I've put up a poll that would decide a later decision in Bladewolf's career. Should he go part-time with WWE by 2014 so he can go to other wrestling companies or should he remain full time with WWE? The poll is up for you to decide and won't close until I get to 2013.
Disclaimer: I do not own WWE.
SmackDown: 8/3/2001
SmackDown was live at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C.. The show opened with a Tag Team Championship match as the Hardy Boyz - who won the titles on Monday's episode of RAW is WAR - defended against former champions the Dudley Boyz. The Dudleys were able to hit Jeff with the 3-D - but as the ref was about to make the three-count, Christian ran down and pulled the ref out of the ring. As Buh Buh screamed at Christian, Matt Hardy snuck up behind and nailed Buh Buh with a neckbreaker. Jeff then pinned Buh Buh for a successful title defense! After the bout, an irate Buh Buh and D-Von pulled Christian into the ring, where they gave him a "wassap!" headbutt, and then Buh Buh powerbombed Christian through a table!
In a backstage locker room, Mr. McMahon was on the phone with someone, saying that he had some major humiliation in store for SmackDown, which would be even better that what he did on RAW, since it was personal.
Debra then walked into Mr. McMahon's locker room. Debra said she was upset about managing The Bladewolf, who will face her husband - Stone Cold Steve Austin - at WrestleMania, and that trish Stratus, Bladewolf's girlfriend, will manage Stone Cold.
Mr. McMahon said he was shocked on RAW when Debra resigned and said she wanted to go back to managing. The owner said he wanted to reward Debra for all her hard work, and he decided to allow her to manage one of the WWF's greatest superstars! Mr. McMahon said that he now understood the personal conflict, but he had always thought of Debra as a goal-oriented career woman. He told Debra to go back to Texas to be a housewife if she really wanted to, but he said he thought she could do a good job. Debra said it was an uncomfortable situation, but she was up for the challenge. Before Debra left, Mr. McMahon told her that he really admired the necklace she was wearing.
Next up, Chris Jericho faced Val Venis of the Right to Censor. Ivory joined Michael Cole and Tazz on color commentary for the bout, and Cole confronted her with locker-room rumors that Chyna is considering a comeback, possibly even challenging Ivory for the Women's Championship at WrestleMania! Ivory said that Chyna might want to re-think that, considering what she had done to Chyna in the past. Jericho was soon knocked outside the ring, where he was attacked by members of the Right to Censor! But the APA came out to help Y2J! With the ref distracted, Mr. Richards jumped into the ring and nailed Y2J with a Stevenkick, but Jericho kicked out at two! Jericho then hit a Lionsault onto Venis to win the match!
"Hermie" then interviewed Kurt Angle, asking Angle if he had any regrets about breaking Scotty 2 Hotty's ankle on RAW. Angle said his only regret was how long it took to break Scotty's ankle! As Angle was talking, Grand Master Sexay - Scotty's partner - started screaming at him, and Sexay had to be restrained. Angle told Sexay that he couldn't last five minutes with him, since he was an "Olympic freakin' champion!" One of the men holding Sexay back - Test - took offense to Angle's words, and Test challenged Angle for later in the night on SmackDown. Angle accepted the challenge, and promised to break Test's ankle just as he broke Scotty's!
Chris Benoit then walked into the Radicalz' locker room, where Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko were talking. Benoit turned his back on the three men and challenged Guerrero to attack him. Guerrero ran at the Wolverine, but Saturn and Malenko held him back! Benoit mocked Guerrero, but Saturn and Malenko wouldn't allow Guerrero to get near the Wolverine. Benoit then told the three men that if they wanted a piece of him, to meet him in the ring in a Gauntlet Match. Benoit promised to take out all three men.
Bladewolf and Trish Stratus were shown in their locker room, Trish pacing back and fourth in front of her boyfriend. "Calm down, Trish. I know how mad you are, but you need to relax." Bladewolf said but Trish whirled on him.
"How mad I am?! I don't wanna be that beer smelling, bald headed pig manager. Vince made me your manager the first day I came here and he does this!" Trish said before throwing her hands up with a frustrated groan.
Bladewolf put a hand on her shoulder. "I don't like it any more than you do. I hate what that old bastard's doing but you need to be tough now. This manager switch up won't last long anyway. Come WrestleMania, it'll be you and I together in the main event as I beat Austin and rightfully become the new WWF Champion. Until then, just put up with Austin's antics for now."
