The next morning Naruto had woke up earlier than he had expected and sighed as he got out of bed and changed into his fatigues not wearing the jacket as he walked out of his room, he was humming a soft song with a book in hand as he walked to the lounge area and sat down seeing it empty, he kept humming a soft song until he heard the door open and looked up with a soft smile "Morning Raiden" he said seeing his friend who looked like he was lacking sleep "Not enough sleep?" he asked as Raiden growled "Oh what's wrong?" Naruto asked as Raiden glared at him.

"You're stupid riddles" Raiden said as Naruto chuckled "They had me up till midnight in a call with Kurena and Kaie trying to figure it out while you slept all night soundly" Raiden said getting a laugh from Naruto.

"If it makes you feel better I'm sure I told you who I liked a month after she joined us" Naruto said getting a groan.

"All the girls have been in the Squadron for a year, you think I remember 11 months ago?" Raiden countered as Naruto shrugged.

"And? Shin remembers and I told you two at the same time" Naruto said as he looked to the door "Huh, I never expected the girls to be up this early" Naruto said as they then saw Kurena open the door with Anju and Kaie behind her "Morning you three" Naruto said with a chuckle as Kaie just stuck her tongue out and Kurena didn't reply.

"Morning Naruto" Anju said as Naruto nodded to her, they all talked for a while until everyone had joined them in the common room, Naruto was about to say something until he heard everyone's para-raid connect and sighed.

"Hello Handler 1" Naruto said with a yawn as he looked for his mug "Oi where's my coffee!" he exclaimed surprising the Handler as Shin pointed to Theo drinking it "Laughing Fox you bastard" he growled and was about to attack until Raiden grabbed his shirt.

"Are they always like that?" Handler 1 asked and got an in sync yes from everyone.

"Eh? We aren't bad? Me and Kyuubi have been best buds since I joined him, Undertaker and Wehrwolf in Spearhead Squadron" Theo said knowing when on call to Handler they used their Juggernaut hull names "So handler 1, what's the wake up call for?" Theo asked as Haruto spoke up.

"Yeah I'd like to know as well" Haruto said.

"Ah well, Laughing Fox and Falke, I was wondering if I could get to know Kyuubi a lit-" she was cut off by the noise of someone disconnecting "Who disconnected?" she asked and Shin spoke.

"Kyuubi, he dislikes listening to Handler's, we don't know why" Shin said and she hummed "Anyways, it's good hearing from you handler" Shin said as they heard a door shut and looked to see Naruto wasn't there "Ah, I'm guessing Kyuubi is going to make breakfast?" he asked as he saw everyone nod and nodded.

"Kyuubi cooks?" Handler asked as she heard someone else reply.

"Kyuubi makes the best food here, he and Snow Witch seem to always make the best food and no one knows how" Daiya said getting hums of agreement from everyone "I always asked for recipes to learn from but they always just say they never used cookbooks and learned from practice" Daiya said as Anju spoke up.

"Black Dog, we don't always say that" she said before saying "We say we would hand you the recipes but none of you will spend time learning" Anju finished and they then heard a lot of cursing and Anju sighed "Seems Kyuubi accidentally cut himself" she said as she stood up and disconnected her para-raid and walking out.

"Is Snow Witch like the mother of the Squadron?" Handler asked as they hum in thought before Kurena spoke up.

"I guess she is huh?" Kurena said seeing as Anju walked out with the first aid kit "She and Kyuubi always cook for us, she cleans some of our laundry and whenever we get injured she's always the first to respond" Kurena finished as everyone nodded.

-With Naruto-

"Dammit, god dammit I just had to get angry and go cooking" he growled as he held his finger under the tap to clean the wound, he sighed as he then put his finger in his mouth and then took it out looking at the wound "Ouch this hurts" he whispered and heard the door open "Yes I cut myself by accident don't come in to rub it in my face" he growled not looking up.

"Oh, here I thought you wanted first aid" Anju said as his head snapped to her and he sighed.

"I thought it was Theo" he said as he held his hand out and sat on a stool "I wasn't expecting you to come so soon especially with Handler on the Para-raid" he said as Anju sighed.

"Well I have to come help your wounds somehow" she said as he chuckled softly "After all if I wasn't able to do this how else would I help you?" she asked as he sighed.

"You help me a lot actually so does everyone here" Naruto said as he looks away "You're all the only remaining family I have left, even if we did lose someone yesterday, I won't let you all die, especially not too fast" Naruto said as he looked down at his bandaged hand "Ahhh, now I can't make breakfast" he whined as she sighed "Would you be an angel and do it for me please Anju?" he asked as she giggled and stood up.

"I suppose" she said as he smiled.

"Thanks Anju" he said as he slowly walked out, he walked into the common room and saw their para-raids still lit up "Still talking to Handler 1?" he asked as they jumped, Shin nodded as he sighed "Well, I almost lost my finger tip" he said jokingly holding his finger up that was bandaged as Raiden laughed at him, then the para-raids light turned off "So is today a chill day Captain?" Naruto asked as Shin nodded.

"Yeah, they have nothing planned" Shin said as Naruto smiled and sat down.

"Anju took over breakfast because I'm mortally wounded" he said amusedly as Raiden sighed at him.

"You know, maybe we should leave you here when we leave for our next mission" Raiden said as Naruto chuckled staring at the ceiling.

"You all wouldn't, after all me and Shin decimate the Legion's together, even if I do turn off my para-raid" Naruto said as he rubbed his implant on his ear.

"Why do you turn it off Naruto?" Kurena asked as Naruto closed his eyes and smiled softly.

