Naruto stood there watching as Kirito and Heathcliff stood opposite each other and hummed "Wait" he said before clicking on Kirito's profile and healing him to full and then the same with Heathcliff's "Now it's fair" Naruto said as he sat down, and watched the two waiting for a signal "Go" he said and then Kirito shot off from his spot.
Naruto sighed as he could feel everyone's eyes on him "I tried logging everyone out after the first year being here, if it worked do you think we'd still be here?" Naruto asked as he heard Klein speak up.
"That is true, you would have" he said and sighed as he sat beside Naruto.
"In fact, I've been trying to watch everyone using my admin powers, sadly I can only watch those on the same floor as me and well" Naruto trailed off as they picked up.
"You were always protecting us, although during boss fights you couldn't?" Naruto heard Agil ask as he nodded with a slight cringe.
"I'm sorry" he said bowing deeply to them all "I've memorized the names of everyone we've lost and I plan to have them immortalized in the form of a memorial, like what the British did for their soliders in wars" Naruto said as he looked away "I'm Naruto Uzumaki and well, if you hadn't guessed I'm the Heir of Uzu industries, I will contact my parents as soon as we get out and hopefully I can ask them to get a statue or something built in honor of those who we lost and have their usernames on it" Naruto said as everyone's eyes widened.
"Why do that?" one of the players asked as Naruto sighed.
"Because, you all helped defeat this game and because everyone here has in some way helped me by not taking the easy eay out" Naruto said as he bowed again deeply "I know my apologies and stuff don't mean much, after all I've known Kiyaba my whole life and knew it was his dream to have a Ruby castle I just never expected him to build it like this" Naruto said before he felt someone patting his back.
He looked up to see the Schmitt, sub leader of the Divine Dragon Alliance "Don't worry kid, we won't kill you" he said with a smile as Naruto sighed.
"Thank you" Naruto said slowly standing up and heard Kirito shouting Asuna's name, he spun around and his eyes widened seeing Kiyaba stabbing her "Dammit" he whispered and opened his menu and Asuna's playing info and started to force heal her, after a while Kiyaba let her off the blade and Naruto ran to her side and pulled her away to heal her more as he cried a little "We promised to sneak out for our 18th Asuna, don't die on me big sis" he whispered spamming the heal button he continued this for 5 minutes until he heard fanfare and looked up to see with no HP standing over Kiyaba with the same amount as Naruto froze.
"N-Naruto?" Klein said as he saw Naruto froze and patted his shoulder, what made him snap out of his state was the loss of weight on his legs as he looked down to see Asuna looking at him with a teary smile her wound from Kiyaba's blade obviously not healed properly as Naruto was only refilling her HP and not removing status effects, his eyes teared up.
"You better come back" he whispered as she nodded and he started to cry, Klein seeing this cuddled the boy as did Agil as all the other plays finally logged out, Naruto heard a ding and looked up to see a message from Lisbeth and Kirito.
"See you in the real world Naru" was the message from Rika and the message from Kirito hurt him more "I'll see you soon Naruto" Naruto swiped his hand down and looked at the alive players and his eyes widened with a smile "They're alive" he said as he logged out quickly, when he woke up, he was in a hospital room with tears in his eyes as he looked around "Hello?" he whispered hoarsly and lifted his hand with a chuckle "That's right, without the proper nutrients this happens, we become raisins" Naruto whispers as he heard the door open fast and turned to see his mom "Mom?" he whispered and her eyes widened.
"Naru, my sweet baby boy" she whispered as she cuddled into him "When I get my hands on Kiyaba I'm gonna-" she was cut off by the light chuckling he made.
"Kiyaba died mom, my friend finished him off and finally finished the game" Naruto said as Kushina smiled when she felt his arms wrap around her lightly "Mom, is Asuna still alive?" he asked as Kushina nodded and he smiled "Thank god" he whispered tiredly "I'm gonna sleep a little then can we go get some food while I tell you the promises I made with some amazing friends in there?" he asked as he felt her nod again, he smiled and slowly fell asleep as she lay him on the bed again, he curled up and whispered Rika before falling asleep.
