"Em," Tim pulled away slightly to catch his breath. "We've got to slow down a bit here. We just went zero to sixty at the flick of a switch." He kissed her chastely.
"I know." Emily said smiling at him. "But it was good." She smirked, before they both laughed out loud. "I like you, Tim, a lot."
"I like you too, Em." He whispered softly to her, kissing her again, but keeping it light. "Let me take you out for dinner, Saturday night?"
"It's a date." She giggled and promptly yawned. "Time for bed, I think."
"I've got to meet my deadline, want me to work in the bedroom, it's mostly editing. No typing." He offered, not really knowing where they were at, just yet. Now that they'd kissed … well made out really.
"Nah, I'm good. Just promise me, you will join me."
"One hour, tops!" Tim promised and kissed her goodnight. She was asleep when he climbed into bed, so it wasn't awkward.
It was a rare show the following day when Gibbs, Tim, Tony and Ellie decided to head out to the diner for lunch instead of ordering in. Especially for a Friday afternoon, when they weren't scheduled for the weekend.
Tim politely excused himself before they entered, promising he'd be in as soon as he made a call. The word private, unspoken. First, he made reservations for dinner at a little restaurant he knew that made the best food and played soft jazz music in the background, had beautiful linen tablecloths and was candlelit. He then called Em and they chatted for a couple of minutes.
Gibbs watched from the window as Tim watched them enter the diner, then whip out his cell to make a call. He could tell the first call was straightforward, businesslike. The second call had to of been to Emily. He was all smiles and soft spoken, slight blushing and Gibbs didn't feel bad for watching him a bit. Tony broke his thoughts "Your usual?" Tony had asked, Sandy was waiting for him to order.
"Yeah, better get Tim his usual too" he answered, not taking his eyes off Tim and noticing the way his eyes light up when he talked to Emily. Tim catches his eye and Tim wrapped up his call with his back to the diner and to Gibbs' stare, 'probably so I can't see his face' Gibbs mused to himself and smirked.
"Good to see Tim working it out." Tony said suddenly, indicating he isn't completely oblivious to what's going on.
"You on the up, DiNozzo?" Gibbs asked, wondering exactly what his senior agent knew. "What do you know?" Gibbs interrogated him, maybe Tim had confided in Tony, big brother style.
"Hey, all I know is they like each other." Tony said defensively. "Tim plays everything pretty close to the vest."
"Oh yeah, Tony's right." Ellie confirmed. "They're Gah-Gah for each other." Ellie smiling wide at the thought of Tim liking Gibbs' niece.
"Stuck on stupid seems more appropriate." Gibbs said, chuckling, remembering all the moments he's seen them together, especially in the pool at his cabin and in his kitchen that morning he and Tim drove into work together.
"I know they've bailed from movie night, for Saturday." Ellie added. "Emily texted me an apology for them both this morning. Something apparently, come up"
"Seems our little boy is growing up." Tony said melancholic to Gibbs and Gibbs smacked Tony on the back of the head. Hard! Mostly to make himself feel better.
"Hopefully it's a date that come up." Tony said laughing and darted his head out of Gibbs' reach playfully.
Over lunch, they discussed mundane things with the incessant chatter actually making Gibbs feel better again. He was dreading what he needed to discuss with his friend tomorrow night at their weekly dinner. They moved their weekly dinner twice this week, first when Tobias caught a case and then again when Gibbs caught their latest case, which they'd closed, just that morning. But he was looking forward to eating out instead of eating in with Tobias.
"Flowers, McGoo, flowers!" Tony shouted suddenly into the bullpen, as if it was the answer to all of life's problems. It was a random outburst since it's been over two hours since anyone said anything and the last conversation certainly had nothing to do with flowers, which caused Ellie to giggle at the absurdity of it.
"Huh?" Tim asked looking up, noting a fresh coffee on each of their desks and Gibbs conveniently on his way upstairs, no doubt to MTAC or to brief the Director.
"You've got a date tomorrow night, right?" Tony asked and Tony noticed that Gibbs stopped on the mezzanine to listen to the answer. "You need to buy her flowers."
"It's not a date-date Tony. It's just two friends, having dinner." Tim answered softly, but not soft enough to escape Gibbs' super hearing.
"So she's the one who called it a date, then. Good for you." Tony confirmed. "Seriously, flowers! It'll knock her socks off."
