(A/N: Since the Super Crown turned Daisy into what looks like a carbon copy of Peach, it's time for our heroes to put their plan into play! I'll start this chapter so you won't be kept in suspense for too long!)
On their way to the Metro Kingdom, Mario was hoping Peach was okay, Cappy prayed that Tiara was fine, and Daisy was thinking about what she was going to do.
"So, Daisy, when are you going to let Bowser know who he's dealing with?" Cappy asked the flower princess.
"Not right away. I want to have some fun with him first." Daisy said.
"You don't mean..." Cappy asked.
"Ew, no! Not that kind of fun! You know, the kind of fun where he's not having any, but I am!" Daisy said.
"I like that!" Mario said.
"I know. And I have a great idea! I think I'll reveal myself at the wedding. That way, he's gone all that way, ready to carry out his evil plan... only to find out that he's been had!" Daisy exclaimed.
"Ooh, that'll hurt him!" Cappy said.
"Great plan, Daisy! I love it!" Mario praised.
"When I reveal myself, I plan to give Bowser a little something he'll never forget: the beating of his life!" Daisy said.
Mario knew he made the right choice when he asked Daisy to do this. If anyone could besides him could teach Bowser a lesson, it was Daisy.
After a while, Mario, Cappy, and Daisy found Bowser's airship in the Cloud Kingdom. They managed to catch up to him before he stopped in the Metro Kingdom!
"What is that?" Daisy asked, seeing the airship dead ahead.
"That's it! That's Bowser's airship! We've finally caught up to him at last!" Mario said, recognizing the airship.
"Time to go out there and trick him!" said Cappy.
"And time for me to get ready for my close-up." Daisy said, removing her crown and gloves before donning the Super Crown, which made her turn into what looked like her cousin.
"You look great, Daisy! Now just wait for us to call you." Mario said to Daisy as he and Cappy exited the airship.
Daisy quickly stashed her own crown and her gloves in the Odyssey's handy wardrobe, where Mario kept outfits he'd bought on his mission before he came up with this brilliant idea.
When Bowser saw the Odyssey keeping up with his airship, he was less than pleased. Even more so when he saw Mario standing outside of it with a character that looked like the one he kidnapped to be Peach's wedding tiara.
"Mario! I don't have time for you. I'm busy planning my wedding! Don't you know how stressful that is?!" Bowser asked.
"No, and I don't care." Mario said, adding to himself, "Because I'm about to make it much more stressful for you, you big goofball!"
Cappy heard that and started laughing to himself. He thought Mario referring to Bowser as a goofball was funny. And Bowser didn't even know!
"What's so funny, you hat-creature?!" Bowser asked Cappy, noticing that the Bonneter seemed to be laughing about something, and he was sure it had to do with him.
"Nothing. I was just thinking about a really funny joke I heard a while ago." Cappy lied.
"Mario!" Peach suddenly called out.
Mario looked and saw Peach standing there on the deck of Bowser's airship, now clad in the Lochlady Dress, and in her delicate hands she held the Soirée Bouquet, complete with its snapping Piranha Plants. Tiara was still resting on Peach's head, looking worried.
"Tiara!" Cappy called out to the worried-looking Tiara on Peach's head.
"Cappy! I'm so glad you're here!" Tiara called back to him, looking a sight happier now that she knew that her brother was here to save her and Peach.
When Mario saw the Princess, he was stunned. Peach looked so beautiful in the Lochlady Dress. She looked like an angel that had fallen from the Overthere! But then he remembered the mission, stopped gawking at Peach, and said, "Bowser, I have something very important to tell you."
Bowser said, "Oh really? I bet I already know what it is. You're going to feed me some outrageous lie, like saying that I won't want to marry Peach because you already not only slept with her but tainted her as well just so you can have her to yourself!"
"(gasp) Take that back!" Mario, Peach, Cappy, and Tiara shouted, shocked that Bowser would even think such a thing.
"I won't take it back! And guess what? Even if that was the case, I'm not falling for it! I know Mario's not stupid enough to sleep with a girl and get her pregnant before marrying her! Especially when the girl happens to be a princess!"
"And thank goodness for that." Peach mumbled to herself. That reason was one of the many reasons why she loved Mario so much. He would never do anything that she wasn't comfortable with.
"Yeah, well, for your information, you're wrong about what I was going to say! I have to tell you something about that girl in the wedding dress: she's not really Princess Peach." Mario said.
"What?!" Peach gasped in a whisper.
"What is he saying? You are Princess Peach!" Tiara said to Peach in a whisper, before adding, "Aren't you?"
"I'm the only Princess Peach I know of." Peach whispered back, being honest with the young Bonneter.
"You're lying, Mario! If she wasn't Princess Peach, you wouldn't be trying to save her!" Bowser said.
"She isn't really Peach, you dummy! That's just a decoy you've got! The real Peach is here on the Odyssey, with me and Cappy!" Mario said.
