Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Lovestruck Lombaxes. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own Ratchet and Clank, Insomniac and a few others do.

Rivet watched as the armored figure slammed into a stone and slowly fell to the ground. She looked at the soldiers who were busy slowly advancing on them as she cursed to herself. She looked at the 3 fish-like soldiers, all of whom seem to wear battle armor which didn't seem like it was from this galaxy.

"Um?" A robot on her back started to say before Rivet threw herself forward. "Never mind." The robot stated before Lombax started to attack.

"Hey, fish face!" Rivet yelled as she spun and slammed her hammer into the first of the soldiers. "Pick on someone who can fight back!" Rivet stated while she landed in a crouch and ran back to hit another.

The robot detached from her friend's back. She was aware Rivet was able to hold her own in combat. She decided to focus on saving the figure who was slowly starting to crawl towards his gun. She didn't know if he was somewhat brave or just defiant and scared.

One of the fish-like soldiers was thrown back as Rivet slammed her hammer into the next of them. She wanted to wonder who they were and whom they had worked for.

"Are you alright?" She asked as the figure collapsed inches from the weapon. "Oh no… Rivet?" She started to say before she rotated.

Rivet landed on the arm of the third and final soldier before she smirked. She watched the fish shake their head before she slammed her hammer into their helmet. Water flowed out as the soldier collapsed to the ground. Rivet rested her hammer on her shoulder.

"Ok. That was a piece of…" Rivet started to say before a familiar roar stopped her. "Me and my big mouth… Had to be a Grunthor." Rivet stated before the monster roared.

"Rivet, take them and go. I will handle the Grunthor." The small robot started to say before she looked at the monster. "I will meet up when I am done." The robot said before another strike of lightning struck the sky and made her and Rivet stare.

'What is happening? Rachet had the dimensionator, and Gary and the monks fixed this.' Rivet said before she sighed and scooped up the armored figure and watched as her friend transformed.

The warbot soon towered over her in a way that made her smirk. Rivet was WELL aware of how powerful Kit was considering she managed to hold off an entire army of robotic soldiers with barely any help from her.

She sighed to herself before she powered up her rocket boots and then started to skate across the area. Rivet nodded towards her hideout as Kit engaged Sargasso's hostile wildlife. Many questions rang across her head.

'Why are there more rifts here? I thought Clank and Rachet both closed them all when we beat Nefarious. Someone probably took the dimensionator.' Rivet stated before she leaped off a ramp and into the swamps.

She was careful to not race across the swamp water. Rivet knew even her hover boots didn't help considering they sprayed the acidic water in her face. She gazed down at the person in her arms.

They were wearing some sort of neon blue and black armor with lines crossing to a core on its chest. there was also the fact that they seemed to have something wrapped around their hip. A pair of closed lenses marked where his eyes were and the helmet seemed more rounded like a hood.

Who was this? They looked like they were from another dimension, but it seemed so weird for her. She felt caught off guard at the moment similar to how she did when she was starting as a resistance soldier.

There was another leap as she sailed towards her headquarters before she slowly started to back inside. She was well aware of the fact that Kit had probably laid waste to the entire island's worth of monsters. It helped the morts as well in her mind.

Rivet slowly spun on her heel and started to walk up the path to her headquarters. She didn't feel the breeze that she did a while ago. The Lombax had to thank the morts for fixing up the wall from the Seekerpede attack.

It almost made her wonder if more of those metal monsters existed in the galaxy. She hadn't seen many since the war with the emperor.

The traveler the Lombax held groaned in pain as she glanced at them before she slowly set them down. Rivet drew her hammer and spun it into the hammerclank before she started to shift the machinery into place.

"Rivet? I am finished. The Morts was being bothered by another Grunthor." Rivet heard as she nodded to herself. "They are still dealing with the getting more zurpstones." Kit heard as she started to slow her work.

"Oh, glad to see Trudy and her kids are cool!" Rivet responded before the door slowly started to hiss open. "Sorry, the door is opening. I'm heading inside, I'll wait for you here." Rivet stated to herself before she shook her head and scooped the warrior up once more.

Rivet nodded while she slowly backed inside and sighed before she walked to the sofa. She was well aware of the fact there was well aware of the fact this was going to be a weird day.

"Are they starting to wake up?" Rivet heard from Kit as she slowly set them down on the sofa before sighing.

"Well, they're not dead…?" Rivet said before she raised an eyebrow. "They're still passed out at the moment. I don't know when their wake up… Can you get one of the Morts here? I'm not a doctor." Rivet said before she collapsed into the other sofa.

She ran her fingers across her face as she started to sigh. She was tired from missions all day and the LAST thing the Lombax needed? More work after an entire day of smashing robots and dealing with pirates who had gone RIGHT back to stealing as soon as the emperor's empire was ripped down.

"Rivet?" Rivet heard as she tapped her foot on the ground. "I am on my way. How are things at the moment?" Kit asked as she nodded to herself.

"Good." Rivet stated while she sighed. "Sorry. I'm a bit tired, Kit." Rivet added to herself before she sighed.

There was plenty of work to be done and Rivet was a hero, not a politician. She also didn't have the skills to do much more than build and rip down the rest of the empire Nefarious had built.

"Is the citizen you saved, ok?" Kit asked before Rivet slowly started to pull herself from the couch.

"They're still passed out, why?" Rivet asked as she started to look over the wounded warrior who was still in her care. "Also? I don't think citizen is the best word… He's kinda carrying a gun and wearing fancy armor if you forget." Rivet stated to which there was no real answer to the statement.

It wasn't an untrue statement in her book. This guy… Or girl. Didn't look much like a soldier, yeah… But they also didn't seem to be as much of a fighter as their appearance appeared considering there was plenty of ammo in their weapon.

She didn't argue one unspoken fact that the warbot had pointed out. The soldier whom she had seen was wearing armor…. Armor which stopped her from seeing if this warrior had other wounds that the armor prevented her from fixing. She didn't fault Kit for not mentioning it at the end of the day.

There was plenty of time for her to fix it. She slowly started to move her organic hand towards their helmet. If it was anything like the armor she had worn before? The magnetic locks to unseal it was on the base of their neck.

She moved her hands towards said switch as she started to ponder what they were. Another realm? This armor didn't look like it was from either hers or Rachet's which left many questions on her mind.

There was a hiss of smoke as she flipped the switches and slowly started to pull their armored helmet off. She was so interested in whom she had saved that not once did she guess what it was.

The helmet popped off with another hiss of smoke… It was what was under the armor that shocked her and caused Rivet to gasp.
