Bishop's POV

It's worse than he thought…

They told the jarl of the damn dragon, she got rewarded for it thankfully, but… that's not all.

The stone tablet they found, turns out they needed it. Who knew helping people could also keep you from making another trip. We went there solely to retrieve a golden claw, and it turns out it was a key to a door. He thought it was going to lead to treasure, but it only led to a stone wall with strange carvings which of course fascinated the Elf even more than the puzzle. She looked like she was having a drunken trip for a while.

There was a chest but there was only the stone tablet and some gold. It was enough treasure for her, but it was not worth the trouble.

He was saying that, until now, he was so glad he didn't have to make a second trip to that infernal crypt.

But it only got worse from there…

Now there was a dragon attack, and now they got asked to fight the thing! And she didn't say NO!

He should have known.

He almost had half the mind to say something, but she saved his life. Though now she was asking him to go die for a cause he could care less for, and that was making it a lot harder to not say anything.

They leave the gates of Whiterun, then she turns around and puts her hand out.

"It was good having you as a companion, but it's time we part ways."

"Wait, What?!"

"I'm not going to put your life on the line, you should go your own way."

Now for some reason he was very angry with those words, when he should be happy to hit the road. Now was his chance, but now he is going to screw it up.

"So you're going to go off and fight a flying lizard, with no experience swinging that big sword they gave you and a broken bow. And you just say 'Go ahead and make a run for it while I go kill myself.' Yeah, well, I don't think so, Ladyship."

"I thought you wouldn't want to risk your life for a stranger, I'm trying to make it easy for you."

"You saved my life, I have to return the favor. At least let me try to do what you did for me. If not, you could go die on your own and I'll have to carry the guilt for the rest of my life. So I'm going, whether you like it or not, Labyship."

He saw a smile gracing her beautiful lips, and for some reason… it made his decision worth it.

ahem* "Let's go kill a Dragon!"

"Hehe… okay!"

They made it there and the entire place was demolished, the tower was still standing surprisingly. They were told to investigate, as they did guards came out of the tower screaming to run. Then there it was heading right towards them!

"Hahaaaa… great… yup… were going to die."

He pulled out his bow, ready to fight with all he's got and tried his best to avoid the flames it spit at them. But for some odd reason, the dragon made HER its target.

"Way to make my job harder, YOU OVERGROWN LIZARD!"

It paid him no mind, and continued to make its attacks towards her.

It landed right in front of her, snapping its jaws right at her.

"ELAINE!"

Before he could think of shooting an arrow towards it, she swung her sword and stabbed it right into the roof of its mouth before his teeth could engulf her entire body.

She screamed as she shoved it deeper into its skull, the dragon flopped down breathing its final breaths. She let go of the sword and backed away as it spoke.

"Dovahkiin…"

Then it's entire body started to flare with flames as ashes rose from its body into the sky.

"What's happening?!" "I can't believe my eyes!"

The guards were baffled, as was he with the sight unfolding before him.

Some sort of light and power left its body and circled Elane. Like it was being absorbed into her body. The dragon was nothing more than a pile of bones as the light disappeared.

"No way…"

That was its soul. He's heard stories, but he couldn't believe them to be true until now.

"I'm traveling with the dragonborn… What the Fuck!"

They were once again in front of the jarl. Everything before and during the whole thing was a blur. He was only briefly thrown from his thoughts earlier as the shout 'DOVAHKIIN!' shook the ground as it echoed over the land. Which only made the constant war in his head even louder. He couldn't focus nor process anything that just happened. It was a constant repeat in his head,

'I'm traveling with the Dragonborn. Did she know?! Did she bring him along with the intention of turning out to be a badass while pretending to be a total newbie?! Is she even who she says she is?! Is she going to shout him into oblivion if he asks her those questions?!?!'

"BISHOP!"

"AHHH! DON'T SHOUT AT ME!"

She looked at him with a bit of shock, and then laughed a little as she moved over to pat his shoulder.

"I was just going to ask if you were okay, I've been saying your name for a while. You looked really out of it."

He looked around and saw they were back in Riverwood.

"What… What are we doing here?"

"Oh, well I figured I'd drop you off on my way to High Hrothgar. You probably wouldn't want to climb the 7,000 steps with me. It's not your journey after all."

