RAW is WAR: 27/8/2001

RAW is WAR was live at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. RAW began with WCW owner Shane McMahon headed to the ring. The Boy Wonder explained how he bought the WCW with his "hard-earned money" not for his amusement or that he was bored, but to buy the most dominant brand in sports-entertainment and to put his father out of business. Shane also said that one of WCW's greatest assets is Booker T, a champ Shane said fans can get behind, unlike the current WCW Champion - The Rock - which Shane added stands for everything he despises about the business. Shane then proclaimed that tonight, there would be a new WCW Champion - Rhyno - and if Rhyno did not beat him to it, Shane would be happy to lay the smack down on The Rock!

With that, the Great One interrupted Shane to provide a response. The Rock refuted claims that he doesn't care about the history of the WCW and recited the names of past WCW Champions, including the Nature Boy, Ric Flair! The Rock said that he also knew what the WCW has come down too in recent times - Diamond Dallas Page and Booker T - and compared the WCW Title to Shane's sister, everyone gets their turn! Rock added that he knew about his match with Rhyno, but that didn't stop him from walking down the ramp, getting inside the people's ring and challenging Shane to a WCW Title Match! In response, Shane told Rock to just bring it!

But once Rock entered the ring, Shane ran out and stood tentatively on the ring steps. But Rhyno attacked Rock from behind! The Rock fought back until he was leveled by a Rhyno gore!

In Stone Cold Steve Austin's locker room, the Rattlesnake complained of a shoulder injury suffered at the hands of Chris Jericho on SmackDown! Then Rob Van Dam and Raven entered to ask Austin to approve a Hardcore Title Match between the two. Austin asked how the two they could be so selfish considering his injury and how the Alliance is supposed to be a team. Raven and Van Dam offered to be Austin's partner, but the Rattlesnake said he'd take on Jericho and Angle on his own! But when proposed that Raven and Van Dam take on Jericho and Angle, Austin seemed to like the idea!

The Undertaker against Albert was RAW's first match. A physical contest was interrupted when X-Pac nailed Taker with a right hook. Taker went to attack X-Pac, but was met by Albert and a belt bash by X-Pac which nearly cost Taker the match. When Albert went for the Baldo Bomb, Taker blocked it, and hit him with a boot and subsequent chokeslam to win the match!

Hurricane Helms spoke with Michael Cole about his obsession with the Green Lantern. Helms corrected Cole by saying that Green Lantern is second behind Stone Cold Steve Austin, and proceeded to tell Cole stories on how the Lantern overcame evil, and that the Hurricane would overcome Matt Hardy and win the European Championship!

Next up was the Bladewolf vs the Jackal.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

Dead Silent plays to a pop from the fans as smoke fills the stage, the lights dimming to a familiar sinister blood red and dark blue. Trish is standing on the stage in a dark robe, dressed in black leather pants and a black top, before the Bladewolf walks out, carrying the WWF and WCW Tag Team Championships, and stands in front of her, facing the ring with a dark glare on his face.

Trish takes the robe off, then walks around him, running a hand seductively across his shoulders as she walks forward to the ring while singing.

"He is time... famine, war... pestilence you cannot endure..." Trish gets in the ring and seductively rubs her body against the ropes as she continues while getting more frantic by the second. "the end is here... the end is here! Fall and Pray! Fall and Pray! Fall and PRAY!"

The lights flash blood red repeatedly as Trish falls to her knees and moves out the way as Bladewolf appears in the ring, unleashing a primal yell as he stands under the flashing red lights while the songs repeats the 'fall and pray' part.

Bladewolf beats his chest in sync with the drum part of the theme and the song slowly ends as Trish slides between Bladewolf's legs and poses on her knees in front of him while her back is pressed against his knees.

The lights go to normal and Trish gets to her feet as Bladewolf takes off his coat followed by his short-sleeved shirt to reveal his ring gear underneath. Bladewolf hands his titles to Trish who gets out at ringside and stands there.

"The following contest is scheduled for one-fall! Introducing first, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, he is one half of the World Wrestling Federation and WCW Tag Team Champions... THE BLADEWOLF!" Lillian Garcia announced.

