1. Lance Storm (c) (Alliance) vs Edge (WWF) in a Singles match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
2. The Dudley Boyz and Test (Alliance) vs The APA and Spike Dudley w/Molly Holly (WWF) in a six-man tag team match.
3. X-Pac (c - Cruiserweight) (WWF) vs Tajiri (c - Light Heavyweight) (WWF) in a Singles match for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship and WWF Light Heavyweight Championship.
4. Chris Jericho (WWF) vs Rhyno w/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley (Alliance) in a Singles match.
5. Jeff Hardy (c) (WWF) vs Rob Van Damn (Alliance) in a ladder match for the WWF Hardcore Championship.
6. The Bladewolf w/Trish Stratus (WWF) vs Bulletproof (Alliance) in a two-on-one Handicap match.
7. The Undertaker and Kane w/Sera (c - WCW Tag Team) (WWF) vs Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Kanyon (c - WWF Tag Team) (Alliance) in a Steel Cage match for the WCW Tag Team Championship and WWF Tag Team Championship.
8. Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) (Alliance) vs Kurt Angle (WWF) in a Singles match for the WWF Championship.
9. Booker T w/Shane McMahon (c) (Alliance) vs The Rock (WWF) in a Singles match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
WWF SummerSlam was live at the Compaq Center at San Jose in San Jose, California. The event opened with Lance Storm defending the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Edge. Storm applied the Canadian Crab on Edge but Edge countered and applied the Canadian Crab on Storm. Storm threw Edge into the referee to escape the hold. Christian interfered, attempting a Spear on Storm but Storm avoided the move and Christian performed a Spear on Edge. Storm performed a Superkick on Christian and pinned Edge for a near-fall. Edge performed an Edgecution on Storm to win the title.
Next, The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) and Test faced The APA (Faarooq and Bradshaw) and Spike Dudley. Spike attempted a Dudley Dog on Test but Test countered by throwing Spike through a table. Bradshaw performed a Clothesline from Hell on Test but the referee checked on Spike. Shane McMahon hit Bradshaw with a steel chair, allowing Test to pin Bradshaw to win the match.
After that, WCW Cruiserweight Champion X-Pac faced WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Tajiri. Albert interfered, leading to Tajiri attacking Albert with red mist. X-Pac performed the X-Factor on Tajiri to win the match.
Next, Chris Jericho faced Rhyno. Jericho forced Rhyno to submit to the Walls of Jericho to win the match.
After that, Jeff Hardy defended the WWF Hardcore Championship against Rob Van Dam in a Ladder match. Hardy attempted to retrieve the title belt but Van Dam pushed the ladder, causing Hardy to fall into the ring ropes. Van Dam retrieved the title belt to win the title.
In the sixth match, WCW Tag Team Champions The Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker and Kane) faced WWF Tag Team Champions Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Kanyon in a Steel Cage match for both titles. Page attempted to escape the cage but Undertaker performed a Chokeslam on Page. Undertaker performed a Last Ride on Page to win the match.
In the seventh match, Stone Cold Steve Austin defended the WWF Championship against Kurt Angle. Austin performed a Stone Cold Stunner on Angle for a near-fall. Austin performed a second Stone Cold Stunner on Angle, causing Angle to roll out of the ring. Angle applied the Ankle Lock on Austin but Austin touched the ring ropes, forcing Angle to break the hold. Austin applied a Cobra Clutch on Angle but Angle ran forwards, causing Austin to roll out of the ring. Austin performed a third Stone Cold Stunner on Angle for a near-fall. Angle performed an Angle Slam on Austin for a near-fall. Austin attacked the referee and Angle performed a DDT on Austin for another near-fall. Austin attacked Angle with a low blow and performed a Stone Cold Stunner on another referee. Austin hit another referee with the title belt and ran into Angle, who performed an Angle Slam on Austin. Angle pinned Austin but another referee stopped the count to disqualify Austin. Angle won by disqualification but Austin retained the title. After the match, Angle applied the Ankle lock on the referee.
Next up was Bulletproof vs the Bladewolf.