"How kind of you, Dragonborn."

"Are you doing alright?"

"Never better, Dragonborn."

"You can stop calling me that."

"Why not, Dragonborn?"

"Because it's not me!"

"I'm sorry, but it is you! We all saw it!"

She was angry now.

"LOOK you're not the only one freaking out here! I'm the one that has to deal with this. I'm the Dragonborn, but it's what I am. Not WHO I am!"

"Well I didn't sign up for this!"

"Neither did I! You think I wanted this, it was chosen for me...Though I can't help but feel that they chose wrong…"

She mumbled the last part to herself but he heard it loud and clear. She looked full of worry and doubt it was plain to see.

Regardless that she absorbed a dragon's soul, she was prepared for it as much as he was. Not at all...

He realized how selfish he was being, he really isn't the only one that has to deal with this. She is the one with all the pressure, he's the one that can just walk away if he wants to.

Which made him say this.

"Your right, I'm sorry. I honestly wasn't thinking how it was for you. It was very selfish of me."

She looked at him with confusion, but it was a thankful confusion. Though, he could tell there was still stress running rampid in that pretty little head of hers.

That's when the thought came to him, he realized one thing was clear about this woman. Besides her being the Dragonborn… He had no thoughts of doubt in her, which only made his decision more clear.

"You know what, lemme take your mind off of it for a while. How do you feel about surprises?"

Her worry faded into curiosity.

"Deponds, is it better than being the Dragonborn?"

"Okay that beats it by a mile, but maybe it could be. It's up to you."

"I have nothing better to do… other than finding my destiny… though I could use a break."

"That's the spirit! Guess you'll be getting a view of my ass from here on out. C'mon we gotta get there before dark, I think you're going to like it."

She giggled as he led the way down memory lane.

Elaine's POV

'... he does have a cute butt.'

She followed for what seemed like ages. She couldn't help but stare at it, it was a silent trip. She wanted to nag him and ask if they were there yet, to see his annoyed reaction. Which was the majority of his reactions.

Which is why it surprised her by how thoughtful he could be. She always tried to ask him questions but she quickly rejected the thought of asking him in fear she would be prying in his life. He didn't trust her, so why ask him questions and make him think she had some other motive other than getting to know him. He was traveling with her after all.

She wanted to know more about him, to see more of this thoughtful side he tries to hide. She wanted to know what hurt him so badly, to ease his mind… and his heart. She could tell it hurt him more than any wound that could be inflicted on him. It was an emotional wound, which always cut the deepest.

Though she had to do the same if he was going to ask as well. She figured she might as well be prepared to answer his questions before she'd begin to ask. She knew though that she would never be ready so she'd just have to deal with it when the time came.

But then again, they are going to part ways sooner or later. He's made it clear he wants to leave soon, and she can't ask him to come along on this adventure. That would be selfish of her to drag him on a journey that involves dragon slaying. He could get seriously hurt or even killed… she wasn't going to risk his life like that.

They could keep in touch, but he doesn't seem like the type to care about that kind of thing. So she figured it was best to say nothing and prepare for when it's time for goodbyes.

They came up on a tower on the edge of a cliff, he led her up some stairs and to the edge of the walkway he stopped and turned to greet her.

"Well, here we are, it's no Throat of the world, but it's mine. Well, partly mine, a long time ago. My first home in Skyrim."

"It's- It's beautiful…"

She looked out on the horizon that was draped in the last of the sunlight. She could see on for miles of forests and valleys.

"What… Why did you bring me here?"

"It's where I found Karnwyr as a kub. I haven't been here for… Damn, always feels longer than it actually is. I've never brought anyone here before."

A part of him seemed sad, deep down. It even showed on his face, she wondered if he would ever tell her what troubled his past. That is, if they even see each other again after this…

"This place must mean a lot to you."

"Yea… yea it does. This tower is still standing because of a man I once knew. He's… gone now."

"I am still wondering why you brought someone like me to such a special place. We hardly know anything about each other."

"Well, maybe we could start. Look I made the fist good decision of my life here, I wanted to make you a part of it… Ugh, I'm still not being clear, am I?"

