SmackDown: 19/4/2001

SmackDown was live at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Tennessee. As the show went on the air from Nashville, Tenn., Commissioner William Regal sauntered to the ring. Regal greeted his good friends in Nashville, and then demanded that Undertaker and Kane come to the ring.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The pyro exploded and then Rollin played to a loud pop before the Undertaker, Kane and the Bladewolf walked out together, Kane carrying the WWF Hardcore Championship in hand. The Brothers of Destruction make their way down the ramp and enter the ring, Bladewolf taking out his baseball bat and leaning it against his shoulder as he stared at a now nervous looking regal who spotted the baseball bat.

Undertaker's theme dies down as Regal regains some of his composure despite the three brothers staring at him.

"Now, I don't know know who you three think you are." Regal said as he looked between the brothers. "But I will not have you three coming out as you did on RAW while Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H were celebrating in the ring. it will not be tolerated! you should not interfere in other people's business! So what i suggest you three do is stay away from Steve Austin and Triple H, as I'm sure they'll stay away from you. Now Kane, seeing as you look ready for action, i think it is only fair for the people of Nashville to see you defend your title against a man who will be accompanied by his good friends, Edge and Christian, at 280 lbs... Rhyno!"

Rhyno's theme hits and out he comes with Edge and Christian and a referee as regal leaves the ring. The Brothers of Destruction share a look and Undertaker says something to Bladewolf who reluctantly nods before they face the trio coming down the ramp.

Rhyno, Edge and Christian slide into the ring... AND START FIGHTING WITH THE BROTHERS OF DESTRUCTION!

Undertaker fights Christian, Bladewolf fights Edge and Kane fights Rhyno.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Bladewolf clotheslines Edge over the top rope, sending him out of the ring, before he helps Undertaker with Christian as Kane is fighting Rhyno. Undertaker and Bladewolf send Christian over the top rope and to the floor as Kane uppercuts Rhyno hard enough to send Rhyno stumbling through the ropes and out the ring, now the action spills to the outside.

The Bladewolf and the Undertaker focus on Edge and Christian, while Kane still focuses on Rhyno, who manages to ram Kane's masked face off the steel steps. Bladewolf sends Christian over the barricade and climbs over to follow, fighting Christian through the crowd as Undertaker follows with Edge, leaving Kane and Rhyno to themselves.

Kane and Rhyno end up taking their fight back into the ring and Rhyno runs straight into a big boot from Kane , who then goes up to the top turnbuckle, jumps off... AND NAILS A FLYING CLOTHESLINE! Kane gets to his feet and raises his right arm, signalling the Chokeslam is coming. Rhyno stumbles to his feet and turns around... INTOA GOOZLE! Kane lifts Rhyno up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!

Before Kane can go for the cover... HE IS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN AND TRIPLE H WITH STEEL CHAIRS! Austin and Triple H assault Kane with the chairs, not giving the Big Red Machine any chance to fight back as they attack the legs and head of Kane to keep him down. Austin and Triple H then start driving the blunt edge of the chairs into Kane's arm to further hurt him.

Triple H then holds Kane's arm out, allowing Austin to continue attacking the arm with the steel chair. Rhyno then crawls over and gets an arm over Kane's chest! ONE! TWO! THREE! WE HAVE A NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Triple H's theme plays as Rhyno rolls out the ring while Triple H and Austin stand over Kane with smug smirks on their faces, enjoying what they have just done to Kane. They quickly left when the Bladewolf and the Undertaker ran through the crowd and slide into the ring, checking on kane right away. Bladewolf gets to his feet, picking up one of the steel chairs and throws it in Austin and Triple H's direction, glaring at the two men that have taken away the WWF and Intercontinental Championships from him.

Bladewolf and Undertaker glare at Austin and Triple H before checking on Kane.

During the break, the Undertaker and Bladewolf helped Kane to the back, Kane clutching his left arm which appears to be broken at the hands of Stone Cold and Triple H.

Undertaker, Bladewolf and Kane are shown walking down the hallway backstage, Kane still clutching his injured arm and gritting his teeth in pain.

"Hang tight, we're gonna get us some payback before the night's over." Undertaker assured Kane.