Tim wasn't ordering flowers. He knew how she felt about them. She preferred practical gifts. He did however, buy her a perfume she'd been hinting that she was thinking of trying. As soon as he'd smelt it, he knew it was perfect for her. He just hoped it didn't make her sneeze. He'd carried the sample card in that the saleswoman had sprayed around in his pocket for three days afterwards, enjoying getting a whiff of it, especially at his desk. He'd stashed the gift in the bottom drawer in his study.
Saturday rolled around quicker than either of them realised and Emily and Kasie headed out, shopping for the day, while Tim, already having taken Jethro for a run and headed to the market for some groceries for the upcoming week, was headed into the office. He'd already decided on his clothes for tonight. He'd showered and shaved, in advance so he'd only need to freshen up later.
Quickly logging on, noting the time and realising that he had to leave no later than four, he skulled his hot coffee and got to work. He had a video conference in MTAC scheduled for almost four and hoped it didn't run over.
Gibbs sauntered into the bullpen, it was quiet for a Saturday afternoon. Balboa's team, must have caught a case, as they and their gear was gone. He knew his team all had plans and no one was working, so he was surprised to see Tim feverishly working away on his computer. He watched as the young man gathered his case files before heading upstairs to MTAC. Gibbs, deciding to follow caught the Director's eye in surprise as both men followed him in, wordlessly. The MTAC technician advised Tim that Tel Aviv would be coming online in sixty seconds and Gibbs, as well as Vance were pleasantly surprised to see Ziva's face on screen.
"Hey Zee." He greeted her as if no time at all had passed at all.
"Hello Timothy," she smiled. "You're looking well. Very fit." Ziva looked her usual self, albeit a smidge more rigid as usual, but still the same, nonetheless.
"Ah, yes. Do you have the information I need?" He asked, all business like.
"Not yet, I need another twenty four to forty eight hours. Malachi, is being a pain in my ass .." she answered.
"Ass," Tim said in unison with her. "If only Malachi and Tony could partner together, they'd drive each other crazy." Both Tim and Ziva laughed. Malachi was an Israeli friend of Tim's from MIT who was doing some outsourcing work for him on a case. He'd put his friend in contact with Ziva when his job had required him to move back to Israel. Ziva's part was to pass on the sensitive information in a classified manner.
"Now I know why you're able to hand Tony so well." Ziva said, looking at her friends cool, relaxed, happy demeanour. "You're happy, Tim. I can not wait to meet her." She smiled, causing Tim to blush.
"Sixteen hundred hours my time on Monday, Ziva. Put the hard word on Malachi. I need those figures." Tim requested firmly, using his backbone that Ziva had helped him find, before she left.
"Will do my friend. Say hello to Vance, Gibbs, Ducky and Tony. Shalom, my friend." she waved off.
"Shalom Zee." He said, cutting the transmission. He re-organised his papers without looking up and said "Vance and Gibbs I know you're there."
"Hello McGee, what's going on?" The Director asked, he'd been curious as to what the JFA was up to.
"I've been looking back through the Tiakinetti case" referring to a cold case that has been a thorn in their sides for six months now. "I have been working with my friend Malachi from MIT on the computer coding, his security clearance is higher than mine. If I can figure it out, we will get the motive, then we can narrow down our suspects and hopefully solve it. Malachi is stationed in Israel for work, as part of his work I put him contact with Ziva and they're helping my unlock the code." Gibbs raised his eyebrows in surprise. He knew Ziva hurt Tim when she left without a goodbye, so they must have hashed it out together at one point before this. However, Vance was actually impressed at the level of thought and attention that McGee was giving this case.
"I'm impressed McGee. Keep up the good work." The Director beamed.
"Keep me posted Tim, if it heats up, we'll get back on it full time." Gibbs said as the Director nodded in agreement at the JFA. His watch beeped, causing all three to jump, but Tim just smiled widely and wished them a very good weekend. That goofy grin on his face sealed it for Gibbs. "He has a date tonight. He's been trying not to get excited about it all week." Gibbs smirked at the now closed door to MTAC.
"Ah young love." The Director said softly. "I assume it's with Miss Fornell." Gibbs raised his eyebrows at that information, he wasn't aware the Director knew what was happening between his agent and his niece/goddaughter. "I saw them at Walmart on Monday night. They seem very happy together and very much in love." Vance didn't mention that he'd seen them picking up baby clothes and that McGee kept holding them up to her stomach. He didn't mention he'd seen McGee hug and kiss the young woman either.
