Quinn woke up the next morning and slipped out of bed. She walked into the kitchen to get some coffee started. Once it was she walked to the living room. She saw that the DVD player was still on and it was at the menu of The Care Bear Movie. She stopped and turned to the sofa where Jon and Tricia were both asleep. Somehow during the night they ended up with Jon's arm around her and her head on his chest sleeping.

"Should that worry me?" She heard from the hallway and saw Chris standing there.

"No. Jon's a good guy."

Chris walked further into the room. "Yeah but she's not ready for anything. It's too soon."

"How do you know that I'm not ready for anything?"

He looked at Tricia who had woken up. "Because you're still healing from what happened. You aren't ready for anything."

"It's not like we had sex. We just fell asleep."

"I know that." Chris replied. "Tricia, I just don't want you hurt."

"I'm not going to be hurt. Jon and I are friends. He's my protection detail and my friend. He watches Care Bears and Beauty and The Beast with me. It's a friendship." She looked at him. "I'm not fragile. I won't break by having a male friend."

"I just want you to be careful. That's all." He replied ."Not all guys are like Wade but not all of them are nice either. They make you think they're nice and then bam, they turn into something else."

"Chris, I promise it's fine. We're friends. Just like I'm friends with Dwayne, Justin and Alex."

"Yeah but you've slept with them."

"And that's important why?" She asked him before looking at Jon and Quinn. "I'm so sorry you guys have to hear this. My brother thinking I can't handle my life right now because some crazy freak raped and beat me."

"That's not what I was thinking at all. I keep thinking about how this is all my fault because I couldn't protect you like I always have." Chris said as he walked back into his bedroom.

She sighed. "I'll be back." She said walking to the bedroom. She knocked on the door and waited for Chris to say come in. Once she heard it, she opened the door and walked in. "It wasn't your fault what happened."

"Everyone keeps saying that and it doesn't make it any easier to believe."

She sighed and sat down by him. "Chris, you're not responsible for the actions of Wade Barrett. He is crazy and he was going to do whatever he wanted. I don't think anything could have stopped him." She sighed. "I don't blame you. And I never would. This is just something that happened because an unstable man couldn't let go of a grudge. This is all on Wade. No one else."

"I just want to protect you. You're my baby sister."

"I know but I'm not a baby. I have to handle my own life. And I have to deal and heal with what Wade did to me. But I can't shut everything out. I have to move on. If I stay bitter and hurt, it will just poison my life. And I don't want that. I also don't want this to poison your life. Why don't you and Quinn go out tonight? Go see a movie or something?"

"What about you?"

"I can hang out with Jon and make him watch kiddie movies with me." She smiled. "Chris, I will be fine. I have my bodyguard. You go out and have fun with Quinn. I want you too. Please go out."

"What if Quinn doesn't want to go?"

"Oh of course she does." Tricia smiled. "So, go ask her or I will ask her for you."

"Alright I'll ask her."

"Good." She smiled. "Well, get to it."

He sighed and got up. "You're pushy you know."

"You knew that." She smiled and followed him out.

"Everything okay?" Quinn asked.

"Yep." Tricia smiled. She looked at Chris and mouthed get to it.

"Yeah. Umm, Quinn, I was wondering if you wanted to go to a movie with me tonight or something."

"Um..."

"What she means to say is she'd love to." Jon said. "And you guys should go to dinner first."

Quinn looked at Tricia. "Please go and have fun. I have my protection detail here with Jon. He and I will cook dinner and then I'm going to make him watch The Lion King with me."

"Hakuna Matta." Jon said causing her to laugh.

"I knew you liked that movie." She smiled. She turned to Chris and Quinn. "So, now you two can go out tonight and have fun." They nodded as they had breakfast.

The rest of the day went quickly and it was soon time for Chris and Quinn to go out. Tricia and Quinn had gone for a walk before the date.

"Alright let me go change." Quin said as they walked in.

Tricia turned to Chris. "Go change too."

"Alright." He said turning and heading into the bedroom.

Tricia turned to Jon and smiled. "Well that worked out. So, should we put Lion King in?"

"Pizza is on the way."

"I would have cooked for you." She said to him. "I can cook."

