Well, this is unexpected. Lets see if this continues. I also have to upgrade the Maturity level because I am trying to have the same level of maturity as the Shield Hero and Fate Universe's. Not to heavy on the dark atmosphere but definite mentions. I am also going to post the 2nd chapter today sense its already almost done.

The years of war started when Uther Pendragon was killed by his own brother and continued long after the fall of his daughter, King Arturia. We are two years after the King Arturia, going under the name Arthur, pulled Caliburn from the stone and she is currently in a War to reclaim Britain from her uncle, King Vortigen. This was with just cause as Vortigen became a Tyrant. He forced his citizens to be drafted, killed when questioning his actions, and were used as currency with the Saxons. It was during this time that an anomaly had occurred. It was the middle of the night of July 17th. It was during this time that the night became golden in color.

(Naofumi's point of view)

Once the light was gone, it was night time. I look to see everyone having their eyes finish adjusting to the dark.

(Naofumi) "SOUND OFF!"

From that, everyone was shouting that they were here. Raphtalia then looks toward me.

(Raphtalia)"Naofumi, any idea what happened?"

I can only give her a no for answer.

(Naofumi) "I think everyone here is in the same boat." That's when I see Motoyasu come running toward me. He must have been caught up in the blast. I check my party and I still see Filo there, so she must have been caught up as well, hopefully.

(Motoyasu) "Father, what happened?"

He will not stop, will he?

(Naofumi) "*Sigh* I just talked with Raphtalia about that, no idea. I am going to call everyone to the village center. Can you head to the-" I had to pause at that, the ocean was normally south with the forest north of the village. But here, it's the opposite. So not only did we get teleported but the village as a whole orientation changed as well, or rather rotated? Why is that?

(Raphtalia)"Something wrong Naofumi?"

I got out of my stupor when Raphtalia talked to me. I am making a bad habit of spacing out.

(Naofumi) "Maybe, but we can talk about it later, Motoyasu, stay with us and help with keeping a lookout for anyone approaching the village as I talk with everyone."

(Motoyasu) "YES FATHER! IT SHALL BE DONE! HA HA!"

… I need to ask Rat if she has any pill for dealing with a headache. If not, see if she can make some. With that, I went ahead and yelled for everyone to come to the village center.

It took some time, having to also bring in the monsters and everyone else to one spot. During this time, I ordered Itsuki, Risha, Old lady, the Shadow, and the Killer whale sisters to help guard the village while we are having a group assembly. I asked Itsuki and Risha if the pendent that allows for them to teleport to Glasses world can still work. When determining who to come back to the world I was summoned to, a proposition was made. That is giving the 2 out of 5 teleportation pendants to Risha and Old lady. This way Itsuki can hitch a ride with Risha and the Old Lady can train with us and with Glass's Master. The Sisters can leave whenever a wave happens sense they are both vassal hero's. We still needed their help in leveling up underneath the ocean so they came along.

Turns out though that the pendants don't work, so that is off the table for now. I also had everyone light up the torches and start lighting up the village. Everyone can see in the dark, but I sure as hell can't.

Once everyone, minus the guards, I started.

(Naofumi) "Alright, I know right now that you don't know what's happening. I don't either. But here is what I do know. As of right now, somehow the village got teleported. How much of the surrounding terrain is unknown. The next thing is that the orientation of the village has changed. By that, I mean that the ocean would have been south and the forest north. However, probably during the teleportation process, the village either rotated during the process or the location we teleported to had the ocean north of us. These are only likely scenarios. But for now, for the sake of orientation and navigation, the ocean will be north. Now then, I am going to assemble Scout teams to go in the other 3 directions to see the surrounding terrain and hopefully find people."

The scout team leaders will be Eclair, Fohl, and Me. The second in command are Ren, Sadeena, Raphtalia respectively. Each of us has a Raph species and a Filolia. This way we can make a quick get away if necessary and fall back to the back up teams. They are made up of groups of 5 members of the village with 4 Raph species. This way, even if there are enemies chasing the first scout teams, we can fall back to the back up teams who can suppress and help fight the enemy. The Filiolas that remain are assigned to Motoyasu to act as a fast responding force, Wyndia and Galion along with any monster that can fly are to head to the ocean then start flying in the sky till they can hide within the low hanging clouds and see if there are any lights within their field of view. Everyone else is to remain in the village and guard it and those who can't are to continue with the tasks they were working on prior to the teleportation. It was during the assembly that I found Filo, she was with Melty and Eclair.