-2 months later January 19th 2025-
Naruto was stood outside of a classroom wearing a school uniform as he sighed "Explain again what this is for mom?" Naruto asked looking to his mom as she sighed.
"It's for you to learn better, there are also people from SAO in here as well" she said as Naruto laughed.
"So they made a school for all the survivors under 18 huh?" Naruto asked getting a nod "I still don't see why I need to go" Naruto said.
"Rika-" he heard his father say as his eyes widened.
"E-Eh?!" Naruto exclaimed.
"As I was saying Naruto, Rika's here" Minato said lightly "As well as the one you named Kirito, his name is Kazuto Kirigaya apparently" Minato said as Naruto thought of the name.
"Your friends were his parents? Or family?" he asked as Minato laughed.
"Still a little genius even after 2 years being in a game?" Minato asked as Naruto sighed "Yes, they were his parents" Minato said as Naruto chuckled and opened the door slowly.
"I'll see you old people after school" Naruto said as he walked in and saw the teacher look at him "Ah right, I recently transferred" Naruto said as he bowed "Nice to meet ya, Naruto Uzumaki at your service" Naruto said as he heard the teacher sigh.
"So you finally joined us Uzumaki?" the teacher asked as Naruto looked to him and hummed.
"Oh right, yeah sure call me by my Surname" Naruto said as he sighed "I'd rather that, then my online name" Naruto said with a shrug "So, any questions?" Naruto asked as he looked to the class.
Some hands instantly went up and he sighed, his eyes caught a brown haired girls and his eyes widened slightly as he pointed to her with a soft smile "Rika" he said softly and she blushed with a small smile.
"When were you coming to meet us?" She asked as he sighed, he could see the hidden meaning as she was more so talking about herself.
"I was busy, my mom and dad wanted to make sure I remembered a lot of things about the company and to top it off I had to go into press conferences to clarify I was okay, as well as setting up a lot of things in memory of the players we lost" Naruto said as he scratched his head "The build is being made in Tokyo outside of our main branch" Naruto said as he looked around the class and saw most of the hands lowered as he nodded "Anything that isn't related to VRMMO?" Naruto asked as all the hands lowered "Right, yes I plan to go back to doing VRMMO at some point but it will have to wait, I have people who I still need to get out of the virtual world" Naruto said surprising them.
"Who? Everyone's out" a black haired girl asked as he sighed.
"Not everyone, it seems that a couple patients in the SAO incident has been trapped for a little longer, so I plan to find a way to get them out" Naruto said as he bowed "That will be enough questions" Naruto said as he walked to the open seat and sat down, he realized it was just behind Rika and smiled softly.
-After school-
Naruto was walking out of school holding the hand of one Rika Shinozaki as they walked "I missed you" Naruto whispered as he heard her giggle.
"2 months and you miss me already Naru?" Rika asked teasingly as he pouts.
"Well yeah, we spent almost every day together in Aincrad." Naruto said as they walked out of the school and Naruto sighed "And that is our ride" Naruto said with a sigh seeing a 4 door car waiting right outsided with the registration plate of U2U, Naruto knocked on the window lightly and it slowly moved down "Where are you taking us?" he asked as the driver looked out of the window.
"To home Master Naruto" the driver said as he thought.
"Take us as close as you can to Dicey café" Naruto said as he opened to door for Rika "I need to pay Andrew a visit" Naruto said as he got in.
After 2 minutes of driving the driver pulled up along a pathway that went into the backstreet, Naruto got out with Rika following "Tell mom I'll get the bus home" he said as he started to walk off as he heard the car pull away.
"Fancy car" he heard Rika say as he groaned a little.
"Too fancy for my liking" Naruto said as Rika giggled.
"Aww Naru missed our house on floor 39 huh?" she asked as he nodded.
