Eivor cried out in agony as she clutched her father's axe to her chest as a lifetime of memories blossomed into her skull. She fell to the floor panting as sweat and blood dripped to the floor.
"Eivor… Eivor! Are you okay? Have you been bewitched?" Yelled out Bragi
"Ugh… i'm fine. Just a headache." She gasped out as she held a palm to her left eye socket that felt empty.
"We'll hurry and untie me and the others before more of Kyovtes men come to check on us." Bragi called out.
"Right…" Eivor whispered out as she closed her left eye to hide the emptynees inside. Standing back up she slowly turned around trying to figure out how to walk in her younger body that was less muscular and had less weapons and armor equipped than she was use to.
Walking over to Bragi she prepared to unsheathe her hidden blade by flicking her wrist only to realize she was only clothed in thrall clothing that Kjovte and his ilk had surprisingly clothed her in before trying to sell her off as a slave.
Blinking her right eye again she came to and brought up her father's axe that she unconsciously had put on her belt before cutting Bragi's bonds.
Rubbing his aching wrists and arms Bragi gasped in shock as he looked at Eivor. "Gods Eivor you look like hell… what happened to your eye." He asked as he looked at Eivor's beaten and bloody face that had blood dripping from wounds and her left eye that was closed.
"I'll explain later it's a long story and I doubt everyone will believe me." Eivor chuckled mournfully.
"Right. I'll get the others out of that cell their locked in…" Bragi said before looking over to a chest by the table that had a map of Norway on it. "I think they put your armor in that chest over there." Bragi said before walking over to the dead body of Rikiwulf who had the prison keys hanging from his neck.
Nodding her head in thanks. Eivor walked over to the table and bent down in front of the chest and opened it. Which contained all her raven clan armor that she wore except her helmet that Kjovte kept as a prize for beating her and almost selling her as a slave. Pulling off her thrall clothing she grimaced in pain biting her lips as her younger body pulsed in agony from wounds she didn't remember having when she did this the first time.
Looking over at the table again she saw a pot of drinking water. Soaking the thralls clothing in them she wiped her face and body with them so that the wounds wouldn't get infected. Looking around she dropped the thralls clothing into a nearby pit that had a fire burning.
Going back to the table she saw bandages and herbs on it. Thanking her luck she had. She quickly mixed the herbs together in a pot with a mortar and started rubbing the crushed herbs into her wounds on her face and body.
Holding back a scream from the burning sensations she had all over her body. Eivor bit her lip and started carefully wrapping her wounds with the linen roll before then wrapping her left eye so that it could be looked at by Valka.
Hearing the rest of her crew getting out of their cage and stretching while waiting for Eivor to tell them what to do. They waited patiently for her since they all spied the wounds that covered her whole body.
One of her scouts and close confidant other than Randvi and Siguard walked over. "Eivor are you okay?" Sunniva whispered out as she gazed at her wounded leader and dear friend.
"Letting out a painful laugh. "I've definitely been better." She huffed out as she struggled to put on her armor. "Here let me help you drengr." Sunniva whispered out as she took Eivor's armor from her and slowly started helping her getting clothed being mindful of the wounds that littered her body.
"Did that Fitte do all this to you? Sunniva whispered out as she helped Eivor pull up her boots. Letting out a painful laugh and grimace. "No… all this came from something else. I'll tell you all later. It's quite the tale but i'm going to need you to lead the men and cut down the rest of Kjovte's men so I can make it to our boat." Eivor said grimacing from all the pain her body was in.
Nodding in shock that Eivor trusted her with leadership she bowed her head to her before walking over to the rest of Eivor's Vikings. "Alright Drengars Eivor's wounded and we need to get back to our dragon ship. So that we can all go home and get Eivor's wounds tended too.
"How bad are her wounds?" Norvid whispered out as he gazed back in forth between Sunniva and Eivor who was clutching the left side of her face where her missing eye was that was wrapping in linen that was wrapped around her head that was already starting to leak blood again.
"I'm in pretty bad shape." Eivor said as she walked slowly over to her ravens. "I need all of you to follow my commands and trust Sunniva to lead you to the dragon boat where Dag should be fetching it. There will be more of Kjovte's men in this village and on the beach where our dragon ship is. Kill as many as you can so I can make it there without stumbling into any of them." Eivor said grimacing in pain.
Nodding their heads in understanding Sunniva led the men to the door before slowly opening it and peaking out to see how many guards there were outside. Counting about a dozen in close proximity to the longhouse she looked over to Norvid. "Norvid, I need you to protect Eivor to make sure no stragglers take a chance to kill our wolf-kissed.
Nodding his head in understanding. Norvid brought Eivor's
Right arm around his shoulder while the rest of the raven Vikings made a circle around Eivor with Sunniva at the front to make sure none of Kjovte's men could reach Eivor.
