Chapter 1:
The Host Club
A beautiful girl with long brown hair with hazel eyes stared back into the camera. She wore a pair of white booty shorts and a bikini top. Over her shoulders was a button up shirt that remained completely undone showing her fit abdomen and cleavage from the bikini top. Her eyes are defined by the mascara and eyeliner giving the perfect smokey eye look. The young beauty was often called "Queen of hearts" since her modeling career hit like wildfire at a young age with her sister Misaki. "Maeko, babe.. Give me a wink to the camera" the photographer requested. Inwardly sighing Maeko did as requested. Biting her lips she winked with a little squat to the camera.
The young model could practically do anything and it would sell magazines. Turning her back to the camera Maeko turned her head to look over her shoulder as she gave a kiss to the camera. Bending forward she started a stretching pose and as she inclined her body back up towards the camera. Another half an hour went by before they called it a day. Maeko sighed, grabbing her water bottle from the floor and swallowed a gulp of water.
Turning around Maeko bumped into a solid form, pressing her palms against the form she looked up noticing Tai. Smiling, Maeko moved away from him standing before him still dressed in her bikini. "Miss, it's about time we get you to school" Taishi informed her. "Yes, I almost forgot" Maeko mumbled as she continued to walk to her dressing room. Quickly changing into her school uniform which consisted of a yellow ball gown, Maeko rushed out with her belongings. Piling into the car Taishi nodded and drove off to the school.
Misaki hadn't been feeling good that morning, therefore decided to skip the photo shoot in Maeko's completely capable hands. Misaki had arrived at Ouran High school before Maeko and decided to wait out in front by the rose gardens. There was plenty of time before the first class began and even then it seemed Maeko could always get out of any trouble.
"A penny for your thoughts?" A red/pink rose was immediately in Misaki's face as she looked up. Standing before her was Tamaki. A young french/Japanese boy whose father was chairman of the school. Tamaki was also her boyfriend and the first person besides Maeko to make her feel at ease.
"Tamaki! You didn't have to bring me a rose" Misaki lightly scolded him, but she couldn't tell him just how much her heart beat had raced at that small gesture. Hearing tires hitting pavement, Misaki turned to see a White limo pull up. Standing, Misaki and Tamaki began walking towards it to greet her older sister Maeko.
As the Limo came to a stop, Tai stepped out and came to the back passenger door. Opening it he assisted Maeko upon her exit from the Limo. Maeko turned and smiled at Tai. "Thanks!" She exclaimed and even proceeded with a kiss on the cheek before turning her back on him and making her way to Tamaki and Misaki.
Smile gone Maeko reached up and hit Tamaki on the head. "Oy, what's going on here, you two aren't allowed to be alone together. He will take advantage..remember that time when the doctor got into the school." Maeko said pulling Misaki closer to her.
In truth, Maeko did trust Tamaki, however. He was just too fun to mess with. Watching his cheeks turn a bright pink, she held in a laugh not wanting to break the facade of the bigger sister, even though it was only by ten minutes.
"Maeko, it's not like that." Misaki mumbled having her pale cheeks turn a bright pink trying to hide her embarrassment from her boyfriend and sister using her hair as a curtain to avoid eye contact with either of them.
"I am not a creep, how can you say that Maeko-Chan, I would never." Tamaki dramatically threw himself on the floor at Maeko's feet, having both twins laugh lightly.
"Is the boss bugging you girls again?" Two boys looking exactly alike and speaking in unison had arrived at the unfortunate embarrassing scene. The Hitachiin Twins also known as the Devil Twins were now pulling the young Tamaki off the ground mocking him as well.
"Something like that, he thinks he can take advantage of sweet little Misaki." Maeko smiled brightly as she squeezed her little sister tighter making her blush more.
The twins burst into laughter at the comment. Even though Tamaki was the president of the host club known for being a ladies man he had no experience to seduce anyone in that way. But like before, teasing the young blonde was too easy and too fun. Misaki made a small noise as she heard the bell ring making her jump lightly. Not wanting to be late Misaki pulled at her sisters' dress. "Class will start soon and me and Tamaki have English, you know I can't be late." Misaki grabbed her boyfriend by the hand and the two walked away leaving the Devil Twins and Maeko alone and heading to their assigned homeroom for the day. Maeko started to feel a tall presence walking behind her Maeko smiled to herself before turning around looking up to see a tall and handsome dark haired teenager standing. "Mori." Maeko smiled as he cupped her cheek making her heart flutter.
