A little while later, Quinn and Chris walked into his bed room. "You are so competitive." Quinn said to him.

"I just want to win. And I know Tricia cheats."

"How do you cheat at life?" Quinn laughed. "It's a simple game. One your sister loves to play."

Chris laughed. "It was nice to see Tricia laughing and having fun. She loved to kid Jon about his many kids."

"You had quite a few too." She said as she pulled back the covers and laid down.

"Yeah well. Just how the game fell." He smiled. "And let's get into bed and get some rest." She nodded and they laid down.

Tricia headed to the guest and laid down. It was fun to play the game and she actually had a great time. She looked up when there was a knock on the door. She got up from the bed and opened it. She was shocked to see Jon standing there.

"Hey, is everything okay?"

"Yeah. Just wanted to check on you. Not really all that tired."

"Neither am I to tell you the truth." She looked at him. "How about we play cards? I so bet I can beat you."

"You're on." He said walking in the guest room. "Did you want to play here or the living room?"

"We can play in here."

"Alright." He said walking in and shutting the door.

Tricia got out the cards she had in the nightstand. "So, what do you want to play? Poker or Go Fish?"

"Do you play rummy?"

"I have no idea how to play that."

"I can teach you."

"Okay." She smiled. "Well sit down on the bed. It will be hard to play with you standing up and me sitting."

"Sorry." He laughed and sat down on the bed.

"Alright. So show me how to play." She said handing him the cards.

"Alright." He said smiling. He dealt the cards and looked up at her. "What do you think they're doing?"

"I don't know. But I know they're both anxious about the start of the trial. Especially Chris. He feels responsible for what happened."

"Well I can understand that. Wade Barrett is sick and twisted. He wants to hurt people who cross him and unfortunately Chris did when Wade killed Kaitlyn." Jon replied. "But it wasn't Chris's fault. Wade was going to hurt whoever he wanted and not think about what would happen after. I'm just sorry he hurt you."

"I keep thinking why didn't I fight him that night? I know how to fight back but it was like I was frozen in place. I couldn't react."

Jon looked at her. "There was nothing you could have done to stop him and none of this was your fault."

"I just feel it is. I keep going over it. Wondering if I had done something different, would it have stopped it? Then I think about and realize that he was determined to hurt my brother and he did. Chris blames himself and that's what Wade wanted. I know I have to move on and do therapy. But does that really help Chris deal with whatever he feels."

"We will get him into therapy too."

"Good luck trying to convince Chris to go to therapy. You know he likes to handle things not go to doctors." She said as they continued to play cards.

"Maybe Quinn can help him."

Chris laid in bed staring at the ceiling, the beginning of the trial running through his head. He sighed and looked over at Quinn as she laid there with her eyes closed.

"That's always been a creepy habit."

"What?" He asked her.

"Watching me sleep. It has always creeped me out."

"Why didn't you ever tell me?"

"Because you always seemed so peaceful watching me. And it got you to stop tossing and turning. You wanna talk about it?"

He sighed. "I'm worried about the trial. I'm worried about Tricia. I'm worried Wade will be found not guilty and get out and come back and finish the job. I'm so worried he will kill Tricia. And then I realize I'm to blame. Wade attacked Tricia because of me. And as hard as I try, I can't stop blaming myself."

"This isn't your fault. It's his fault. He's demented. But Tricia has something that Wade's not counting on. She's got us."

"I know but he should have come after me personally. Why did he have to go after the sweetest, gentlest person I know? I mean you know everyone loves her. All of her exes would get back with her in a minute if she wanted them. Well not Justin. He's happy with his current one. But Alex and Dwayne. They would happily get back with her. And I'm worried he ruined that part of her. What if she is never the same as before?"

"She's not going to be exactly the same. But with time and a little patience, maybe some therapy she'll be just as good as she always was."

He sighed. "I guess I just can't seem to get rid of my guilt. I look at my sister and her bruises and everything she will face with this trial, and I can't stop blaming myself. How do I get rid of my guilt? If I can't, how can I help my sister?"

"When we put him away, it'll be the beginning of the healing process for both of you."

"I hope so. But there is no guarantee he will be put away. He's a slick SOB. He got out of that murder charge for killing Kaitlyn. What if he does out of this too?" He looked at her. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to put all of this on you."

Quinn looked at him. "Just because we're not together anymore doesn't mean I don't still care about you and Tricia. I'm still here for you Chris."

"Thanks." He smiled.

"Do you think you can sleep now?"

"I hope so." He said as he got comfortable. He really hoped Wade went away for everything he had done to Tricia. With Wade in jail, Tricia could move on and hopefully have some what of a normal life.

He wrapped his arms around her waist instinctively and closed his eyes. He was soon asleep.

"I win again." Tricia said to Jon as she had won another round.

"That's five in a row. Are you hustling me? Do you really know how to play?"

"No. I only know what you taught me. Before tonight I have never played this game."

"Beginner's luck then." He said as she yawned. "Alright one last game and then you're going to bed missy."

"But I'm not really tired."

"Yes, you are. So we will finish this game and then bed. You have to rest." He looked at her. "Still have the nightmares?"

"Yes." She sighed. "I get some sleep but then they come."

"Are you still taking the medication?" He saw her look down. "Tricia, it will help you sleep. You have to get some sleep or you could get sick"

"I know but I hate to go to sleep and be in that place again. To relive what he did."

"How about this, you take your meds and we will sit and watch a movie until you get tired?"

"Okay." She said as they both stood up.

They headed into the living room and she took the meds and they got comfortable and he put in a romantic comedy. He hoped it all helped her sleep. She needed too to be able to deal with the trial and everything to come. He hoped, like everyone else, that Wade would get what he deserved for what he did. He looked over at her a little while later and saw she was asleep on his shoulder. He sighed and pulled a blanket over her. He didn't want to move too much and wake her up since she pretty much just got to sleep. He laid there and finally dozed off himself. He hoped she would sleep peacefully. It was obvious she needed it.