"Bladewolf's mind must be distracted." JR said. "His brother, Kane, has been hospitalized with an infected elbow that was injured at SummerSlam in the cage match against DDP and Kanyon. Bladewolf must be doing this match as tribute to his brother."

Bladewolf paces back and fourth in the ring.

Bulletproof's theme hits and out comes the Jackal by himself. "And his opponent, from Brooklyn, New York, representing Bulletproof... THE JACKAL!" Lillian Garcia announced.

"Jackal on his own this time, his partner Bloodwolf is not here due to his flight being delayed." JR said. "So Bladewolf and Jackal face the fact their usual partners aren't here tonight."

"Nothing Jackal can handle." Heyman waved off dismissively. "He can take on Bladewolf one-on-one."

Jackal walks down the ramp and rolls into the ring, throws his shirt and jacket off... AND GOES AT IT WITH BLADEWOLF!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

"And here we go! The fight is on!" Heyman shouted.

Bladewolf and Jackal have an exchange of fists with each other before Bladewolf knees Jackal in the ribs, then brings a forearm down on the back of the 11-time tag Team Champion. Bladewolf then flips Jackal over and locks in a headlock as Jackal tries fighting back.

"Bladewolf locking in the headlock there." JR said. "Bladewolf and Bulletproof had a great match at SummerSlam in my opinion. Bulletproof put up one heck fo a fight and dominated the Bladewolf mostly. Not that many can say they dominated Bladewolf for most of a match. Jackal and Bloodwol certaintly proved themselves to be a challenge for the Demon Wolf."

"Damn straight they did, JR." Heyman nodded.

Bladewolf brinsg his forearm down on the chest of Jackal repeatedly befor ehe gets Jackal to his feet and Jackal starts fighting back with lefts and rights into the stomach of Bladewolf befor ehe shoves Bladewolf off and the two give each other big boot at the same time.

"oh!" JR exclaimed.

"At the same time!" Heyman added.

"Bladewolf and Jackal with a big boot to each other at the same time, knocking both men down." JR said.

Bladewolf sits up to cheers from the fans as Jackal gets to a knee but Bladewolf clobbers him from behind and repeatedly brings his forearm down on Jackal's back, keeping the former WCW Tag team Champion down. Bladewolf then holds jackal still before driving his knee into Jackal's ribcage, causing Jackal to groan and cough in pain.

"Bladewolf with a knee to the ribs there." JR said as Bladewolf does it again, then again, then again. "And repeated knees to the ribcage." Bladewolf gets to his feet, kicks Jackal onto his back before he leaps and lands a leg drop. "And now Bladewolf! bringing the leg down across the throat of Jackal."

Bladewolf gets to a knee, grabs Jackal by the hair and starts hammering away on him with right hands to the forehead until the referee steps in but a glare from Bladewolf scares the referee back. Bladewolf continues to hammer away on Jackal's forehead before he stops and backs off as the referee checks on Bladewolf.

"i'll tell you, Paul." JR said. "I remember when that man, the Bladewolf came to the WWF four years ago at SummerSlam, and the dominance he's issued, the destruction he' carved. It's something no one will ever forget."

"I agree with you." Heyman said. "Regardless of what i think, I can admit Bladewolf is a great athlete, he is a great wrestler in that ring. He's not a 5-time WWF Champion for no reason."

Bladewolf walks over to Jackal, grabs him from behind and hits the German Suplex across the ring. Bladewolf walks over, grabs Jackal again and hits another German Suplex, then another, then another, then another. Bladewolf stops there and raises the right arm to cheers from the fans.

"And here comes a Chokeslam." JR said.

Jackal stumbles to his feet and turns around... INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Jackal up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! BLADEWOLF HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BLADEWOLF WINS!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Dead Silent plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet. "Here is your winner... THE BLADEWOLF!" Lillian announced as Trish enters the ring and hands the tag team titles to her boyfriend who raises them as the crowd continues to cheer for him. Bladewolf and Trish then leave the ring and head backstage...