With that sorted out, everyone went to work. Eclair West, Fohl going South, and Myself going East. I had Raphtalia, Filo, and Raph-chan in my group. It was during our process of heading East that I found that Filo's cart was missing. She told me that she left it East of here, which right now that meant it was West of here, prior to the teleportation. I asked why not park it next to my house. She told me that she had to hide it or else Motoyasu would modify it. I don't know if it was because it was cold or because of the memory because everyone shivered at that. I don't even want to look at that monstrosity again. So I told her that she did a good thing to hide it. Giving her a head pat in the process.

We reached a cut off point, about a mile away. Perfect cut too, as if someone just grabbed the piece of land as if it was a puzzle piece and placed it somewhere else where it can connect to. It makes you wonder where the other piece went. Raphtalia tapped my shoulder.

(Raphtalia) "Master Naofumi, look."

I followed where she pointed and that is when I found one of the Sakura Trees that were planted, but was on the border line. We went to it to find that the line went around the tree. I noticed that the line went around the leaves. It was as if the teleportation couldn't cut the tree. It reminded me of the barrier that guards Q'ten Lo. These trees just keep getting weirder and weirder.

(Naofumi) "It looks like the teleportation circle had to include the Sakura Trees. Are you able to sense anything from the trees?" She gave me a deadpan look. It was a good question, the Raph species can do some weird stuff, and sense they came from her hair-

(Raphtalia) "If you're thinking that because Raph species can do some weird stuff means that I can, I will have Sadeena go after you.''

How does everyone know what I am thinking? Do they have psychic abilities or what?... Maybe-

(Raphtalia) "Stop having weird thoughts."

HOW?

(Raphtalia) "Your face gives it away, Naofumi."

I give up!

(Naofumi) "Filo, do you feel anything weird?" I looked back to her, she closed her eyes.

(Filo) "Na uh. Filo doesn't have any weird feelings."

(Naofumi) "What about you Raph-chan?" She jumped off my shoulder and touched the sakura tree with her paw. Her tail spiked up. Once it died down she started talking.

(Raph) "Raph, raph, raph."

(Raphtalia) "Raph-chan said that the sakura trees made a dome around the village, but there is something outside the dome trying to suppress it."

I looked back at Raph-chan then back at the line. No one hadn't stepped past the line since we found it. What cause the dome to be formed, let alone what is suppressing the dome?

(Naofumi) "Is this force hostile, Raph-chan?" She closed her eyes and looked like she was thinking hard. I am very tempted to pat her head right now but I know it's rude to do so since it will interrupt her concentration but dammit she is making it hard right now!

She gave a negative nod. Then time to,-hold up.

(Naofumi) "Will it harm us, Raph-chan?" She then gave an equivalent of a shrug.

(Raphtalia) "How did you figure that out Naofumi?"

I grabbed Raph-chan and started to pet her as I stared into the forest beyond the line.

(Naofumi) "By asking if it's hostile means that it must have intelligence, but it can be dangerous without intelligence. I wanted to cover all the bases before moving forward." With this, I moved my hand toward the line. But before I reached for it, Raphtalia grabbed my hand in alarm.

(Raphtalia) "Master Naofumi, what do you think your doing!?"

(Naofumi) "I was only testing to see if the barrier allows my hand to pass through and if not to see how strong it is."

(Raphtalia) "But didn't Raph just say that it could harm us?"

(Naofumi) "She doesn't know, and we won't know until we see."

(Raphtalia) "Should we at least wait till we regroup with everyone else first?"

At that, I had to concede. It would be better to check in with everyone else before moving forward. That is why I made sure that the second person in the group is both strong and smart to prevent this type of stuff from happening. Except for Ren. He is just their to prevent Eclair from fighting people.

I hope.

On second thought, maybe it wasn't a good idea to have Ren as the calm and collected person. Risha and Itsuki would have been better.

(Naofumi) "Your right, sorry about that."

(Raphtalia) "It's alright, that is what I am here for."

(Naofumi) "And I am grateful for that, alright, let's go back and inform everyone of our findings."

(Raphtalia) "Understood, Master Naofumi."

Yep, would have been better for Itsuki and Risha to have done the scouting instead.

Were about to climb onto Filo when Raphtalia seemed to freeze up.