"I find all the voices annoying, plus it allows me to hear properly while it's off and think straight" Naruto said as Kurena squinted.

"You're like Shin?" she asked as Naruto scoffed.

"No, I don't hear the Legion, I hear everything" Naruto said as he looked at her "I can hear you all when you're in your juggernauts without my Para-raid so any orders that are given by you guys are the only ones I need and I can follow them easier than having them echo" Naruto said as Kurena's eyes widened "And yes it works while I sleep" Naruto said as she blushed "Getting quite full of yourself weren't you?" Naruto smirked as Raiden and Kaie chuckle at Kurena.

"So you heard our conversation?" Raiden asked as Naruto nodded.

"How couldn't I when Kurena was practically shouting how much I love her apparently" Naruto said as he shrugged and stood up "Food's done now" Naruto said and they were about to say something until they heard Anju shout 'Ready' "See?" Naruto asked as he left

Naruto slowly made his way out of the room and walked towards the cafeteria and he grabbed his food from the counter and sat down as he started to eat "Thanks Anju" he said as he looked up, he was joined by Kaie, Kurena, Shin, Raiden and Theo at the table as they ate their breakfast.

After breakfast Naruto was stood outside looking at the clouds and he heard Shin say "You thinking of drawing?" Shin asked as Naruto hummed before nodded.

"I'm gonna go get my pencils and sketch book" he said as he walked inside.

"Where's he going?" Raiden asked Shin.

"He's got inspiration" Shin said as Raiden chuckled, after a short while Naruto came out and started to draw the sky with clouds in them, while he was drawing he kept drawing humming softly.

He was soon interrupted when he saw Kaie stood over him "Hey, you plan on coming swimming" she asked as he groaned.

"I'm trying to draw, unless you want me to draw you?" Naruto asked as she giggled "You do look perfect for art" Naruto said as he looked her up and down before nodding "And other things" he said before he dodged a slap "Oi, I'm joking" he said as he saw her blushing and sighed "I'll come to the river soon, I'm just going to finish this" he said showing her the drawing as she smiled at it.

"You and Theo have always been good with art" she said as he smiled at her and then she moved out of the way so he could finish.

"I'll try to make sure my shirt doesn't get wet either" he said surprising her.

"You never have taken it off around people have you?" Kaie asked as he shook his head.

"Only when I was younger, I know Shin and Raiden have seem me without it on but that's because we've been together since we started" he said as she giggled and nodded before leaving he watched her leave remembering the direction as he continued to draw humming slightly, he finally finished after 20 minutes and looked at it with a smile as he went to his room putting the sketch book away with his pencils and started to make his way to the river where the girls usually went, on his way he saw Daiya, Haruto and Theo on their way there "Oh, you three heading to join the girls as well?" he asked as Haruto looked at him.

"What?!" Haruto asked as Naruto nodded and kept walking "You mean they invited you?" he asked as he nodded again still walking before stopping.

"You three weren't?" Naruto asked as Haruto nodded obviously lying and Naruto knew "Hurry along then" Naruto as he walked off, once he reached the river he smirked seeing the three trying to hide he waved at Kaie and smiled "I made it" he said as they all smiled, he reached the bottom of his shirt and took it off before hanging it from a tree branch and those behind his were shocked at his back seeing the scars on it.

He smiled at Anju who's eyes were wide from his actually showing his scar, he walked towards the river and stood there, he noticed a lot of them were looking at him and he chuckled "Hey" he said nervously not liking being the center of attention right now.

"Naruto" Kurena said as he hummed "I never knew you were so jacked" she said as he chuckled nervously and looked away "I also want to know" she said as he looked to her "What's that scar about?" she asked as he sighed.

"Well, I used to be in a camp for half bloods" Naruto said surprising them "I'm the son to one of the General's in the first ring" he said as he sat on the river bank "He thought it was amusing to have a one night stand with an 86" Naruto said as he pulled a strand of his hair in front of him "I gained his hair but my mom's darkened it a bit making me have this color" Naruto said as he looked away "If we ever finish being in the army I'm going to dye it" he said as Anju spoke up.

"What color?" she asked as Naruto smiled.

"Red, like my mom's, well that's the color I remember her hair being" Naruto said as they nodded "Kurena's hair color" Naruto said as they looked to her and imagined Naruto with that color and they nodded.

Naruto was relaxing until he felt water hit his face and looked over to see Kaie whistling innocent, he grinned and smirked "Hey, if I invited 3 others to help would that be alright?" he asked as the girls nodded "Daiya, Theo and Haruto come out" Naruto said as the three fell from the bush "They tried hiding when I was on my way here so I knew they were here" Naruto said as he stood up "But they are going to be my teammates in the water fight so punish them later" he said as the girls nodded and the three boys stood up.

"When do we start?" Theo asked as he saw Anju smile sweetly and Naruto smirked as he splashed her with water.

"Now I guess" Naruto said as he started to laugh.

-An hour later-

Naruto was stood there with a small smile on his face as he saw everyone had left the area and chuckles as he walked out of the river, he grabbed his shirt and put it on as he walked towards the base where they were staying, he hummed softly until he got there and sat on the steps with Shin "So, how's your day been?" he asked as Shin looked to him.

"Raiden had to watch the curry that Daiya decided to make when you four went to play" Shin said as Naruto shrugged "Apart from that I got a lot of reading in" Shin said as Naruto nodded.

"That's good" Naruto mumbled as he watched everyone chuckle and giggle "It feels weird, this small amount of peace" he said as Shin nodded "I just hope it lasts a little longer" he whispered, Shin nodded again.
