SmackDown: 28/2/2002

SmackDown was live at the Fleet Center in Boston, Massachusetts. SmackDown opened with the Hardy Boyz and Lita teaming up to take on the Dudley Boyz and Stacy Keibler, who limped her way to ringside with a brace on her right ankle. Before the match started, Jazz made her way out and got in the face of Lita. An injured Stacy stepped aside and "allowed" the Women's Champion to take her place in the six-person tag team match. The boys from Dudleyville took it to Jeff Hardy, cutting off the ring and putting the boots to the master of the Swanton. Jeff finally tagged in Matt, but the Dudley Boyz continued their assault on the older Hardy. D-Von climbed the ropes to set up the Dudleyz' "Wassup?!" spot, but Lita pushed him off and onto the canvas. Matt then hit Bubba Ray with a low blow and set him up for a dose of his own medicine! With Matt holding Bubba, Lita dove off the top turnbuckle head-first and hit her own version of the "Wassup?!" splash. Jazz ran into the ring and tried to take out Matt, but the older Hardy suplexed the Women's Champ and allowed Lita to take over on the beating. Lita went for the Twist of Fate, but, while the ref's back was turned, Stacy jumped into the ring and crushed Lita's face with a brace-loaded spinning-heel kick! This allowed Jazz to nail a Fisherman's Suplex on Lita to give her team the win!

Backstage, Undertaker was in his locker room watching a tape of his brutal beating of Arn Anderson from RAW when Federation co-owner Ric Flair walked in. Flair called Taker a "cold-blooded bastard", and told him that he was furious about the beating of his best friend. The Nature Boy turned off the television, took out the videotape, threw it against the wall and told the Dead Man that he would get his answer later in the night.

After commercial, Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was still limping from the nWo's attack on him on RAW, walked to the ring carrying a steel chair. Before the Rattlesnake was able to say a word, the nWo's music hit as the trio made their way to the stage. Stone Cold said that the first S.O.B. that comes to the ring would get his ass handed to him. Hollywood Hulk Hogan said that after what Scott Hall did to his knee on RAW, Stone Cold was in no position to make any threats. Hogan said that Austin was about in as good of shape as The Rock. Hogan said that the Great One wasn't at SmackDown!, so Hogan was going to use this time to produce a video package tribute to the greatest ever – Hollywood Hulk Hogan. With that said, Hogan left the stage.

Scott Hall took the mic and told the Rattlesnake that they took The Rock and Stone Cold out with relatvie ease. Hall then played video footage of the trio's concrete-block attack on Austin from RAW. Hall said that was just the beginning of the Rattlesnake being treated like an animal.

He said at WrestleMania X8, Austin would go down and out. Kevin Nash asked Hall if they should go down to the ring and take out Stone Cold right then, but Austin interrupted them and said that he was going to walk up to them and take the duo out himself. Stone Cold walked halfway up the ramp and pulled a strange device out from his jacket. Austin aimed the contraption and fired a huge net at Nash, which engulfed the nWo giant! Hall tried to help Nash out, but Stone Cold started attacking the Bad Guy! Nash finally fought his way out of the net as Hall fended off Austin, and the duo fled the stage into the back! The Rattlesnake slowly made his way back to ringside before celebrating with a couple brews.

Intercontinental Champion William Regal battled Big Show in a non-title match. Show had total control of the match, treating the Englishman like a rag doll. However, as Show gave the sign for his chokeslam, Regal, using his "power of the punch", pulled out his brass knuckles and blasted the behemoth right in the jaw! The force knocked out Show, but the huge man bounced off the ropes and fell on Regal! The Englishman couldn't kick out from the dead weight of the giant, so Big Show picked up the non-title victory!

Trish Stratus was shown walking backstage when she came across Kevin Nash. " Hey, Trish. How you doing, baby?"

Trish sighed and rolled her eyes in annoyance. "I was fine until you showed up."

Nash just chuckled. "Now don't be like that. I wasn't stalking you, I just wanted to say hi but your boyfriend misunderstood my actions."

Trish scoffed. "I find that hard to believe since you were coming very close to doing more than say hi."

"But I wasn't. Honest to God." Nash said.

"Whatever, I need to go." Trish says as she goes to walk past him but Nash puts a hand on her shoulder, stopping her.

"Wait wait wait, I just need to ask you something." He said.

Trish looks at where his hand is. "Get your hand off me, Kevin. I need to get ready for Bladewolfs match and you're wasting my time."

"I just need to know if you're doing anything tonight? Maybe I can take you somewhere classy for a lady like you." nash suggested with a grin.

Trish scoffed. "Sorry, but I already made plans with Bladewolf tonight and he knows how to treat me right. He sees me for me, you just see women for their bodies. Now I gotta go."

She goes to walk past him but Nash steps in front of her. "Come on, babe. I bet your boytoy doesn't come near to what I can do for you."

Trish snorted. "Actually, he's more of a man than you will be, especially down there."

Nash, irritated, grabs her face making her gasp in pain. "Pretty mouthy for a lady who doesn't know her place."

Suddenly a bat leans against his cheek.

"You plan on using them hands ever again. You'd best not go touchin' that what ain't yours." The camera pans to reveal bladewolf with his baseball bat in hand.

Nash smirks and backs off. "Alright, I'm out. She's all yours man. But remember this, this ain't over."

Bladewolf shakes his head as he watches Nash leave. "No, we're just getting started."

