"The Backrooms?"

I stare blankly at the paper file in front of me. After a couple more seconds of staring blankly at it, Nana chimed in.

'Are you gonna read it?'

"Oh, right." I took a deep breath not knowing what I was getting myself into. The document read as follows;

[Greetings wonderer and welcome to the Backrooms! If you are reading this currently, that means you are somehow wandered into this god-forsaken place we call the backrooms. How unlucky, well not soo unlucky, you could've spawned on a lower level! Well fret not wonderer, we here at The M.E.G. Now, you may be asking, Who are we? The M.E.G. (A.k.a The "Major Explorer Group") is a Faction made by the People of The Backrooms as it started out as an Exploration Outpost during 2012, to a sort of Military Government for The Backrooms officially in 2014. They are the people that try to keep the Wanderers of The Backrooms safe from Entities, Traps, and other Groups, like The Insurrection, which they are at war with for territory of Levels, like level 3.]

'The M.E.G.? Do you think we could trust them?'

'For now, I think we trust them. They know more than us about this Backrooms than we do after all.'I silently agreed with my predecessor. Although, something did caught my eye, 2014? Damn, that was decades ago. It was I think the year of the 2nd generation of quirks. I wonder what type of quirks they had. I stopped myself before my train of thought went wild with quirks and I continued reading. I began skipping a couple of times where the writer of the document just rambled for one or two paragraphs to get into the meat of it. Until I found the information I was looking for;

[The Backrooms is a large space outside of known reality. Time doesn't work the same, and dangerous entities are lurking in the shadows. This guide is to help newcomers prepare physically and mentally for the Backrooms. So read up, because there have been no documented escapes.]

As I read the last line of the paragraph, My heart dropped. No documented escapes?! 'No! That can't be possible! There has to be an escape! They're an organization that started decades ago, they would have found at least one escape right!?' My heart raced as my thoughts went wild.

'Izuku! Calm down!' Nana Screamed at me from inside my head stopping my thoughts in an instance.

'Maybe they have already found an escape but just forgot to update the document.' Her suggestion made my breath steady as I began to calm down.

'But even if that's not the case, you've done impossible things before, what's the difference now?' My heart calmed down as my train of thought slowed down to a steady halt.

'Thanks, Nana.' After fully calming down, I began to read the document once more.

[Through the many levels of the Backrooms, you're currently on level 0, more specifically, in the Manilla room. The deafening buzzing of its lights, the yellow wallpaper, and the damp floor must have etched themselves into your brain after hours or maybe even days of exploring this level. But may remind you, this is just one of the hundreds of thousands of levels in the Backrooms, and this is considered one of the safer levels.]

I gulped.

[If you're still reading this and haven't taken your own life, you're one determined being. For now, your best goal right now is to reach one of our primary bases, Base Alpha on level one. The only entrance to level 1 through level 0 is to noclip in any way or direction.]

No clipping? Like in video games? This place just gets weirder and weirder the more I read.

[Well how do you noclip? You may have asked. Currently, there are no methods to noclip willingly. Noclips happened at random times and locations. But there are ways to increase the chances of a noclip occurring.]

Following that line were hundreds of ways to increase the chance of a noclip with the writer sometimes rambling on about some random stuff that closely connected to the steps. After, I turned on my 'Full Focus Reading Mode' I finished reading the whole document and engraved every detail in my memory. I took a deep breath and made a summary of the most effective and most usable steps to increase my chances of noclipping. Because some of the steps were straight out impossible. I placed back the document on the brown table for any other wanderers to read it. I slowly walked to the door and pressed my ear on it, closely hearing if there were any creatures nearby. After a solid 2 minutes of silence beside the buzzes of the lights, I opened the door and started sprinting in a random direction not even bothering to activate One for All.