"Then where the heck is she?" Bowser asked, not seeing Peach with Mario and Cappy.
"Hold on. I'll get her." Mario said. He opened the door to the Odyssey and called out inside, "Peach! Come on out! Bowser wants to see you!"
Sure enough, a woman who looked like Peach stepped out of the Odyssey and stood next to Mario. Needless to say, Bowser, Peach, and Tiara were shocked out of their minds!
"Who is that girl that looks like you, Peach? Is she your identical twin sister? How come you didn't tell me about her?" Tiara asked quietly, stunned at this girl who looked so much like Peach.
"I don't have an identical twin sister, Tiara. And honestly, I can't tell who that girl is. I would say that it's Toadette in her 'Peachette' form, but it can't be her. It doesn't look much like her." Peach whispered, wondering just who the girl was.
"Princess Peach! What in the name of the Star Spirits are you doing with Mario?!" Bowser roared at 'Peach'.
"Trying to catch up with you so Mario can save that decoy that you obviously want to marry more than me, of course. And I'm surprised it took you this long to realize that you have a Peach decoy. How stupid can you get?" 'Peach' asked the Koopa King.
"Seriously, who is she?" Tiara quietly asked, laughing a little when she heard the girl say that Bowser was stupid.
"I really wish I knew, Tiara." Peach replied in a whisper, trying to cover up a smile at what the girl had said. But it really surprised her that the girl not only looked like her, but she sounded exactly like her.
"Are you kidding me, woman?! I'd much rather have you than some silly old decoy." Bowser said to 'Peach'. He was completely oblivious to the conversation Peach and Tiara were having. He couldn't hear them over his airship, and he could not believe how crazy he was to have fallen for a decoy.
"I beg your pardon! I may be a decoy, but I am not silly!" Peach said, offended.
"You're not Princess Peach, so I really don't give a rat's hat about your opinion!" Bowser told her.
"Rat's hat?" Peach and Tiara thought, confused.
"Well, Bowser, do you want to marry me, or what?" 'Peach' asked, giving Bowser a look.
"Of course I do!" Bowser said. He turned to Peach and said, "You! Go change out of that dress right now!"
"May I please go with the decoy when she rejoins Mario?" Tiara timidly asked Bowser before Peach could run off to do as Bowser demanded.
"NO! You're not going anywhere! You're staying here to be the wedding tiara that will be worn by the real Peach when I marry her! Ya got that, little missy?!" Bowser roared at Tiara.
Tiara's eyes were wide with fright! Why did Bowser have to go and yell at her like that?! She didn't do anything wrong. She even said 'please'.
"Y-yes, sir..." Tiara replied, her eyes filling with tears as she quickly flew into Peach's arms and started to sob. Peach was shocked to hear Tiara cry, but that shock turned to anger, which showed as she started glaring daggers at the Koopa King.
Cappy, on the other hand, was livid! Where did Bowser get the gall to yell at his baby sister like that?! All she did was ask him an innocent question, and that's how he treats her?! The nerve!
"Why, that miserable...!" Cappy muttered, ready to go into attack mode.
"WHOA! Hold it, Cappy!" Mario said as he and 'Peach' quickly reached out and grabbed the Bonneter, trying to hold him back.
"Mario, that creep just yelled at my little sister for no good reason, and I know he made her cry! You think I'm just going to sit here and let him get away with upsetting her like that?!" Cappy asked, struggling to get free so he could clobber the daylights out of the Koopa King.
"You have to!" Mario said.
"Besides, you don't have to worry for long, because I'll get back at him for you! I promise!" 'Peach' whispered to Cappy.
"Oh, all right! Fine! Can I go back into the Odyssey and vent there, please?!" Cappy asked, realizing there wasn't much he could do against Bowser, anyway.
"Yes." Mario said, opening the door and allowing Cappy to go back in. Once inside, Cappy slammed the door shut, and then he began to vent about the unfairness of it all. He hoped Bowser suffered greatly for hurting Tiara's feelings like he did. He was hoping that whatever Daisy did to the Koopa King when she joined him would be enough to make Bowser sorry.
"Weren't you listening to me, decoy?! I told you to go change so the real Peach can wear that dress! Go do it! And do it NOW!" Bowser yelled at the glaring Princess, making the frightened Tiara cry even more.
"Right away, Bowser!" Peach said, saying his name in disgust as she made her way back into the airship and to the bride's chamber, where Bowser had changed her into the dress himself when she refused to put it on.
"Don't be afraid, Tiara. I'm here for you. It's just the two of us alone right now." Peach said, stroking the trembling Bonneter's head like she was a kitten in a bid to comfort her.
After closing the door to the bride's chamber behind her, Peach sat down in a chair and slipped the white high heels off of her feet while continuing to calm Tiara, who she moved to her shoulder.