"Yeah, it was small and quiet and had a wonderful garden, I'm not one for huge houses" Naruto said as they reached a door with the sigh Dicey café, Rika pushed it open as the two walked in and Naruto pressed the bell on the counter.
"I'm coming!" Came a voice from the back, Naruto smiled and out walked a tall African American "Ah, Mr Landlord" the man said.
"Andrew" Naruto said as he sat on a stool with Rika sat next to him "I'd like you to officially meet Rika Shinozaki" Naruto said as Andrew looked to her.
"Lisbeth" Andrew said as Naruto chuckled and saw Rika's eyes narrow a little.
"Agil" she said as he nodded "Nice to know your name, although I'm curious why you called Naru Mr Landlord?" she asked as Andrew laughed a little.
"That's because he owns this building his parents handed him the rights to it and he paid off a years worth of rent on this place" Andrew said as Naruto nodded.
"Can I have a coffee while we talk about the rumor you told Mr Broody?" Naruto asked as Andrew nodded and turned to the coffee machine and started to make a coffee.
"You want one Rika?" Andrew asked.
"Oh uh just a milkshake if you have them" Rika said as Andrew nodded and made them their orders, while Naruto was sipping his coffee he saw Andrew grab out his laptop and open the photos before turning it to Naruto, Naruto looked at the photos and his eyes widened at the images.
"Asuna" he said softly and then looked to Agil "Where?" Naruto asked simply as Andrew sighed.
"ALO new game on the Amusphere" Andrew said as Naruto hummed and he tch'd.
"Of course he's involved" Naruto said and pulled out his phone calling his mom, when she picked up he said simply "Mom, could you send me the data we've got for ALpheim Online and anything you can about the game?" he said and nodded "Not the rights I feel like this game is gonna go to crap when the news hear about it" Naruto said with a shrug "Alright, just send it to my email and I'll look at them when I get home" Naruto said and nodded "I'm gonna drop Rika off and meet her parents before walking home" Naruto said.
"What was that about?" Rika asked as he smiled.
"I'm gonna help Mr Broody from the real world, encode somethings that not even Sugou can see and then I'm going to let it be, something tells me the games gonna give VRMMO's bad rep" Naruto said as Rika nodded.
"I trust your instinct, you predicted when the game would end" Rika said as he chuckled and sat back at the counter.
"Anything else you can tell me about Andrew?" Naruto asked as he shook his head.
"Other than the fact I gave Kirito my copy of ALO? Nothing" Andrew said as Naruto sighed and handed him some money.
"Get yourself a new copy, also tell Trish I said hi when you get the chance" Naruto said as he and Rika stood up and Naruto smiled "I best get you home and meet your parents huh?" Naruto asked as she blushed with a small pout before nodding.
The two left the café and Naruto held Rika's hand as they walked to the bus stop "It's cold" Rika whined softly as he chuckled and took off his scarf and handed her it.
"It's pretty warm with that on" he said while waiting, Rika smiled softly and put on the scarf when they heard the bus pull up, the two got on and paid for tickets and sat next to each other "I plan on getting my license soon" Naruto said as Rika looked to him.
"Bike or car?" Rika asked as he shrugged.
"Dunno, need to figure that out, maybe a bike because it has more access to different areas" he said as she nodded and rested her head on his shoulder, he smiled enjoying the peace "So, what do you wanna do for our first date outside of online?" Naruto asked as she looked to him.
"Maybe this could be classed as our first date?" Rika asked as he sighed.
"We barely talked and I'd rather use dates to get to know you more, even if we know a lot from our time in SAO" Naruto said as Rika smiled softly and cuddled his arm.
"Thank you" she whispered as he smiled.
"For what?" he asked as she looked to him.
"Asuna told me when we were in SAO how you two were in a marriage contract, thank you for choosing me over a beauty like Asuna" Rika said as he chuckled softly at her.