"Buying baby stuff?" Gibbs asked knowing that both Tim and Emily personally preferred more designer labels than not. It was Vance's turn to be surprised. "The baby isn't his, Leon."
"Sure didn't look that way to me. He was helping her choose baby clothes." Vance declared, "He appeared to be into it, just as much as she was."
"No surprise there. Tim's been helping Emily out after everything that happened to her. They think they've been tiptoeing around their feelings, but the only two that aren't clued in yet, is those two." Gibbs supplied. "Oh and Tobias, but he's more in denial, than not clued in."
"As the father of a daughter who dates, I agree with you there. It's hard to admit when Dad's see their little girls fall in love." Vance then realised his words and the look on Gibbs' face fell.
"It's ok." Gibbs said, holding his hand up before Vance could apologise. "Emily is my goddaughter and like my niece. Even I've accepted it and I'm more of a hard ass than Tobias. Hell, they slept in the same room under my roof for ten days, when they stayed with me."
"So it's serious between them?" Vance asked his agent.
"They're stuck on stupid around each other, Leon" Gibbs smiled. "They'll be ok, though. It's Tobias I'm worried about." They laughed before Gibbs took his leave.
"You look beautiful," Tim said kissing her lightly on her lips. "I bought this for you." He presented her with the wrapped perfume box, as he entered the bedroom they had been sharing. His bedroom. She was just putting on a pair of shoes, still getting ready.
"Tim, you didn't have to." She gushed as she opened it and proceeded to kiss him senseless when she saw the perfume box. "I hadn't decided on a scent yet, I'm just going to put some on" she said as she darted off to the main bathroom and Tim reached for the tissues to wipe her lipstick off his lips so they could head to dinner.
The conversation flowed beautifully through dinner, both thoroughly enjoying themselves. Dancing with Emily was added bonus, as a few couples had hit the makeshift dance floor and Emily went into Tim's arms happily. The perfume smelt heavenly on Emily and Tim found himself wanting to have Emily to himself.
The night air was warm, a tell tale sign that summer wasn't too far away, as they walked hand in hand to Tim's car. At the car, Emily kissed Tim and Tim kissed Emily back leaning her against the door of his car.
Just as Gibbs and Fornell came out of the steakhouse across the street.
"Holy fourth of July weanie roast!" Fornell exclaimed and Gibbs looked up to find Tim and Emily kissing passionately in an embrace against Tim's white SUV, before he pulled back and helped her into the car. Gibbs noted that they were dressed nicely, deducting that they must have been at the Woodmont Grille up the street for dinner. "What the hell is going on?" He asked his friend.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about." Gibbs said softly, as they crossed the sidewalk into the bar they frequented. "Tim and Emily have begun dating, I think!" Gibbs said softly handing Tobias his drink the bartender poured as soon as he saw his regular's come in.
"That wasn't a first date kiss." Tobias said as a matter of fact. "That was more like a 'we're going home to go bed' kiss."
"Ya think?" Gibbs quipped. "Emily and he have been on this path for more than two months now. DiNozzo told me when he and Tim hit the clubs, they always meet up with Emily and Kasie there and Tim and Emily had a pretty good friendship brewing before all this happened. They even used to flirt and. dance a little. When the attack happened and Emily found Tim … something changed between them and they became what we see now. Vance saw them shopping for baby clothes on Monday. He thought Tim was the baby's father." Gibbs paused, letting his words sink into his friends brain. "Come to the cookout with my team and Emily at my house tomorrow. Watch them. Tim likes Emily a lot and Emily loves Tim. They're good for each other."
"You sure?"
"Hey, if it were Kelly here and it was Tim dating her, I'd still be sure. Tim's a good guy and you can't ask for more than that for your daughter."
"Still …?" He argued.
"Tobias, I guarantee you. Even before the attack Emily had other lovers."
"Knowing and seeing is two very different things, my friend."
It was beautiful sunny day, and Tim and Emily woke up wrapped around each other and spent a good portion of the morning kissing each other and lightly petting another before joining the rest of the world in preparation for the day.
Tim had made a gourmet potato salad and Emily had made a strawberry cake for dessert to take to Gibbs' cookout.