"Mori-Senpai!" Maeko Smiled brightly as she looked up to him. "I thought you wanted to see me after lunch today, not that I'm complaining. A girl could get used to some eye candy." Maeko winked as she blew a kiss.
Mori smirked softly at Maeko before handing her a Small square box with a Purple ribbon tied it closed.
Maeko tilted her head to the side as she tugged the ribbon loose. Lifting the box lid up, Maeko gasped. Inside the box was a locket. Gold details laid on the outside spelled out Morinozuka. Upon opening the locket up, Maeko smiled softly seeing a picture of Young mori inside.
"What's this for?" Maeko questions Mori as she looks up at him. Mori opened his mouth to tell her but the school clock tower bell rang signifying class was starting. "We can talk later" Maeko quickly pressed her lips against his cheek before running into the class.
During the first period/Homeroom Maeko's mind returned to the gift Mori had given her. What did it mean? It looked very personal and Sentimental to be giving away. Maeko blushed softly pressing her finger tips to her lips as she sighed. She was so grateful for Mori. He gave her a purpose to be here in this school and to endure all that she has.
Class came to an end and Maeko hurried along the pink hallways, passing by the girls in their Yellow marshmallow dresses and the men in their blue slacks and blazers. Losing herself in her thoughts she didn't feel someone tug on the sleeve of her dress. Another tug caught her attrition as she saw a fluff of blonde hair and brown eyes sparkling right up at her.
"Maeko-Chan! You look extra lovely today, especially with that pretty locket, Doesn't she bun bun." The small looking boy smiled brightly as he waved his very large pink rabbit around. Maeko laughed watching as the blonde danced around her. "Honey Senpai, do you know what the locket means? Mori didn't have time to tell me before the bell rang for the homeroom." Honey's eyes glazed over as he began to jump with excitement. "I cant believe her didn't tell you! This means that.." Before the bubbly teenager could finish another member of the host club had cleared his throat wanting the attention to be turned to him.
"Isn't there more important matters to attend, like class." He pushed up his glasses giving the other two a stern look.
"Well hello to you too Kyoya." Maeko nodded her head at his presence.
"Honey, don't you have class, you wouldn't want to make Maeko late now would you?" Kyoya gave him a stern look earning a heavy sigh and a tongue be stuck out as he walked away. "I see you have been given something of great importance, but it is not for me or Honey or anyone to say, if I were you I would keep that very safe, shall I walk you to class." Kyoya extended his arm to Maeko as he took her to her next class.
Her mind was now spinning, what exactly did she get from Mori and if everyone knew what it was but her how could she survive until lunch to get some answers. Good thing she had music class next with her sister otherwise she wouldn't know how to get through the day.
Walking into the music room it felt as if all eyes were on her. Usually it doesn't bother her but today it just felt like everyone knew a secret she didn't. Finding her sister practicing on the cello with a frustrated face made her feel a little at ease. Not because she was struggling with her instrument but it seemed her sister wasn't on with whatever secret was going on. Passing by she could hear whispering and giggles of delight.
"Misaki, relax your body a little, you look tense." Putting her fingers on top of her twins she gently began to help her with the bow of the cello. "You have gotten better." Maeko smiled knowing the words of encouragement meant a lot to her sister. Misaki's face went from frustration to a bright smile in an instant.
"You really think so? Do you think Father would be happy?" Misaki had a glint of hope in her eyes. Before Maeko could answer her sister the bell rang for class to begin. Maeko took her seat pulling out her violin in the process as everyone began to play on Que the moment the teacher had walked in. Behind Maeko was a group of girls who just stood there until they would wait for their Que to bang the drum or hit a triangle. Again she began to hear giggles and whispers and they were about Mori and herself. Trying to focus on her music and ignore them she swore she could hear them talk about her locket. From what she heard or assumed of what she heard is whatever was given to her was a big deal and that Mori had a bigger surprise for her at the school festival that would be coming up soon. Pushing her personal thoughts away she continued to focus on her solo that she had.
The bell had rung for class to be over and as usual the whole class would gush over how good she was and say how lucky she was to be so talented. Misaki walked over to the group of classmates trying to make her way into the circle as well.