"There now, Tiara. It's going to be okay. I promise." Peach assured her, feeling a bit like a mother as she tried to comfort the young Bonneter.
"W-why did he have to... g-go... and y-yell at me... P-Peach?! I-I didn't do... anything wrong! I even s-said... 'please'!" Tiara sobbed into Peach's shoulder.
"I know, Tiara. Bowser's just a big, dumb, stupid jerk. He even yells at me for absolutely no reason." Peach said to Tiara.
"W-Why does he have to... g-go and... do that? I-I'm... s-s-scared and I... I w-wanna go home! I miss B-Bonneton... and I... I really m-miss... C-C-Cappy!" Tiara wailed.
Peach wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to calm Tiara down. She wished the girl's brother was here right now to do the job, or at least tell her how to comfort his sister. But then she had an idea. She started to sing a little song to Tiara to comfort her. She sang the song "You Are My Sunshine".
That song worked, for Tiara calmed down pretty quick.
"Thanks, Peach. I'm glad you were here with me." Tiara said, feeling better.
"You're welcome, Tiara." Peach said, setting Tiara on her lap and handing her a box of tissues before removing her gloves.
"I still wonder where Mario found that girl that looks like you?" Tiara said as she moved to the vanity table in the room, closing her eyes to give Peach the privacy she needed as she quickly but carefully removed the Lochlady Dress.
"I'm not sure, but I'm sure Mario will tell me who she is. Wow, I can't believe Mario caught up to us and tricked Bowser! I owe Mario so big for doing this for me! He really is an amazing man!" Peach said to herself as she got changed back into her pink dress, let down her hair, and put on her normal gloves and shoes.
"I hope that the girl Mario found, whoever she is, is a good person." Tiara said.
"I'm sure she is, or else she wouldn't have come with Mario to help me." Peach replied, wishing Bowser hadn't thrown her crown away when he captured her. She honestly felt a little naked without it.
"I wish I could join you, Peach. I know that I'm really going to miss you. Not as much as I miss my home and Cappy, but... you know..." Tiara moaned, looking at Peach.
"I'm sure that my look-alike, whoever she is, will be as nice to you as I was." Peach assured the Bonneter, patting her head.
"I hope so." Tiara said as Peach went back out onto the deck.
The second Peach left the room, Tiara was all alone, praying that Peach would be okay, and that this new Peach was a good person that she would be able to trust.
"Okay, I'm ready to leave you, Bowser." Peach said to Bowser as she returned to the deck of the airship.
"Good. Now get out of here." Bowser said to Peach, picking her up and throwing her at the Odyssey!
'Peach' and Mario were in complete shock when they saw Bowser throw Peach like that! Peach was terrified out of her mind!
"MARIO, HELP ME!" Peach screamed at the top of her voice.
"OMG!" 'Peach' gasped.
"MAMA-MIA!" Mario cried, jumping up and catching Peach in his big, strong arms. And he landed back on the Odyssey with no trouble, holding Peach bridal style.
"Thank you, Mario. My hero!" Peach said, smiling at Mario and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Since Bowser never got to see Peach kiss Mario before, he thought nothing of it. He also thought nothing of the fact that the decoy was screaming for Mario to help because he figured the decoy knew about Mario's heroic acts, and of course she'd yell for him.
"No problem, my super beautiful lady. I'm always happy to help a lovely lady in need." Mario smiled back at the Princess, glad that he had her back, safe and sound.
Peach's eyes sparkled like diamonds as she smiled at Mario, feeling so safe and happy in his arms. She never wanted him to let go of her.
"Okay, Bowser! Ready or not, here I come!" said 'Peach', jumping aboard his airship.
"Now Mario, do me a favor and leave me alone, because you're not invited to the wedding!" Bowser said as he put an arm in front of the Princess, trying to keep Mario from seeing her. It didn't work, though, because 'Peach' still managed to peek out from behind Bowser's arm and wave good-bye to Mario and the real Peach.
"Relax, Bowser. Peach told me last night that she'd much rather have you than me, and I want her to be happy, so if she wants to be with you, then you can have her, as much as it pains me to do this." Mario said.
"Wow! I never would've guessed that she'd turn her feelings to me after all these years, or that you'd be so willing to let her go with me." Bowser said to himself as he led 'Peach' inside his airship and flew away.
"Let's-a go home." Mario said as Cappy opened the door so he could carry Peach inside the Odyssey.
When they were safely inside the Odyssey, Mario carefully set Peach on her feet.
"Are you okay, Peach, sweetie?" Mario asked.
"I am now! Thank you, Mario! I love you so much!" Peach exclaimed as she knelt down, grabbed Mario, and gave him a big, smacking kiss and a good long squeeze!
"I love you, too, my sweet Princess..." Mario said, completely lovestruck.
Now we have reached the end of Chapter 3. I honestly did not expect this story to be so long! Well, stay tuned, 'cause we're still far from over!