DiNozzo was giving Ellie a hard time over crying last night at the wizard of oz while DiNozzo showed her some of the finer points of grappling with a perp on the lawn. Gibbs was by the grill with Tobias and Ducky, while Jimmy, Breena, Tim and Emily were discussing parenthood while little Victoria snoozed on Uncle Tim's lap. "Your grandchild is a very lucky child to have such a loving person like Timothy in its life." Ducky said to Tobias. "He is the world's best uncle to our little Victoria, just imagine the father he'll make to her wee one." Tobias gave Ducky a wry smile.
"With all due respect, no one's ever going to be good enough for my Emily." Tobias said sadly.
Tobias spied Tim heading inside for the bathroom and another beer and discreetly made his way inside to wait for the man who Gibbs' claims is the man he'd want for his own daughter.
"Got a minute, Tim?" He asked handing his daughter's 'roommate' a beer.
"Sure Fornell." Tim answers, gesturing they should head into the living room.
"It's Tobias, kid." He says peeling the label off his own beer bottle. "Look Tim, I can see you care for Emily and the baby."
"Let me put your mind at ease. I like Em, a lot. Maybe not from when I first met her because she was just a kid … but in the last three years or so. Yeah, there's something there. We've been just friends, but lately …"
"There's more. Look, just promise me you won't deliberately hurt her and you'll take it slow."
"That I can do." Tim smiled. "After all I made her the same promise, just as she promised me."
Three nights later, Emily woke Tim in a panic in the middle of the night. "Tim, I'm bleeding." She cried, her tears were falling. "Started a few hours ago, but it's coming heavy and fast now."
"Ok, we should call the doctor." He said, instantly awake. "Pop a pad or something on."
"I have, it's the third one I've used in the last hour." She said through her tears.
Tim immediately called Dr Green's after hours line and was surprised to find the man himself, immediately phoning back. "He is at Georgetown Med delivering a baby, wants us to get there asap. He'll meet us at the maternity entrance and he'll let us in." Tim said as he got dressed. Looking at the alarm clock he noted it was three fifty seven am. "Want me to call your Dad?" Tim offered.
"Hell no, not unless we have to."
At the hospital, her doctor was waiting for them. "How are we doing this morning?" He asked almost perkily.
"Bleeding, heavily. Soaked through five pads so far and counting. Feeling nauseated and dizzy too." Emily said.
"Let's get you into a room and see what we've got. Tim, once Emily is set up I'll take you to her."
Leaving Tim alone in the waiting room, he thought he better call Gibbs, there was no way he'd make it to work on time. They had a team meeting this morning at zero six hundred. He pulled his cell phone out and hit speed dial one for Gibbs.
"Yeah Gibbs." Gibbs gravely voice answered sleepily.
"It's me, Tim." He said. He was beginning to worry about Emily. The doctor was taking a while.
"Tim, what's wrong?" Gibbs asked instantly alert. There was something not quite right in Tim's voice.
"Em's in hospital." He whispered, trying to reign in his emotions, whilst fearing the worst. "She's heavily bleeding."
"Want me to come in?" He offered. Tim sounded distraught.
"No, not yet. We just got here. Not going to make it in to work this morning."
"Tim, you need me. You call me, I'll come. Keep me posted."
"Sure Gibbs, just don't tell Fornell yet. Emily said not to call yet."
"Got your six, Tim."
The nurse finally came and called him into Emily, after fifty five minutes. Just as Dr Green was wheeling in the Ultrasound machine.
"Sorry about the delay, Tim. Another patient of mine has just phoned in too. Must be the night for it." He joked and Tim gave a small smile. "Let's see what's going on."
He waved the transducer over Emily's abdomen. The nurse had ensured Emily had a full bladder for the ultrasound. She was still bleeding but the bleeding was beginning to slow down.
"Look at that," the doctor said smiling, pressing print on the keyboard. "Your baby is playing with its hand. "Let's check your uterus." He said moving over slightly and pressing down. "Ah ha!" He did a few more checks and took a few more measurements.
"The baby looks ok, but it looks like a subchorionic hematoma. It's bleeding that occurs under one of the membranes that surrounds the embryo inside the uterus. It is a common cause of bleeding in early pregnancy." The doctor explained. "The main symptom is vaginal bleeding. But some women don't have symptoms. In most cases, the bleeding goes away on its own. Most women go on to have a healthy baby."
"So it's ok?" Emily asked slowly.