(Naofumi) "Raphtalia, are you alright?"

(Raphtalia) "W-w-www-ee…"

(Naofumi) "Come again?" Now she seemed flustered.

(Raphtalia) "We-eee are holding hands!"

I looked down to find that, yes we are in fact holding hands. I wondered how long we were. I then let go of her hand. I guess she doesn't like holding hands.

(Naofumi) "Sorry about that."

(Raphtalia) "It is alright."

…God dammit, now the atmosphere is awkward.

(Filo) "Raphtalia, you can't be all loving dubby with Master!''

GOD DAMMIT FILO! YOU ARE NOT HELPING!

(Raphtalia) "Filo! You're not helping!"

(Filo) "But sister."

(Naofumi) "ALRIGHT! That's enough. Let's just go back and check in with everyone else."

With everyone pouting, we made our way back to the village. Thank god that Raph-chan is here, she is like my very own therapy dog, but 10 times better.

Once we arrived back at the village, everyone was there, however Fohl looked disturbed and Sadeena looked depressed. "What did everyone find?" It was Eclair that started.

(Eclair) "We found a pink barrier that we can't pass and that the Terrain itself is irregular."

(Naofumi) "Same on my end. I am assuming that terrain is different on the inside of the dome compared to the outside?"

(Eclair) "Yes Naofumi, however, the environment is also different. Our side of the dome has a forest on the outside. While on our side it's grassy rocky plains. What of everyone else?"

(Naofumi) "Same here."

Then I turned to Fohl. He didn't talk sense we started. Something got them to act like this. I then spoke in a serious tone.

(Naofumi) "Fohl, what did you and Sadeena see?"

(Fohl) "... I met a demi-human who was living there."

(Raphtalia) "Please tell me that no one was in the middle of the dome when we teleported…"

That would be very bad.

(Fohl) "Nothing like that. …The demi-human, he wasn't responding to my questions, instead he just growled and then leaped at me. He acted more like a monster. I would have attacked haven't not been for the barrier. That is how we found ours."

Well, now we know that the barrier doesn't harm us.

(Sadeena) "It was a shock to say the least, Naofumi."

(Naofumi) "But there was more to it, wasn't there?"

Something like that wouldn't cause them to be in this much of a bad mood.

Fohl and Sadeena tensed.

(Fohl) "...I looked back at where the Wolf beastman was eating, … it was a child!"

There was silence, I have seen rotting corpses, but I definitely haven't seen a cannibal eating a child.

(Ren) "Are you sure?"

(Sadeena) "I can vouch for him, had it not been the barrier we would have brought back its corpse."

Why would a Demi-human become a cannibal though? This is a forest, you can eat monster meat, why?

A strange thought had me looking up at the night sky. It was a full moon.

(Naofumi) "hmmm. Fohl, did this person have any clothes on?"

(Fohl) "No. No it didn't."

(Naofumi) "Did it have anything above it? Like the name of its species?"

(Fohl) "No, much as I wish that was the case, it was in fact a demi-human."

(Naofumi) "No, I don't think it was." Everyone looked at me with confusion.

(Raphtalia) "But, Master Naofumi, you heard Fohl said, it didn't have a name above it, it must be a demi-human."

(Sadeena) "You have experience with this persons species before little Naofumi?"

(Naofumi) "Folklore and stuff like that. Where I come from, there are stories about humanoid creatures that are wolves that stand on their hind legs and are massive. They were called Werewolves. They only appear during full moons. They could be called Demi-human but I guess wherever we teleported to they are now monsters or animals. If it is a Werewolf, then don't let it bite you nor scratch you. It was said that they can infect people and turn them into one. Again, all speculation but better safe than sorry and assume that Werewolves are active 24/7."

(Ren) "Should we have guards up and on stand by? Even though we can't get past the barrier, there may be other creatures on the outside that could."

(Naofumi) "Hmmm, alright. We will have people on rotations and have a team to go to sleep right now. We'll all have to get used to the new night and day cycles. Lets go people."

This is going to be a pain.

After I got everything set up (assigning who is taking the night shift, assigning tasks to be done, and patrols to be active at all times), I went to bed. Turned out that Rat did have drugs that deal with headaches, however since it counts as a drug I had to feed it to my shield. Lucky the effects apply indirectly through the shield. Now I have a new shield that helps relieve headaches.

I can already feel a headache coming on with the amount of shit that is in store for me tomorrow.