"Maeko, you're like the coolest person in the world, how could you be so unfortunate to have a sister like Misaki." One boy had laughed out. Misaki heard and began to walk away from the group heading for the hallway. Maeko made a stern face.
"My sister is just as talented, she is special and one of the kindest and giving person i have been thankful to know, maybe she could give you a personality for her next charity event" walking past the students and hearing everyone laugh at the boy who made the comment.
Outside in the hallway she saw Mori and Misaki talking. "Ugh I just hate pathetic people who get off by bullying! Don't they know that they are the real monsters in this world!" Maeko huffed as she brushed her bangs out of her face.
Looking between her sister and mori, Maeko paused. "Did I just interrupt something?" She asked as she nervously bit on her bottom lip.
Misaki blushed, shaking her head. "No. Nothing like that maeko. You know that! " Misaki trailed off as the atmosphere felt heavy. "Got ya!" Maeko cheered as she turned her back laughing softly and headed towards her next class, her violin strapped to her back. "Ah!" Maeko shrieked as Mori lifted her up, bridal style and began walking down the hallway.
"Mori-senpai? Where are we going?" Maeko asked a soft blush across her cheeks as she noticed Misaki trailing behind them.
"Host club" Mori uttered as he continued with his task. Sighing softly, Maeko relaxed. As much as she wanted a special day with him, she knew it was impossible at times.
Soon, maeko, Misaki and mori arrived at the doors to the 3rd music room. Opening the doors, a unison "Welcome" greeted them.
"What? No rose petals?" Maeko asked, looking around. "Oh, it's just you guys," A boy with copper hair, styled to the right, muttered. "Hikaru, don't be mean now! We're practically royalty!" Maeko scolds as she walks into the room and plops down on the couch. "So, what's the plan for tonight?" Maeko asks as she turns around to look at everyone.
Kaoru had appeared out of nowhere and laid on the couch where his head lay in Maeko lap. Smiling, maeko ignored the piercing glare from mori and began running her fingers through kaoru's hair.
"Tonight is the family and friend party," Kyoya announced, his laptop in front of him at a nearby table. "Our parents have all been invited. "
Misaki frowned and scurried to her sisters side, sitting down. A small frown graced Maekos face briefly as she patted Misaki hand.
"And all will be fine. You have nothing to worry about I promise. '' Maeko smiled giving her sister a smile which would give them both hope. Their father wasn't an easy man to impress or an easy man to get along with. The twins knew the boys they were courting would be good enough for any daughter to date, but their father was a different story.
"So Maeko, are you and Mori going to finally tell us what you have been practicing these past couple of weeks?" the devil twins said in unison with a smirk and a wiggle of eyebrows make Mori blush slightly.
"Yes, the club does need to know to see what you perform, to see if it will help us get more people to join our club." Kyoya said with a notebook in hand.
Tamaki made his way to Misaki pulling her aside from her sister and the rest of the club. "Do you not want me to meet your father my sweet?" Tamaki put his hands on her face making her blush madly. The blood rushing to her ears and cheeks.
"It's not that at all. It's just that, he's not what you think, he's different. And well you know what it's like for me. And you're the only one who makes me feel safe and wanted. What If he doesn't think I'm good enough for you?" Misaki's eyes began to water as her boyfriend began to wipe them away.
"You are more than good enough for me and nothing can change that. My father adores you and after today your father will love me. Everyone loves me." Tamaki smiled a corky grin having the devil twins and Maeko laugh all three of them falling on the floor rolling with laughter.
A phone began to ring having the laughing fit stop as Maeko got up slowly and went to her bag as she looked at the screen and sighed as she answered.
"Hello father. Yes father, Misaki is with me. We just finished music lessons, yes, I understand we will leave right now." The stern hard voice on the other side did not sound pleased. Maeko put her phone back in her bag as she looked over to her sister and with a look in her eyes Misaki grabbed her bag as she kissed her boyfriend on the cheek and the two began to leave the music room. Mori grabbed Maeko by the hand and gave her a longing look wanting her to stay. As much as she wanted to she knew it was impossible. Her father was a man you did not want to keep waiting.
"We can talk at the festival tonight. I promise. ``Maeko kissed him on the lips softly and went to the front of the school with her sister where the white limo was waiting with their bodyguard and driver Tai. On the way home both girls were quiet. They had been looking forward to the festival all week but now that their father was coming it did not seem like a happy and fun event at all.
