George was currently at the local workout gym in Manhatten, New York. During the month George had been away from WWF between April and may, he had been busy moving from Brooklyn to a high New York-style loft apartment that gave a good view of the city, the Empire State Building and the World trade Center. it had been a good change since the shitty rundown apartment he was in looked ready to break, plus the building his old apartment was in, was about to be demolished a month after he moved, so he had to find a new place.
Thankfully the money he earned from his career in wrestling had helped him buy a new place.
It was Monday and George had been given the night off, so he didn't need to come to RAW tonight which was being aired at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Tennessee which was 891 miles from Manhatten and a 14-hour drive.
As George was doing bench presses, he heard a familiar voice. "Well, wasn't expecting to see you here." He lifted his head to see Trish dressed in a dark gray sports bra and black yoga pants. "Wassup, partner?"
George snorted as he finished his bench presses and stood. "Not much, blondie."
Trish rolled her eyes. "Stop calling me that. You make me sound like those dumb blondes from horror movies."
"Well, you do have the big-" George began to cheekily say when he saw the glare she was giving him. "I'll stop now."
While having accepted having a manager with him on screen, George was still getting used to it and hadn't interacted with Trish much outside of WWE, save for that one time they went out for some lunch. They mostly kept their interactions at arenas before they go out through the curtain, and George knew they had to make a working friendship outside of the ring or else it could affect them on screen.
George had also giving Trish some advice, such as to keep her nose out of anything going on between the wrestlers. the last thing George or anybody wanted was another case of Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. Plus, George and Mark (Undertaker) had taken to making sure nobody was causing anybody else hassle or bullying the wrestlers.
And nobody wanted to mess with the Undertaker or piss off the Bladewolf, even off screen and out of the ring.
"So, you here to workout as well?" George asked as he walked over to the weighs and started using them.
"Yeah, gotta keep this body fit as well you know?" Trish chuckled as she laid a mat down and began to do some stretches, which caused George's attention to go to her well curved and voluptuous body. he watched as she stretched a leg out and managed to touch her toes with her fingers, then arched her back which caused her breasts to bounce a little and George couldn't help but stare since her bra revealed quite a lot of cleavage. Eventually George looked away before she could spot him and think he as some pervert.
"So, this your usual workout place?" Trish asked as she glanced at him. "The Mid City Gym & Training?"
"Yep." George grunted as he laid on his back down, pushing the weighs up with barely little strain since it wasn't the heaviest he had lifted, it was more of between medium and heavy which he was doing right now. "Love working out here. What about you?"
"Same." Trish nodded as she moved to lay on her back and started doing sit ups with her hands behind her head, keeping her feet perfectly still and her knees bent up.
George watched her for a moment before continuing his own workout.
"So, how's your brothers?" Trish asked. While George didn't go into his personal life much, and Trish understood so she didn't push, he did open up a little and told her about his two older brothers, jack and Daryl, who are also wrestlers but they are signed to WCW and debuted back in mid-1997 as the Jackal and the Bloodwolf respectively, where they are a tag team known as Bulletproof and the longest reigning WCW Tag Team Champions. they had recently won the titles for a 5th time after all the titles were vacated and the storylines rebooted.
"Doing good." george said. "Guys are getting fed up with what's going on backstage at WCW though, what with the bosses there deciding to reboot the storylines and vacate the titles. It's clear to them and everybody else that WCW is going down into the sea."
"Well, considering WWF has been kicking their ass since 1999, I knew it would happen." Trish said.
"Yeah, plus according to jack, it's because of Hogan's ego and creative protection that is one of the things responsible for WCW's current downfall. And I agree after what i saw at the 1997 Starrcade."
"You watch WCW?" Trisha sked with a raised eyebrow.
"Course I do, my brothers are in it and have been doing well. Both have been WCW World Heavyweight Champion at least once in the three years they've been with the company." George said. "Anyway, ever heard fo what happened at Starrcade 1997?"
"No." Trish shook her head.
"Well, the main event was Sting vs Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and Sting was clearly meant to win after 15 months of silence which inspired me to remain silent during my masked gimmick." George explained. "Jack phoned me that night and told me that the reason the event went the way it did was because Hogan didn't like that Sting would win the title after 15 months of no matches and this being his first match back, clearly his ego couldn't accept it. From what jack and Daryl learned, the match was supposed to echo the Montreal Screwjob finish, which just happened a month before Starrcade at the 1997 Survivor Series event. Nick Patrick, the referee for the contest, was supposed to execute a fast count on Sting while Bret Hart, whose signing with WCW was the linchpin for the Montreal Screwjob, would come out to protest the decision and, since he had already served as the guest referee for the match between Larry Zbyszko and Eric Bischoff earlier that evening, order the match to be restarted and Sting would emerge victorious by forcing Hogan to submit to the Scorpion Death Lock. However, Patrick did not do his part properly and instead counted the pin at normal speed."
"You don't like Hulk Hogan much, do you?" Trish asked, seeing he had a dislike for the Hulkster.
"I used to, but now... no." George shook his head. "If he ever came back to WWF, he sure as hell better not cause problems or start something with me."
Trish hummed as she contnued her sits up for several more seconds before she finished and started to do push ups afterwards. "So, any chance Jack and Daryl will come to WWF?"
"They've been in talks with Vince about jumping ship with how things have been going." George said as he put the weights down and took a drink of water. "They don't like the way things are going, and are thinking of coming over here as soon as they are booked to lose the WCW Tag team titles."
"Hoping to make a 3-man team, huh?" Trish asked with a smirk.
George snorted. "Me in Bulletproof? We'd be better than the freaking nWo when it was just Hogan, Nash and Hall. But one of our dreams is to be in the same ring together and be Tag Team Champions together, which we should considering the Freebird rule where all three members of a team would be recognised as Tag Team Champions, and I've only won a Tag Team title once in my career."
"Well, who knows what the future holds." Trish shrugged as she went back to her workout. George smiled, feeling a little more open now as he spoke with her. He didn't usually like to go personal or talk about his family as it ended up referring to his parents and other family members who he had bad blood with because of his and his brothers' choices to become professional wrestlers.
But with Trish, she seemed to make him accept opening up...
Sorry the chapter was short and probably shit, I'm not good at doing off screen chapters but I want to make it work. I want George and Trish to develop their relationship instead of just time skipping and showing it off on screen like I did the last time.