In the arena, Bulletproof's theme hits to boos from the crowd and out comes the duo of the Jackal and Bloodwolf who start making their way to the ring.
"And here they come." JR said. "Bulletproof, the former 6-time WCW Tag Team Champions, the former 5-time WWF Tag Team Champions. And tonight, they face the Bladewolf in two-on-one action."
"that's because no one wanted to team with Bladewolf." Heyman said. "No one wants to take on a duo as dangerous as Bulletproof. You have to admit, even Bladewolf might be biting off more than he can chew when facing this duo by himself."
"Bladewolf's faced impossible odds before and overcame them." JR reminded. "I wouldn't count him out just yet. He's been in tougher situations before and walkes away the victor."
Heyman scoffed. "So you think. What i think, is that Bulletproof will finish the job they started at Invasion and put Bladewolf out of action for good!"
Bulletproof rolls into the ring and they take off their black leather jackets and Bulletproof shirts before tossing them aside as they wait for their opponent, pacing back and fourth as Bladewolf seems to be making them wait.
"Bladewolf is making them wait." JR said.
"That's not smart. it's just going to make Bulletproof angry and they'll be even more dangerous." Heyman said.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Dead Silent plays to a pop from the fans as smoke fills the stage, the lights dimming to a familiar sinister blood red and dark blue. Trish is standing on the stage in a dark robe, dressed in black leather pants and a black top, before the Bladewolf walks out and stands in front of her, facing the ring with a dark glare on his face.
Trish takes the robe off, then walks around him, running a hand seductively across his shoulders as she walks forward to the ring while singing.
"He is time... famine, war... pestilence you cannot endure..." Trish gets in the ring and seductively rubs her body against the ropes as she continues while getting more frantic by the second. "the end is here... the end is here! Fall and Pray! Fall and Pray! Fall and PRAY!"
The lights flash blood red repeatedly as Trish falls to her knees and moves out the way as Bladewolf appears in the ring, unleashing a primal yell as he stands under the flashing red lights while the songs repeats the 'fall and pray' part.
Bladewolf beats his chest in sync with the drum part of the theme and the song slowly ends as Trish slides between Bladewolf's legs and poses on her knees in front of him while her back is pressed against his knees.
The lights go to normal and Trish gets to her feet as Bladewolf takes off his coat followed by his short-sleeved shirt to reveal his ring gear underneath.
"Wow." JR said. "Bladewolf, bringing back an old entrance and music it seems."
"it's not gonna help him." Heyman scoffed. "Do Jackal and Bloodwolf look intimidated to you?"
Jackal and Bloodwolf get onto the ring apron and Jackal enters the ring while Bloodwolf remains on the ring apron.
"So it will be the Jackal starting it off for Bulletproof." JR said as the referee looks between both men and Trish gets out at ringside, before the referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"Here we go." Heyman said.
Jackal keeps back from Bladewolf who has his fists up ina boxer's stance as he corners him in the corner and throws a right but Jackal ducks it and reverses their positions and hammers away on Bladewolf only to be shoved back, then floored with a big boot, forcing jackal to back off from Bladewolf.
"Jackal, I think he was a little surprised at that." JR said. "Bladewolf with a big boot to the face of the the former WCW Tag Team Champion."
Jackal gets to his feet and he and Bladewolf circle each other before they lock up and have a test of strength with each other, but are clearly matched as one would force the other back a step, only to be forced back a step themselves. Bladewolf knees Jackal in the stomach, slips behind him, grabs him from behind and hits a German Suplex across the ring.
"German Suplex!" JR exclaimed. "And this is where Bladewolf gets going."
"C'mon, Bulletproof! Show him who's boss!" Heyman cheered on Bulletproof.
Jackal gets to his feet, one hand on the back of his neck as he glares at Bladewolf who glares back. Jackal and Bladewolf go for another lock up but Jackal fakes it and kicks Bladewolf in the ribs, then brings a forearm down across his back before tacjling him down and hammers away MMA style. Jackal was quick to back off, rebound off the ropes and floor Bladewolf with a dropkick to the chest, knocking the Wolf of Darkness and Destruction down. Jackal got to his feet, drags Bladewolf over and rebounds off the ropes and lands a running elbow drop.