Their mother was waiting for them in the foyer. She was a natural beauty but over the years had gotten so much plastic surgery and filler she lost most of her natural beauty and looked more like a porcelain doll. Their mother hated it when her own flesh and blood had become more famous and more popular with the gentleman then she did. She had become bitter and full of hate that she became an alcoholic.
"Well of it isn't it the daughter who stole my spotlight and the other worthless one."
Their mother slurred out as she took another gulp of wine from her glass while playing with her hair sensually as Tai their bodyguard stood behind them.
" I picked out some dresses for you. Why don't you put them on and look presentable for tonight. And Twin put a corset on to tuck in all the fat hanging off that ugly body of yours." The mother smiled as she took another long sip of her wine. Misaki bit back tears as she hung her head down and went up to her room and did what her mother had said.
Watching Misaki sulk away from their mother, Maeko turned and glared, "OK mother" Maeko flipped her hair over her shoulder and strutted away, swaying her hips back and forth provocatively, as she had been taught.
Maeko exited the foyer and made her way to her room. The twins shared a closet, but had 2 separate rooms that connected to one another. Walking into her room Maeko scoffed as she saw the dress on her bed. A Mustard yellow dress laid on her bed. It hung like an over-sized t-shirt that had been stretched out. From top to bottom, the dress was covered in wrinkles and lint. It had several buttons that ran down the front of the dress.
"Of course, she doesn't want me to out shine her.. " Maeko hummed to herself and turned to her closet. Pulling several dresses out, Maeko finally decided on an off the shoulder above the knee crimson red lace dress, and a pair of strappy black stiletto heels.
Shrugging out of the clothes for the day, Maeko crossed her room only in her bra and panties to the bathroom door. The school event wasn't until the evening so it really allowed everyone time to change and relax before arriving back at Ouran High school.
The bathroom was spacious, since both girls shared it. There was a hot tub style bathtub in the center of the room, and two individual showers with waterfall faucets on the wall behind the tub, in between each shower was a double sink with a large mirror. The left and right side of the bathroom matched identically A vanity, with complete mirrors, lighting and separated bathroom space for the toilets. Maeko used the left side of the room and Misaki used the right side, and they both shared the tub.
Looking around, Maeko sighed softly, not seeing her sister. Walking to the shower on the back left hand side of the bathroom, maeko stripped down and stepped inside.
After washing her hair and body of oils, makeup and dirt from the day, Maeko stepped out grabbing a nearby towel. Sitting in front of her vanity maeko began the process of drying and styling her hair.
Blow dryer and round brush in hand, Maeko started the long process of drying her hair. Her chestnut brown hair was a bit longer than it had been in the past, it now reached the middle of her back, much longer than Misaki who preferred her hair shoulder length. Deciding to style her hair in a half up and down style with curls, she grabbed a few rollers and strategically placed them in. Separating the top portion, she created a halo effect around the crown of her head before twirling the hair into a pretty rose knot. Catching the glimmering in the reflection of the mirror made maeko pause. Mori's gift hung from her neck, shining under the bright lights.
Smiling she sighed. Maeko couldn't trust that her father would behave himself since often he didn't. Dismissing any depressing thoughts, Maeko started doing her makeup. After completing her face of the multiple products, (Moisturizer, primer, concealer, foundation, blush and lip gloss- rosy) Maeko turned her attention to her eyes. Deciding on a smokey eye effect, she grabbed her red, black and silver eye shadows. Black mascara, and eye liner as well as gold glitter.
Finishing up with her eye makeup, Maeko stood and left the bathroom heading back into her bedroom. Her room was large, with a beautiful canopy king size bed in the center of the room. The left wall had a large Bay style window with window seats looking into the garden. Misaki also had a similar window in her room just on the right wall. To the right of the bed was the large walk-in closet with a sitting area. Heading back towards the bed Maeko quickly slipped into the dress and strappy heels.
Looking at the clock Maeko sighed. Time was going much faster than she had anticipated and couldn't raxx as long as she would have liked to. Standing up Maeko returned to the bathroom, and sat at the vanity. Removing the rollers from her hair she lightly raked her hands through the curls breaking them up. "Perfect!"
