So I'm happy that this story is being liked by so many people, especially considering my absence from writing for the past few years. Anyway, ONTO REVIEW REPLIES!

Ryuujin96: Thank you very much!

Gurguit99: I'm honestly not sure. I knew where I wanted this story to start and the words just kinda appeared from that point. To be honest, when I wrote I kinda let the story form on it's own and let the characters lead me where they want to go. There might be a crossover, and there might not. I DO have plans for Albion though, but I don't know when he will show up.

Karlos1234ify: I'm glad you like it!

Also, I noticed that there were a LOT of grammar and punctuation problems in this chapter and that the line breaks weren't working so i fixed it for the first chapter and this one. I apologize for not double checking that before posting.

Katsuki Bakugo sat there with a blank look on his face, his usual scowl completely gone. Deku, the pebble in his way, his ex-friend… saved him. Him, the one who told him to jump off of the roof in hopes of getting a quirk in the next life. Him, the one who beat Deku, burnt him, degraded him, doing everything he could to get the nerd to stop trying to become a hero.

Katsuki heard the heroes and EMT's as they transported him and Deku to the hospital. Up until he was physically out of view, his eyes stayed focused on the gauntlet on the green haired teens arm. Where did it come from? Was it the nerd's Quirk? But how? The doctor's told Deku and Auntie Inko that he would never develop one, Deku has that extra toe joint. Katsuki had already disregarded the idea that it was a support item. Those don't just appear out of nowhere like the gauntlet did.

Katsuki would get answers, one way or another. As he finally gave in to the exhaustion from the lack of adrenaline pumping through his system, he made a promise. "Just because you have a quirk now, doesn't mean you're better than me, ya damn nerd. I WILL become the next Number One Hero. You can count on that."

Izuku let out a low groan as he finally awoke, feeling himself in a bed that was definitely not his own. Slowly opening his eyes, he noticed the white walls and ceiling, as well as everything else in the room. Eyes widening in realization, he looked down towards his left arm, seeing the gauntlet in it's red, gold, and green majesty. With his mouth falling open, he slowly began to move his gauntlet-clad arm, wiggling his fingers before clenching them into a fist. Tears pooled in his eyes as his hands shook slightly, a single sentence coming from his mouth. "It's true… I really do have a quirk now. It wasn't just a dream!"

While Izuku was unconscious, his new situation had been explained to him by Ddraig. The Boosted Gear was indeed a quirk, but it wasn't like the other quirks in the world. This one, upon the passing of the then-current host, transfers to a new host at random. There was no way to track it, so it was really just luck of the draw on who received it upon their birth. The odds of even awakening the Boosted Gear were even higher than a child being born with the quirk. It took high levels of will power, determination, and a strong desire. These were things, apparently, that Izuku had in spades that actually let him skip the base form of the gauntlet, which lacked the spikes along the sides of the gauntlet and left his fingers uncovered. That was also what caused the verdette to pass out; along with a stronger than normal quirk awakening, he had skipped the base form which was designed to let the user adjust to the boost capabilities and let their base strength increase until it reached a peak and unlocked the next form.

Upon learning that his base strength, speed, and stamina was what gave him even more power, Izuku had promised the great dragon that he would start training as soon as he could. Ddraig could only smirk, however a dragon can smirk, that is, at the sheer determination of this youngling in front of him before dismissing him, stating that it was time for him to awaken.

Breaking Izuku out of his recollections and ponderings, the door to his room opened and a doctor walked in, smiling at the young man as he went over the clipboard that had all of the information in Izuku's medical file. "Well, welcome back to the land of the living, Midoriya. You had a rather interesting day, didn't you? I can honestly say that I have never heard of a quirk awakening this late in someone's life, but I guess there is just that more to learn about quirks. Is there any discomfort? Lack of feeling in your arm, or anything else?"

Izuku shook his head, moving his hand around before flexing his fingers then making a fist. "N-no, nothing like that. I can kind of feel the blankets on my fingers, but it is… muted, I guess?"

The doctor made some notes on the clipboard as he nodded. "That is great news, and interesting as well. Well, if you are feeling well enough, I can start the paperwork to get you discharged. However, you do have some people who need to speak with you. I'll send them in as I leave. Good luck to you, young man, and congratulations."

The doctor gave Izuku a warm smile as he left the room and closed the door. It was barely thirty seconds before the door was blasted open again, this time by Inko Midoriya who immediately started crying as she hugged her son. "My baby! You're alright! I know the doctor said you were fine and that it was justquirkexhaustionbutIwassoworried…"

Inko went into a mutter storm, something that her son had inherited from her, along with her over productive tear ducts. It took some work to get his mother to calm down, especially since it certainly was a rather unexpected change in her son's life. Once Inko calmed down enough, she looked over his gauntlet covered left arm with surprise and awe. "S-so you actually have a quirk, Izuku? But the doctor said you wouldn't have one because of your toe joint."