"And I know just the way to do it, but first we need to pay someone a visit." Bladewolf said darkly as he held his baseball bat before he halted someone passing them with the bat. "Hey, where's Regal's office?" Not wanting to be beaten up by the pissed off brothers, the man was quick to point out where Regals' office was. "Right. By the way, you might want to call 911 by the way."

With that, the brothers continued on their way and made it to Regal's office, barging in like they owned the place. regal looked up and his expression paled as he saw the three brothers who looked extremely angry, well Bladewolf and Undertaker did since Kane's wearing a mask but Regal can tell Kane was angry.

"H-How can i-" regal began to say but was silenced when Bladewolf placed his bat against Regal's chin.

"Just shut up." Undertaker told him. "Listen, we just got set up and somebody owes me an explanation."

"But i-" regal tried to say but was cut off when Bladewolf raised the bat, ready to bring it down.

"Don't even insult us like that or else Bladewolf here is gonna show you what a baseball bat to the face feels like." Undertaker threatened. "Let me tell you what's going to happen. You are going to give Triple H and Austin to us! And when we're through with them, Edge, Christian and Rhyno... we want them!"

Regal, scared as he was, was able to speak. "Quite frnkly, I'm not inclined to grant your request! I don't have to do this!"

"Is that right?" Bladewolf raised an eyebrow as he and Undertaker shared a look.

"Yes!" Regal nodded.

"Kane..." Bladewolf looks at Kane. "Will you show the Commissioner what happens when someone upsets you?"

Kane nods before he sets the trashcan on fire, scaring regal. "W-What the blazes?!"

"When Kane gets upset... things seem to go up in flames." Bladewolf said as Kane starts setting objects on fire. "Now, do we have what we want?"

"O-Okay! You got your match! You got Edge and Christian for the Tag Team titles tonight." Regal quickly said.

"Getting warmer now." Undertaker said. "What else?"

"What more do you want?! What more can I give you?!" Regal asked.

"Kane... either Mr. Regal has a problem with his memory..." Undertaker looks at Kane, "Or he doesn't understand how serious you are."

Bladewolf turns Regal's chair so he can see Kane set the nearby plant on fire. "Now Regal, unless you want Kane to do more or possibly set you on fire, I'd give us what we want and that's Austin and Triple H."

"Okay! Okay!" Regal said. "If you manage to beat Edge and Christian tonight, you can have Triple H and you can have Austin!"

"I knew you were a smart man, and I knew you'd see things our way." Undertaker said before he released regal and the brothers go to leave.

"By the way, tonight, your match against Edge and Christian is No DQ." regal quickly said, causing the brothers to halt and look at Regal.

"Well that suits us just fine." Bladewolf said and Undertaker nodded in agreement. "What do you think, Kane?"

Kane's response was to set Regal's desk on fire before the Brothers of Destruction take their leave.

Footage was shown from earlier in the day of Grand Master Sexay using Eddie Guerrero's European Championship as a mirror! As Latino Heat questioned what Sexay was doing, Sexay answered using hip-hop talk, which drew Guerrero's ire! That led to a European Title match between the two on SmackDown, which Latino Heat won after a roll-up - with his feet firmly planted on the ropes!

Back in the commissioner's office, Stone Cold and Triple H were yelling at Regal for giving the Brothers of Destruction a shot at them. Regal assured the Federation Champion and the Intercontinental Champion that the Brothers of Destruction would have no shot at beating Edge & Christian in a no-DQ match, and as the trio were about to talk strategy, Mr. McMahon told the men to take a break from their seriousness to watch some real entertainment involving him and his son, Shane. As Mr. McMahon walked away, Triple H told Regal that the Brothers of Destruction had better not beat E&C.

Lilian Garcia interviewed Edge & Christian about their Tag Team Championship match against the Brothers of Destruction on SmackDown. E&C said that they would emerge victorious, just like Rhyno had earlier in the night, and just like they had done so many times before in the face of adversity. Just like they sent Bulletproof onto the injured list, they'll do the same for the Brothers of Destruction. They told Lilian to bet on them, since they had a plan.

Mr. McMahon then headed to the ring, ready to deliver some entertainment involving his son, Shane. The Federation chairman recapped the recent events involving his son, and then Vince claimed that he never wanted to buy WCW anyway! Vince said that Shane mentioned on RAW that he wanted to say something to him, so he challenged Shane to come to the ring and tell him face-to-face!