"I know but I thought this would be easier. We won't miss anything about the movie."

"Alright. Then let's watch Lion King."

"So where should we go?" Quinn asked as she and Chris headed out.

"How about dinner and a movie? Kind of like our first date."

"You do remember what happened on our first date don't you?" She asked. He smiled.

"Yeah I remember. I promise there will be no random trip to the emergency room."

She laughed. "Well I hope not because I'm not in the mood to go to it."

"No ER visit. So, dinner and a movie? And no kid movie."

"Sounds like a plan." She said. He nodded and they got into the cab and headed to the restaurant.

Jon watched as Tricia sang along with The Lion King. It was nice to see her relaxed and carefree.

"What?" She asked him when she saw him watching her.

"Nothing. I just never knew a woman who knew all the words to very song in The Lion King and I was thinking it was nice to see you happy."

"Quinn and Chris aren't hovering, I'm watching a great movie and I've got great company."

"I'm great company?" He asked.

"Yes. You don't make comments during the movies. And you like the same snacks as me. So you're great company. In fact, I'm going to let you pick the next movie."

"I'm honored." He said smiling.

"Well you should be. I don't let just anyone pick a movie." She smiled. "So, what movie are we watching now?"

"You have to promise not to laugh."

"Promise."

"I pick Beauty and the Beast."

"I love that movie. It's by far my favorite Disney movie." She smiled and got up and put it in the DVD player. "Just so you know, I will sing along with this one too."

"That's fine. You have a beautiful voice."

"Aww, that's sweet of you to say. But we know I don't have a great voice. I'm surprised dogs aren't howling." She laughed.

"Why would they? You do have a beautiful voice."

"I so don't." She laughed. "You don't have to flatter me." She said as she picked up the remote and pressed play. "Now, let's see Belle fall in love with the beast." Jon smiled and nodded.

Quinn looked at Chris as he sat across from her at the restaurant. "I haven't been here in a while."

"Really?" Chris replied. "This is one of your favorite places."

"It was when we came here together."

He looked at her as they looked over the menu. "Can I ask why you haven't been here since then?"

"I don't know. The place just had so many memories from when we were together. I mean, this was the place you told me you loved me for the first time. It just didn't seem right to come here after we broke up." She looked at him. "Have you been here?"

"No. I haven't. It just felt like our place plus I haven't really had time to date."

"Yeah you've been pretty busy with work." She said. He looked at her, guessing she was thinking about the night they'd broken up. He'd thought about it pretty often himself.

"Do you wanna talk about it? I mean we never really did, did we?" He asked.

"No, we didn't." She replied.

"Then let's do it now. Let's talk about it. I want us to."

"You're the one who decided to call it quits."

"I know." He replied. "And do you know why?"

"You said it was because we were busy with our careers. Was that the truth?"

"That wasn't the truth. No matter how busy we were, we always found time together. And then I realized one night that I didn't want to let you go. That I wanted to spend the rest of my life in your arms. And that scared the shit out of me. I hadn't felt that way in so long and last time I did, she left me for another man. I was afraid things with us would end the same way. So I pushed you away. I became distant after that and eventually broke things off before you could."

"So, you broke up with me because you wanted to spend your life with me?" She said looking at him. "You should have known me well enough to know that I would never leave you for another man. But I guess we didn't really know each other did we?"

"That's not true."

"Well then at least you didn't trust me." She said standing up. "I really think it's time to end this dinner. Let's just go home and we can tell Tricia we had a nice time."

"No. Let's stay here and talk about this. See if we can't start over."

"Why?" She asked.

"Because I was an idiot. Please. Let's try again." He looked at her. "Please don't run out on me now. You've been the only one keeping me sane during all of this. And having you around made me realize what a fool I was. And how much I love you even though I've tried to deny it to myself. Let's just put the past behind us and start over. I can't lose you all over again."

She looked at him and sighed. "Chris…"

"Quinn, please. Say we can try again."

"Is that what you really want?"

"Yes, it is. I want us to try again." She looked at him for a minute before she pulled her chair back out and sat down at the table. He couldn't help but smile. He hoped it meant that she was willing to try again or at least consider it. That was all he wanted.
