Chapter 2

"Yo Satomi" Choji called out

Shikamaru groaned. "So troublesome."

Satomi who went back to work was bringing other customers their meal when she heard Choji call out to her.

"Enjoy" She smiled to the couple she was serving. She walked back to where she last saw Choji. She smiles. "Oh, what is it you need Choji-San?" She asked shyly her eyes never leaving Shikamaru's.

"Oh, we are going to walk you home." Choji smiles

"Oh, you don't have to. Hinata-Chan and Neji-Kun usually walk me home." Satomi said smiling sweetly.

'That's odd what reasons does Neji have walking her home everyday' He thought to himself with a shrug of his shoulders.

Choji's smile dropped just a bit. "Oh alright, well we will see you later then." Choji said as he looked at Shikamaru. The two ninja leave the BBQ place as Hinata and Neji walk up.

"Hi Hinata." Choji greets. Hinata smiles.

"Oh...How are y-you?' Hinata greets him in a small voice. Shikamaru notices Neji with his arms crossed and a stern face.

"I-I'm grabbing some f-food then me and S-satomi-san wi-will get tea." Shikamaru then looked back at Hinata and had caught some of the conversation with Choji.

"Oy, why is Neji here anyway?" Shikamaru asks curiously ignoring the look Choji throws at him. It was the type of look that said didn't you hear anything Satomi had said.

"O-oh, he usually walked me home as his duty." She whispers not so happily to herself not liking the predicament with the clan. "I also think he actually enjoys our company." She mumbled out

Shikamaru felt annoyed. Why he wasn't really sure. Shrugging it off, towards his favorite cloud watching area. "Well have a good time you two." as he walked off with Choji

Choji went home. Finally finding a good spot in the field to lay down and watch the clouds before it got dark. Above he noticed the white fluffy clouds. Watching them briefly he soon found his frustration from the girl burn away.

*Ding. Ding. Ding*

Satomi looks up seeing Hinata and Neji walk in. Her smile brightens up. "Hinata-Chan, Neji-Kun. It's nice to see you both, Would you like your usual order?" Satomi asked wiping her hands on her apron and grabbing her notepad.

Smiling Hinata nods taking a seat at the table. Neji's hint of lilac eyes stared into Satomi's piercing red orbs. Smirking playfully. "You sure do know what I like." Neji winked at the shy girl who began to blush. The flirtation between the two was going over Hinata's head completely.

"I'll be back with your pork and dango then." She replied a little to smugly heading back into the kitchen to place the order.

Quickly Satomi attended to her other customers after leaving the kitchen before coming back to her friends. Carrying several plates Satomi puts the plates of food down. Rice, with pork and Hinata's order of dango with two bowls of miso as well. "Enjoy. And I'll be off work soon." She smiled, ready to leave the table when her boss noticed her and smiled. "Satomi, take the rest of the shift off, enjoy a meal with your friends." The man had called out. Blushing she nodded rushing to the back to remove her apron and grab her self some miso and dango as well.

Making her way back into the dining hall and table with Neji watching her every move. Satomi noticed and decided to sit next to Hinata instead.

"How was the exams Hinata-Chan?" Hinata sighed as she looked down at her food. Satomi noticed her posture had changed dramatically. Looking over towards Neji giving him a quizzical look.

"Hinata-Sama and I had to fight against each other, and I had won. She believes it was due to the fact she is weaker than me and I told her she was perfect she put up an amazing fight." Neji said trying to have Hinata look up again.

"Hinata-Chan you are an amazing ninja, do not ever doubt yourself of how good you are." Satomi put her hand on Hinata's shoulder trying her best to cheer up her best friend. Hinata had finally put her head up and smiled a tiny smile and then smiled more when Neji had nodded in agreement.

"We should be celebrating Neji's-Ni san victory. He is going to be in the final round with N-N-Naruto K-un." Hinata blushed a bright red. Satomi smiled knowing very well she had a huge crush on the Uzumaki boy. It was very cute to see her blush and stutter every time he was mentioned or around. "Oh, Satomi-Chan would you like to join us for a small get together? The clan is throwing a small thing for Neji." Hinata had asked hopefully not wanting to be alone with her father.

Satomi had looked over to Neji to see if he was the one was behind this event being invited to. Knowing if he did he would never have asked her himself. To her luck Neji gave her a cocky grin. Satomi blushed and started to much on the dango again.

"Satomi-Chan?" Hinata had called a loud a little to see if Satomi had heard the question she was asking earlier.

"Oh, I'm sure mother would not mind, but I will ask her after we have our regular tea time." She had mumbled out trying not to make eye contact with Neji. Said boy was amused and crossed his arms over his chest enjoying the fact he could get to the young bluenette.

'I do not see why I have to walk her home everyday, Uncle makes it seem dire to be friends with her, that it is best for the clan, she is weird but kinda cute in an odd way.' Neji Thought to himself as he watched the two girls chatter away about silly things.

Shikamaru was so into his cloud watching he almost didn't notice three figures walking up behind him. Before he knew it, he had gotten the wind knocked out of him and was wheezing trying to catch his breath again When his eyes came to look at his chest to see why there was so much wait there he saw a bundle of blue hair tangled in his hands and face.

"I am so sorry Nara-San" Satomi tried to get up but her hair was a mangled mess. Shikamaru lazy scanned her face. Knowing indeed this was a drag. Slowly he got his free hand and tried to slowly removing the strands of hair. Soon he began to smell the scent of sunflowers and an earthy tone. He felt the same jolt of electricity rush through his fingers. Satomi breathed hitched as she felt the same jolt. Satomi's face began to flush and heat up.

"I'm so sorry for tripping over you." Satomi began to help Shikamaru with her hair. There hands always gently brushing by each other the feeling of electricity of never leaving.

"No need to apologize to him Satomi-San, he was just laying around like a lazy idiot." Neji spoke as he pulled Satomi off of Shikamaru. "Now if you excuse us Shikamaru we are late for tea and some shogi with my uncle." The Hyuga prodigy spat taking Satomi's hand.

"I like tea and shogi, Hinata's is a friend so I'm sure she would not mind me joining you all. I mean i made it to the finals as well." Shikamaru yawned while stretching his muscles on his arms.

Satomi and hinata looked at each other. Hinata did not want to be rude. Neji was fuming seeing that his cousin was actually thinking of inviting the nara after embarrassing himself. Hinata smiled and told the Nara he was more then welcome to join. Satomi let go of Neji's hand as she blushed and began to look at her feet when the four young ones made there way to the Hyuga compound.

'Funny i hate tea.' Shikamaru thought to himself with a smirk.