The WCW chairman wasted no time in walking to the ring, and Vince asked him what the new was. Shane said he was actually there to apologize to his father - because had he known that WrestleMania would be so much fun, he would have kicked his ass a long time ago! Shane told his dad that things were heating up with WCW, and things were about to get very interesting. Shane said that Linda found Vince's divorce speech from RAW very interesting - and so did Linda's attorneys. Shane said he wanted to tell his father to have a nice day, to quote Mick Foley.

Before Shane could leave, Vince said he was glad that Linda and Linda's attorneys found what he said interesting. Vince said that he also found Shane's conversation with the Big Show on RAW to be very interesting. Vince reminded Shane that Big Show was under contract to the World Wrestling Federation, and said that if Shane wanted to talk to him, he would have to do it publicly. Vince then called out the Big Show.

The 7-footer strolled to the ring, and shook hands with Shane. Mr. McMahon didn't seem pleased, and then the Federation chairman asked Show what he was trying to do by asking Shane to watch his match on RAW - was he trying to impress Shane? Vince said that Show had unbelievable potential - but said that Show was the biggest disappointment in the history of this business! Shane defended the Show, and Vince hypothesized that Shane was trying to recruit Show to WCW!

He congratulated Shane on getting his first Federation recruit, and then said that maybe Shane would give him a pep talk. Vince then played footage from the year before of Shane burying the Show, leading up to their match at Judgment Day 2000! Vince brought up Shane's mocking catch phrase - "Which way did he go?" - and then asked Show which way he would go, to the World Wrestling Federation or to WCW? Shane tried to stop this, saying he wasn't trying to recruit the Show, but Vince told his son to shut up!

The Show then went to chokeslam Vince, but quickly took his hand off the Federation chairman's throat and instead chokeslammed Shane! As Shane lay on the mat, Mr. McMahon told Shane that at Backlash, Shane would meet Big Show in a Last Man Standing match!

In a Tag Team Table match, the Dudley Boyz took on Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho, in a match set up by Commissioner Regal to punish Y2J and the Wolverine. As the match began, Commissioner Regal and Kurt Angle came to the stage. Regal made two matches for Backlash - Jericho against Regal in a Dutchess of Queensby Rules match, and Benoit against Angle in a 30-minute Ultimate Submission Match! Regal said he would announce the rules for his match sometime in the future, and that the winner of the Benoit/Angle match would be the man to score the most pinfalls in the 30-minute time period! The match ended when Angle - who was watching the match from the stage - pushed Benoit off the top rope and through a table!

Backstage, Mr. McMahon wished Edge & Christian luck in their Tag Team Championship match against the Brothers of Destruction - but he said that with the match being no-DQ, they wouldn't need luck. Mr. McMahon then went into the locker room, where Stone Cold and Triple H were watching the footage of their brutal assault on the Hardy Boyz on RAW.

Jonathan Coachman interviewed Molly Holly about her Women's Championship match with Chyna. Molly said that she knew she was at a size disadvantage, but she said she would do her best - and maybe, just maybe, she would become the new Women's Champion!

Kevin Kelly was standing with the Brothers of Destruction, Kane's injured left arm having been taped up with bandages.

"Guys, two of you face Edge and Christian later on tonight for the Tag team Championships." Kevin said. "Which two will face them and how will the tag team title situation work if you win?"

"Why don't you shut up?" Undertaker replied. "You ask the most stupid ass question I've ever heard. What I want to know is who was it that told Triple H and Austin that beating up commentators and women made them badasses. Do you know? Well i'll tell you what, when we finish with Edge and Christian, we're going to take Triple H and Austin and we're going to show them what it's like to be a badass. Now Edge and Christian, I know that you are seven-time WWF Tag Team Champions. Hell, seven must be their number, because tonight for the seventh time, they're going to lose the WWF Tag Team titles. hell, them boys are gonna make a name for themselves, because tonight... we're gonna make them famous."

"And to answer your stupid question..." Bladewolf said as he held his bat in hand. "When we win, all three of us are recognised as Tag Team Champion so no one is left out. Edge and Christian are gonna know what happens when you mess with the Brothers of Destruction."