She shook her head in reply. Though for some reason his words made her heart pound. Was he going to say what she thinks he's going to say?

"Well I know after all this Dragonborn business, it must be very hard on you. Since now you will be the very target of every dragon. That and no one will look at you the same as when I met you. No one will look at you without fearing you now, I will admit… after I found out… I was afraid. But then you told me it wasn't WHO you are, that's when I remembered. The woman I met before she was the Dragonborn, she saved my life without hesitation. And I'm sure that even if she was the Dragonborn she still would have done the same. YOU, would have still saved me and helped all those people. I think whoever… or whatever… chose you… was right in doing so… they chose the best person for the job."

She couldn't help but smile as tears welled up in her eyes…

"Okay, who are you and what did you do with Bishop."

She said with a happy chuckle while wiping her eyes quickly.

"Oh Hush, I'm right here, I just… Damnit, Just let me finish alright!"

"There he is."

"Shut up or I won't tell you."

She zipped her mouth shut with a motion, but still had a big smile on her face.

"You're here because… Trust doesn't come easy for me. To me, this is the most important place in Skyrim. I wanted you to know."

'Wait a minute…'

"You… trust me?"

"Yes, you've done so much to show you would never betray anyone. Your actions have said so much for me, I want to do the same."

"Are you sure your Bishop?"

"Really!? By the divines, Yes! I am Bishop, and I want to know… are you willing to do the same, to trust me?"

She felt the need to tease him more.

"Will you answer any questions I ask you?"

"Only the ones I'm comfortable with."

"What about teaching me to use a bow?"

"I will teach you all I know."

"Okay, so does this mean you're going to keep traveling with me?"

"For the love of-... Yes. Now, woman, do you trust me or not?!"

She grabs his hand and pulls him towards her, so that way he's not close to the edge if he loses his balance. She pulls him into a tight hug. He must have been startled because he hesitated in holding her back.

"You have never given a reason not to… I hope I never let you down, Bishop. If I do, you have every right to throw me to the dragons."

She felt his chest huff in laughter as he finally relaxed in her hold. His warmth engulfed her as he let his arms wrap around her small frame. She felt safer than she has felt in a long time.

Though now that she was the Dragonborn she feels that, that is about to change. He decided to stay and travel with her so that means she definitely will have to train harder to keep him safe.

Bishop's POV

Her little body pressed up against his made his heart pound, he hoped she wouldn't hear it since her head laid on his chest. He felt that if he squeezed her any tighter she would break. Were women always this fragile? Was he always this afraid to break them?

He felt lucky for the man that was meant to be hers. That man would get someone who is loving and kind, that is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. He envied that man that would catch her eye. She has such a passion to help others, it's motivating. He couldn't decide if it was a good or bad thing with her newly found ability. She will be able to help others easier but she would also be everyone's target.

With that in mind, he was going to try his best to protect her. If not for himself, then for the man that will win her heart someday. Whoever the lucky bastard might be.

A/N

Yeah, yeah, I know I didn't make this the first kiss scene but I figured this should be a slow process. They went too quick in the mod in my opinion, he was way to eager for sex and considering how sweet he can be I think that makes it really unhealthy.

I think since she is so special that he should treasure her instead of treating her like every other woman he has taken to bed. That his desire to touch her was enough rather than ravishing her. That he cares for her more than he has any other woman without having slept with her. That he would have the desire to someday bed her with passion rather than mindless sex after the first man tries to take her. That makes it sweeter, don't you think?

If you're against it you can look elsewhere.

Cause here we want happy and healthy, not fucking till you feel something.

Says the woman that wants to write tragic scenes you're probably thinking. Well at least he's not insulting her on every turn and making her feel like nothing more than a wench. He's longing to protect her and keep her safe and doing so without having sex first. He wants to protect the person, not the body.

The modded Bishop has sex to "claim her" don't get me wrong, its hot, but it's also really toxic. I want him to love her before he makes love to her. Rather than fuck her and gradually move on to the making love part.

I'm sorry for my ranting, but if you've made it this far and agree then you really do care how people should be treated. Bishop is a beautiful creation, but he could be so much more than a hot sex machine.

Companion, friendship, love, then making love.

Anyway,

Until next time my lovelies!