Stephanie McMahon and Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho were in their locker room backstage. Stephanie told Y2J that he would have to team up with Kurt Angle on SmackDown! and that the two of them would get along. Stephanie asked Jericho if he got her her hand lotion, but as he handed it to her, she screamed at him for buying the wrong brand! She told him to go buy her the correct lotion right away, but Jericho said he would do it after his tag match on SmackDown! Stephanie said that he needed her for his big match against Triple H at WrestleMania X8 and he needed to keep her happy, so she demanded Y2J to go buy her the lotion right then!

Hardcore Champion Maven defended his championship for the first time as he faced Goldust. The veteran took it to the rookie, as Goldust started things off hardcore right away when he bashed Maven's skull with a trashcan. The Golden One continued his assault on Maven when he went for a fire extinguisher under the ring.

Goldust threw the weapon into the ring, but before he could use the extinguisher, Maven pulled the trigger, which sent the cold cloud of smoke into the Bizarre One's face, allowing the Tough Enough winner to cover a dazed Goldust for the win!

After the match, Undertaker made his way to ringside on his motorcycle. With Maven still struggling to get to his feet in the ring, the Dead Man entered the squared circle and began beating on the rookie. He continued his attack until Al Snow rushed to the ring and blindsided Taker! Snow began to punch out the Dead Man and eventually hit a superkick to take Taker out of the ring. Snow followed him to the outside and picked up a steel chair to take out the Dead Man, but Taker caught Snow and hit a chokeslam on the Tough Enough trainer on the concrete floor. Flair then ran out to ringside and took the lead pipe from Taker's motorcycle. The Nature Boy jumped into the ring and started beating the hell out of the Dead Man, thus getting some retribution back for his friend Arn Anderson, as well as Maven and Snow. With Taker writhing in pain, Flair picked up the mic and said that he still refused to have a match with the Dead Man at WrestleMania X8.

After the barroom brawl on RAW, Bradshaw and Faarooq opted to use their guaranteed WrestleMania tag team title shot on SmackDown! against Billy and Chuck.

Faarooq and Bradshaw had full control of the match early, obviously wanting revenge on the duo after their bar-room brawl the foursome had on RAW. With Billy and Bradshaw going at it on the outside, Faarooq hit a spinebuster on Chuck and began berating him when Billy re-entered the ring and hit a Fame-Asser on Faarooq! Billy then placed Chuck on top of the former Florida State star for the 1-2-3 win!

Backstage, a medic was checking on Maven when Goldust came into the room to ask how he was doing. The Golden One then attacked the rookie and covered him for the win, thus becoming the new Hardcore Champion, courtesy of the 24/7 rule!

In another backstage area, Tajiri was talking on the phone with the Japanese commercial's producer before Booker T ripped the phone out of his hand and told the producer that after his match, he was going to allow the producer to meet the new spokesman for his Japanese shampoo.

Next, Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler introduced the video package that Hollywood Hulk Hogan produced by himself, about himself.

Next up was the Bladewolf vs Scotty 2 Hotty.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

Dead Silent plays to a pop from the fans as smoke fills the stage, the lights dimming to a familiar sinister blood red and dark blue. Trish is standong on the stage in a dark robe, dressed in leather as usual, before the Bladewolf walks out and stands in front of her, facing the ring with a dark glare on his face.

Trish walks around him, running a hand seductively across his shoulders as she walks forward to the ring while singing.

"He is time... famine, war... pestilence you cannot endure..." Trish gets in the ring and seductively rubs her body against the ropes as she continues while egtting more frantic by the second. "the end is here... the end is here! Fall and Pray! Fall and Pray! Fall and PRAY!"

The lights flash blood red repeatedly as Trish falls to her knees and moves out the way as Bladewolf appears in the ring, unleashing a primal yell as he stands under the flashing red lights while the songs repeats the 'fall and pray' part.

Bladewolf beats his chest in sync with the drum part of the theme and the song slowly ends as Trish slides between Bladewolf's legs and poses on her knees in front of him while her back is pressed against his knees.

The lights go to normal and Trish gets to her feet as Bladewolf takes off his coat followed by his short-sleeved shirt just as Scotty 2 Hotty's theme hits and out he comes, making his way down the ramp towards the ring.

Hotty enters the ring and his theme dies down as the referee calls for the bell.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Scotty runs at Bladewolf but gets floored with a clothesline. Bladewolf grabs Scotty from behind and hits a German Suplex across the ring, then hits another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another.

Bladewolf grabs Scotty, lifts him onto his shoulders... AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BLADEWOLF WINS!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Dead Silent plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet when he senses someone behind him and turns around... INTO A CHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL FROM KEVIN NASH! Nash glares down at Bladewolf before he brings the chair down on Bladewolf multiple times as Trish screams from ringside.

Nash keeps up his attack until Bladewolf is not moving. Nash drops the chair, grabs Bladewolf, lifts him up... AND HITS THE JACKKNIFE POWERBOMB ON THE CHAIR! Bladewolf yelled in pain as Nash stomps away on him, picks up the chair again... AND BRINGS IT DOWN ON BLADEWOLF'S SKULL!

Nash yells down at Bladewolf, raises the chair... AND DRIVES IT INTO BLADEWOLF'S KULL! BLADEWOLF HAS BEEN BUSTED OPEN! BLEEDING IS BLEEDING!

Bladewolf is laying limp in the ring, not moving a single muscle. Nash smirks at Trish and drops the chair before he gets out the ring and Trish runs to the back with Nash running after her.

the cameraman follows to see trish jumping into her car, starting it up and drivinga way as Nash watches with a smirk before walking away.

Back in the ring, Bladewolf is still out in the middle of the ring in a puddle of his own blood.

Suddenly the Druids theme is heard and the lights dim to the sinister blood red and dark blue as the old druids of the Undertaker come out and make their way down to the ring where they carefully drag Bladewolf out and carry him away...
