Chapter 11: The Long Journey Begins! On The Road To Lavender Town!

Back at the hotel, Michael and the girls quickly packed up their things, they regrouped in the lobby. Michael handed Torterra, Vulpix, and Sandslash over to Nurse Joy for a full medical checkup. While that was going on, he called the professors.

Rowan - "Ah Michael. Congratulations on another successful gym badge won."

Michael - "Thank you professor Rowan."

Juniper - "How's Sandslash doing? She took quite a beating during that battle."

Michael - "She's fine. Just majorly exhausted."

Birch - "That's good to hear. She put on quite the show with those combo moves, especially during the final exchange with Raichu."

Michael - "Well if she's patched up before our conversation ends, then you guys can complement her yourselves. Otherwise, I'll be sure to pass the words along for you."

Oak - "We appreciate that, Michael. Now what say you show us your PokéDex."

Michael - "Sure thing."

Just like the two times before, Michael placed his PokéDex on the scanner.

Magnolia - "Kukui's right. The commitment to help Michael fill up his PokéDex is there for all to see."

Michael - "By the way. Why is there a Dex entry on me?"

Oak - "Because you awakened your powers yesterday, we all decided to make a Dex entry since you are a Pokémon after all."

Michael - "Fair enough."

Elm - "However, until you decide to publicly announce them, you and you alone will have the entry in your PokéDex."

Michael - "That's fine."

Rowan - "Ok then Michael. We'll see you for the next update after your win at the Celadon gym."

Michael - "Ok bye everyone."

Michael ended the call and the screen went black.

Michael - "OK Qrow and Winter. Your room is still being paid for during your stay here, while our rooms are now vacated."

Winter - "By the way Michael. How were you able to pay for the rooms? Especially the master suite?"

Michael - "When I was checking us in, I had mom and dad on the phone and asked to see the manager. From there, we made a deal where every room would be paid for on a day-to-day basis. You two are more than welcome to check out whenever u want, but u have until 11:59:59 to say that you still want the room, otherwise it's vacated. And if you want to change rooms, just contact my parents. Or I can do that for you both right now."

Qrow - "Then mind if we take the master suite you had?'

Michael smirked.

Michael - "Sure thing. Just follow me to the front desk. You girls go on ahead to Vermilion's north exit. I'll meet up with you all there."

Girls - "Ok."

Soon after Qrow and Winter were moved to their new room in the hotel, Michael rejoined the girls and they were soon on their way to Lavender Town. Upon entering Route 9, Michael caught both versions of Nidoran and sent them to Akira. Then while battling trainers, Ivysaur and Bayleef evolved into Venusaur and Meganium respectively.

Clair - "Man, you girls are right about one thing. Michael truly is a battling genius."

Twilight - "He's been like that since he was 5."

Ruby - "Hence why the professors, minus professor Magnolia, gave him all of the starters."

Clair - "I see. And that promise to your friend Fluttershy?"

Rainbow - "We all specialize in a certain type. Ruby, her cousin Yang, and Weiss follow you and the rest of the Gym Leaders and specialize in a single type, while the rest of us specialize in at least two types."

Clair - "Who has which types?"

Weiss - "Ice."

Ruby - "I'm Steel. Yang's Dragon. Blake's Dark and Ghost.'

Twilight - "Psychic and Fairy."

Pinkie - "Water and Normal."

Rarity - "Rock and Ground."

Rainbow - "I'm Electric and Flying. Applejack's Fire and Fighting. And Fluttershy's Grass, Bug, and Poison. As for the promise. Michael can't use any Fire and Poison Pokemon against the Grass and Bug gyms."

Clair - "Ah. So Fluttershy's a big nature lover then."

Girls - "You have no idea..."

Clair chuckled a bit.

Clair - "Well at least we're making nice progress to Lavender Town."

Soon they came to Route 10, where Michael caught a Krabby and sent him to Akira.

Michael - "Let's stop here for lunch girls."

Rainbow - "Hey Michael. Surge told me about a power plant that's south of our location along the river. What say you, Ruby, and I head down there and check it out?"