With that, the Brothers of Destruction walk away.

In a Women's Championship match, Chyna easily defeated Molly Holly following a powerbomb.

Kurt Angle came to the ring, and said that pinfalls sometimes leave him a little empty inside, since he likes to humiliate his opponent and to make him submit to his "Olympic wrath." He said that Backlash would be 30 minutes of torture for Chris Benoit, and that he would make the Wolverine squeal over and over again in the Ultimate Submission match.

Angle then called out three local wrestlers, who he said would face him in a five-minute submission exhibition. Kurt said the rules were simple - he would put himself in the middle of the ring, and each of the guys would get a chance to make him submit. Angle said he hoped Chris Benoit was watching, and to multiply what he saw by 50, since that's what would happen at Backlash.

The five-minute clock started, and Angle locked up with each man, dominating all three with various submission maneuvers. But with just a minute left on the clock, Benoit snuck up behind the Olympic hero and locked on the Crossface - and Angle tapped out! Benoit got a standing ovation from the crowd for forcing Angle to tap!

Next up was the Main Event for the WWF Tag Team titles!

In the arena, Edge and Christian's theme hits and out comes the 7-time WWF Tag Team Champions with their titles around their waists, accompanying them was their friend Rhyno, the new Hardcore Champion. The trio of Champions make their way down to the ring and slide in, posing with their titles before their theme dies down.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The pyro exploded and then Down with the Sickness by Disturbed plays before the Bladewolf and Kane walk out together and make their way down to the ring. Kane stays out at ringside as Bladewolf slides into the ring... AND IS ATTACKED RIGHT AWAY BY RHYNO, EDGE AND CHRISTIAN!

Bladewolf fights them off as the Undertaker's theme hits and the American badass drives down on his motorcycle, parks and then was quick to aid his little brother as the referee calls for the bell to begin the match.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Bladewolf and the Undertaker fight off the trio of men, Bladewolf quick to throw Rhyno out of the ring so he and Undertaker can focus on Edge and Christian. Undertaker fights Edge outside the ring as Bladewolf fights Christian inside the ring, and Kane takes Rhyno down with a clothesline but makes sure to use his right arm instead of the injured left arm.

In the ring, Bladewolf ducks a right from Christian, lifts him up and hits a Sidewalk slam in the middle of the ring. Both men get to their feet and Christian ducks a right hand from Bladewolf and lands a right of his own into the face of the Demon Wolf who responds by booting Christian in the chest, knocking him down. Bladewolf grabs Christian by the hair and rams his head into the top turnbuckle before he unleashes a fury of lefts and rights up and down Christian's body then lands a huge right uppercut that echos.

Bladewolf then irish whips Christian across the ring, runs and nails the turnbuckle clothesline. Bladewolf Irish whips Christian across the ring again and hits a turnbuckle clothesline then stomps away on Christian, forcing Christian to sit down on the mat, which allows Bladewolf to press his boot into Christian's head, causing Christian to yell out in pain as his legs writhed in pain. The referee gets involved but backs up when Bladewolf whirls on him with a glare.

Bladewolf runs at Christian who raises his feet in time to kick Bladewolf, then reverses their positions and lands several right hands to the forehead of the Bladewolf before he gets onto the second turnbuckle and starts hammering away on Bladewolf's face several times only for the Bladewolf to shove him off. Christian ws quick to recover and comes running right into a big boot to the face by the Bladewolf.

Edge tries to attack from the apron but Bladewolf clothesline shim off the apron. Bladewolf turns back to Christian, scoops him up before he runs... AND NAILS THE RUNNING POWERSLAM!

Bladewolf sees Edge climbing back onto the apron and walks over, pulls Edge into the ring, and gives him a boot to the face. Bladewolf goes to rebound off the ropes but Rhyno clobbers his back, causing Bladewolf to whirl on him and glare. Christian runs at Bladewolf who ducks and sends Christian over the top rope and falling to the floor hard, the Undertaker already there to deal with him.

Back in the ring, Bladewolf grabs Edge by the throat and goes to Chokeslam him... WHEN RHYNO HITS THE GORE! Rhyno rolls out the ring as Edge takes advantage and starts stomping away on the Demon Wolf before pulling him to his feet and gets him into the corner where Edge hammers away with lefts and rights on Bladewolf's forehead, causing Bladewolf to end up sitting on the muddle turnbuckle. Edge continues to stomp away on Bladewolf before he targets the legs, stomping on Bladewolf's right ankle.