That was when a new voice spoke up, the green jewel on the back of Izuku's hand flashing in time with the words. "That is because his quirk is not a physical part of his body. The Boosted Gear, which is the name of Izuku's quirk, is part of his soul. First let me introduce myself. My name is Y Ddraig Goch, but you can just call me Ddraig. I am the spirit that produces the power that Izuku now wields as my latest partner."

Inko just stared at Izuku's hand, her eyes going as wide as possible. Between Izuku and Ddraig, it was quickly explained to Inko about how Izuku's quirk worked and how it activated. To say she was surprised was an understatement. A quirk residing in a soul? Such a thing was unheard of, but it shouldn't be too surprising at the same time. Quirks were varied in such a large way for even those that couldn't be used for much more than everyday tasks. At the end of the explanation, Inko looked thoughtful while holding her chin in her hand. With a determined look in her eyes, she looked up to her son with a grin that matched his own. "I failed my son before, I refuse to do it a second time."

"Well, in that case, it looks like you're going to have to do a lot of training for the next ten months. If you want to get the best out of your quirk doubling your abilities, you're going to have to get as strong as you can. Especially if you want to make it into UA."

Izuku looked at his mother in shock, his eyes wide and his jaw dropped. His eyes sparkled in happiness as his grin widened even more. "You got it, mom!"

The two were interrupted by a knock on the door, surprising the mother and son before Izuku called for whoever it was to enter the room. As the door opened, Izuku felt his eyes widen again at who walked through the door. Wearing a rather ugly, in his opinion, yellow suit that seemed muhc too big for him was none other than All Might in his shrunken started to sweat nervously, wondering why the number one hero was here.

Clearing his throat, the blonde man began to speak. "Hello, young man. My name is Toshinori Yagi, I work at All Might's hero agency as a public liaison of sorts. All Might spoke highly of you and your actions when he saw you save your friend during that villain attack. He also mentioned something about how the two of you had actually met before that, and wanted me to come and see how you were doing and ask a few questions, if that's alright with you and your mother." Toshinori's eyes radiated the kindness and feeling of safety that he emanated as All Might, along with his smile putting Izuku at ease.

Izuku nodded, a relieved smile appearing on his face. "O-of course, Mr. Yagi. As for how I'm doing, I actually feel great. I'm still getting used to this, but it's not cumbersome in the slightest. If I couldn't see it, I would honestly forget that this was even on my arm." Izuku raised his arm that was still covered in the gauntlet, wiggling his fingers slightly.

Toshinori's smile widened and he let out a sigh of relief. "That is great to hear, Young Midoriya. However, that leads me to the second reason I am here. All Might mentioned that you asked if a quirkless person could be a hero. Why would you ask such a question if you already had a quirk?"

Looking down at his arm and barely touching it with the fingers of his right hand, Izuku gave his own sigh. "To be honest, I was told I was quirkless at four years old. I have the extra toe joint and everything. When this appeared and I used it to help save Kacchan, it was the first time it had ever appeared. I've never heard of someone getting their quirk this late in life, but I guess it isn't outside the realm of possibility."

The small and thin man nodded as he hummed to himself, a hand cupping his chin while the other held his elbow. "That makes sense, if you had had it all your life I doubt you would have passed out afterwards. Well, congratulations on getting your quirk, Young Midoriya. Can you tell me what it does? All Might was very curious about what happened. If you can't, that is fine, I know you just acquired it and your use was more than likely instinctual."

"Yeah, we can explain that, can't we Ddraig?" Izuku looked down to the jewel on the back of his hand, confusing Toshinori before his eyes widened and his jaw dropped as a voice came from said jewel.

"Sure thing, partner."

Toshinori was in awe after the quirk was explained to him, especially over the fact that the quirk was sentient. It was not unheard of for a quirk to be sentient, but it was also very rare. Feeling his resolve over his decision hardened even more, Toshinori grinned at the teen in front of him. "Now, Young Midoriya, let me ask you a question. When you ran to help your friend, what was going through your head? What led you to making that choice?"

Izuku looked down at his hands, clasping them together as he thought over the incident. Looking back up to the shrunken number one, Izuku shook his head slightly. "There wasn't a choice, Mr. Yagi. I saw someone needed help and that the heroes weren't doing anything. The fact it was someone I knew had nothing to do with it. All I know is that I was standing there and the next thing I knew my legs were just moving."

All Might grinned wider, barely fighting off the urge to buff up in excitement. He had found him. "Well then, Young Midoriya, let me give you an offer from All Might. Depending on the answer to that question, he wanted me to give you the chance for him to train you. He saw you run off to help someone with no thought about your own well being, and quite successfully at that. He saw your heroic spirit and wants to help fan that ember into a bonfire. Do you accept this offer, Young Midoriya?"