As I ran, I began repeating the steps from the documents. Step 1: Sprint in any direction. Check. Step 2: Clear your mind of any unimportant thoughts. I took a long deep breath and closed my eyes clearing my mind of any incoherent thoughts. I open my eyes just in time to turn left nearly hitting my face into a wall. Check. I kept running for what seemed like 6 minutes until made a turn and find found a straight hallway-ish room with a wall about a couple of meters in front of me.

Step 3. Check. Step 4: Close your eyes, go as fast as you could go, and run straight to the wall. Probably one of the craziest and reckless methods I could have chosen, but it was the most feasible method out of the hundreds that were listed in the document.

Closing my eye, I gathered every kinetic energy that I've gathered from sprinting and direct it to my legs. Red lightning began appearing around my legs as I activated One For All. 'Faux 100%, KENTUCKY ACCELERATION' My eyes shot open as I zipped through the room at breakneck speed. In a millisecond I was centimeters from the wall as time began to slow down and for a split second, I saw something in the wall move before I fainted.

My eyes flickered as I lay down on the concrete floor. I sat up and opened my eyes to see that I was in some sort of warehouse? This must be Level 1. An empty warehouse with low-hanging fog? Yep, this is definitely level 1. Standing up from where I once lay, I looked at my surroundings to see if there was any immediate threat nearby but found none. I quickly activated One For All and began searching for the base that the documents mentioned. It stated that it was near one of Level 1's entrances.

I increased the percentage of One For All I was using and started to jump from wall to wall to quicken my pace. I stopped in my tracks as I thought that I had heard something. As I focused more on listening I made out what it was. It was sobbings. My mind contemplated what I should do. On one hand, this could be someone or something luring me into their trap but on the other hand, if this was a real person sobbing I will never forgive myself for it.

Taking a deep breath, I decided to approach the sound with caution and while still activating my quirk. As I ran, I can hear the sobs louder and louder. It wasn't just any sobs, It was a man's sobs. The deep tone and how slow it was, gave it away. I turned a sharp corner to the left to see a long hallway with what looked like a young man standing in the middle of it. The man was wearing a bulletproof vest, jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt, and a helmet. But there were some od details about his clothes like how one side of his jeans seemed like it was torn off and how his vest looked heavily damaged. Making me more cautious approaching him.

"Hello, sir? Are you alright?" I lightly shouted through the hallway but he doesn't seem to notice me at all. I walked slowly towards him while still asking him the same question over and over again but to no avail. By the 4th time I had asked him the same question, I realized that he was no longer sobbing. The distance between us was just a couple of feet apart. I took one step closer when Danger sense activated sending me warning flares. Out of nowhere, a large yellow lump shot out at me aiming at my head. I swerved my body to the right barely dodging the attack.

I jumped back making the distance between me and that thing bigger. The large lump retracted to its body as similar lumps came out of its body revealing its true form. A tall, pale yellow humanoid stood in front of me. Its sunken white eyes stared directly at me making it clear that I was its target. It leaped towards me with exponential speed and smashed both of its arms on the ground which I dodged by backflipping away.

The ground he smashed was destroyed, showing this was really a monster. Activating Full cowling 30%, I leaped towards the pale yellow lump monster and aimed a punch at its head trying to end this as quickly as possible. Right before my fist connected to its head, it raised its arm and blocked my attack. As my attack hits its arm, a loud crack came from its arm and a translucent liquid came out of it. Acting fast, I pulled my right back and delivered an unexpected kick right to its head knocking it to the sealing. The ceiling cracked and the monster's body fell as I jump back avoiding the body. I panted lightly while still in my fighting position. Its body twitches as it tried to get back up. The ceiling cracked up and collapsed on its body.

"Is it over?" I asked no one in particular but already knew the answer.

'Pretty sure it's dead.' The voice of Nana suddenly chimed in inside of his head. I wasn't surprised, I knew she would eventually talk again at some point. I turned around and began retracing my steps. Where was headed again? Right, Base Alpha. I still haven't had a clue as to where it could be. All I can do right now is keep searching. Although there is something bothering me, the document didn't warn any sort of creatures, it only gave a vague tip [Beware of windows]. I still haven't seen any sort of windows on this level.

