Sekirei One Shots

(A/N: I own nothing and this is just a random one shot that pops into my brain. Be prepared for anything AU and OOC should be expected.)

"I'm back." Minato said tiredly as he got back to the Inn from work.

"Ah welcome home Minato-kun!" Miya said immediately and she brightened up at the sight of him being back home from work. The boy was a bit irritating and wimpy but he had a good heart and he cared greatly for his flock, something that Miya was glad to see.

"You look really tired Mi-kun." Musubi said looking at her Ashikabi who just chuckled and waved it off.

"My co-worker didn't show up so I had to do his work as well as mine." Minato said with a small yawn as he hugged his flock who were happy to hug him in return.

"By the way here you go Miya-san." Minato said handing the woman an envelope.

"That should be all the back rent we owe you as well as rent for the next month." Minato said and Miya raised an eyebrow at this but tucked it away in her kimono.

"Thank you but you know you didn't have to do that all at once. Besides I thought you were saving up?" Miya asked tilting her head at him while Kazehana looked worried as she helped the tired young man to sit down on the couch between her and Miya.

"I am. I've been saving up to pay you back in full all at once. Thanks to my coworker not showing up today I got paid double, plus my other job paid me a bonus for stopping a few fights the other night." Minato said yawning slightly and he was pulled to lay his head on Kazehana's shoulder while Kagari quickly fetched him something to drink.

"You should hang onto some and build up some capital." Miya said although she looked worried about how tired the boy seemed.

"I have been saving up. There's still a couple of thousand yen in the bank. And since I doubt this will be the last time my coworker fails to show up for work I should be alright for cash for a while." Minato said although he was closing his eyes.

"Here. You should take your medicine before you fall asleep." Kagari said holding a bottle of water and a medicine bottle out for Minato.

"Ah…thanks." Minato said and his hands shook as he reached out and took the bottles. His hands shook horribly and Miya frowned at him now, she had seen his hands shaking before but hadn't thought much of it. She had seen his hands shaking horribly once before though and had seen how his Sekirei all looked worried but had been more focused on how Kazehana was having his arm held between her breasts as she fed him some of her supper.

Minato winced as he fumbled the medicine bottle, causing Miya to quickly catch it.

"Minato-kun you're exhausted and your hands are shot. Why didn't you call one of us?" Kazehana asked looking worried as she took the bottle of water from him even as Miya looked at the medicine bottle. It was a prescription for Gabapentin. An anti-seizure medicine.

"Ah I forgot my phone in my room." Minato said and he was barely staying awake while Miya turned the bottle over in her hand.

"Minato-kun you suffer from seizures?" Miya asked looking at the boy even as Musubi took the medicine bottle from her and took out two pills.

"Ah. Peripheral Neuropathy. The medicine helps." Minato murmured as Musubi held the pills to his lips. Kazehana gently coaxed some water down his throat to help him swallow the pills.

"I see." Miya said looking at him and she felt a flash of worry through her. Was that why his Sekirei so protective of him and wanted one of them near him at all times? Was that why sometimes he wasn't able to stay on his feet or pick anything up?

"Here Onii-chan. Kuu made you flower crown! It'll make you feel better!" Kuusano said holding up a flower crown of flowers she grew herself in the garden.

"Thanks Kuu-chan." Minato murmured as he dozed off on Kazehana's shoulder, the crown settled nicely on his head as Kuusano crawled into his lap to snuggle him worriedly.

"Should he not be on the shoulder of his true wife?" Tsukinomi asked even though she didn't seem to mean anything by it, there was no heat to her words.

Kazehana smirked slightly and glanced at the scum across from them.

"I thought you and Kagari would like the chance to show Seo-san here our displeasure for him causing our Minato to overwork." Kazehana said and Tsukinomi's eyes went wide before she grinned viciously as she spun to face Seo who was looking shocking and a bit guilty as he sat across from them.

"You work with Minato-kun?" Miya was surprised. She hadn't been aware that Minato's work partner was the scum that came to mooch off of her regularly.

"There is no violence in the Inn….but we can sure drag you out of it and show you our displeasure." Kagari said glaring darkly as she grabbed Seo and literally dragged him out of the house.

"I'll be expecting you to tell me anything you can about his condition and anything I may be able to do to help." Miya said looking at the sleeping boy on Kazehana's shoulder as Kuusano curled up on his lap more firmly and Musubi was hovering nearby worriedly.

"Go ask Matsu, she's known about this longer than the rest of us giving that she looked him up to see what he was like and looked up all kinds of different things to try and help." Kazehana said and she smiled so softly down at Minato that Miya felt both glad and saddened by the sight of it. Glad and happy that one of her feathers, her little sister, had found her destined one.

Saddened because this situation was far too much like Uzume's to not bring up bad parallels in Miya's mind and because Miya was a little jealous that she would never get to have that special bond with anyone.

"I'll fetch you both a blanket and set aside some dinner for later." Miya said as she stood and kissed Kuusano's forehead and then Kazehana's, hesitating for a split second before kissing Minato's as well.

"Thanks Miya." Kazehana was grateful to her elder sister who merely smiled and covered them with a blanket then went to start up on supper.

If she saw Seo again anytime soon, he'd probably be in a body bag.

Judging by the sounds of violence out in the streets near the front of the inn Tsukinomi and Kagari he just might end up in one anyways.

Her little sisters were not pleased with how Seo's actions made their kind Ashikabi overwork himself.