"Running elbow drop there by Jackal on the heart of the Bladewolf." JR said.
"Does he even have a heart?" Heyman asked.
"I guess so." JR said.
Jackal crawls over and hooks the leg.
"One!"
"Two-!"
Bladewolf kicks out at two.
"And Bladewolf kicks out at two." JR said as Jackal shakes his head before he starts pummelling away on Bladewolf's forehead. "And Jackal now, pummelling Bladewolf with those right hands."
"And now the pace of the match shifts." Heyman said. "Bulletproof is firmly in control here. They are on their way to victory as long as they can keep the Bladewolf down and off his feet, make him get no chance to do anything."
Jackal continues to pummel Bldewolf with right hands until the referee warns him, causing him to get to his feet. Jackal then grabs Bladewolf's right ankle and brings his elbow down on it, the n he twists it, causing Bladewolf to yell in pain. Jackal continues to tist the ankle befor ehe gets to his feet, jumps and brings a knee down on it, further causing Bladewolf more pain. Jackal then grabs Bladewolf's right arm and drags him over to his corner, tagggging in Bloodwolf who goes to the top rope... AND COMES OFF WITH AN ELBOW DROP TO THE CHEST OF BLADEWOLF!
"Elbow drop from Bloodwolf!" JR exclaimed as Bloodwolf hooks the leg. "Will this be it?!"
"One!"
"Two!"
"it's over!" Heyman gloated
"Thre-!"
Bladewolf kicks out at two.
"No, Bladewolf says not right now." JR said with relief in his voice that Bladewolf kicked out.
Bloodwolf gets to his feet before he grabs Bladewolf's right arm and brings his knee down on it repeatedly, then brings an elbow down on it before he twists it, causing Bladewolf to yell in pain as Bloodwolf kept the hold locked on.
"Now there is their plan." Heyman laughed. "Take out the legs, you take out the power. take out the right arm, Bladewolf can't do the Chokeslam."
Bloodwolf continues to twists and tug on the arm harshly, causing Bladewolf more pain before Bloodwolf releases and backs off as he watches Bladewolf clutch his right arm. Bloodwolf walks over, pulls Bladewolf to his feet and Irish whips him off the ropes but Bladewolf suddenly reverses it.
"Reversed Irish whip." JR said.
Bloodwolf rebounds off the ropes, comes running but he ducks the right hand and dropkicks Bladewolf's right ankle, causing him to yell in pain and fall down, clutching his right leg.
"There! the leg has been weakened! Bulletproof now has their shooting point." Heyman said. "Bulletproof now has their target and they will aim and fire to do damage."
Bloodwolf crawls over and brings an elbow down on Bladewolf's ankle repeatedly before he gets to his feet, places Bladewolf's ankle on the bottom rope then jumps up and stomps on the ankle. Bloodwolf tags in jackal and the two pick Bladewolf up, lean him into the corner and start stomping away on him as the referee warns them but they ignore him. They irish whip Bladewolf off the ropes and take him down with a double clothesline.
"The Bladewolf is in big trouble here." JR said. "He has not managed to gain offence, but you can never count him out right away."
"I am." Heyman said.
Jackal grabs Bladewolf and pulls him to his feet before kicking him in the stomach... AND NAILS THE DDT! JACKAL HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT!
"And Bladewolf will not stay down!" Jr said.
"give it time, JR and he will remain down and out." Heyman said.
Jackal shoves Bladewolf out of the ring and Bloodwolf gets off the apron as Bladewolf stumbles to his feet only to be shoved into the barricade hard. Jackal rolls out the ring and walks over, and starts punching away on Bladewolf with a fury of lefts and rights, forcing Bladewolf to cover up as Jackal keeps up the attack. Jackal then grabs Bladewolf and goes for an Irish whip but Bladewolf suddenly reverses it... AND SENDS JACKAL INTO THE STEEL STEPS!
"Yes!" JR exclaimed. "Bladewolf got himself a chance!"
"Oh stop your cheerleading." Heyman rolled his eyes.