Edge drags Bladewolf out of the corner and brings a knee down on Bladewolf's legs, then jumps up and brings both knees down into the stomach of the Demon Wolf, causing Bladewolf to clutch his stomach. Edge gets to a knee and hammers away on the forehead of the Bladewolf befor ehe hooks the leg.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Thr-!"

Bladewolf kicks out at two.

Edge continues his attack, hammering away on the Bladewolf, before he grabs Bladewolf's left arm and wrenches it, causing Bladewolf to grit his teeth in pain. Edge drives his knee into the arm several times before he breaks the hold. Edge pulls Bladewolf to his feet and goes for an Irish whip but Bladewolf reverses it and bends down for a back body drop only for Edge to kick him in the shoulders which makes Bladewolf straighten up with a glare on his face that made Edge go wide eyed before he was clotheslined by Bladewolf.

Bladewolf grabs Edge and gets him into the corner where he hammers away on Edge before wrapping his left arm around the top rope and pulls on it, causing Edge to yell in pain before Bladewolf lands a right punch to the shoulder joint, causing Edge to clutch his shoulder in pain.

Bladewolf grabs Edge, Irish whips him off the ropes and goes for a big boot but Edge ducks it, Bladewolf whirls around and runs at Edge who runs at him and both collide into each other with clotheslines, taking them both down. Bladewolf shakes his head as he starts crawling towards the Undertaker who has his arm strecthed out for the tag, as Christian does for Edge. As Bladewolf gets closer, Christian comes in but Bladewolf leaps... AND TAGS IN UNDERTAKER!

The American badass comes in and starts cleaning house as he takes on Edge and Christian. Undertaker irish whips Christian off the ropes and send shim over with a back body drop, then floors Edge with a big boot to the face. Undertaker assaults Christian in the corner with a fury of rights and lefts to the stomach and head of Christian then lands a hard head shot that drops Christian to the mat.

Undertaker turns, grabs Edge and launches him into the corner where he gives Edge the same treatment he just gave Christian, stomach and headshots with a fury of lefts and rights. Undertaker then Irish whips Edge across the ring, runs and hits a turnbuckle clothesline, then runs and gives a turnbuckle clothesline to Christian, then clotheslines Edge over the top rope, sending Edge to the floor.

Undertaker turns and grabs Christian by the throat, lifts him up for the Chokeslam... BUT RHYNO HITS HIM FROM BEHIND WITH A STEEL CHAIR! Rhyno rolls out the ring but comes right into a clothesline from Kane who had enough of Rhyno's interference. Christian crawls over and hooks the Undertaker's leg! ONE! TWO! THRE- UNDERTAKER KICKS OUT!

Outside the ring, Bladewolf is getting his second wind back and stands from the steel steps before he goes to get on the ring apron... WHEN HE IS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY TRIPLE H AND STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN! Bladewolf tries fighting back but the two-on-one assault was quick to take him down as triple H and Austin attack like a pack of hyenas. Kane comes to help his brother but Austin and Triple H then attack him.

Back in the ring, Edge and Christian set Undertaker up for the Con-Chair-to... BUT UNDERTAKER DUCKS IT! Undertaker clobbers Edge with a right hand, kicks Christian in the gut, sets him up on his shoulders... AND HITS THE LAST RIDE! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THREE! WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Rollin plays as Undertaker gets to his feet... BUT AUSTIN AND TRIPLE H ATTACK HIM FROM BEHIND! The Two-Man Power Trip stomp away on undertaker and keep beating him down relentlessly until Bladewolf and Kane slide into the ring with steel chairs in hand, causing Austin and Triple H to scatter and back up the ramp in retreat, but the damage had been done.

Austin's theme plays as Austin and Triple H smirk at the angry Brothers of Destruction and SmackDown goes off the air...

And that's it for this chapter everyone. I hope you all liked it and like the feud between the Brothers of Destruction and the Two-Man power Trip.

And Bladewolf's official theme now is Down with the Sickness, not Dead Silent anymore.
