RAW is WAR: 28/8/2000
RAW is WAR was live at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Just 24 hours after SummerSlam, tensions were running high at the top of the show, Commissioner Mick Foley called Michael Cole into his office, announcing that coming off the best SummerSlam of all time, he was going to try to book the best RAW of all time. The commish announced a plethora of match-ups, including four title matches - highlighted by The Rock putting his World Wrestling Federation Championship on the line against Kane!
Backstage, Triple H paced back and forth, awaiting the arrival of his wife, who he apparently hadn't seen in 24 hours.
Chris Jericho hit the ring with the Acolytes to take on Chris Benoit and T&A as the in-ring action started on RAW. But before Benoit could even make it to the ring, Y2J attacked the Wolverine up on the ramp. During the match, Jim Ross announced that Kurt Angle was not expected to be at RAW due to the serious concussion he sustained at SummerSlam. Albert soon picked up Jericho in a gorilla press, but Bradshaw kicked Albert, and Jericho crashed down onto Albert. A Lionsault later, Y2J and the APA picked up the win!
As Triple H awaited his wife in the parking lot, his buddy X-Pac approached him and cracked a joke about Stephanie being in good hands. The Game wasn't in a joking mood though, and walked away from X-Pac.
The Road Dogg soon came out to console Triple H and said he wouldn't crack any jokes.
He said that being a married man, he could understand the Game's plight. He then told Triple H that waiting wouldn't get Stephanie to the building any faster.
Shockingly, Kurt Angle then made his way to the ring! He said that SummerSlam could have been the greatest night of his life, but the concussion given to him by Triple H ruined that. He brought up the fact that the Game hit his wife, and that The Rock then beat Triple H. Angle said that, of what he remembers, he came back to save Stephanie. He then called Triple H a shady character, saying that what he did to Stephanie was deplorable and borderline criminal. He said that Triple H was a lousy Federation Champion and an even lousier husband.
That brought out Triple H, who was as focused as ever. The Game said that Angle didn't get a concussion, he gave him a concussion! Triple H said he wouldn't kick Kurt's ass yet, because there was one thing he wanted to know - Stephanie's whereabouts. The Game said that if Kurt didn't tell him, then SummerSlam would be nothing compared to what happened on RAW.
Kurt said he wasn't a kidnapper, saying he would leave the criminal activity to Triple H. Angle said he didn't remember anything from the previous night, and that he didn't know where Stephanie was. Triple H then called Kurt an ignorant jackass, but then said that he wasn't that dumb. He then demanded to know once again.
Kurt then reminded Triple H that he is an Olympic gold medalist, and he only speaks the truth.
He then said that maybe Stephanie was scared of Triple H, or that she doesn't trust him, or that his punch finally knocked some sense into her, and she was finally seeing him for the bastard he is!
That was it. The Game knocked Angle from the ring, and although still suffering the effects of a concussion, Angle tried to fight back, but officials separated the two.
Next up was the Bladewolf vs Eddie Guerrero in a singles match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
In the arena, Eddie Guerrero's theme hits and out comes Guerrero with Chyna at his side. Guerrero was looking to win the title for the first time and looking to defeat the newly crowned Champion who won the title last night at SummerSlam. Guerrero entered the ring while Chyna remained at ringside and Guerrero's theme dies down as he waits for the Intercontinental Champion.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Dead Silent plays to a pop from the fans as smoke fills the stage, the lights dimming to a familiar sinister blood red and dark blue. Trish is standing on the stage in a dark robe, dressed in leather as usual, before the Bladewolf walks out, the Intercontinental Championship around his waist, and stands in front of her, facing the ring with a dark glare on his face.
Trish takes the robe off, then walks around him, running a hand seductively across his shoulders as she walks forward to the ring while singing.
"He is time... famine, war... pestilence you cannot endure..." Trish gets in the ring and seductively rubs her body against the ropes as she continues while getting more frantic by the second. "the end is here... the end is here! Fall and Pray! Fall and Pray! Fall and PRAY!"
The lights flash blood red repeatedly as Trish falls to her knees and moves out the way as Bladewolf appears in the ring, unleashing a primal yell as he stands under the flashing red lights while the songs repeats the 'fall and pray' part.
Bladewolf beats his chest in sync with the drum part of the theme and the song slowly ends as Trish slides between Bladewolf's legs and poses on her knees in front of him while her back is pressed against his knees.
The lights go to normal and Trish gets to her feet as Bladewolf takes off his coat followed by his short-sleeved shirt to reveal his ring gear underneath. Bladewolf then takes off his Intercontinental Championship and hands it to the referee.
The referee holds the title up, showing it's on the line, then hands it to someone at ringside before calling for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Right off the bat, Guerrero runs... INTO A SPEAR FROM BLADEWOLF! Bladewolf gets to his feet and grabs Guerrero, sets him up... AND HITS THE JACKHAMMER! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THREE!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dead Silent plays as Bladewolf stands to his feet and Trish enters the ring after grabbing the Intercontinental Championship, which she hands to her boyfriend who raises it to a pop from the fans. Bladewolf looks to see Chyna checking on Guerrero and tilts his head before he hands the title back to Trish and walks over. Chyna turns around... INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Chyna up... AND PLANTS HER WITH A CHOKESLAM!
Bladewolf grabs Guerrero and lifts him onto his right shoulder, positions him in front of him while holding him upside down... AND HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
Trish has a microphone in hand. "This.. was just a mere demonstration of what happens top those who foolishly challenge the Wolf of Darkness and Destruction. This... is him accepting what's always been." She hands the mic to him.
Bladewolf flips his hair back. "I... am... A DEMON!"
He drops the mic, lifts his arms up before throwing them down which makes lightning hit the turnbuckles and causes fire to explode from them as his theme plays. Trish clips the Intercontinental Championship around Bladewolf's waist and then kisses him to wolf whistles from the fans. Bladewolf takes his bat and the duo leave afterwards...
And that's it for this chapter everyone. BW's gonna focus on the Intercontinental Championship instead of the WWF Championship just now, but eventually he'll go back to wanting the big title... in 2001.
