Sekirei One Shots

(A/N: I own nothing and this is just a random one shot that pops into my brain. Be prepared for anything AU and OOC should be expected.)
Things had started innocently enough. Minato's younger sister Yukari had come to visit and meet her big brothers girlfriends/wives. Since she would only be there for a day or two Miya had waved the rent for her, although Minato was planning to slip Miya a little bit extra in the rent money this month to thank her.
They were all sitting down to lunch when Yukari tilted her head curiously as she thought of something. The question that would change quite a few things.
"Ne…you all have a mom or dad right? What are they like?" Yukari asked and Minato instantly sucked in a sharp breath while the table went silent as everyone looked at her.
"Why do you ask Yukari-san?" Miya asked making Yukari shrug her shoulders slightly.
"I'm just curious. Onii-chan and I don't have a dad and I've only seen our mom a handful of times, usually when she would take me to a store and give me her credit card to shop with while she was on the phone with work." Yukari said and Miya frowned at that as she looked at Minato who was staring at his sister.
"Ah I don't have parents." Kazehana said a little awkwardly while glancing at Minato as well, Kagari nodding her agreement with Kazehana.
"What's a mom or dad?" Musubi asked tilting her head innocently.
"Oh oh Kuu knows! Mom's are nice and warm and loving and they read you bed time stories or sing to you and kiss your owwies better and they make sure you're safe and healthy and happy and get lots to eat!" Kuusano said making Yukari tilt her head with a small frown.
"No that's what Onii-chan does." Yukari said while Musubi looked wide eyed at the youngest Sekirei.
"Sugoi! Do Mom's really do that?" Musubi asked making the two older Sekirei in the flock shrug their shoulders slightly while Minato looked embarrassed and Kuusano nodded her head.
"Yeah! Mom's are really nice and they love you lots!" Kuusano said happily and Musubi grinned widely.
"So that makes Landlady our mom?" Musubi asked and Miya nearly choked on her tea at that while Kazehana snorted slightly and Kagari coughed to keep from laughing. It even sounded like there was a cackle from upstairs.
"But that's not what mom's do. That sounds more like Onii-chan." Yukari said frowning at that and Minato sighed slightly and reached over to pat her on the head.
"Yukari-chan calm down. Everyone's family is different remember?" Minato asked and Yukari frowned harder but nodded her head.
"What's your mom like Yukari-san, Minato-kun?" Kazehana asked smirking at Miya who had a bit of a red tint to her face and looked flattered and embarrassed.
"Er…" Minato tried to think of something to say and how to say it exactly but Yukari beat him too it.
"Nothing like Kuu-chans. Our mom left us with our grandma and she only called on our birthdays…if she remembered sometimes she'd call a few months late cause she got our birthdays wrong. I think the first time I ever saw her in person was when I started middle school. That about right Onii-chan?" Yukari asked looking at her brother and completely oblivious to how the room was losing the bit of lightheartedness that came from Musubi's remark.
"Ah…" Minato thought back and then frowned as he nodded his head.
"Yeah that sounds right. I only remember seeing her that once too." Minato said not noticing how the others in the room looked confused or startled by this.
"Yeah it was really weird. She thought Onii-chan was starting middle school that year cause she offered to walk me to the Elementary School. She seemed really surprised to hear that Onii-chan was in his second year at middle school." Yukari said and Kazehana set down her sake with a serious frown on her face.
"She's our mom. We're supposed to think she's weird." Minato tried to joke but Yukari shook her head.
"Yeah but it's like she never even got the calls from the school about how the bullies would try to beat me up only for you to save me. And when she saw the bruises on you that one time from the bullies she told you to stop being a useless brat who only picks fights instead of studies even though you had the highest grades in the school and were in the top ten for the district." Yukari said and Musubi frowned as well now, Kuu looking confused and worried.
"And when the bullies would be really bad and Onii-chan went to the hospital protecting me she wouldn't come and visit and acted like she didn't know anything about him being there…but when I went to the hospital once cause of a car accident she came and visited for a little while and yelled at Onii-chan for not keeping an eye on me and looking out for me even though he was just as hurt as I was." Yukari said frowning heavily now as she thought about it. The Sekirei all looked at Minato who winced and rubbed the back of his neck. The older Sekirei were slowly starting to release Killing Intent the longer Yukari talked. Something the girl seemed oblivious to.
"Come to think of it. She always called Onii-chan useless too…and I don't think she ever took him shopping like she did me." Yukari said and was stopped from saying anything else by Minato patting her head again.
"That's enough Yukari-chan. If you keep talking about Okaa-san then your food will get cold. Miya-san is a great cook and you wouldn't want to waste the food would you?" Minato asked making Yukari's eyes widen as she hurriedly picked up her chopsticks again.
"Right! Sorry Miya-san." Yukari said and then began to eat her food happily.
Minato smiled at her and did his best to ignore the stares of the others as he began to eat his own food again as if nothing was wrong. The older Sekirei were exchanging looks as they realized that this explained a lot about Minato. Like why he was such a pacifist and seemed to have zero self confidence.
"Your mom…doesn't sound too nice. No offense." Kagari said staring at her Ashikabi who just gave a small shrug and smile.
"Ah well she can be a bit…brash and have high expectations but she's still my mom." Minato said shrugging his shoulders again and sipping his tea.
"Well Onii-chan needs a nice mom too! Kuu-chan can share her mom!" Kuusano said brightly and Minato nearly choked on the tea and hurriedly set his cup down.
"Who's your mom Kuu-chan?" Yukari asked while Minato wiped his mouth and then began to eat his fish.
"Landlady!" Kuu said brightly. Both Miya and Minato choked at that while Kazehana laughed. Kagari was patting Minato on the back as Musubi rushed over to pat Miya on the back as well and there was a definite cackle from upstairs now.
"Didn't know you were adopting Miya! I'd offer to be the wine aunt-"
"As if that wasn't obvious." Minato muttered with a small snicker. Kazehana stared at him surprised for a moment while Kagari snorted loudly.
"That's the snarkiest thing you've ever said. I'm so proud of you!" Kazehana said glomping Minato's head between her breasts with a grin on her face.
"But as I was saying Miya, I'd offer to be their wine aunt but since it seems like I'm dating your new son it looks like I'm your daughter-in-law!" Kazehana said grinning at Miya who sighed slightly and bonked Kazehana on the head with a ladle.
"Illicit activities are prohibited in this inn Kazehana. Kindly release Minato-kun before he suffocates." Miya said making Kazehana release the boy who was now sucking in large amounts of air.
"Can you share your mom with me too Kuu-chan?" Yukari asked staring at the little girl who had raced over to check on her Onii-chan worriedly. Kuusano happily nodded her head and Yukari beamed.
"Sweet! Hi Kaa-san!" Yukari said jumping up to hug Miya who blushed a bit while Musubi cheered and hugged Miya as well.
"Congrats Miya. You've got a bunch of children now." Kagari said smirking at the oldest of the group who gave a small sigh but she was trying not to smile.
"You know you'd count in that group since you're dating Minato-kun right Kagari-san?" Miya asked with a raised eyebrow and Kagari paused and blinked for a second.
"Miya…you've been treating me and Kazehana as your kids ever since you met us and pretty much adopted Musubi as soon as she and Minato-kun dropped into your yard." Kagari said slowly as she stared at the older woman.
"Not to mention how you adopted Kuu-chan as soon as she joined us. Face it Miya. You've been a mom for a while now and never realized it." Kazehana said with a snicker even as she drank from her sake.
"Oh my it seems like you want to go without dinner tonight." Miya said and Kazehana immediately held her hands up in surrender.
"Point proven."