I slowed down a little to preserve my energy as I was starting to get tired. After using Faux 100% and fighting whatever that thing was, I didn't take a single break so far. Eventually, I slowed down to a stop because I was so exhausted. I crouched down heavily panting. I've been searching for more or less an hour or at least what felt like an hour. I looked around to see if there was any sign of an outpost or something that has any connection to humans at all.

I didn't find anything but a crate. I looked at it confusingly. A crate. What's a crate doing here? I took a step forward but stopped myself before I could go any further. What am I thinking? That could've been a trap and I would just mindlessly fall for it. My exhaustion is messing with my mind, I need to approach this cautiously. I took a step back and using a small percentage of One For All, Flicked my at the crate creating a powerful enough wind pressure to blow off the top half of the crate. Nothing happened. No monster coming out the crate, nothing seemed to be alarmed by that, and most importantly danger sense hadn't picked up on anything.

I panted harder, dammit, just flicking my finger with One For All is exhausting. I slowly approached the crate, If this is a trap, I'm dead. I looked inside the crate and was surprised to see what I found. A couple of water bottles and what seems like a new set of clothes. I let out a sigh of relief. I took one of the water bottles and inspected it to see what it was. There doesn't seem to be any sign of labeling on it. Uncapping the bottle and sniffed its contents. It smelled vaguely like, vanilla? I took a sip of the bottle and then immediately chugged the whole bottle. It was sweet, so so sweet.

I stopped drinking and took another breather. 'God, I hit the jackpot.' I placed down the empty bottle back at the crate and shifted my attention to the set of clothes that were also in a crate. It was a black sweater with two blue lines on the chest area of the sweater. It seemed to be some kind of thin material, polyester if I had to guess. There were also a pair of black jeans. I should probably change. Another hour in this tuxedo is going to kill me. Quickly changing my clothes, I found out that the sweater and jeans were was exactly my size, not too big, not too small, that was good. Grabbing another bottle of water, I quickly drank it fully and put the bottle and my tuxedo back in the crate. 'I'll come back for it later.'

I activated Full Cowling once more and went back to searching for Base Alpha, but not before taking another bottle for the road.

Across the last what felt like hours, I found and opened a few more crates along the way. Some had more of those sweet-tasting water and some had… stranger things. Like a 50 dollar note. I didn't know if it was going to be useful or not so I just placed it in my pocket. After countless hours of searching, I began wondering if there was actually a base in this level.

That was until a found something. A logo of a circle with a hawk in front of it and a cube on top of its head. It was the logo from the document. Below the logo was an arrow pointing left. I smiled and immediately turn left. Following the logo was more arrows which direct me to where assume was Base alpha. After following the arrows, I saw something in the distance. It was a building. Finally! I quicken my pace and was practically sprinting towards the base before… The lights went out.

I slowed down and by the time I fully stopped the lights were on again. 'What the hell happe-' The sound of gunshots and shouting disturbed my thoughts as I looked towards where the some came from. It was from the base. My eyes widen as I saw 3 of those yellow lump creators attacking the guards. Without giving a second thought, I leaped towards the battlefield increasing the percentage of One For All by the second. With one last leap, I frontflip into a diving kick formation aiming at the creature that was the closest to the guards. 'ST. LOUIS SMASH' In a blink of an eye, I made a direct hit to the creature's side sending it flying to a wall. I landed between the creatures and the guards. Behind me, I could hear one of the guards talking to what I presume would be a walkie-talkie.

"3 Skin stealers and an unknown entity have appeared."

Unknown entity? What is he talking about?

"The entity has bushy green hair and an average stature."

Wait… Is he talking about me?!

(A/N: Well that's a wrap, Hey yall. Sorry that it took me almost a week to update again. It's not because It took soo long, it's the exact opposite really.
