Before I start this chapter, I just want to say thank for ALMOST 500 VIEWS on my first Encanto fanfic! I had no idea it would do so well…maybe because the movie is popular right now?
I honestly have no idea why my first Encanto fanfic is so popular…
Anyway, thank you!
Chapter 2: It's Not Impossible
(Isabela's POV)
Once again, Becky and I wake up to a pounding on our bedroom door.
"Isa! Becky! There's trouble outside Casita!" Tío Bruno exclaims.
With Becky looking nervously at me, we walk hand-in-hand to the entrance of Casita.
We're faced with Becky's parents.
"Why do you keep coming back here? We don't want you here, and we don't need you here. Leave. Now." Becky says, not letting go of my hand.
"Because we want you to come home. We miss you."
"You need to let me move on and forge my own path. I've already done those things, and I don't regret coming here, or marrying mi amor Isa."
"We regret ever bringing you into this world."
My wife gasps at her mother's statement and she backs away, still not letting go of my hand. I step forward, not letting go of my wife's hand.
"You may have regrets about your daughter, but I don't. She's the best thing – the best person – life has given me, and I will love her forever. No matter what." I look back at my wife, and, despite her tears, she smiles at me.
"Becky gives me strength that I cannot form on my own."
"And Isa gives me strength that I cannot form on my own."
"You will regret the day you were born. We'll make sure of it."
"I didn't ask to be born, you know! If I had, I would've made sure I wasn't born prematurely, and I would've made sure I could get to my Isa sooner than I did. Now, please leave."
Becky's parents stand back, appalled.
Suddenly, Antonio's jaguar friend comes close to Becky's parents, growling at them.
"Yeah, I definitely wouldn't mess with the Madrigal family if I were you." Becky says.
Becky's parents glance fearfully at Antonio's jaguar friend, before snatching their former daughter from me.
And, just like that, they're gone.