"That contract my parents were working to get rid of because they knew me and Asuna only saw each other as siblings" Naruto said and smiled "When I told them about you once I got out of SAO they had enough to get rid of the contract, sadly Asuna's parents always wanted her to marry someone high-up in business so they choose Sugou I'm guessing and he's a total creep, even without the contract would have tried something with Asuna" Naruto said with a sigh "He is the one who designed ALO and if my gut feeling is right it uses the Cardinal system" Naruto said with a small hum.
"Like Aincrad?" Rika asked as he chuckled.
"Exactly like Aincrad, so it's easy for me to work around the system having done it before and I believe I can even return Heathcliff's Admin back to level 9 and knowing Kiyaba he used his death to leave a small digital imprint on Kirito's nervegear allowing him to show up once to give Kiyaba's last actual present" Naruto said with his eyes closed and Rika looked confused.
"Last present?" she asked as Naruto smiled.
"Something like a world seed maybe? A bunch of 1's and 0's filled with the Cardinal system that can be made into other games like ALO or a remake of SAO or maybe something else entirely as long as it's within parameters of the Cardinal system they'll run perfectly" Naruto said as Rika nodded.
"Right" she said as he sighed.
"Anyways, enough about all that crap, how about we talk about me meeting your parents in 5 or so minutes" Naruto said shocking Rika as she looked outside.
"Oh crap, you aren't nervous?" Rika asked as he chuckled.
"Actually, I am, quite a lot but I believe that I shouldn't worry too much, after all I'm going to meet them along side you" Naruto said as Rika nodded, soon the bus stopped and the two got out, Rika lead Naruto to her house and once the reached it she opened the door dragging him inside as she shouted.
"Mom! Dad! I brought a guest for you to meet!" She shouted into the house as two people came out from the living room, one was a woman who looked like an older version of Rika and the other was a male who had black hair and grey eyes.
"Ah, so this must me Naruto" the man said with a smirk "Name's Mahitotsu, my parents named me after the-" he was interrupted by Naruto who chuckled.
"The Shinto god of Forge" Naruto said with a smile "Nice to meet you sir" Naruto said holding out his hand as Mahitotsu shook his hand.
"It's nice to meet the one who stole my princess' heart" Mahitotsu said as Naruto chuckled.
"It's more like she stole my heart and I simply stole hers back" Naruto said before turning to Rika's mother "It's nice to meet you as well" he said as her mother smiled.
"My name is Chiyo" she said as Naruto smiled and shook her hand.
"Nice to meet you Chiyo" he said softly "So, you took inspiration to be a Blacksmith in SAO from your dad huh Rika?" Naruto asked with a smirk surprising her parents.
"Rika was a blacksmith?" Her father said getting a nod from Naruto.
"And a damn good one at that, she crafted my final sword and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have ever gotten it" Naruto said with a smile "She was also a darn good fighter as well" he said slowly embarrassing Rika as he smiled softly "But my favorite part of knowing her was when she asked me to marry her in the game, I didn't even get the chance to ask her as she ended up shouting it one day when I walked into her shop" Naruto said with a smirk as she pouted.
"Well you confessed your feelings first even though I wanted to so I decided to ask you to marry me before you could" she mumbled as her parents laughed a little.
"Ah they remind me so much of us dear" they heard Chiyo say as Naruto raised a brow.
"How so?" Naruto asked as she smiled.
"Well, before we started dating Mahi asked me out first when I was going to, so as revenge I proposed first and we've been married since before Rika was born" Chiyo finished as Naruto smiled and checked the time before sighing.
"Sorry to cut this meeting short but I have to go, I have to check something my mom sent me" Naruto said as he kissed Rika's head before heading to the door "Again it was nice meeting you both" Naruto said with a smile as he left.
"Rika, you sure did catch yourself a good one" Chiyo said as Rika turned to her blushing and saw her dad nodding.
"He's going to go places in the future" Mahitotsu said as Chiyo nodded "And if he's as serious as he seems then I approve of him" Mahitotsu said as he turned around and Chiyo giggled at their daughter's whine.
"I also approve of him, he seems very polite" Chiyo said as Rika smiled with a giggle.
