've gone with you. Is Aika safe as well?"
"Yeah, she's safe in her room, sleeping," Nami assured him. "I just hope we all don't wake her."
"Nah, don't worry about it," He laughed. "Aika will be sleeping like a pup!"
"That's cause she is a pup, idiot~" Nami giggled, giving him a loving pinch on his cheek, tugging and stretching it before letting it go with a smack which cause Luffy to chuckle at his beloved navigator.
"U-uh, g-g-g-guys," Usopp stuttered, his voice sounding shaken in fear. "I'd think they've brought reinforcements!"
And sure enough, more Kakamoras come in a fleet of rafts, tossing their grappling hooks to attach the railing as they start climbing aboard the Sunny.
"WAAAAAHHHH!" Chopper squealed, flailing his arm like mad. "They're all coming aboard! What do we do?!"
His question was immediately answered when Zoro brandish both his 'Sandai Kitetsu and Shusui, placing the Wado Inchimonji on his mouth, readying his fight stance.
"Three-Sword-Style: BLACK ROPE DRAGON TWISTER!"
Zoro shouted, spins his swords, creating a dragon-like whirlwind, sucking up the Kakamoras inside while beeping slashed before they were blown away. However more kept coming. That was Usopp as he ready his Black Kabuto.
"Certain Death: Green Star...BAMBOO JAVELIN!" Shoots a Pop Green down at the grassy deck, unleashing stalks of bamboos sticks out of the ground that sends them flying high up in the air.
"Yo, bro," Franky exclaimed. "Careful, can't have holes on my ship to patch up!"
"Sorry," Usopp apologetically said, grinning sheepishly. "But this next one won't cause too much damage." He then pulls out a black pellet and pulls the straps of his slingshot.
"Now, Special Oil Star!" He shouted as it splatter all over the ground as Kakamoras one by one, slipped and fell, leaving immobilized.
"Okay, Frank, fire it up!" Usopp signal the cyborg.
"You got it, long nose bro," Franky replied as he raised her left arm. "Weapons Left: COUP DE VENT!" Franky roared, firing a blast of compressed air, sending more Kakamoras flying off the railings before they've splashed into the water.
However, more starting come from the Portside of the ship, charging at them armed to the teeth with their spear and clubs.
"Geez, those little buggers just kept coming!" Usopp complained.
"I'll handle this," Blizzard jumps in, charging at the horde of coconut men. "Twister Fang!" He begins to spin horizontally as his haki imbed fangs shatters their coconut armors to pieces, leaving the little naked exposed bodies, scurry away.
"Huh," Luffy tilts his head. "So that's what they looked like without those coconuts? Shishishishi!" The captain laughs at how ridiculous they've to look butt-naked.
But there was no time for laughs and jokes as more were coming aboard the ship. This time they start surrounding the group.
"Mil Fleur!" Robin crosses her arms together. "Gigantesco Mano...SLAP!" She shouted as she grew giant pair of arms appeared and slapped the Kakamoras, sending them rolling like bowling balls, knocking the others like pins.
"Hmm," Zoro hummed with a proud smirk formed on his face. "That's my girl." He praised.
"Hehe," Robin smiled. "Thanks, handsome." She then winks at him, causing a shade of pink on his cheek.
"Damn Moss-Head!" Whispers sternly. "Always getting that affection all to himself."
Sanji makes a few flaming roundhouse kicks, fending off each Kakamoras lounging left and right, but the notorious chef was too quick for them, dodging throwing spears.
"Collier STRIKE!" Sanji roared as he gives several more flaming kicks at their faces, leaving burned foot marks on them. "Such annoyance!" He puffed a cloud of smoke from his cigarette.
"Time to teach these little pervs a lesson for touching me," Nami growled, putting together her trademark Sorcery Clima-Tact. "Weather egg!" She shouted, releasing an egg from the tip of her tact as it goes up to the air. "Now hatch a thundercloud!" She command.
The egg cracks and opens up, releasing a big dark thundercloud with lighting charging up.
"Stand back, everyone!" Nami she warned which prompted the whole crew to take cover.
"THUNDER BREEZE TEMPO!" She shouted, swinging her tact down as it blast a single lightning bolt, striking down on the hordes, delivering a huge devastating electoral discharge, frying them to a black crisp.
"Hmph," She scoffed, resting her Clima-Tact over her shoulder. "That's what you all get."
"Way to go, my tangerine!" Luffy cheered, which made the orange-haired navigator fluster her cheeks, placing her hand on her left cheek as she makes a bashful expression.
"Awwww stop it, Luffy, Nami cooed. "Quit with your fluttering, idiot!" She giggled.
Their lovey-dovey moment was interrupted however when more Kakamoras was about to get the drop on her, but Luffy without hesitation charges towards her with great speed.
"NAMI, MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" He shouted, which prompted her to dodge out of the way for him to unleash Haki impeding his attack. "Gum-GUUUUM...Gatling!"
WHAM-WHAM-WHAM-WHAM! Luffy punched the Kakamoras away.
"Phew!" Nami sighed before smiling at her boyfriend/captain. "Thanks, Luffy."
"Hee," He grinned, as he cracks his knuckles. "No problem, sweetheart. Now stand back"
Luffy bites the tip of his thumb, blowing to enlarge his right arm while coating it with Armament Haki for good measure as he pulls his arm far behind.
"Now GUM-GUUUUM...ELEPHANT GUN!"
BLAM!
With one single punch, all the Kakamoras all caught in the blow of his gigantic fist, sending them all flying very high up before they are far out in the distance with a twinkle in the sky.
"Well that takes care of that," The Straw Hat captain said, dusting off his hands. "I mean those coconut dudes are such a pain in our asses."