"For now your baby looks fine. I'd like to keep you here for the next twenty four hours so we can closely monitor you. Feeling nauseated and dizzy aren't the usual symptoms. But they're enough to warrant monitoring. Try to get some rest. I'll check back in a few hours."
Emily visibly relaxed as she closed eyes and laid her head back against the pillow. Tim still had her hand in his and was stroking her forehead with the back of his other hand. Before closing his own eyes, himself.
By day break a soft rapt on the door caught Tim's attention. Tim tried to crane his neck to see who it was and move off the bed gently without disturbing Emily, where he was entangled with her. She had literally clung onto him and entwined her body with his in her sleep. "Easy easy." The voice whispered. "Just me, Tim."
Gibbs had tossed and turned after the call from Tim. He'd sounded rattled and that unnerved Gibbs. The positive thing was that his gut was pinging too hard. A quick shower and shave saw him head into the diner for a take away breakfast and coffee before he headed into work.
He'd got into work and booted up his system, and found he couldn't focus. He was worrying about Emily and needed to be there for Tim. He wasn't sure Tim would call if he needed him. Especially now it was working hours. He left a post it note on Tony's computer screen instructing them to do cold cases until he returned and made a beeline for the hospital.
Once at the hospital, he used his badge to get the young nurse to show him where Tim and Emily were. Knocking softly, hoping not to wake Emily up, he peaked in, when there was no answer. Seeing Emily and Tim entwined made his heart flutter a little. Tim's hand protectively over her little belly, that looked as if it was a little rounder than the last time he'd noticed. Seeing Tim strain to see who was in the room and almost panic at not being able to see, he set to calm his youngest boy right away. "Easy, easy. Just me, Tim." Gibbs whispered as he sat a tray with coffee cup and herbal tea cup on the bedside table. "What did the doctor say?" He asked, pulling up the bedside chair nice and close to the bed on Tim's side.
"It looks like a subchorionic hematoma, boss." Tim said softly. At Gibbs' inquisitive look, Tim continued. "I'll text it to you and you can ask Ducky. Basically, it'll resolve itself but she's got some nausea and dizziness too, they're not common symptoms. So they want to monitor her for the next twenty four hours or so."
"This a new ultrasound print?" He asked picking up the print from the beside rollaway table. Holding it near Tim so he could show Gibbs.
"Yeah, the baby was trying to wave at the doctor." Tim stared at the print in awe with a goofy smile on his face, he absentmindedly stroked the image where the baby's hand was. Gibbs watched with fascination as Tim fell in love with the baby even more.
"It's amazing, how quickly you can fall in love with the baby when you haven't even met yet?" Gibbs asked him, remembering the one scan Shannon had had, when they were having Kelly. "Gives a whole new meaning to love at first sight, hey?"
"I'm crazy about it and we haven't even met." Tim admitted.
"Of course, a lot of that is probably because you love Em. I know, I know you're 'just friends'" he even mimed the inverted commas "But eventually, you'll have to admit there's more there."
"Uncle Gibbs we're dating." Emily said groggily from the far side of the bed, wincing in pain. "Mornin'" she said kissing Tim softly. She managed to make her way to the bathroom by herself, waving off offers of help from both Tim and Gibbs. Tim got up and straightened out the bed a little.
She immediately hopped back in bed and said "I don't feel good." Before promptly vomiting into the emesis bag and wincing in pain again.
"Where's it hurt, Em?" Tim asked, Gibbs noted that worry was back in Tim's voice again. That concerned Gibbs more than he cared to admit.
"My pelvis." She said through her teeth as she breathed through the pain. "I think I need the doctor." Tim buzzed for the midwife to come in, who when she did, wholeheartedly agreed to page Dr Green to come back in immediately.
Dr Green came in to Emily leaning over the bed being supported by Gibbs and Tim on either side and both men rubbing her back in support, as she breathed her herself through the constant pain "You must be Emily's Dad, I'm Doctor Green." The doctor held out his hand.
"I'm actually Tim's Dad." Gibbs said, referring to himself as Tim's dad, wasn't really a lie but an untruth, but as he shook the doctor's hand, he realised it didn't matter. He and Ducky had moulded him into who he is today and that's something Dad's do.
Gibbs finally felt like he was being helpful for the first time since all this began and he didn't want the doctor to throw him out. "It's not quite visiting hours yet, Mr ..?" the doctor began, preparing to indeed, throw him out.