Izuku and his mother looked on at Toshinori in shock, never expecting that All Might wanted to train him. The teen looked to his mother, his eyes begging for her to allow him this once in a million chance of a lifetime. Inko couldn't say no to that, this was too much of an opportunity for her son. With a wide and teary smile, she nodded. Izuku grinned even wider than he had in his entire life, his eyes pushed shut as he turned toward the blonde man. "Of course, sir, I accept!"

Toshinori smiled and came up to shake Izuku's hand as well as Inko's. "That is great to hear, Young Midoriya. All Might will be glad to know you accepted. I know you are still in school at the moment, but this Saturday meet All Might at Takoba Municipal Beach Park at six in the morning. From there he will get a baseline of your current abilities and help you train your quirk. He also has something he wishes to speak to you about in private, I'm sorry Mrs. Midoriya but he wouldn't even tell me." he lowered his head slightly in apology, the woman shaking her head and waving his apology away.

"It's no problem, Mr. Yagi. I'm sure if All Might says it needs to be discussed privately it must be very important. I'll make sure Izuku gets there in plenty of time."

Nodding and bowing towards the mother and son, Toshinori bids them goodbye as he leaves the hospital room. Izuku couldn't believe it, THE number one hero wanted to train him personally! He couldn't help but wonder what he needed to talk to Izuku about in private though, but like his mother said it had to be super important. He couldn't wait for Saturday to get here, the rest of this week was going to take forever to go by with this knowledge in his head now.

It was the day after the sludge villain attack, and Izuku was brought behind the school by Katsuki after classes ended, leaning against the wall while Izuku stood across from him against the chain link fence. Izuku just stood there silently, wondering why Kacchan brought him back here and why he wasn't as abrasive as he usually was. It took a few minutes, but Katsuki finally spoke up, his features smoothing out as his shoulders fell, the tension in them releasing with the sigh that left his mouth.

"Listen, this is going to be hard for me to say, so just let me get this out. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry for all of the shit I've put you through, and especially for what I said after school yesterday. I had no reason to say anything like that, and I'm not expecting you to accept my apology or forgive me, but I needed to do this anyway. I'm sorry." Katsuki even BOWED to him, showing how sincere he was in his apology.

Izuku looked on in shock, never expecting this to be what Kacchan had brought him back here for. Feeling a warm smile spread across his face along with an idea forming in his head, he placed his hand on Kacchan's shoulder, making the blonde raise his head, his red orbs looking into Izuku's green onesin surprise.

"I accept your apology, Kacchan. You're right though, it is going to take me a while to forgive you, but you're already heading in the right direction." izuku's smile shifted into a smirk as a mischievous look entered his eyes, "Now stand up, the future number two hero bows to no one, not even the future number one."

Katsuki's eyes widened before he stood up straight and smirked, scoffing. "Whatever, nerd. We both know I'm going to be number one. But I do have a question. What's up with the gauntlet on your arm? I know it's not a piece of support gear, so what is it?"

Izuku sighed, this was already the third time he was having to explain this in only two days. He could already tell this was going to be a bit exhausting. Izuku proceeded to introduce Katsuki to Ddraig and explain how his quirk worked, the blonde looking on in shock before scowling and poking the green jewel on the back of Izuku's hand. "Nerd, your quirk is broken. That kind of power is OP as fuck. Now on to my next question. What was up with that explosion I let off at the sludge villain? My strongest explosions are nowhere near as strong as that one was."

"I can answer that one, partner. At this stage of the Boosted Gear, you have access to an ability called Transfer. It lets you transfer seventy to eighty percent of the power you built up from boosting to either a single person or to multiple targets, but in smaller amounts. It's very useful for helping allies in a bit of a pinch."

Izuku and Katsuki looked on in surprise at that before looking back at each other. Izuku was the first to speak. "You're right. This quirk is broken."

Scoffing and letting his usual smirk spread across his face, Katsuki began walking away. "Of course I'm right, ya damn nerd. Now you better train your ass off in the next ten months. If you don't make it into UA with that broken quirk of yours, I'll kick your ass."

Izuku looked at Katsuki as he walked away, a grin on his face as he clenched his fist. "I'll do better than just get in, Kacchan. I'll take the number one spot in the exam!"

And here you go! Chapter two of The Dragon Emperor Hero! Next chapter we will get into a bit of a training montage, because I want to mainly focus on the entrance exam. If you liked the story, please leave a review and let me know! I'll answer some reviews at the beginning of the chapter, but only 4 at most. I personally don't like it when review replies take up as much, if not more, space than the actual story so I will not do that.

Also, i have a new story that may be a one shot, may be a full story on its own, up that's called Bastards. If you enjoy my writing, go check that one out too!

See ya next time!