Turning away from the vanity, Maeko crossed the bathroom towards the right side (Misaki's side) and knocked on the conjoined door waiting to hear from Misaki.
A small whimper was heard before her sister had answered allowing her twin to come in. Misaki was sitting on her window sill wiping her eyes. Maeko hated it when her sister was like this. Her eyes were puffy and her nose a little shiny. Maeko looked at her sister and noticed that she wasn't even ready.
"Misaki? Why aren't you dressed?" Maeko raised an eyebrow as she walked over to her sisters bed and saw a hideous dress the color of spoiled milk. "Mother wanted you to wear this?" Maeko picked up the dress and looked at it more. It wasn't even her sisters size. It was two sizes to small. Their mother had gotten a dress that would not even fit. It was their mothers way to get under Misaki's skin and make her feel insecure about her self. To make her feel that she was wasn't the size their mother wanted them to be, which was skin and bones. Thinking to herself she remembered all the dresses she had laid on her bed. Grabbing her sisters hand she lead her through the bathroom and sat her down at her vanity.
"I have just the thing for you." Maeko dashed to her room grabbing a soft pink dress that reached the knee. The sleeves hung of the shoulders. "Now let's get that beautiful face of yours all dolled up." Maeko grabbed her makeup brushes and did the same routine with all the primer and foundation. Taking her time with her sisters eyes because Misaki didn't wear makeup unless it was for a photo shoot or events they had attended.
Putting on a shimmering pink eye-shadow with a hint of gray for a smoky look to help make her sisters eyes pop. Using a thick mascara to make her eyelashes look fuller. She had finished up with a clear shimmery lip gloss and some highlighter on her cheeks and nose. Smiling to herself she was proud of the work she had done. She didn't need to do much with Misaki's hair but curl the ends. Misaki didn't like putting her hair up. But tonight she would pin the bangs out of her sisters face to show her just how beautiful she really was. Using a hair pin with a butterfly she pinned her bangs back.
"Now you look gorgeous. Tamaki should hold onto you tight tonight" Maeko wiggled her eyebrows. Misaki was staring at her self in the mirror taking double takes of how she looked
The dress fit her perfect. Her makeup was flawless she felt more then pretty she felt secure and proud to be herself for ounce.
"Maeko thank you!" Misaki clung to her twin trying not to ruin the job her sister had just done.
"Now let's get this show on the road. " Maeko grabbed a pair of Grey heels that wrapped a bow around the ankle and gave them to Misaki. The two girls exited the shared bathroom and headed downstairs.
Their mother was back in the foyer flirting with one of the bodyguards. Trying to show off all the work she has gotten done. From the filler in her face to the implants in her chest and lower backside. The dress she was wearing could be barley even be considered a dress. It barley covered her upper thighs and the low neckline showed off her so called impressive cleavage. Putting her hands on the bodyguards nether region and stroking his bicep trying to get some sort of reaction from him. The bodyguards eyes left hers as he glanced up at the stair case where the twins stood. Their mother glanced at the direction of the bodyguards with a wicked smirk. The smirk vanished as soon as she saw that neither of her daughters were wearing the dress she had picked out.
"Don't we look ravishing mother." Maeko said with a sneer. Before their mother could say a word a man in a dark blue suit came into the foyer. All three women became quiet and tense. The man looked at the twins with a grin. Kari, I see Maeko has yet again taken her training to heart with out your help" the mans voice was low but husky. Hearing her name from the mans lips made their mother uncomfortable. "Akito, you are home early my love, I thought it was just going to be Maeko and the ugly duckling going." Their mother smiled making her way from the bodyguard to their father.
"Shut up Kari your making my head hurt." Their father snapped his fingers as Misaki came rushing down the stairs staring at the floor not trying to make eye contact with their father.
"Worthless, I see you have made yourself decent in some way. So far you haven't made me not want to look at you. Get out of my sight before I change my mind on finding you interesting." Misaki quickly went to her sisters side her head staying down not wanting to make her father upset. Even though what he said was considered somewhat nice.
"Maeko, you better not disappoint me tonight. Or there will be consequences. With what you are wearing it should be decent enough for a man to find you alluring. Now before I get more into a fowl mood for find the younger annoying one and have Tai get the car ready."
"Yes father." The twins said in unison as they looked for the younger one of the family and headed to the limo.