"Once he gets to know you properly he's very sarcastic, in fact the only reason he was polite is because he was nervous to meet you both" Rika said as she took her shoes off and walked to the stairs "I'm sure over time you'll see the true side of him" Rika said with a giggle as she walked up the stairs and pulled out her phone messaging Naruto "They approved of us dating" the message said as she sent it and awaited the response which was "My parents approved after I told them stories of us in SAO" and she smiled putting her phone away and heading to her room.
-With Naruto-
Naruto was lightly jogging through the streets after putting his phone away with a smile on his face, he was slowly following what the GPS said on his phone through bluetooth earbuds and kept jogging watching out for people, after 20 minutes of jogging he arrived outside of a large estate as he sighed opening the smaller gate "Home sweet home" he whispered walking up to the house with a small pant "I'm glad I'm working out again and that my Uzumaki stamina hasn't taken a hit" he whispered as he reached the door and slowly opened it "Am home!" he shouted, he took his shoes off and smiled at hearing soft yipping "Hey buddy" he said turning to a fox who was stood there with a proud look "Where's mom and dad?" he said as the fox turned around and lead him to the living room, as soon as he entered the fox scurried in and he smiled "Hey mom, hey dad" he said.
"Hey darling, how was meeting Rika's parents?" Kushina asked as he smiled.
"They approve of me and her dating" he said with a smile as she smiled at him.
"I already guessed that" he heard Minato say as he turned to him and nodded "Anyways, me and your mom have been busy getting you what we emailed you" Minato said as he smiled.
"Thanks dad" he said and chuckled "I have a bad feeling about Sugou's game" Naruto said as Minato nodded.
"Rumor has it, someone is locked up in cages and such" Kushina said as Naruto nodded.
"Asuna" he said simply and their eyes widened.
"Sugou trapped her there after her escape from SAO?" Minato asked as Naruto shrugged.
"I believe so" Naruto said "I need to look into it though because it could be her unconciousness is there and she can't logout without an admin forcing her out" Naruto said with a sigh "That's why I needed that stuff and if it's the same system as SAO I can just log in and have a look into everything that's happening, after all I have a higher admin level than the creator of SAO" Naruto said with a smirk.
"Don't take too long Naruto" Kushina said as he nodded "Dinner will be ready soon" Kushina finished as he smiled.
"Got it" he said and ran to his room followed by Kurama, once inside he turned on his PC and looked at the email his mom sent him, he opened it up and smirked "She got everything, even a backdoor entrance into the system" he said with a shake of his head as he quickly logged into the system and looked through everything, after an hour of looking his found Kirito's player file and put a note in his inventory that said "Asuna's at the tree under a player name of Titania I've tried to log her out but it needs to be done from an in game console, good luck- N" before he looked at the ways to activating the World Tree event and sighed "Kurama buddy, Sugou has went and given the players an impossible event" Naruto mumbled seeing only the trigger for the World Tree event and no ending as he sighed "Seems like, we're going to make it possible" he was about to start typing when he heard.
"Naruto! Food's ready!" he sighed softly and stood up as he walked to the door of his room and opened it, as soon as he didn Kurama hopped down the stairs with Naruto following him as they walked to the table.
"What we having?" Naruto asked as his mom looked to him.
"We're having Chicken, mash, veg and gravy" Kushina said as he nodded and sat down grabbing his fork and smiled as he threw Kurama a small amount of chicken.
"Wait till I'm done because mom always gives me extra portions okay bud?" in reply the fox yipped and sat next to him as he started to eat, he heard his mom clear her throat.
"What did you find out?" Kushina asked as he looked to her and chuckles.
