23 hours before possible invasion

President Harry Witmen has been tired for the last 2 years, ever since winning the Presidency in 2016 he has been dealing with conflicts left and right. First it was the problems with the illegal immigrants coming in from Mexico and Central America, then he had to deal with ISIS and the Taliban in North Africa and Afghanistan, then he tried talks with Rocketman of North Korea, and many other things that increased his stress.

"I should've never ran for President, I feel like I've grown 10 years!" Witmen muttered to himself, Unfortunately for him things would get a lot worse than he imagined.

An aide ran into the Oval office with worry in her face. "Mr. President, you won't believe what just happened?!" Witmen had a look of annoyance "Can't I just get a few days of peace?" He thought. "What now? Did China or Russia declare war on us?"

"...Well no Mr. President, I fear that its worse than that." The aide said.

"What can be more important than another superpower going to war with us?" The President asked.

The aide explained. " Well sir we have gotten reports from the SETI Institute they have found and confirmed the presence of Alien life."

Harry was shocked and was at a loss for words. It had taken him a few seconds to recompose himself and he asked "So where are these Aliens?" The aide said " Well the area we found them in was that they are in the orbit of Saturn currently-"

Witmen interrupted " How the hell did they get to Saturn without any of our sensors picking up their presence? Are they using stealth tech? Are they hostile? DO THEY WANT TO FUCKING INVADE US?!" The President exploded

"Sir please calm down, at the moment we don't know how they arrived here but yes an sealth field is our best guess at the moment, but to be honest we do not know if they are hostile. We have made contact with them and this is what they said."

The aid gives the President a tablet with a recording of what Anakin said. Harry thought about the recording for a few moments then said" So they found us because a wormhole took Voyager 1, they claim they want peace but they have a fleet of ships that looks like it's made for war and they are threatening us for a response. This is basically giving them a free pass to invade us. How would they know that we would have the capability to respond, for all we know they could be using an entirely different type of communication!"

Witmen again was annoyed by the fact these arrogant aliens demanded a response from the people of the Earth and in 24 hours?! Are they insane?!

The aide said " Mr. President, an Intern at the Institute, has suggested a way to communicate with the Aliens on the war ships." "Who is the intern?" " His name is Ryan Harrisson, an undergrad at Berkeley and had an affinity with anything with space since as a child but due to him having no legs he wasn't able to realize his dream to be an astronaut." " Yes… bring him to the White House, we have many things to discuss."

Aboard the Resolute

Anakin was standing in the center of the bridge around him where clones were working on the consoles and keeping tabs on these Terrains that the clones would dubbed them as.

Anakin did not mean when he said that a drop ship would be coming down as an invasion force. He meant it as a possibility that these Terrains did not have the capability to contact the ship. Ever since he said those words he has had a nervous feeling that the natives took it the wrong way.

"I must report to the council about this." Anakin thought. So he went to the holo-comm and he was able to get in contact with him. "Knight Skywalker please report on what you have found. " Master Ki-Adi-Mundi said "Yes, these days interesting they are." Yoda said with interest. "Well I was able to come out of hyperspace by a gas giant the Terrains call Saturn."

"Terrains?" Windu asked "Yes, it is what the clones have started calling them. We have also made contact with them, but I have my doubts that they would have the capability to contact us." "Why would you think that Knight?" Ki-Adi-Mundi asked

"Well the reason behind this is that even though they have advanced a little bit compared to the Voyager, I don't think they are able to do the same as us." "We have discovered that they have a very early space station and a small base on their planet's moon, not only that we have found a communication area that they call the internet where it seems everything you wanted to search for would show up."

Yoda was in deep thought. "Anakin wrong you are about these 'Terrains' capabilities." Yoda said with a hint of disappointment.

" What do you mean master?" Yoda continued " I have been having feelings about these Terrains and I can believe that they have the same technology of communication as us." Now it was Anakin's turn to be in deep thought and a few seconds later he said " Oh now I understand, what you mean is that they also have radio waves!"

Yoda nodded but began speaking again. " Knight I also know you are hiding something from us and I would like to know what." Anakin sighed no matter how many times he tried to hide it Yoda was always able to know what he had been feeling no matter how far he was. " Well I wasn't planning on telling you but since you already caught me I guess I'll explain, when I was talking to them I said that you have within 24 hours to come with a response and since I said that I have a feeling that the way I said it caused them to become hostile to us."

Yoda nodded and said " Yes indeed you have caused them to become hostile with the Republic at the moment, so Knight Skywalker you are tasked to make sure they won't attack.

Anakin said "Yes master" and the holo-comm ended. He needed to do something quickly or the natives of Earth would be a possible enemy to the Republic. Anakin had only one option in his sleeve: to get Padame ready for diplomatic talks with the Terrains.

What will happen? Will Anakin succeed and gain an ally for the Republic? Or will he fail and come back empty handed and leave Earth up for the CIS?