Bladewolf leans on the barricade before he limps towards Jackal only for Bloodwolf to come up from behind and kick the back of his right leg, tripping him onto his back.
"And Bloodwolf from behind." JR said.
Bloodwolf goes back to his corner as Jackal recovers from being thrown into the steel steps and walks over to Bladewolf, pulls him to his feet and tosses him into the ring. Jackal slides in after Bladewolf who stumbles to his feet but falls against the ropes due to his ankle. Jackal runs and drives his knee into the back of Bladewolf, then grabs him and hits a reverse DDT on the mat and hooks the leg.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Thre-!"
Badewolf kicks out again.
"Bladewolf kicks out." JR said. "Bladewolf refuses to quit, he refuses to go down. Not after what these two men did. Abducting Trish, attacking Bladewolf at Invasion.
"Hey, that was smart of them, they took out one of the WWF's most dangerous superstars for several weeks until this week." Heyman said. "How can you not say Bulletproof aren't smart or dangerous?"
"Oh, they are a formidable duo, I'll tell you that." JR says. "they are great in the ring, they work well together. They wouldn't be 5-time WWF Tag Team Champions if they didn't."
Jackal pulls Bladewolf to his feet and Irish whips him into the corner before he runs... RIGHT INTO A SPEAR!
"Spear!" JR exclaimed. "Bladewolf right out of the corner with a spear!"
Bladewolf hooks the leg! ONE! TWO! THRE-! JACKAL KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Bladewolf rolls off Jackal and fights to his feet as does Jackal. Jackal goes for a right but Bladewolf ducks it, grabs Jackal from behind and hits a German Suplex across the ring. Bladewolf imps to his feet, grabs Jackal and send shim into the corner then runs and hits the turnbuckle clothesline, scoops Jackal up... AND HITS SNAKE EYES! Bladewolf scoops Jackal up again... AND HITS THE RUNNING POWERSLAM!
"And Bladewolf is back in control!" JR said.
"Give me a break." Heyman rolled his eyes.
Bloodwolf comes in... RIGHT INTO A SPINEBUSTER!
"What a Spinebuster!" JR exclaimed.
Bladewolf leans on the ropes and looks back to see the two men getting to their feet. He grabs Jackal first... AND HITS THE DOOMSDAY SAITO SUPLEX! Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Blodowolf... AND HITS THE DOOMSDAY SAIT SUPLEX!
"Doomsday Saito on Bulletproof!" JR said.
"Come on guys!" Heyman shouted.
Bladewolf grabs both Jackal and Bloodwolf by their throats, looks between them before he lifts them up... AND PLANTS THEM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
"Double Chokeslam!" JR said.
Bladewolf pulls the straps of his attire to his waist and flips his hair back before he eye sboth men as they start stumbling to theur feet, woozy. Bladewolf kicks Bloodwolf down, scoops Jackal onto his right shoulder and holds him upside down in front of him in the middle of the ring... AND HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
"Tombstone Piledriver!" JR shouted.
Bladewolf crawls over and hooks the legs! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BLADEWOLF DEFEATS BULLETPROOF!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dead Silent plays as Bladewolf rolls off Jackal and lays on his back, exhausted. Trish slides into the ring to check on her boyfriend. "Here is your winner... THE BLADEWOLF!" Howard Finkel announced.
"Give credit where it's due." JR said. "Bulletproof fought hard, they did well in fighting the Bladewolf. But no matter what, they wer eunable to put away the Demon Wolf."
Bladewolf gets to his feet and pulls Trish into a passionate kiss that got cheers and wolf whistles from the fans before Bladewolf and Trish leave the ring as Bloodwolf checks on Jackal.
"I think the issues between Bulletproof and Bladewolf... are far from over." Heyman said.
Bldewolf looks back at the ring to see Bloodwolf glaring at him while helping Jackal up, causing him to smirk a bit before he and Trish go backstage...
Now because they are a trio, when Kane and Undertaker won the WWF Tag Team titles later that night, in this story, Bladewolf is recognised as Tag team champion since they are a trio and all are seen and recognised as WWF Tag team Champion due to the freebird rule.
