It had been 2 weeks since the Oni were defeated and banished. Even though she had the option of going back to the First Realm, Faith decided to stay in Ninjago for a while to see many things she had heard about from Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole and Gewuji during their time in her home realm since Firstbourne was still recovering. Kai had just written a new book called 'A Titanium Darkness', based on the Oni attack, and was informed that his third book, 'A Titanium's Ghostly Friend' was now being made into a movie and had been offered a cameo role. Jay and Nya were able to have their honeymoon in a village just around the mountains where they hiked, had snowball fights, and even made a snowman. Cole and Geoff were able to record new songs, along with Gewuji, mostly against those who think Geoff is useless due to his new blindness despite saving Ninjago from the Oni while blind or one song thanking Oni Garmadon for making them stronger. Aside from singing with her brother, Gewuji, along with others, had been helping Mantis out with some tutelage on Ninjago, but aligned with the education he had been receiving in the First Realm, he became a police officer with ease, but was still struggling with how Ninjago was different to the realm that he grew up in. Zane had been helping P.I.X.A.L. with her Samurai X technology as well as thinking of taking a vacation together. And Maggie was feeling the pressure of getting married to Geoff as during one of their lunches, Tania was almost getting close to Dr. Hall, but agreed to just be friends as their children were getting married.
But at the moment, three figures were walking along the alleyways of Ninjago City as it was being rebuilt with many cranes and builders around. Two of them appeared young while the third had some wrinkles underneath his eyes. "Left, left!" A builder called out to a crane operator as the three figures passed by. "No, the other left!"
Close by, Cyrus Borg wheels himself along the site, checking on their progress. "Great work, people." He said as he moved along. "The last 6 weeks were hard, but we had almost made it look like the Oni haven't even attacked this city at all."
"Uh, Mr. Borg, need you to sign this." A nearby man said, handing him a pen and clipboard. Cyrus stops to sign it, hands him back the pen and clipboard, and the man soon walked away. "Thank you, sir."
The three figures soon came up to a nearby bus, and head in before it closed and drove off. Inside the bus, the three figures, a middle aged man in a grey kimono and black helmet, holding a walking cane, and two men, one had a brown beard and was wearing a green beanie, black zipped up jacket, blue jeans and black loafers, and the other one with a black moustache was wearing a blue beanie, grey jacket, white shirt, black jeans and brown loafers, are seated at the back as one girl was looking at them before a nearby woman grabs her. "Annabelle, darling, it's not polite to stare at strangers." She said, making her turn away before turning to them. "Sorry about that."
"It's okay, ma'am." The man in the kimono replied as he looked at a watch on his right wrist.
Several minutes later, the bus stopped in the middle of the Sea of Sand, close to what appeared to be to an abandoned building before the three men get off, and head over to it as the bus takes off. They come up to the front door, open it, and head in. Inside, the building was very dark with just a bunch of candles being the only lightning inside the building, the figures came up to a circle of candles where many men and women were seated on the ground. "Brothers and sisters of Yether Age, I, Chongbai Yether, apologize for my delay to this meeting." He said before sitting down and placed his cane in front of him before removing his helmet, revealing his bald head, and placed the helmet in front of the cane.
"That is forgiven, brother Chongbai." A man with brown hair replied. He was wearing brown robes with a Walther PPK laid in front of him as a hood was behind him.
"Of course, darling." A man with black hair said. He was wearing purple, black and red robes with a grey beanie, a big chain and pink armour in front of him. "We were a bit late ourselves. A lot of construction work around the cities we came from."
"Fino was on schedule." A dwarf woman with blonde hair replied. She was wearing a red kimono with a backpack, two Beretta 92FSs, one regular and one an Inox, a Harrington & Richardson Model 733 inside it, and a Barrett XM109 by her side.
"Because I am programmed on where I need to be." A woman with black hair, a right red eye, robotic left arm and left leg said with a robotic voice.
"Alright, let's start our meeting." Chongbai replied as he soon turns to the two men. "You two, please leave us immediately." The two men soon bowed before they walk away. "I know we haven't had one of these meetings after the Oni attacked our city, but now we are reunited and ready to proceed on schedule."
"How far along is the bearer?" A man with blonde hair asked. He had sandy coloured robes and brown shirt with a revolver and a sword bladed taped to the barrel in front of him. "I haven't heard anything since the other day when we caught her trying to escape with another man as the city was being evacuated by the Ninja."
"She is due in about a month's time." Chongbai replied. "Now, Yether clan, many of us have been together since childhood, some joining, some from birth. But, once our future king is born, I, as clan leader, shall stand down once the boy is 10, just like our previous king. To do that, we need the three artefacts of Yether. The Medallion of Oculus, the Dagger of Aurumetacri and the Staff of Vivifica." He soon got out a half of a medallion. "We have already obtained one half of the Medallion of Oculus, we just need the other half and the dagger and staff."
"And how is the bearer doing at the moment?" The man with black, pink and red robes asked.
"I have already sent Zhong to check up on her."
In a basement, there was a young woman presumably in her early 20s with blonde hair and brown eyes, wearing a grey shirt, black skirt and black flats, sitting on a couch inside a cage as she was looking at her baby bump while rubbing it. "Don't worry, sweetie." She said. "I'll make sure you don't become their future king."
"Oh, he will be, Callen." A man replied, coming up to the cage. He had a black jacket, grey sweatshirt, black jeans and black loafers on as well as some black sunglasses. "You made a really good decision, mating with Bladolver."
"Bladolver never should've met me at all."
"If you hadn't, our future king wouldn't be inside you at all. Remember, any Yether Age clan member with a future child must allow them to become future king once they're born when we have the three artefacts of Yether, our first ruler of Ninjago."
"You're all crazy."
Zhong scoffed. "No we're not."
"Well, what if the baby is a girl?"
"Oh, it'll be a boy. We all know it." He soon walked away.
Callen soon tilted her head down. "Pray to the First Spinjitzu Master someone comes for me."
Banging was soon heard from a nearby door as the doorknob came off and the door opened, revealing a man with black hair and blue eyes, wearing a black coat, brown slacks and black loafers. "Callen." He said, coming up to the cage.
"Billy." Callen stood up and came to him.
"Okay, stand back."
Callen stood back as Billy stuck a crowbar through the cage door and pulled on it, breaking the lock off, and opened the cage door. "Thank you! Now, let's get out of here, someone would have heard that."
"Right, this way." Billy and Callen start heading for the door. "I got a car just outside."
"Hey!" Zhong was heard, coming down, holding two pickaxes as he charged at them.
"Run!" Billy throws his crowbar at Zhong, who ducks to avoid it as Billy ran out.
"The bearer is escaping!" Zhong turns to the stairwell. "The bearer has broken out!"
Upstairs, the Yether Age clan leaders hear the yelling and turn to the stairwell. "Yingteer, take some brothers with you and go after her now!" Chongbai yelled as he came up to the stairwell.
"Yes, Master!" Yingteer replied as he took off.
Outside, Billy and Callen come up to a big black car as Billy turned to Callen. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Are you cold?"
"A little." Callen replied.
"Here." He unzips his coat, revealing a white shirt and red tie, before taking it off and gives it to Callen, who puts it on, and they get in as Billy immediately started the car and drove off.
Inside the car, Callen looks at the rear view mirror to see some men coming out of the building. "Where are we going?"
"One place I know that is safe. Ninjago City."
Callen soon looked down at her baby bump. "Ninjago City. That is where he is."
"Who?"
"No one in particular."