Trish sighed but nodded. "Fine. But you better not think about fooling around with Debra, especially when you two are on the road."
Bladewolf pulled her close. "Trish, you are my one true queen and I'm your one true king. My love for you is infinite and never ending, I would never break that trust."
The two leaned forward and started kissing each other, engaging in a makeout session.
Next up, Benoit took on Saturn, Malenko and Guerrero in a Gauntlet Match, where he faced all three of his Radicalz partners in consecutive matches. Benoit won the first fall, forcing Saturn to tap out to the Crossface. The Wolverine also won the second fall, pinning Malenko with a roll-up. Before Guerrero walked to the ring, Malenko and Saturn brutally attacked Benoit from behind. Guerrero then got into the ring and nailed Benoit with a suplex and a frog splash to win the match.
Next up, William Regal faced Al Snow in a match to determine who would become the new commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation! Regal soon aggravated Snow by knocking one of Snow's midgets off the ring apron. As Al went to check on his little friend, Regal snuck up from behind and slammed him for the pinfall! William Regal is the new commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation! After the bout, Regal suplexed one of the midgets for good measure!
Triple Hand his wife walked out to the ring, and the only thing on Triple H's mind was WrestleMania, and the fact that he believes he belongs in the main event.
The Game said that in his seven years in the World Wrestling Federation, he had beaten everyone who had come along to get to where he is today - including both Bladewolf and Stone Cold, the men who will face off in the main event of WrestleMania. The Game said he didn't understand how it was that he had defeated everyone in the Federation, and yet wasn't in the main event of WrestleMania!
One superstar took exception to Triple H's claims of dominance - the Undertaker! Taker said two things - first, that Triple H was trespassing in his yard, and second, that Triple H had never beaten him! The Undertaker said that he had been dominating for the past decade of destruction! Taker said that while Triple H was clawing his way to the top of the mountain, Undertaker was burying people underneath the mountain! The Taker said that he wasn't the Demon Wolf or the Rattlesnake - he was the Dead Man, and the Game had never beaten him!
The Taker said he didn't like Triple H, he didn't respect Triple H and he didn't fear Triple H. The Game then tried to hit the Taker, but the Dead Man blocked it and knocked out the Game!
Backstage, Haku and Rikishi talked about how they were going to take out The Bladewolf in their Handicap Match later in the show. Rikishi said that he had run down Stone Cold with a car, and tonight he would follow orders which someone had given him, and take out The Bladewolf. Rikishi then said he would also follow orders to stick his ass in Mrs. Austin's face!
Next up was the main event.
In the arena, Rikishi's theme hits and out comes Rikishi and Haku who make their way down to the ring to boos from the fans. The two Samoans get into the ring and Rikishi's theme soon dies down as they wait for their opponents.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
'Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah! Get up, come on get down with the sickness!'
Down with the Sickness by Disturbed played to a loud pop from the fans and out comes the Bladewolf under normal lightning with Debra at his side, the WWF Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bladewolf glances at Debra before he walks on down to the ring with Debra following him.
"And their opponent, being accompanied by Debra, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, he is the World Wreatling Federation Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced.
Bladewolf gets onto the ring apron and step into the ring over the top rope but holds the ropes open for Debra to enter the ring without taking his eyes off Rikishi and Haku. Bladewolf takes off his Intercontinental Championship as his theme dies down, and he hands the title to Debra who gets out art ringside as the referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Rikishi gets out onto the ring apron, meaning Haku will start the match off for his team. Bladewolf adjusts his elbow pads before he drives his boot into Haku's stomach, followed by an uppercut that knocks Haku into the corner. Bladewolf hammers away on Haku with a fury of right hands, causing the referee to step in but Bladewolf whirls on him, scaring him back. Bladewolf runs at Haku and hits a turnbuckle clothesline. Bladewolf drives his elbow into the side of Haku's head before landing a hard right hand then Irish whips Haku but Haku reverses it, pulls Bladewolf into a headbutt that drops the Intercontinental Champion.
Haku hits some falling headbutts to the Bladewolf before he hammers away on the Demon Wolf with several forearms across the body of the Bladewolf before he pulls Bladewolf to his feet and tags in Rikishi who comes in and clotheslines Bladewolf right off his feet and onto his back. Rikishi rebounds off the ropes and hits a running elbow drop on Bladewolf's stomach, causing the WWF Intercontinental Champion to clutch his stomach in pain.