"You're telling me, Luffy." Blizzard agreed. "First they've attacked Aika and Kumi for that flower gem and then they try to kidnap Nami for it. Those Kakamora Pirates sure are something we've never faced."
"Yeah," He stretched his arms out. "Boy, all that fighting sure worked me up an appetite. Let's eat!"
With that, Luffy takes off leaving the others behind on the deck. Nami just stood there, shaking her head as she smiled at his goofy, glutton boyfriend running off back to the beach where the barbeque awaits. Blizzard just facepalmed with his paw in disgust by his owner's hungry antics while the rest crew laugh.
However, the captain comes to a stop as his eyes went wide as he tensed up. He sense something through his Observation Haki that something huge was coming this way.
"Luffy?" Nami asked worriedly, slowly approaching over to him as she had a gut feeling that whatever he is sensing, isn't going to be good at all. "W-What is it?" She asked again, sounding more shaken in her voice.
Luffy's eyes narrowed towards the deeply at the foliage. "Something large, and powerful is coming our way." He then positions himself in his fight stance.
"Nami, you and the others stay put on the Sunny, this something you guys can't handle against," He said stoically. "I'd sense much Haki in this one."
Nami at first was shaken by what he is depicting but calms down as she placed her hand on his right side shoulder, prompting him to look over to her.
"Be careful." She whispered, then leans over to kiss him on the lip as a wish for luck.
"Hehe," The rubber boy chuckled, giving her a reassuring grin. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Besides, this is nothing I'd can't handle, right?"
Nami nodded and takes off, heading back to the ship with the others.
Soon the ground started to shake, hearing booming coming from the distance.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Everyone hears thunderous footsteps, causing Usopp, Chopper, and Brook in their bones (No pun intended) while Zoro, Robin, Sanji, Blizzard, and Franky stood calmly by. Nami was a bit shaken in fear, not because of whatever it was that is coming, but deeply scared for Luffy's sake upon what he was about to face.
'Luffy, please be okay.' Nami said mentally.
Sounds of trees crackling and torn as the booming grew louder indicating that it was getting closer and closer.
Luffy readied himself as he which up to his Second Gear, his body glowed pink with steam resonating out of him. Finally, a large mast emerges from foliage, and what surprised the Straw Hats, even the captain himself is stunned by what they're witnessing.
What sees in their eyes that makes it pop out was a massive giant Kakamora that looks about 310 centimeters, and just like the others, it wears coconut armor. The only difference compared to the rest of Kakamoras was the fact it was wearing a sea shell crown on top of its head, a cape made out all sorts of foliage from the island, and held a massive spike club on his right hand. It let out an earth-shattering roar which causes everyone to cover their ears. Usopp, Chopper, and Brook all huddle together screaming comically in fright upon seeing this giant monster.
"Wha... wha... What the hell is that thing?!" Zoro's stuttered.
"It must be the Kakamora King," Robin confirmed calmly, despite she's a bit stunned by it. "Judging by the looks of it, it seems to be the chief of their race...fascinating to get a good look at it myself."
"HOW ARE YOU SO CALM OVER THIS, Robin?!" Nami barked. "At least we know the obvious!"
Robin chuckled in amusement.
"Sorry, Nami, old habits of mine again."
A soft moan can be heard from behind as Nami noticed Aika coming out of her bedroom, sleepily, followed by Kumi.
"Mm..." Aika hummed as she rubbed her tired eyes. "Big Sis, what all that-" But stop at mid-sentence when her once heavy eyelids are now shot up wide open, letting out a blood-curdling shriek with her eyes comically bugged out while the Akita pup did the same.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! MONSTER!" Both Aika and Kumi cried out.
"Aika! Kumi! Get back inside! It's too dangerous here!" Sanji ordered.
"W-W-What is that? Where big brother?" Aika panicked, which Nami picked her up, holding her close in her arms.
"Don't worry, you brother out there, fighting off that monster. He'll be just fine." Nami reassured her.
"Yeah," Usopp butted in. "I'm sure he can handle-"
WHAM!
Luffy takes a nasty blow to the head from Kakamora King's club, much to everyone's (Expect Robin) dismay.
"...Oookay, maybe he's not going be just fine," Usopp murmured which Nami glared at the sniper. "Oh, sorry, not the best time to say that?" He sheepishly grinned.
Fortunately, that impact didn't do much damage to the rubber captain, since he embeds his forehead with Haki, which the tip of its club cracked a bit. Luffy remains still at his place until...
"YEOW!" He hollered, rubbing his head. "That hurt, you big jerk! It's a good thing my Haki soften the blow."
"Hmph," Sanji scoffed. "Took him long enough for a response." He dragged his cigarette, blowing another puff of smoke. "Dumbass purposely met to let that happen just to prove his point."
"He's our captain, after all, Curly-brow." Zoro grinned, much to the cook's irritation.
As the Straw Hats watch, Luffy readied himself to give this big bad coconut king a good taste of pumping fury into it.
"I'm really mad, now," Luffy growled, as more amount of steam radiated out of his body, while he's now entire pink skin was glowing brighter and brighter as he look at the giant Kakamora with intense anger on his face. "Me and my whole crew trying to have a relaxing vacation, then you and your little lackeys tried to attack my sister just to get you sticky greedy hands on that gem flower I've given to my girlfriend, Nami!
Then pound his fist in the sand.
"But when it comes for you to ruin our relaxing vacation and threaten my crew, then you're asking for some trouble, cause you know why?"
Nami smirked as she along with the rest very well know what was coming.
The straw hat boy deeply inhales some air in his lung before releasing a mighty shout. "CAUSE AM GONNA KICK YOUR COCONUT ASS!"
The battle between the notorious Straw Hat Luffy goes up against the king of the Kakamoras.
Who will be the victor?