"Asuna's there, under the Username Titania, Fairy Queen, meaning Sugou is Orberon the Fairy King" Naruto said as he took another bit of his food "Kirito's in and I've told him, she's at the top of the World Tree, Yggdrasil, it follows Norse Mythology quite a lot as well" Naruto said as he hummed "Oh right, Sugou built in a Event to climb Yggdrasil but never built the event end, he made an impossible event to keep people on the game to allow him time to do whatever he is doing, I checked the World Tree and there is no Throne room like the events states, it's a huge vault type thing" Naruto said as he shrugged "Apart from that, I'm still looking into it, it's run off of the Cardinal system so Kirito has a little bug in the system as a companion, she was supposed to detect players and start a quest in the forest of floor 22 but she ended up bugged" Naruto said "Became an immortal object and well Kirito and Asuna unknowingly adopted her" Naruto said "Or so Asuna says" Naruto finished before sighing and continued to eat in silence until he was full "Thanks for the food" Naruto said as he stood up with his plate.
"Check if they have camera's in the lab place" Minato said as Naruto's eyes widened.
"That's something I didn't think of" he whispered as Minato laughes "Steal the footage and post it online while blocking my IP and using an alt account for my alt account" he whispered as he walked to Kurama's food bowl and put a bit of chicken in as that was all he has left and then washed his plate before going to his room, once he reached it he heard his phone ringing and answered it putting it on speaker and then on a stand next to his PC as he looked for Camera access "Hello?" he said and heard Rika reply.
"Hey Naru, how are you doing?" Rika asked as she could hear her boyfriends smirk.
"Amazing, I've told Kirito where Asuna is, I'm just trying to figure out a way to expose RECT, sadly this would also destroy the reputation of VRMMO's but I'd be able to get people to the World Tree in ALO and then finish off the damned event to climb it properly" Naruto said surprising and confusing her.
"How will you expose RECT?" Rika asked as Naruto turned on his camera pointing it towards his PC and clicked on the security camera's in the game showing her a lab.
"This, is what the players are climbing to, a lab kind of place" Naruto said as Rika looked surprised "If I keep going through this we'll find something that is illegal" Naruto said "Hopefully" he mumbled as he flicked through the camera's and when he reached the second from final one his eyes widened "They're experimenting on people's brains using ALO" Naruto said and the camera zoomed in on one of the name plates "Schmitt" he whispered as he figured out what it was "1001 people never woke up when SAO finished, this is why" he whispered and screenshotted the screen before flipping to the last camera and his eyes widened further, it was a birdcage and he heard Rika reply for him.
"Asuna?" Rika whispered as he growled.
"Yeah, Asuna" he whispered as he screenshotted it again "Or in the game Titania" Naruto said as he turned the camera to the mirror and then he opened up a console on the camera so he could manipulate the mirror, once he activated it he wrote out "Your Broody Knight is coming-N" and as soon as he knew Asuna read it from her eyes widening he erased it, in time too because he heard the door open and saw someone enter.
"Titania" the man said and Naruto realized the voice as he started to record the camera footage on his PC.
"Sugou" Asuna replied getting a tut from the man.
"Oh Titania, you know it's Oberon here" he said as Asuna snarled.
"I'm not Titania!" her eyes hardened on Sugou and she noticed the flashing knowing Naruto was recording "What do you want Sugou?" she asked as he smirked.
"Oh, I met this Kirito today, not as strong in real life as he is in the game" Sugou said as he didn't know Naruto and Rika were watching the whole thing and proceeded to explain what he was doing to the brains in the last image and Naruto smirked.
As soon as he saw Sugou leave he wrote out the code on the mirror for Asuna who nodded and he erased it knowing she memorized it and wrote out "Give Kirito a day, if things get bad just know I'll be checking in daily-N" and then the camera turned off, Naruto downloaded the video onto a disk and then posted the photo online on an alt account which seemed nothing related to him and claimed he worked at RECT and got access to the in-game security cameras posting the photo of Asuna but not the minds, he wanted to wait for that, for now he just needed to wait for Kirito to get to Asuna.
A/N: Imma leave this chapter off here, next chapter will be a time skip to the end of the whole ALO bs and a small review of what happened over the 3 days- Holy shit ALO arc was really crammed into 3 days.