Michael - "You girls don't mind?"

Rarity - "Not at all."

Weiss - "Yeah. Lunch should be ready by the time you three get back."

Michael - "Alright then. We'll use Feraligatr to swim down and back."

Michael brought out Feraligatr and asked if he could carry them down the river to the power plant.

Feraligatr - "Sure! Hop on!"

Michael/Rainbow/Ruby - "Yay!"

The trio hoped on Feraligatr's back and sailed on down the river. Soon they arrived at the power plant. There, they each caught a Magnemite, along with Michael catching a Grimer and Voltorb, as well as an Electabuzz encounter. Rainbow and Ruby kept their Magnemite's, while Michael sent all of his catches to Akira. They then went inside the power plant and looked around for anything. Michael and Rainbow both found an Electirizer and a Magnet. Soon they returned to the others and their camp. While battling the wild Pokemon, Dratini and Horsea evolved into Dragonair and Seadra. Then Michael revealed the dragon scale Seadra had been holding onto when Michael caught her as a Horsea, and used it alongside the Link Box to evolve Seadra into Kingdra.

Ruby - "We're back!"

Pinkie - "Welcome back guys! So what did you all find?"

Rainbow - "We all each caught a Magnemite, along with Michael also catching a Grimer and Voltorb."

Michael - "I also got an Electabuzz encounter. As well as evolving Dratini and Horsea."

Clair - "Oh can we see them?"

Michael - "Sure."

Michael brought out Kingdra and Dragonair, which the others were amazed at seeing. After eating lunch, the party continued along Route 10. Suddenly, they were surrounded by Rocket grunts.

Grunt #1 - "Well, well. Seems like we get the chance to avenge our fallen comrade."

Clair - "Which grunt are they talking about?"

Rainbow - "Most likely the one who had the Machamp that Michael beat down as well as kidnapping you and Lance."

Clair - "Makes sense then."

The grunts slowly got closer.

? - "Delphox use Fire Blast!"

Suddenly a large blast of fire hit the Rocket grunts, knocking a lot of them out. Soon the party got their footing under them.

Michael - "Take out of the rest of them girls!"

Girls - "Right!"

Michael and the girls quickly joined the fray, taking out the rest of the grunts with ease. They then turned to the person that helped them.

Michael - "Thanks for helping us out there."

Michael got a good look at the mysterious person, who turned out to be a woman that seemed to be the same age as him with waist-length brown hair. Her Delphox stood next to her.

? - "Not at all everyone. The name's Kyoshi. And this is Delphox."

Delphox - "Hello."

Clair - "Is Delphox your only Pokemon?"

Kyoshi - "Nope."

Kyoshi brought out the rest of her team, which were both forms of Ninetales, Unovan Zoroark, and Absol. Michael quickly pulled out his PokéDex and got a seen encounter for Kyoshi's entire team.

Michael - "Thanks for the seen encounters, Kyoshi."

Kyoshi - "Not at all Michael."

Kyoshi then quickly returned her team.

Kyoshi - "Sorry can't stay long. There's important business I need to take care of."

Michael - "Then don't let us keep you. Have a safe trip."

Kyoshi - "Thanks. You all do the same."

Soon Kyoshi was on her way and disappeared.

Michael - "I like her."

Twilight - "Same here. Hope we can meet her again somewhere down the line on our journey."

Ruby - "Agreed."

The party then entered the nearby Pokémon Center to get their teams healed up and make sure their supplies were good. After getting their Pokémon back and seeing that they had more than enough supplies, they entered Rock Tunnel. While making their way through the tunnel, Michael caught a Machop, Rhyhorn, Cubone, and Kangaskhan. Torracat also evolved into Incineroar while battling the many trainers scattered throughout the tunnel. Rarity also kept her promise and found a pair of Metal Coats, handing them to Ruby. Ruby quickly gave one to her Onix an used the Link Box to evolve her into a Steelix. Soon the party was out of Rock Tunnel and had arrived at their next destination.