Rikishi pulls Bladewolf to his feet before he Irish whips him into the corner, runs and nails a turnbuckle clothesline that makes Bladewolf fall onto his front. Bladewolf tries getting to his feet but Rikishi brings an elbow down on Bladewolf's back then jumps and slams down on Bladewolf's back with his body. Rikishi gets to his feet as Bladewolf weakly pulls himself up using the ropes and turns around into a knifedge chop to the throat from Rikishi, dropping the WWF Intercontinental Champion.
Rikishi pulls Bladewolf to his feet before he Irish whips him into the ropes and Bladewolf comes running into a back body drop by Rikishi. Bladewolf rolls out of the ring as Rikishi follows and grabs him before Rikishi rams Bladewolf's head off the steel steps, then drops the WWF Intercontinental Champion with a hard punch to his face. Rikishi grabs Bladewolf and Irish whips him into the steel steps hard.
Rikishi grabs Bladewolf again, lifts him onto his shoulder and hits a powerslam on the floor. Rikishi picks Bladewolf up and tosses him back into the ring before sliding in after him. Rikishi drags him into the corner where Rikishi gets up onto the middle turnbuckle... AND HITS THE BANZAI DROP! HE GOES FOR THE COVER! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF JUST BARELY KICKED OUT!
Rikishi grabs Bladewolf and Irish whips him into the corner hard before he runs and hits a leaping body splash on Bladewolf in the corner, then hoists Bladewolf up again, looking for the Sitout Piledriver but Bladewolf slides off Rikishi's shoulder and shoves him forward and Rikishi turns around only to be lifted up onto Bladewolf's shoulders to a pp from the fans but Rikishi gets off and Bladewolf turns around... INTO A SUPERKICK! RIKISHI HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT AGAIN!
Rikishi stands up as he seems unable to believe it and shakes his head before he turns around... AND BLADEWOLF SITS UP! Rikishi lands some hits that do no damage or affect Bladewolf at all. Bladewolf blocks a right from Rikishi and lands one of his own before he irish whips him across the ring, hits the turnbuckle clothesline and lifts Rikishi onto his shoulder and... NAILS SNAKE EYES! Bladewolf backs up as Rikishi turns around only to be lifted onto Bladewolf's right shoulder... AND SLAMMED WITH A RUNNING POWERSLAM!
Bladewolf stands and raises his right hand, signalling the Chokeslam as the fans are on their feet. Rikishi gets to his feet and turns around... INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf goes to lift Rikishi up... BUT HAKU ATTACKS FROM BEHIND!
Bladewolf releases Rikishi and throws a right at Haku as he goes back and fourth in fighting off Rikishi and Haku, never one to accept defeat easily. Bladewolf keeps it up before he big boots Rikishi, runs... AND NAILS THE SPEAR! Bladewolf jumps to his feet with a primal roar as he pulls the straps of his ring attire to his waist and flips his hair back.
Bladewolf turns to see Haku stumbling, lifts him up onto his shoulders... AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BLADEWOLF WINS!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Down with the Sickness plays as Bladewolf gets to a knee, Debra clapping for him at ringside with a smile. Bladewolf gets to his feet and leans on the ropes before he turns around... INTO A SUPERKICK FROM RIKISHI!
Rikishi drags Bladewolf over to the corner, gets onto the second turnbuckle... AND HITS THE BANZAI DROP ON BLADEWOLF! Bladewolf groans in pain as he clutches his chest in pain. Rikishi then turns his attention to Debra who goes wide eyed as she backs up into the corner but Haku grabs her from behind and holds her in the corner in position for the Stinkface as Rikishi starts setting it up.
Suddenly, Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme hits and the WWF Champion comes sprinting down to the ring, slides in and unloads on Rikishi, then knocks Haku out of the ring before furiously attacking Rikishi, the man who ran him over with a car and just now attempted to hurt his wife.
As Austin's theme plays, he rolls out the ring and starts making his way to the back but sees Debra checking on the Bladewolf on the Titantron and looks back to see this with a very unpleased expression. SmackDown goes off the air...
And that's it for this chapter everyone. Remember to vote for the poll because I have two paths chosen for Bladewolf to go regarding which decision is made. Will he go part-time with WWE by 2014 to go to other wrestling companies like NJPW, TNA and ROH or should he remain in WWE full-time?