"That's Uncle Gibbs, not really my uncle, but I've known him since I was born. He's Tim's … dad." Emily confirmed, cutting the doctor off. "He stays, he's part of our support team."
"Sorry Uncle Gibbs, under normal circumstances for a support team being here, I'd have already met the team."
"Just Gibbs is fine Doc, help Em"
"Ok Emily, just lie on your back and let me have a feel of that stomach." Tim and Gibbs manoeuvred her into her back and back on the bed. "Tell me when I find the pain" she nodded as he began prodding her. She screamed out when he hit the spot and gripped Gibbs and Tim's hand for support, before curling up in pain. "Gentlemen, I'm going to call for Emily to have a formal scan. It'll take about an hour. There's a small waiting room down the hall. "Hopefully her blood tests and urine will be back from the lab by now and we'll know what we're dealing with."
Both gentlemen kissed Emily goodbye, Gibbs on the forehead and a promise to call and update her father and Tim's on the lips with a promo he'll be here waiting when she comes back.
"No, DiNozzo, no. There is no news." Gibbs said for the final time, disconnecting the call. Turns out Fornell had gone to Chicago without telling anyone to interview a suspect in his case he'd been working on and was unable to get back until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. Tim looked at his boss stressed, wondering what was happening at the office too and if Gibbs could really stay or he needed to head back in. "No news for you either." Gibbs tried to reassure Tim, it'd been over two hours since Emily was whisked away for the scan. "Why does everyone have to know everything?"
"Isn't that our job?" Tim quipped and Gibbs carded his neck and hair playfully.
"Brat." Gibbs teased.
Dr Edward Green was a very straight up, tell it like it is man, he was a solid bloke, tall with dark blonde hair, kind of tawny and he had an accent. He came into the room and took a seat in front of Tim and Gibbs on the coffee table. "First off, I apologise for taking so long, we took lots of measurements and we meticulously mapped out her entire reproductive system. Emily has been given a small safe sedative to allow her to rest, pain free. We completed an internal exam also, but she should be waking up soon. She authorised me to release the findings to you because I'm heading off duty now, Dr Connell will be covering."
The doc was good, 'I'll give him that' Gibbs thought silently.
"The first scan showed a subchorionic hematoma, as with this scan. Looks like it has lessened since you first arrived, which is good news. Emily opted not to find out the gender of the baby until you're there in a few weeks time, which I noted, but won't disclose. We checked carefully for placental abruption and placental previa, no sign of either which is more good news. In the internal exam, we took swabs and scrapings of samples to test for STI's. Unfortunately, due to the nature of conception, it is a possibility. If anything comes back positive, we will have to test you and treat you both."
Gibbs was going to correct the doctor, but his gut decided to keep quiet on the doctor's misconception about their relationship, but found Tim nodding along with the doctor.
"All in all, the most likely cause of the pain was round ligament pain, heightened by anxiety from bleeding. An appointment with her therapist would be beneficial, too. If all looks good by midday, my colleague will do a scan and if all is well, send you both home."
Tim breathed a huge sigh of relief. If Emily didn't need to stay in hospital, he'd be happy to take her home and fuss all over her.
"Thanks Dr Green." Tim said shaking his hand and Gibbs followed suit. "Anything I can do, to help Emily with the pain?"
"Call me Ed, in the next twenty odd weeks, we will be seeing a lot of each other." The doctor offered. "Things that help one woman, might not help another. My wife found massage, back, hips and thighs helped her. Most women I know and have treated, swear by an orgasm, multiple orgasms is even better, apparently." Gibbs had to applaud Tim, he kept a straight face and maintained eye contact with the doctor, which was more than Gibbs could do who looked away awkwardly.
'Maybe Tim was ready for undercover assignments, not full on missions or OSP, but the small kind MCRT undertook.' Gibbs thought to himself.
"If you go down that round, avoid rough penetration while she's still bleeding and use a condom until the results are back." He advised. "The nurse will get you once Emily is awake, fully."
"Thank you, Ed." Tim said shaking his hand again. "Get some rest." Tim could see the man was exhausted.
Gibbs promptly let out a few chuckles as soon as the doctor left. "That wasn't awkward for me, at all." Tim chuckled at Gibbs' reaction too.
"He knows we are in a relationship, he sometimes forgets it's very new."
"At least, If Tobias finds out, you can say its prescribed sex." and Gibbs laughed harder as Tim groaned at the thought of Tobias finding out, it was bad enough Gibbs knew.
